Importing BW DSO Into HANA - Authorization Issue

Hi All,
I was trying to importing BW DSO into HANA . The Analytic view is showing error  during activation time, showing insufficient privilege.
While opening the view, one default schema ABC(<missing>) is showing, whereas  ABC schema  is not available under schema list.
How to activate the analytic view ?
I didn't find the BW schema in HANA studio, I did->  Select * from M_CS_TABLE where table_name like '/bic/A%00' etc - showing BLANK row.
I am having authorization SYS_BIC schema but problem only BW related object under this schema while selecting some BW object from this schema.
Pls suggest.
Thanks & Regards
Kamruz

Thanks for your reply.
For this time being, I created a Calculation view based on that Analytic View after switch off some fields in view.
The thing is, If I switch off few fields, Calculation view is working fine.
How can I enable rest of the fields.
Amalytic view Error Message :
Table /BI0/T** could not be found or user has insufficient privileges
Table /BIC/AZZB_O0100 could not be found or user has insufficient privileges

  • Benefit of importing BW models into HANA.

    Hi All ,
What is the benefit of importing BW models into HANA and vice versa in BW on HANA ?

    Hi Supriya,
i think you are mentioning about the migration from BW to BW on HANA here.
For understanding the benefits , first you need to understand what is HANA. In simple terms HANA is in memory  Data base (it is much more than that ). So being all your data kept in the main memory the speed of the processing will be 300 times better than using a conventional DB. (You can find blogson the perfomance of hana test cases of HANA)
So in BW on HANA case we will be migrating the underlying DB used in SAP BW (eg : oracle, SQL, or any conventional DB ) into HANA. As i told it is in-memory you will have very high performace gain in your report execution time.In BW on HANA the cubes and DSO will be represented as hana optimised cube / dso .
Also you can import BW models to HANA, means you can import a BW cube as Native HANA analytic view . Using native HANA modeling will have further performance gains while running reports

  • Importing COPA data into HANA Studio

    Hello-
I am currently trying to import my COPA data into my HANA Studio.
I have extracted the files and I am trying to follow the steps listed here:
    https://wiki.wdf.sap.corp/wiki/display/bobjdemo/HowtoimportCOPAdata
Seems easy enough, but I can't decipher the first step: u201C1. Copy copa_export.tar.bz2 file from
idesapps\publicshare\HANA  to HANA server /tmp using tools like WinSCPu201D
I downloaded, but could not gain access to WinSCP. What are other tools "like" WinSCP?
Is there an alternate way to import this data without the first step?
    Thank you so much.
    Truly appreciative,
    John

    Hi John,
That wiki link doesn't work as it is an internal SAP site.
In any case, WinSCP is a FTP/SFTP file transfer tool. You just need to get that file over to the HANA server somehow. It doesn't really matter what tool you use, as long as it works!

    Ethan

  • Unable to Import huge data into Hana studio

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to load a huge excel file, with  >139175 records .i get error  as in the screenshot. It is self explanatory that I cannot load that big data.
Now my question is there a way to load data in two different files and  then combine them?Or is there any other better way?
    Please guide
Any insight provided is highly appreciated

Hmm... looks like google loves me more than it loves you.
One of the first hits - I am sure that other search engines could bring that up too - was this:
How to fix GC overhead limit exceeded in Eclipse
Now, this is my thinking here:
It seems to be a general Eclipse error message, not necessarily related to SAP HANA plugins
the link says "increase available memory for Eclipse
the notion of "more data leads to the error" seems to relate to "more memory is required"
So, why don't you just go and provide Eclipse some more memory via the .ini file and see what happens?
Also, make sure to actually be able to provide more memory. 3 GB working memory (32 Bit version) might not be sufficient and even more important it's so 2003

  • Authorization Issue while Data Preview from HANA View

    Hi Experts,
We are using BW on HANA. We have created DSOs (info provider) in BW and generated HANA views from there. We have also created analysis authorizations in BW for authorization relevant characteristics. In HANA, we are able to go to the generated analytic view and preview the data from it successfully.
Now I have created a test user and assigned a custom role with below authorizations to this user in HANA:
    - bw2hana/../REPORTING role (this role is automatically created by activation of DSO in BW).
    - Roles MODELING, MONITORING, CONTENT_ADMIN, USER.
    - Multiple system privileges although not needed, like REPO.EXPORT, REPO.IMPORT, etc.
    - Analytic Privilege  _SYS_BI_CP_ALL
    - Package Privilege: REPO.READ for all required packages (tried with ROOT package also).
In BW system also, the test user has analysis authorizations providing access to the relevant info objects.
But when I am trying to preview data for HANA view, I am getting attached error (also listed below):
"Cannot get the data provider outline
SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: Column store error: Search table error: [2950] user is not authorized"
I tried to trace the situation is HANA and got below details in 2 trace files:

Do you know what this "Error during converting SqlAPs to Query entries" actually means"? How can we resolve this issue? The authorization is working properly for our user ids. But we need to provide restricted access for business users so trying to create test user and custom role.
    Thanks
    Nitesh Gupta

    Hi Pinaki and Prabhith,
Yes, my issue was resolved. Sorry, missed to updated here.
I was just a beginer for BW on HANA Security at that time and didn't know many small things. The solution was pretty simple.
Whenever you assign analysis authorizations to a user in BW, you also need to generate corresponding HANA authorization. This is done through tcode RS2HANA_CHECK tcode. This tcode converts  BW analysis authorizations into HANA analysis authorizations and assign to the HANA user. You can see generated HANA authorization table RS2HANA_AUTH_STR in both BW and HANA.
Once the HANA authorizations are successfully generated for a user, he should be able to see data from Views.
Let me know if this solves issues. Then I will close this thread.
    Thanks

