Importing Files - ACLs wrong on NAS

Hello,
i have my Music on an TheCus 5200Pro NAS. If i import new Music over the Menu "zu Mediathek hinzufügen" all ACLs on the NAS ok. As example:
[email protected]:/raid0/data/Music/Duran Duran/Rio# getfacl "01 Rio.Mp3"
# file: 01\040Rio.Mp3
# owner: Udo.H
# group: smbusers
user::rwx
user:Udo.H:rwx
group::---
group:smbmusik:r-x
mask::rwx
other::rwx
If i import music over the new "Music Import Folder", the ACLs on the NAS are wrong. As example:
[email protected]:/raid0/data/Music/Duran Duran/Rio# getfacl "01 Rio.Mp3"
# file: 01\040Rio.Mp3
# owner: Udo_H
# group: smbusers
user::rwx
user:Udo_H:rwx
group::---
mask::rwx
other::rwx
As you can see, the group:smbmusik:r-x is missing.
Anyone can confirm this "bug"?
Regards,
Udo_H

Although it says importing it does not. Continue playing your files on the card as before.

  • Imported files to wrong location

    I am using Lightroon 4 on a Macbook pro, OS Lion.
    I forgot to change the location of all my local wordpress images before importing them to a new folder, and they ended up being moved to my default dated folders i.e. Pictures/2012/2012-01-01.
    How can I either undo my last import, or easily locate all of those files I just imported?
    Thanks!
    Rob

    Long shot but try this.
    Go to Previous Import in Grid Mode
    Select all [CMD][A]
    Go to All Photographs (Previous import files should remain selected)
    Set the sort order in the Tool bar to Added Order  (Z to A)
    Your previous import should be the large block of selected items at the top.
    Scroll to the last selected item and the Previous to the Previous import should be the next file.
    Select it and hold down your shift key and down arrow until you reach the end of your Wordpress files
    The hard part is knowing how far to go to select the files from there.  Hopefully there is an obvious break that will clue you in.

  • Imported files into wrong folder, easy way to move them to another?

    Two things happened to me this weekend using Lr that caused files to go into the wrong folders.
    On one import I forgot to change the folder to a new one and it dropped all of my pics from the CF card into an existing folder. Oops.
    On another import I actually had images from what I would consider two seperate events. One was me goofing around taking pictures of the moon and the others were from St. Pattys day at the pub. So I've got moon pics in my St. Pattys 07 folder.
    So is there an easy way to correct this without deleting and reimporting? I tried the obvious drag and drops of selected files in the grid but it seemed adamant that this was a no-no.
    Sam

    Try from the center of an image and you should get a wornng dialogue about moving on the hard drive when you drop them on the folder you want. Hey do have to be all from the same folder for a given move.
    Try selecting some and doing the arrow trick by the filename in Metadata to go to the folder and then move all you want from one folder to another.
    Rather than in All Photos, as I previously mis-stated.

  • Importing files from a Synology Nas to Itunes on my Mac Mini

    I have managed to import about 50 CDs from my NAS to a MAc Mini I am using as a music server to my HiFi system. A folder appears on the Mac with the items loaded onto I tunes and files waiting to add. I simply clicked and dragged the folders to Automatically add to I tunes and they went into it OK, now they don't. The folders disappear or are added to a separate file, "not added". I have been struggling
    with this for days and can't find a solution. I presume the preferences on I tunes have been changed by mistake, but I can't find where,  going through the preference folders.
      Any ideas, Thanks David

    You can clean them up once they are on the device.
    If you want to permanently exchange your Apple Lossless files for MP3 (why!?! ) you could use my script ConvertFormat.

  • It is very difficult to import audio files from extern drives (NAS) into the new garageband

    it is very difficult to import audio files from extern drives (NAS) into the new garageband.

    Are you trying to open an audio file in GarageBand or a GarageBand project?
    To open an audio file drag it from your NAS to a real-instrument track in GarageBand.
    If you are trying to open a GarageBand project - can you open the same project, if you copy it to your system drive?
    Trying Google translate -

  • Imported Files going in the wrong folder

    Elements Organizer 10 started misplacing all the Imported Files in the folder above at some point.
    In Folder Location view (under Display) I right click folder B and chose Import to Elements Organizer. Once the Import is finished, all photos but one are under folder A instead... needless to say my catalog now looks very messy because photos show in folders with different names. In Finder they appear in the right place, and even the File Properties in Elements show the correct location. Just not the Folders.
    I have about 20k files imported in my catalogue, this started happening recently and affects only files imported in certain external drives or partitions.
    I tried the repairs, optimizations, reconnects etc. for the catalogue, looked for updates and restarted the software many times now.
    How can I fix this?

