Importing audio not working

I am trying to import a song from itunes into a project but cant, for the life of me, get it to work. It seems like there is no option to do it. Am I half r3tarded or can someone help?

Depends on the compression format and whether or not you actually want the audio. Multiplexed compression formats like MPEG-1 which contains blocks of video data interspersed with blocks of audio data to provide spatial synchronization are "playback only" supported by the QT "engine" which is designed for the parallel processing of separate audio and video tracks which are synchronized temporally. If you wish to retain your audio, you must use an MPEG-based, third-party converter like MPEG Streamclip here. If you files are multiplexed MPEG-2 file types (MPEG, VOB, etc.) then you would additionally need the QT MpeG-2 Playback component ($20) to be installed to use converters like MPEG Streamclip or MPEG2 Works.

Thanks for your reply. I just want to confirm Are you reffering to Breeze 5 presenter? or the breeze server. I am looking for the breeze 5 presenter where we create some coursewares. if possible could you also please tell us whether any patch release available from adobe to support Breeze 5 presenter on windows 7 operating system. We are getting this problem only in the window 7 machince XP works fine.

Does this happen with all cd's or one in particular?

Try a cleaning disc. You can get them at places like Radio Shack.
If nothing helps your optical drive has probably failed. You can replace it or purchase an inexpensive external drive. Don't buy the Apple SuperDrive as it won't work with macs that have a built in drive.

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. Unless you've tried ALL of these, you're not done troubleshooting.

reset
again.
Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
-Press the Setup knob
-Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
-Press the Select knob
-Press the Value knob
-Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable
back
in
-Power the interface back on
i have the original 828 not mark 2, so no reset i know of, just power on off.
After the Mac updates... reboot and plugin the 828,
see if that doesn't get you going.

Laptop left Speaker audio not working

I have dv-5 1102 tu model laptop, in that left speaker audio not working. But, in headphones & Speakers have no problem in both left & right audio.

I understand your left speaker is not working on your dv5 notebook.
If the headphones are working it would tell us the sound card is fine. The same properties are applied to the speakers and the headphones in your audio control settings.
You could try a system restore to before the issue started to make sure it's not something in the operating system. To perform a system restore see the following guide: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) or Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7).

Without knowing all of the specifics in your situation, you may want to try these options:
- If you have a DTA, and your remote control has a LANG button on it, press it.
- If you have an HD or SD full cable box:

HDMI Audio not working on Q190 (along with all higher level Audio Formats)

Help, I have been given the run around via support, I cannot get the HDMI audio to work with my Pioneer Surround Sound, only the Intel display audio shows in control panel (Win 8 X64) and the RealteK S/P Dif port and it is not capable of supporting 7.1 sound or bitstreaming or DTS, Dolby HD, Etc. Tec support appears not capable of fixing the issue and wanted to send me to software support and pay. I have only had the machine for 4 days and it has never supported higher level sound.
Every other device I have (had or currently) connected to the receiver works just fine. I have to figure this out or return the machine, the audio is the most important aspect for me. Besides when you advertise 7.1 support the machine you sell should be able to do it.

I have had this Q190 with the Celeron CPU since last week and I am using XBMC Frodo and the HDMI is connected to my AVR Onkyo TX-NR809 and from the Onkyo to the TV. And the sound is 7.1 with PLIIZ. It works fine. I think it may be some driver problem because Realtek Audio which is in the Q190 works fine with the Win8 preinstalled. Realtek is kind of bad with driver because I lost my wifi after upgrading to Win 8.1. After a few days with no wifi, I found out that the driver was bad, yes it was a Realtek wifi driver but posted by Lenovo for W 8.1.
I have another friend who also just bought the Q190 and he reported no audio problem so I think it is just a matter of trouble shooting the drive and configuration. I do love the form factor of the Q190.

