Importing artwork into IPOD

I'm running the newest itunes.7.0.2?? I recenty purchased the 80 gb ipod. Anyway, is there a way to import album artwork that's already in your ipod. I was doing this the other night and when I disconnect my ipod all artwork that I dragged into my ipod wasn't displaying while I played my music tracks. I already know that doing this in itunes library should be easier, but is there a way to post album artwork within the ipod?

You must add artwork to the songs in iTunes first, not directly to the songs on the iPod (through iTunes).
If you add artwork directly to the iPod, the artwork is not displayed when playing songs.

  • Unable to Import Artwork into iTunes 9

Greetings from Cape Town. I am unable to use Coverflow, because I am unable to import Artwork. i Tunes gives error message when I try to get Artwork. Please help

Since neither iTunes nor Windows Media Player can import a CD, that would, as I said, suggest that it's a problem with the CD driver or the drive itself. The latter is less likely since your husband says that the drive can play a CD, just not import, but it's not impossible. I'd suggest you start by checking Dell's support site and see if they have any information on the problem or have any drivers for the CD drive that are more current and if so try those. One other thing you could try is to create a new user account in Windows, log in with that account, and try importing a CD. If it still fails. then it would definitely suggest a system-wide problem, either with hardware drivers or with Windows.
The last thing I can think of to suggest is to look for any sort of other audio burning software such as Nero. If there is any such, you can try uninstalling it and see if that makes any difference.
If none of that helps, you may want to talk to Dell technical support and see if they have any additional suggestions.
    Good luck.

  • Importing iCal into iPod

I have been having a lot of difficult time importing iCal on my iMac into my iPod Touch. Can someone help me in some way?
    Thanks so much.

What's the problem specifically? The options for syncing calendars are under the "info" tab if you're viewing your ipod in itunes.

What video codecs are you trying to import? The absolute best thing is to use QuickTime and export the video for your iPod. If you use QT and use the File drop down menu and then click on export it will give you that option.
Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
Hence the need for 3rd party software as per Niel's recommendation.

    Plug in your iPod.
In: edit->preferences->ipod, make sure that 'Enable Disk Use' is checked.
You can't put games on your iPod, at least not games that will run on your iPod.

  • Importing artwork into iPhoto (6)?

I understand RGB files are required, but what formats are acceptable besides JPEG? How about PNG or TIFF? I have digital artwork to import and I've had success with with JPEGs, but that format is very limited. I've made slideshows and uploaded them and burned CDs as portfolios (all JPEGs). I want to do a printed book portfolio next. Any advice on DPI or other formats?

    Steve
iPhoto will import any format that Quicktime will open.
So, PNG, tiff etc., are all perfectly fine.
I want to do a printed book portfolio next.
Is that an Apple Book? Or some other service?

  • Importing music into ipod

    Hello out there.
Got me an ipod nano, but I'm unable to import the music from a cd,through the computer, onto the ipod. When I hit the import button, it says importing, then plays the song again through the computer, but then nothing shows up on the ipod. Indeed, no song has then been downloaded. My daughter has her own ipod and is able to to this on the same computer.
    Anyone have any suggetions.
    thanks.

  • Unable to import movies into ipod

I have a 30 gig ipod Video. I have had several movies on my ipod which worked just fine. About four weeks ago I attempted to add a movie (in the proper format), and it would not copy into the device. I recently re-synched the ipod and all music came back but none of the movies. I also cannot add movies. I choose to add files manually as opposed to auto synch. Thanks for any advice.
    Steve G.

Are they rental movies? I'm told the rentals only work on the newest iPods such as iPod "classic" and the iPod touch.
If the iPod is not working properly, try doing a Restore in iTunes to get it back to original settings.

  • Importing Music into iPod Classic

My father died in November.  I have his iPod.  How can I transfer his music library to

  • ITUNES 7 BUG NO ARTWORK IN IPOD

NO ARTWORK TRANSFERED TO UPDATED 5TH GEN IPOD = I updated to iTunes 7 twice (first time it erased my purchased item authorization). For second install I successfully updated the iPod firmware. PROBLEM now is it will not transfer the song artwork.
TRIED THESE (and I repair computers by the way)-
    Resetting iPod device...twice...no luck.
Unchecking the option to install artwork into iPod, letting it delete artwork...then rechecking it to reboot this feature...no luck.
DO NOT ASK ME TO RESTORE FIRMWARE, there is nothing wrong with the iTunes 7 updated firmware.
NOW I HAVE AN IPOD 30GB 5TH GEN PLAYER WITH NO ARTWORK TO DISPLAY. NO, APPLE PRODUCTS ARE NOT FLAWLESS AS THEY CLAIM IT TO BE.