    Hi guys,
    Sorry about slow time to reply.
    I'll try to be a bit more specific.
    The problem seems to happen only with a new firewire drive, Lacie Rugged 1gb.
    I have Mac OS X v10.6.8, processor 2.26Ghz, intel core duo, 8Gb 1067 DDR3; Elements Organizer 10.0
    The problem happens regardless of how I import the files, ie in thumbnail or folder view, and my procedures have not changed since using previous drives (right click folder and chose Import to Elements Organizer). If I am in thumbnail view or folder batch view the files are there, however having to browse among Ks of files is not my preference, I like folder view better.
    I think the image below explains it better: the folder selected is called Group Tax team day (bottom left). The  photo at the top is actually from this folder, but the one at the bottom (and all the others then) are from a folder called HK Dez 2012, which is the last that was imported directly below. You can actually see that the path at the top of the image does not match the selected folder on the lower left. And btw, this means that the files at the top folder in the drive cannot be found in folder view, since they have no folder to move to.
    Appreciate any help on this!

  • LR 4.1 RC Does not import files

    I use a Lexar USB 3 card reader to import files created by my Canon 5d Mk-II. I click on Import on the lower left corner of LR, point to the drive which displays the files on the card. But when I click on Import LR simply sites there with the progress bar at the top not moving. I waited for quite a while several times and the files did not copy and import. Then I copied the files using Windows explorer to the folder where they are kept and tried to synchronize the folder but that option was not avaliable from the right-click on the folder name context menu. I have to shut down LR and restart before the Synchronize Folder appears again.
    Another, and possibly related anomaly is the number of files LR report that could be imported. The number is always wrong. For instance, there may be 25 files sync but it reports something like 172.

    A new catalog with nothing in it imported from the Lexar USB 3 compact flash reader. I am traveling abroad and do not have another card reader. However, after the successful import into a blank catalog I imported a few more which hung up as it did in the old catalog. I was able to delete all the imported images ending up with a blank catalog and reimport a couple of sessions in succession. In one of them I observed something but could not replicate: LR imported files that were not marked rather than the few I selected. The ones it seemed to have chosen were short video clips. Since I have not been able to replicate the problem, I am willing to explain that as my error although I was paying particular attention to exclude the video files. I guess that's why this is called "human error"!
    If the integrity of the original catalog I was using is compromised what is the solution? This is a rhetorical question since all the files will be transferred to my desktop computer anyway. I tested the sync folder option, which reported 151 new files. I instructed LR to sync thos files and LR went through all the files and ended up with a blank display of files to sync. I optimized the catalog and tried the same, it still shows 151 files to sync, which is obviously not correct.

  • Imported files do not show up in the project menu

    When I import files into a new folder I cannot locate them in the project menu. The files do not have a project path. They show up in the "last import" section though. What's wrong?

    You cannot import files into an Aperture Folder.  Folders hold containers (Folders, Projects, and Albums); they do not hold Images that are not in another container.  Projects and Albums hold Images.
    Right-click one of the Images shown in the "Last Import" Browser, and select "Show in Project" from the context menu.  This should make that Project the active one, and show you which one it is by selecting it on the Library tab of the Inspector.

  • Import files

    Hi,
    I'm new and I would like to know when I compile the java program, where does it look for the import files?? Is it setup in a path, classpath??
    I have a package and I trying to import it in my program but it cant find it.
    thanks,
    Will

    The import statement makes the services offered by the JDK available to your program. These services are actually methods which are defined in classes. Classes, in turn, are kept in groups known as packages. By importing java.awt.*, for instance, you let Java know that you intended to use methods defined in the classes of the awt package. All of Java packages are included in jar files (such as rt.jar, etc.) which are linked in your CLASSPATH setting.
    If your program could not find a package you've already had, maybe your CLASSPATH is not set up correctly, or you import a wrong package. I am not sure what package you are missing. Maybe you post some codes ?

  • Importing multiple files using the Import File menu.

    For some reason I am never able to add more the 5 mp3 files using the Import File menu. All of my files are located on the NAS device and if I select the Import Folder menu all the files in the folder will be imported. However, time after time I add more files to the same folder and then need to import just the new files to iTunes. For that I am using the Import File menu. If select more then 5 files, only 5 files will be imported. Some times I have 100 new files that I want to add, and moving 5 files a time is time consuming and painful. I try opening the folder, selecting all files and dropping them into iTunes, but that did not work. Is there a way to import more than 5 files at a time, or iTunes is not capable doing that?