Help needed - Captivate 7 Audio not working in Safari/Chrome in html5

I think I am going slightly mad. For the life of me I can not get the audio to work in either Chrome or Safari (both versions are up to date) on an ipad and android tablet.
I have created a 1 slide project which just consists of a blank slide plus an audio mp3 file I have imported to the slide. I have turned off all the button click sounds and not scaled the html.
I then publish to html5, uplaod it to my LMS and try and view it. Works fine in IE on a desktop. But when I try and view it in Chrome and Safari there's no audio. In Chrome it seems to default to mute, so I unmute it but still nothing, In Safari the mute button is not even there, even through it is enabled in the skin.
Anyone have any ideas as it's driving me mad? Unfortunate thing is I downloaded Articulate storyline and after 10 mins I had uploaded a html 5 zip file and it working great on the ipad, with audio.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with audio in Captivate's HTML5 output.
What LMS are you using? There are certain LMS that are known to have problem serving HTML5 content. Also, the content server inside the LMS can choose to send different responses based on the client being a desktop device or a mobile device.
What is the IOS version in the iPad? IOS6 is preferrable.
Can you please try the following?
1. Instead of hosting the output in an LMS, try hosting the content in a local web server running on your machine. Mongoose is a quick and free option to try out (https://mongoose.googlecode.com/files/mongoose-tiny-4.1.exe) and then try accessing the same from iPad
2. If that works, then we can start suspecting the LMS that you are using. If it still does not work, you can connect the iPad to a Mac machine's USB port. Launch Safari on the Mac machine. Make sure that the option to "Show Developer Menu" is turned on in Safari's preferences. From the develop menu, select the menu specific to the iPad device and webpage. You may have to open and close the develop menu in case your iPad is not listed in the menu. Once you select the iPad+page menu, a web-inspector window is opened. Open the console messages if not already open. Refresh the webpage in the iPad. Look at the console output messages in the web-inspector. Any errors or warnings encountered will be printed there. For example, network error messages might hint that the http request for the mp3 file was rejected by the server for some reason.
3. If there are no messages in the console, audio does not play when published output is hosted in local webserver, then please share the published output. We can investigate why it does not work.

Convert Sample Rate on Import- does not work

Setting: *"Automatically convert sample rate of imported audio"*
You'll want to set this if you have audio on your computer
that wasn't sampled at 44k. It prevents your imported audio from
sounding like Mickey Mouse drinking a gallon of espresso and inhaling helium.
HOWEVER...It does NOT work when you drag audio into the project from
Logic's internal File Browser.
Dragging audio into the project from Logic's Browser,
or browsing to the file in Logic's Browser and choosing to
"Add selected Files to Audio Bin",
will NOT convert to the audio's sample rate.
Sample rate of your audio is only converted if you do: "Import audio file",
then browse to the file(again) in a popup browser dialog, and then choose import.
If the audio is already in your Audio Bin, choosing "Convert File"
will bring up another Finder Dialog asking you where you want the
converted audio to be placed.
Now you'll have to Browse (yet again) to the song's folder, because that's where
you'll probably want it anyway, and choose to put
your converted audio into the song's folder.
Please realize: If a composer or producer wants his/her audio to sound like
Mickey Mouse on Helium and Espresso, he will do it after the fact, on purpose, using a plugin.
Is it too much to ask, to have this Setting do what it says it does, with ALL audio brought into the song?
No matter how I bring audio material into a Project, the sample rate should always conform
to the Project's sample rate.

I've been using Captivate since version 1. And to be honest, I'm not sure I've ever seen the option work. If it does work, I'd also like to know under what conditions it works. Perhaps it only works with certain applications. I'm not sure. Largely I've ignored the option exists because I've never recorded anything where I wanted tooltips to be an option. I've never wanted to simulate to that detail.
You should probably consider filing a bug report.

Digital Audio not working on Satellite A505 S6012

My digital audio stopped working suddenly. I use HDMI to send the video out of my laptop to my projector. I had been successfully using, for over a year, a digital audio cable in the headphone (SP/DIF) jack to output the sound to my home receiver. The default audio set in the control panel is Realtek Digital Audio.
If I set the output to speakers and plug headphones in the jack, I get sound. If I set the output to Realtek Digital Audio and plug the digital audio cable in, I get no sound. I've tried new cables, changing the input to a different conection on my receiver, reinstalling the Realtek driver, and, as a last resort, completely recovering my laptop to the factory setting. Digital Audio still does not work.
Any suggestions? This is the main way we watch movies in my home.

This happened to me today on the iPad; I put in the password 4 or 5 times. I began to think my account had been hacked. I tried again on my iPhone and it worked first time. Then I tried again on the iPad and same thing—worked first time. Maybe just a temporary glitch in the server?
