Importing Audition Sessions

I have number of Adobe Audition CS5 sessions I need to import into Logic Pro 9 and Nuendo. What's the best way to do it, without sacrificing any quality? Can I include the effects and EQ in the import?

You will need to decide which is the best Export format from Audition.

Probably OMF, read up on it above.. effects are not included as each program has it's one set of effects, cross referencing would be horrendus, EQ is not included either, just basic placement of files.
An OMF file can contain all of the audio files OR, it can reference their location.
The're also the Final Cut Interchange (XML) format, if it's a recent Nuendo can probably seal with those.

Hi guys,
I'd like to import some PT TDM session into logic.
1) When opening TDM session with PT LE, what kind of problems should I be aware of? I know, there is the track number limitation.
2) Are there any other problems I should be aware of? Workarounds?
3) How complicated is it to import a session with more than 32 tracks into PT LE and whats the best way to export the complete session to logic if needed?

Any TDM plug-ins will not open inside LE. If you can, switch them out for RTAS plugins, and save the settings also.

You should Render (altcommandkeyboard #3) al the audio files, and have them rendered startign at the same point, for easier lining up in Logic later on.

You can import the whole session, and after you are done rendering tracks 1-32, along with plugins, etc... then turn off the voices for tracks 1-32, and turn on the voices for tracks 33 and up.
If you are lucky and can have some of the plug-ins as Audio Units as well, then less work for you. this is why I have moves more and more towards third party plugins like Waves, which have TDM, RTAS and Audio Units. this way all I have to save on those if the settings, and notes on each song as far as what plugin goes where, but I no longer have to render the audio with the plugin effect included.

Does anybody know how, or if, you can import ProTools sessions into Soundbooth?

Have recorded live performance using ProTools and Digi002. About 20 tracks of live audio.
Taking 4 nights of performances, 1 show recorded multiple times. Editing 4 performances of 1 show and creating 1 performance for DVD.
Edited video for performance in Premiere and will author DVD's in Encore.
Want to see if it is possible to import ProTools sessions into SoundBooth and transition out of ProTools to perform edit and mix/master of audio.
Before I do this, however, I need to know if I can use Digi002 as control surface in SoundBooth for mix.

I saved my iPhoto library before upgrading on my external hard drive BUT when I tried to reopen the iPhoto library, all my photos came up with blank.
I have tried to rebuild my database & also have downloaded 'iPhoto Library Manager' but still I cannot see my photos. It say's that they are there (11,000+ photos). I also understand that the reason the ! shows up is the connection between photo files are missing. Do you know how I can solve this?

Auditing session

Dear all,
Recently I have enabled session level auditing. I have changed the audit_trail parameter to true and as a sys user issued "audit session" command.
Now the aud$ table is getting populated but I just wanted to know the IP address of the client who are creating the session. All other requred information are gathering except IP address of the client. Is there any way veiw which I can see those information or do I have to change the audit option?

Urgent--Importing Audit Plan in Audit Management Module

Hi All,
Can anyone know what are the prerequisite for Audit management.
i am getting problem while importing an audit plan from XML. The import button ( import FROM XML) is disabled.
Is there anything I need to activate so that the import button will get enable.

Importing Audition 3.01 scp files into CS6

Hi! In the past I made some (scp) script files in Audition 3.01 to do (level/start/end) standarisation for audiofiles for radio broadcasts. Does anybody knows how to import these scp files into Audition CS6? Did some trial and error but unluckily I can't succeed ... Regards Hank.

Since CS6 is a complete cross platform rewrite of Audition .scp files won't work in CS5.5 or 6, I'm afraid. The engine to use them just doesn't exist. The nearest thing that is available is the ability to Record Favorites. But these are only fairly simple sequences of shortcut keys. There are, as yet, no means of placing the cursor in scripts.
Scripting has been requested as a feature to be returned to Audition at some future version together with much better help files for recording scripts or macros. I hope to see it return soon as I still have to revert to AA 3 or even 1.5 in order to do quick repetitive operations such as yours.

How to import old Session Manager data

I just upgraded to Firefox 35.0 and had to reinstall Session Manager. Now Session Manager doesn't show any of the old saved sessions. I've found the file containing these old sessions, but can't figure out how to import that file so that I can use it with the new versions of Firefox and Session Manager.