    I am often surprised how many ways there are to add songs to iTunes. Selecting a number in the open file dialog must have a maximum string length for the file names. I bet that the path and file name are long on those songs and that is why you can only load 5 at a time from your NAS. What I have had luck with and is very easy is to select a group of songs and right click and "play" them. My iTunes is set to import and organize on play. The first song starts playing and they all load. I routinely do this with entire albums without problem.

  • Import files from usb impossible?

    I tried to import a .mov file from usb. by using the import file-command in FCPX. Impossible; the clip is empty with red warningsign. I must first via finder import into the map "film" ("movie") and from there import it (by using the importfile-command in FCPX) in the event and than it works.
    For audio almost the same; first import in iTunes and from there into FCPX using the FCP-importcomand. I think this is wrong.
    Any idea about the reason?

    Is it possible you unchecked Copy files to Final Cut Events folder-in your Import Preferences?
    Because if that's unchecked, then FCP X will go looking for your USB stick to play that file back. And if it's no longer attached to your computer, it will appear as offline- which is what that warning is.
    I have no trouble importing footage from USB into FCP X that I then eject- as long as it's copied over on Import. Remember- "Import" is just FCP X getting pointed to your media. If you don't check, Copy files, the media doesn't move from its original import location and when that location is no longer visible to FCP X- i.e. on a drive that gets ejected- it will appear offline which is probably what happened here.
    Though personally I wouldn't suggest ingesting directly from a USB stick but rather copying the contents from the stick to your hard drive first and then pointing it to FCP X- for improved performance.

  • 'Import file parsing exception' while importing BIAR file

    Hi All,
    We use Java WebServices SDK for integrating our product with Business Objects. For installing the reports we use the InstallEntSDKWrapper jar to copy the BIAR file containing the reports on to the BO server. Till now we were using BO XI R2 and everything works fine.
    But now we have decided to upgrade to BO 3.0 and the reports install no longer works. Here is the error that we get -
    [InstallEntSdkWrapper.main] Connecting to CMS rwc-1950-120:6400 as administrator
    [InstallEntSdkWrapper.CmsImportFile] Exception: Import file parsing exception
    curred : 'Type info incomplete'
    [InstallEntSdkWrapper.main] BIAR File could not be imported
    Any idea what might be going wrong here? We are trying to import the same BIAR file that were created with the earlier BO version to the 3.0 version server. Couple of questions that I have is -
    1. Do we need to repackage the BIAR with 3.0 before attempting to install it? Are there any issues with trying to install a BIAR which is of older BO version?
    2. Do we need to add/modify any library (jar) in the runtime to get rid of the exception?
    Thanks for all the help.
    Regards

  • I cannot import files on to FCPX.

    I have tried everything, trashing preferences and reinstalling app, but nothing seems to work. I deleted movie files to make space on the hard drive, since then I cannot get fcpx to load any files and work properly. What am I doing wrong?

    MartinKentishFilms wrote:
    I deleted quick time movie files. The app then would not load properly. I then binned the whole app, and re-installed it from the app store. FCPX would not load at all at that point. I trashed preferences using digital rebellion. No joy. I then wiped the hard drive (backing everything up this time) and re-installed OSX mountain lion (latest version) and then again reinstalled the app. FCPX now loads, but it will not load any projects in the viewer or import files from any of my sd cards. It is not a hardware problem I have checked, I dont care if I lose files from FCPX I just want to be able to use the program  again.
    Did you perform a clean install?

  • Imported files identified as "Imported Limewire Files"???

    My wife and I both own an iPod. We are both new users.
    I recently imported files to my work laptop from original CD's into my home computer where the iTunes software for my wife's iPod is located. This was much faster than reloading the original CD's on her computer/iPod.
    When the files were imported it identified them as imported Limeware files although the music originated from the original CD copy.
    Short of reloading all the original CD's into her computer, how can I import the existing files from my computer without them being mislabeled?
    I am also concerned that I will be charged for the imported songs since they have been mislabeled as "Limeware" files by the iTunes software?

    That string just means that you have Limewire set on the computer to be the default application for reading / playing .mp3 files and that you imported the files from CD in iTunes as .mp3. Nothing is wrong with the ripped file that it has to be re-ripped. It does not affect how the songs are played by either iTunes or the iPod. iTunes does not charge you or report you, even if the files were downloaded from Limewire -- really, downloading is between you and your stained conscious.
    If you want to set iTunes as the default application to play MP3, there's a way to do that in the iTunes preferences.
