Importing a data disc with mP3's to iTunes

I created several data discs of mP3's when I had my computer worked on and the hard drive reprogrammed. I can play the cd's that i made in a Bose audio system that plays mP3's. Does anyone know how I can import those songs from that disc. I tried going to import and choose the folder but the file format .mP3 is not there for me to choose. Help!
Thanks,

  • Importing from Data Disc

How do I take a data disc that has multiple albums on it and import the songs into my itunes library? If I drag and drop into the library in itunes only the song lists transfers over and if I drop it into the itunes music folder on my hard drive the song list does not show up in itunes unless I highlight each song and play it. Please Help?

"What happens when you go to File > Add Folder to Library and select the music folder(s) on your disc?"
So you are saying that is has to be a two step process. First I copy all the files over and then add the song list to itunes by pointing itunes to the updated folder.
Since itunes is already pointing to this folder for my existing music will those songs now show twice?

  • How do I import binary data files (with header info) into DIAdem?

We have lots of data acquired by nCode datagate. Files are binary data with header info. How do I import this into DIAdem? Typical (short) file attached. Also of interest, can I stream data from Sony PC208/SIR1000 recorders?

I have successfully imported your file into DIAdem using the nCode file filter included with DIAdem. You might have to make that file filter known to DIAdem by following these steps (this assumes you have version 8 of DIAdem):
    1. Go to the 'Window' menu in DIAdem and select 'Close all'
    2. Go to the 'Settings' menu and select 'GPI-DLL Registration'
    3. Click the 'Add' button in the window and select the 'GfSnCode' DLL in the 'DIAdem/AddInfo' directory
    4. The program will prompt you to restart.
    5. After you have restarted DIAdem, go to the DATA icon, select 'File - Open' from the DATA menu and in the dialog that appears, choose 'nSoft Data File Format' in the 'Files of type:' field.
    6. Select your data file and load
    That's it.
With regards to your Sony reco
rder data, I would need to get my hands on an actual data file to try it out. In general, DIAdem can import ANY binary file format by creating a header in the 'File - Import via header' section in DATA. If you have lots of data files from the SONY recorder, a DLL can be created for that specific file format with the free DLL toolkit included with DIAdem.

  • How to import repeated data cells with XML?

    Hello!
I have some little troubles with the XML import functionality.
    Let's consider a billing table:
    Item
    Price
    Tax percentage
    VAT
    Total price
    Item description
    $80
    20%
    $20
    $100
    Total
    $80
    $20
    $100

Yes, I just missused Ctrl+S, and I posted my question too early. Then I lost the update of my question
I'll have to re-type the whole stuff..
Well, here is a shot version of the question; this is what I get when importing XML:
    Item
    Price
    Tax percentage
    VAT
    Total price
    Item description
    $80
    20%
    $20
    $100
    Item description
    $80
    20%
    $20
    $100
    Item description
    $80
    20%
    $20
    $100
    Total
    $80
    $20
    $100
The XML structure repeats the cells. But, in InDesign, new lines are not generated accordingly: extra cells are added to the last cell of the line...
    Thanks

  • How do I import a Data CD (with music) into iTunes?

I am trying to transfer music from Windows iTunes to Mac iTunes. Burned CDRs as Data CDs but I cannot seem to import them into Mac iTunes - help!

Try using File>Add to Library, navigate to the DVD and click Choose. Make sure that under iTunes>Preferences>Advanced>General you have "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" ticked.

  • DM Error on "Import into Fact Table with Clear"

    Hi,
I just got the following error on executing an import.
The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified. (Microsoft Data Transformation Services
(DTS) Data Pump (80042028): TransformCopy 'DTSTransformation__7' conversion error:  Destination
overflowed on column pair 1 (source column 'SIGNEDDATA' (DBTYPE_STR), destination
    column 'SIGNEDDATA' (DBTYPE_NUMERIC)).)
I have a very simple import, with a convertion file only changing one member name (in the data file) into another (in the application).
Can anybody point towards where the problem can be so I can investigate further?
    Regards,
    Rafa

    Hi all,
as an update, aware of this thread BPC 7.0 MS-Transformation File Error Duplicated Signeddata I inserted an Amount=SignedData in my transformation file, but still same error. As suggested in that thread I tried to import the data file with only 2 records, and it worked ok!! In my case I don't think it is a problem with the data as I am trying to import a data file that I have just exported from a similar application.
So I export data into a file, try to import it and have the mentioned error. I delete all the rows but 5, try to import it and it works.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Rafa

Try cleaning the lens and see if that will restore functionality to the DVD drive.  Use a DVD lens cleaning disk, if you have a can of compressed air, shoot some into the slot or wrap a fine microfiber cloth (eyeglasses cleaning cloth)  around a business card and insert it gently inside the slot.