Powershell generic session and import this session in Exchange remote management session c#

The situation :
I am trying to make an application (c#-asp.net) to manipulate user's on an exchange server. The application will be on a different server than the exchange's one. So, to manipulate the data, I am using an "Exchange remote management session" created
with c#. Exchange remote management session give access to simple powershell command like "New-Mailbox" and "Set-User" - This is good for simple task, but in my case, I have to do more complexe operations that will need some specific command
that is not included in the default command. To access this command, I have to use some specific module like "ActiveDirectory". It is simple ? Only use "Import-Module" ! Not really, like I said, the "Exchange remote management session"
is very limited with the command, and "Import-Module" is not allowed...
So what we can do ?
I read a lot about my problem, and the most "simple" (That I understand the theory) solution is something like :
Start with a generic PS session, import the AD module, then connect to an Exchange management session and do an Import-PSSession and use implicit remoting for the
Exchange management stuff.
Given that I am pretty new to manipulate the Powershell with c#, I have no idea how to use this awesome solution in my code. So I am asking your help.

Generally we can use the cmdlet "import-module" to import the AD module on DC (Domain Controller), and we can also create a exchange remote powershell session with the cmdlet new-pssession, for more detailed information to create exchange remote session,

In addition, to invoke powershell cmdlet in C#, please also try to save all the cmdlets to a powershell script (.ps1 file), then we can add the powershell script to C# like:

Audition sessions and Pro Tools

I was just wondering if there is any way that Pro Tools 8 can open up Audition files. Is there a 3rd party software that allows for that, or is there a particular format that works between Audition 3 and Pro tools 8?

Audition Import / Export to/from other DAWs

Its been 3 months in the making and as I mentioned previously its not donationware but it is a fully functional demo only limitation is the number of tracks and 'clips'.

There are a number of points to address here:-

That is correct but even with applications with 'auto save' there is no substitute for regular backup of both your audio files, session file & audition settings.

SESBackup only targets adobe session files (either singularly or ALL of your session files). It is handy to easily back them (or it) up before recommencing work on a project or as soon as you are finished for the day. It does not backup your audio material.
MediaSweeper will isolate and seperate the unused files from your project and move them to another location so that you only backup the material that is actually in your session.
AuditionFX will help you backup your Adobe Audition settings

As I recall AA1.5 has the facility to 'append' other AA1.5 sessions.

As far as Audition is concerned AAtranslator was designed with AA3 in mind. AATranslator can append sessions either from Audition, Samplitude, Cubase, Nuendo, Reaper, etc but it would need to be converted to an AA3 xml file at present.
But as i mentioned before AA1.5 it (as I recall) has that 'append' function built in.
Remember "save early and save often".
BTW You can download and try all of those applications and they all come with documentation.

I don't believe you can in its native format. However, you can certainly add a stereo mix or individual audio tracks from an an Audition session into GB (just as you would add any *standard* audio file to GB).

Time Stretch the clip. Either by trial and error or, if you know the tempo of the inserted track, by calculation.

Problems importing Session Ejb in Creator

I've tries to import a Session Ejb in a web app, usng Creator2.
I have created the MyEjb.jar containing the ejb's classes, and the deployment descriptors. The ejb do not use any data source.
Then, I've imported the ejb using the provided procedure:
Enterprise Java Beans -> Add set of Session EJBs
I've imported the MyEbj.jar file: I see the Ejb in the palette, and I can drag&drop the method I need.

Audition CS 6 - multitrack session tracks offline

Hi everyone.
This is a true nightmare. Yesterday I was recording a live concert in Audition CS 6 using a multitrack session. When I checked the footage and sound files at home I couldn't believe what I saw. Half of the session was offline!! Nowhere to find. What shall I do about it?
I saved the session just like any other one thinking that this would be enough to save the .wav files on my hard drive.
Here's the background to it:
I had about 16 tracks coming from a Behringer X32.
The band was playing two sets, so I did one short break before recording the second part of the concert. All in one Audition session.
So as the gig was over I had all input channels split into two long tracks. Everything fine. Now due to lack of time I couldn't export every single track as backup.
So I just saved the session, shut down my computer and thought it would be alright.
Is there a way to get the files of the first part of the concert back? How can this be, if it's in one and the same multitrack session?
I didn't shut down Audition during the break.
I read some threads about this very issue. But noone had a solution.
Please, I need help on this one. It's urgent!!

I located the directory of the lost files. (C:\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\528780dd.......)
But there are no files in there anymore. No temp folders.
They do only exist if I'm running Audition. Atfer closing it they are gone.
I also tried several recovery tools, but this didn't work out either.
What can I do? It is driving me insane. I can't afford a professional to recover the files.
There must be another way!