    3. Are there any data services provided to do this?
This for a project use case i also have an requirement to process bulk XML files, suggest me to accomplish this task

    Hi Patrick,
I am addressing the similar issue. "Getting data from huge XMLs into Hana."
Using Odata services can we handle huge data (i.e create schema/load into Hana) On-the-fly ?
    In my scenario,
I get a folder of different complex XML files which are to be loaded into Hana database.
Then I gotta transform & cleanse the data.
Can I use oData services to transform and cleanse the data ?
If so, how can I create oData services dynamically ?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • Importing Photoshop files into premiere pro CS6 issues

    Hi
I recently re-installed Premiere Pro CS6 on my work computer (i changed from a HDD to an SSD). Ever since I did this I am having an issue importing .PSD files into Premiere.
I try and import a photoshop file. The importer window comes up. The progress bar starts to move, then pauses and the Importer says 'Not Responding'. After a few seconds it comes back and throws up the following error:
Error message - 'The importer reported a generic error'
All projects i previously worked on that had .PSD files in them are now reporting these files as 'Media Offline' meaning I have to replace them with .PNG files which is really annoying.
Any ideas what might be happening? The files I am trying to import are RGB .PSD's. They worked previously without any issues.
    I have Premiere Pro Version 6.0.5 (001 (MC: 264587))
running on a Windows 7 machine with Service Pack 1, 64 bit OS, 16GB Ram and Intel Core i7-2600
Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help me with this!

Yes, MXF should play perfectly in PP CS6, but if you can't work this out at this point, you may wrap your MXF video to something intermediate. as a matter of face, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 seems to work fine if you import your MXF clips directly from a camera or camcorder, but if have already copied MXF recordings your HDD or you downloaded them from somewhere else, the import error may occur.
So i suggest you convert the MXF footage to something mezzanine we would recommend DNxHD.mov (if you are on a PC) or Apple ProRes .mov (if on a mac). those two intermediate codecs are good mezzanine codecs that handle recompression well and standup well in other areas of post-production (color grading, graphics, compositing, etc,). You can see what I wrote about the solution. "Why Premiere Pro CS6 can't import MXF files?" i hope that it is helpful to you.

  • Connection problem when importing SAP NW BW models into HANA developer ed

I have successfully installed "AS ABAP 7.4 SP5 incl. BW on SAP HANA SP7 [Developer Edition]" and connected with the SAP GUI and added the system into HANA Studio and Eclipse.

  • I'm having issues importing raw files into LR 2.6.

    Hi All.
So here's the issue. I have about 1300 images that I'd like to import into LR from my USB Exteral Hard Drive. In the past, I had no issues. but with this one, it seems that I'm limited. I tired to import all 1300 and nothing would happen when i hit import. So then I started to import half of that and it worked.. So I backed out and added in about 10 more.. worked fine, backed out and imported 10 more and it wouldn't work.
I have enough HD space, at least 30Gbs free. The folder size of the images is 11gbs. Is there a setting that limits the amount that I can upload?
    Thanks soo much!

Thanks Hal for getting back to me..
    Yes, that's what I did..
So I tried two things.. a different set of about 2k images.. raw files.. and it wouldn't work. So that ruled out a corrupt file in my current set.
I went back to the current batch where I was able to import file 1-1060 with no issues. I then chose files 1061-1300 and that worked fine. So that ruled out a corrupt file from 1-1300.
Is is possible to do Two separate import jobs so that i will be able to see all of them when I go to post process? I have never had to do two sep import jobs before so not sure if this is an option.
    Thank you very much

  • Importing data- using xml file into HANA Table

    Hi,
We are using (HDB STUDIO ) - revision 60.......
Is it possible to import data using XML file into HANA table (Master,Fact tables)?
(Without using any intermediate adapters for conversion of data.....)
    Can any one suggest us........
    Thank you.

    Hi user450616
I am a bit confused about what you are trying to achieve.
    Are you:
    1. importing a CSV file into APEX
    2. adding an extra column to the Oracle Table
    3. populating the extra column with the CSV filename?
Let us know if this is what you are trying to do.

  • Importing vcf files into Outlook issue

I have exported some PALM contacts as .vcf files and now I am trying to import them into Outlook. In PALM, I have the business number listed as Main so Outlook doesn't import the number into the business field.
How do I configure Outlook so that it recognizes this as the business number?
    Thanks.
    Post relates to: Palm IIIx

I suspect you will need to edit the files, because Outlook's import function does not let you map custom fields when you choose .vcf import. (If the following is too much of a pain, consider exporting in a tabular format such as comma-separated or tab-separated. You can open that file in Excel or a text editor to remove the records you do not want to import into Outlook.)
Can you open one of the .vcf files in Notepad or Wordpad and confirm that the "Main" number is on a line that starts with the following:
    TEL;PREF:
If so, then you can use a VBScript to change that to:
    TEL;WORK:
so that Outlook will interpret it as a Business number.
I have posted the script file at the following address:
    http://jeffersonscher.com/res/MainToBusiness_vbs.txt
The one-time setup is as follows: After inspecting the file to confirm that it doesn't do anything dangerous, you will need to save it to your hard drive with a .vbs extension. Once it is saved in a convenient location, right-click it and create a shortcut. Then move that shortcut into your Send To folder:
    c:\documents and settings\username\SendTo
Setup is done. You now can edit the Palm .vcf files by right-clicking, choosing Send To, then the name of your SendTo shortcut. The edited file will appear in the same folder as your .vcf file, with "_edited" added into the original name.
    Hope this helps.