  • How to read in date/time with ascii import

I have an ascii data file with a time column in the following format
    ddd hh:nn:ss
the seconds are like 11.1234567, so it would look like
    234 12:23:11.1234567
I have tried different format options to read this in
with no luck. The data I read in I am then using in CLIP/Insight. The video has this time on it and I need it in the data set to be able to sync them up.

The problem with this data format seems to be the 'ddd' at the beginning of the data format.
DIAdem expexts the 'dd' to be a day of a month, not a day in a year. I can offer you a solution though:
Please upload or send me two of your data files and we will create a little script in DIAdem that will import your data format and make it available in DIAdem and DIAdem CLIP.
You can upload them here in the forum or send them to me at:
    [email protected]
Please compress the files (with ZIP or similar technology) if they are large.

  • Import tabular data not working with Word file

The File-->Import-->Tabular Data feature works fine
with a text file, but only puts in table tags
(<table></table>) when I use a Word file (same data
with same delimiter in both files).
    Any idea what's going on?

You will not be able to use Import Tabular Data with a *.doc
    file - how
would DW know what to import when you give it the entire
    document? You
would need to use either a plain text file, as you have found
    out, or save a
new document containing only the table, and import that.

  • Export and import table data with Java

I need a library for simple exporting and importing table data.
The data should be exported to a SQL file with insert statements.
I just want to tell the library the table name, the connection and where to store the file. The usage should be very simple.
Are there any small libraries for this? Finished calsses and methods which I can just call?

  • Has anyone had issues with Administration\Data Import/Export\Data Import???

Has anyone had issues with Administration\Data Import/Export\Data Import???
I have a client who has recently upgraded from V2007 to V8.81. They were succesfuly  using this standard function to import supplier prices to their master price list, but now it has failed?
I have looked at the file they are importing and it appears to be fine.
On closer inspection, it did contain approx 46,000 entries, so I took the first 1,000 and created a test file, which imported fine.
The only issue I found was Speed, with the test file of 1,000 records taking about 30 Mins to import. This appeared to get slower and slower the further through the file it got!
Based on this, I have estimated that the whole file would takle about 13 hours to import. The client say that when they used to run it on version 2007 it was far quicker?
In practice, it does appear to run, but the speed is the issue. Having said this, I set the whole file to run last night (over night)and this morning it had appeared to hang after about 2,307 rows, with nothing else being updated.
Has anyone any ideas or is aware of performance issues like this?
    Thanks,
    Ian

Always an option, but would you give your clients access to this tool?
    Not sure really.
I have uploaded a copy of their database onto my test system and run the same routine. Its equally as SLOW
I can't gauage if its an issue with 8.81 that 2007 didn't have, as I only have the client's word on it, however I have no reason to disbelieve them.
    Kind regards,
    Ian

  • Issues with importing song data and artworks

    Hi all,
I am having annoying problems with importing songs to iTunes. I recently reinstalled my OS (Windows 7) and iTunes. Now, that I want to import all the songs, I'm facing some difficulties:
    1. iTunes just won't import song data for some albums, although they are clearly included in the song. Windows Media Player has no problems with them, it is just iTunes. Funny thing, so far it only happens to songs previously encoded by iTunes...
    2. A very general problem: iTunes doesn't import artworks properly, coming with the files. Even if it is music that was previously imported by iTunes. I can see the artwork in the Windows Explorer and in the Windows Media Player... but not in iTunes. But then again, sometimes, it works automatically... maybe 1 out of 6 albums...
Any ideas? maybe it's the ID3 tag version, script issues (UTF, vs. ASCII,...)
    Cheers. Alex.

Update: I had a couple of more such issues, where the album and/or the artist were imported as "unknown". When I went into the ID3 tags, I saw, that ALL OF THEM had a "0" written into their comments. And ALL OF THOSE albums were either imported through through, or bought from iTunes. Apple Hurray. :-/

  • How to import Spacial Data with mapviewer into Database?

I have deployed mapviewer10133wls with oc4j and able to see mapviewer home page but don't know how to get started with mapviewer like what configuration it needed and how to import sapcial data into Database with mapviewer. please help with reply.
    Thanks,
    Suchetana.

If its the Oracle Spatial option you're after, its not included in XE http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25329_01/doc/license.102/b25456/toc.htm#BABJIJCJ
For GIS data, I'll be no help at all someone else here may have experience with it. If its something that can fit into RDBMS tables there is probably a way to do it without Spatial, but that's just a guess :(
