I am using mail adaptor / mail map to send email notificaiton, it works fine for single email id or multiple but not working for email distribution list which starts with "#". Is there any configuration required?

Distrubutor mail id is like simillar to normal mail id, but internally it contains the number of mail ids.
Ask your network team to create the distributed mail id (in this mail id how many mail ids you want you can put that mail ids).
and configure that distributed mail id like you configure in the normal mail id.

Send mail to distribution list using UTL_MAIL.SEND

Does UTL_MAIL.SEND support sending mail to a distribution list?. The doc says, the recipient mail-id should be separated by a comma. The distribution list has mail-id separated by a comma. I executed a test case sending a mail to a distribution list, I did not receive any error or exception. I did not receive the test mail as well!!.
Has anyone used the UTL_MAIL.SEND to send mails to a distribution list?.

It sends message to name provided.
It is up to MTA to deliver any message it gets.
Are you 100% certain that message got to MTA & was successfully processed by it?

How may I create Distribution lists for mail. I need to set up a series of groups with a number of mail addresses, I don't want to input every mail address every time I send a mail!

Groups of contacts are created in the Contacts application and then may be used in the Mail application by typing the group name instead of a recipient name.

You may need to re-post in the pre-Tiger mail forum.
But what I THINK you need to do is use your Address Book, and make a group. Add to the group (by selecting, dragging and dropping) the contacts you need in the distribution list. Now in Mail use the name of the group in the To: or Cc: or Bcc: field to send them all mail.

Problem to Achieve distribution list

Hi ALL,
I'm trying to use distribution list in mail step in workflow. i tried 2 ways.
   By using directly in mail step and using FM SO_DLI_READ_API1. Both are failure.
   Any one pls explain step by step how to achieve this.

create a background activity step before the mail step. in that activity step use the above FM and the following logic.
you will get the entries in lo_t_distlist. the member_nam field of lo_t_distlist will give you the users in the distribution list. loop at lo_t_distlist and fill the SWHACTOR variable as follows.
OBJECT-TYPE = 'US'
OBJECT-TYPE = member_nam.
now pass this SWHACTOR variable to the mail step as agent.

Creating a distribution list

How do I create a distribution list in mail ?
I have 50 or so email address (not in my address contact book) that I need to send emails to on a regular basis.
So far I have just copied and pasted them into my mail program but as the names change monthly there must be a better way.
I can see you can create a distrution list out of contacts in contacts app but how this does not seem to allow me to make a group just from email address I have.
any ideas please.

If I add it to the mail address using edit, it only adds the first email address

Need to send an attachment with the mail to the distribution list

Hi all,
How do I send an attachment with the e-mail to a distribution list?
I am using the FMs SO_DLI_EXPAND and SO_OBJECT_SEND to expand the distribution list and send mail to the distribution list respectively.I am getting the contents of the file in the email that is being sent. The file is being extracted from UNIX.
However, the contents of the file has to go as an attachment.

In the upgrade to Yosemite, the distribution list feature in mail appears to have been eliminated. Any suggestions?

Prior to upgrading to Yosemite, mail allowed you to select all from a contact group and paste the e-mail address of the group to an e-mail send field. This "distribution list" feature does not seem to work in this new system. Any suggestions?

I have created many Calendars in my Sharepoint site like Meeting Calendar, Downtime Calendar etc. I will be creating some events in these calendars every week. My requirement is to collect all the events available in the calendar for that week
and send a weekly mail with all this events to the distribution list
Is this requirement can be done using the Sharepoint designer workflow or does it require any code related activities to accomplish this? If so can you please provide me the Steps by step process to complete this and can you also share
the code in case if you have it

How to send mail as a distribution list

I have created a number of distribution lists under the groups tab just to the right of mailboxes in the recipients section of the exchange admin centre in microsoft exchange 2013.
i have set permission on these mailboxes for send as to be permitted but when trying to send mail from outlook 2013, outlook web app or from ios i am unable to get the distribution lists email address to appear in the from list.
could someone please explain how i can resolve this for each of these 3 platforms?

Great advice from Veerapandian.
Based on my knowledge, Distribution List is based on Outlook, Distribution Group is based on Exchange server. You can grand send as permission to DG.
Send as permission is a permission based on AD, please make sure the DG can be resolved from GAL.
Please run following command to whether set “Hide this group from address lists” attribution, if so please remove this setting.
Get-DistributionGroup | FL alias,*HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled*
