Importing & Burning CDs while trying to listen to iTunes at the same time

I used to be always listen to any song in my iTunes library while I was either importing or burning a CD, and it sounded normal. But now, if I try to listen to a song while I am importing or burning a CD the sound gets really fuzzy, the songs slows down, and starts skipping. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? What did I do to make this start happening? And more importantly...does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!

Exact same problem here - iTunes has been maxing out the CPU since version 7.3 and this appears to be causing the distortion.
I've seen a few similar posts on these boards but no one has posted a fix.

You can't do it out of iDVD.
If you create a disk image file (.img) out of iDVD you MIGHT be able to do so using Roxio's Toast and the .img file.

Since the shuffle (except for the 1st gen shuffle) uses the same "port" (the headphones jack) for sound output and charging, there is no way to do both concurrently.
NOTE: You can charge and play at the same time on the old white 1st gen shuffle that looks like a USB flash drive.

And what exactly is your requirement?
Running multiple INSERTs in a single transaction?
To do that, just open a connection with autocommit off,
prepare and execute all your INSERT-Statements
(you'll want to use BIND variables and not STRING concatenation for that. Ever heard of SQL injection?),
and finally you commit or rollback your transaction.

Yet you have installed both on your pc, Awesome, Now what specs is the machine at.........Do you have atleast 12gb of paging space, is this a multple db instance install
or is it an MCOD install.

MacBook Pro Freezes while using more than two applications at the same time

Over the last two weeks my MBP has been freezing every time i use two or more applications at the same time. For e.g. my whole system freezes from time to time when i use itunes and safari at the same time. This problem never existed before and has just started recently and is really annoying. What can i do to fix it?

Rather than re-installing Safari have you tried simply "Resetting" it (head to "Reset safari" under the "Safari" menu). It is possible that something in your user folder that supports Safari is really the cause of the problem. Re-installing Safari won't deal with this, but re-setting it can.
In fact the first thing you should try is simply choosing "Empty cache..". If your cache files are corrupted then this in itself could explain the behaviour.
If you choose to do the Reset first try it with just "Empty cache" and "remove all website icons" selected. This will reduce the amount that you will "lose" in the process. (Cookies, history, etc). Add in additional options if the first attempt doesn't fix it.

You will probably have to contact Apple for repair but before you do try this:
Turn your iPad upside down on your lap and give it a hard smack on the back.

Everytime I'm trying to listen to my music on the iPhone 4s these are the list of problems I'm getting
1. It will show the play symbol in the top right but the time on the track is not moving and nothing is playing.
2. I will be listening to one song and it will show I'm listing to a different song.
3. At some songs it won't let me go back to the song before.
4. Some song will not play anymore it will only play the song after but show a different picture.
Is anyone else having any or all the above problems.?

Delete the apps that have a different Apple ID and re-download/re-purchase them using yours.
Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them.
To updatethose apps, the same Apple ID & password must be used.

After resetting your questions you've tried logging out (tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and back into your account on your iPad to see if they then tie up ?
If they don't, and resetting them yourself doesn't make any difference, then you could try contacting Support and see if they can help with what's going on.

Importing a complete library into iTunes at the same time.

I recently purchased my first Mac and have copied all of my files from my laptop to the iMac, this includes my iTunes library. My question is how do I then import the songs into iTunes and not have to do it one song at a time...as I have hundreds of songs I really don't wont to do one at a time, but this seems to be the only way I have figured out how to do it.

Just use the Add to Library command and select the folder in which you have your tracks.

Thanks for the suggestion... but I think my first question would be why these parameters would need re-setting? This is a new machine... It has never been shut down hard. It is used at most 10 hours per week... mostly using Office 2004 for MAC. I need to figure this out as I will soon need it as a Cs2/CS3 - Aperture workhorse.
I too agree that it is best not to use a sledge when a scalpel is needed... but as a novice to the MAC world I may have been misled by Apple support. I seems to have fixed the symptoms ( some) but appears NOT to have addressed the cause... which is what I am after.

i dont think its set up in disk mode and not totaly shure how to do it. and i did install itunes on the new computer but have connected the ipod yet