Yup. It's a glitch for sure. But it doesn't have any ryme or reason. About 70% of all my album art will not display on my Ipod. But all the album artwork is there. When I plug my Ipod into Itunes and play songs, all the album art that I installed shows up in the picture box. But when i unplug the Ipod, no album art is displayed.
All music I have imported recently with album art shows up on my Ipod. But not all the album art that is already there.
So what I am doing is copying all my music from my Ipod onto my computer,
from there I am putting it onto Itunes,
allow Itunes to search for artwork that I did not do already (over 200 albums)
Then delete the music from my Ipod,
and finally reimport my Itunes Library back to my Ipod.
I have over 30 GB used so far (I have the 60 GB Ipod) so I do not keep all my music in my Itunes library. If I did, all I would have to do is re-sync the Ipod to my Itunes.

Alquanto strano! Qualcuno sa spiegarmi il perchè?
    ==================Translate with google translator=========================
Ever since I updated itunes to the latest version I do not copy over the songs on your iPod. But not all but a few in particular. In addition, I noticed that if a song by itself is not added when you put in queue along with other input that adds, at the end is inserted. Quite strange! Can someone explain why?

    More information:
    example:
I have 2 songs (x,y) if i try to import songx into ipod it done.
    so SongX ------> Ipod success
if i try with songY it fail.
    so SongY ----X Ipod fail.
If i try to import both songs and the first song is the song that have success the second have the same result.
    so Queue import:
    SongX,songY,
    SongX ----> Ipod Success
    SongY ----> Ipod success
else if i try to import a queue of song where the first is songY none have success.
    SongY ---X Ipod fail
    SongX ---X Ipod fail

  • When importing artwork?

when importing artwork into the get info section of an album why on earth does it take so long for itunes to asign that artwork to the individual songs in that album?
in some cases it takes as long to do that as import the album in the first place.

When artwork is "manually" added. It's:
    1. "embedded" into the track.
    With artwork
    vs without
    2. The ID3 tag is updated with the artwork as "added".
With large files (20mb or more) #2 can take a while longer. If you have an entire 20 track CD of ALAC files, it's going to be a bit to manually add.
This is probably the ONLY place where downloading artwork from the iTunes sture would be advantageous. Downloading artwork doesn't "embed" it. It only adds a "call" to the artwork in yout iTunes Artwork folder. Unfortunately, that process also has to write the ID3 tag for the file though, so the time saving is minimal.

I don't use iTunes's "fetch artwork", so I'm not 100% sure, but unless you are signed in to your iTunes account, artwork is not automatic. Even then, iTunes doesn't always find it.
You can copy-and-paste artwork from the inernet, either Amazon or Google. I use 300x300 pixel images.
For the future, if you have iTunes questions, you might be better off posting them in the iTunes for Mac forum, this is iTunes for Windows. In this situation, it doesn't make any difference, but next time maybe it will.

  • Importing images from ipod into iPhoto

I installed the iPhoto 9.2 update as part of the OSX10.7.2 and am now when I try import my pictures that are stored on my iPod Touch only my Mac shows up. The iPod used to show so I could import the images stored on it, but now that option doesn't exist, it's just the Mac.
Am I doing something wrong here? Has the process changed? Do I have to activate Photostream just to import the pics locally?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem importing pics into iphoto 9.2 from my iphone.  Photostream isn't working in the country I'm in (China) but when I connect the phone manually, it doesn't show up in iphoto...
Also tried the image capture program (which maybe you could try molotovmouse...) but that also doesn't recognise the iphone...and yes it is unlocked...
apple can't have removed the capability to import photos manually with a cable...can they?? especially as photo stream has not worked for me at all, and it is extremely limited anyway...

  • Import music from iPod Classic into iTunes

I have an iPod Classic 120 GB that is still in perfect condition. I got it 5 years ago. I had imported several CD's into iTunes on my family computer and then imported them on to my iPod. I also had purchased some music from the iTunes store, but I had a lot more music that I had imported from CD's. An incident happened where a lot of my music got deleted from my iTunes account. I had over 5000 songs on my iPod from all the CD's, audio books, and purchased music I had imported into iTunes and then on to my iPod. When I plugged my iPod into my computer, iTunes recognized that there was music on my iPod that wasn't in my iTunes library. It asked if I would like to import the music that was on my iPod into my iTunes library. I said yes. Of the 5000+ songs on my iPod, only about 300 were imported back into iTunes, and then my iPod was synced. I lost the rest of my music. After this incident, I took several hours to re-import the CD's back into my iTunes library. Not too long after this, my computer crashed. Everything was wiped from my computer. We started by re-installing the drivers, Google Chrome, and I just re-downloaded iTunes. All the music that was in my iCloud has been backed up and added to my new library. This is only about 31 songs. I'm afraid to plug in my iPod again because it still has all the music on it that took so long to re-import. But now I can't add another CD on to my iPod without the fear of losing everything again. Does anyone know how I can make sure that ALL the music will be re-imported into my iTunes library again when I plug in my iPod? I don't want to go through this ordeal again if I don't have to.
