Importing files (e.g. containing CAD data ) with XI

Hi everybody,
this might be a simple question for someone who knows XI.
Is it possible to import files with e.g. CAD Data to the SAP Document Management System with XI.
Normally we use a BAPI call for this import (BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN_REPLACE2).
Would it be possible to do the same with XI?

Are you using Photos, or iPhoto? Maybe you've got a corrupt file on your camera. I would try using the image capture application to import the bad picture to my desktop. If it works and the picture looks ok,  then delete that pic from the camera, then try to import into iphoto again. You can then import the pic it was saying was bad from your desktop.
Or, try downloading all the pics using image capture and then import from the download folder.

Try image capture or a card reader - after the photos are safely on your Mac then use the camera's format command to reformat the memory card

  • How do I stop LR4 from organizing imported files into a folder by date.

How do I stop LR4 from organizing imported files into a folder by date. Most times when I import files I have already created a folder and sub-folder structure tyat I want to use. I then right click the desired folder and choose import into this folder option. Why does LR4 insist on organizing my already selected destination into a sub-folder with a date by default?

If you do it this way all the time consider a different approach:
Manually copy your images from the card into your desired destination folder in the Finder/Explorer. Once complete drag&drop that entire folder into Lightroom. When the import dialog pops up select to Add the images to the catalog (not copy or move). You will end up with the exact folder structure reflected in your library.

  • After some updates, Aperture stops recognizing previously imported files, and rewrites video metadata dates.  How do I keep the from occurring?

I have been using Aperture since version 1 (to now, 3.x.x), and after some updates Aperture fails to recognize the files previously imported.  I have checked the selection box that says "Do not import duplicates" every time I import.  I have pics and videos dating back to 2001 in the Aperture dB.  Videos were imported once Ap started to support it.  (Well, the initial support was really bad...)  Anyway, those earlier video files all have the same date - now - thanks to Aperture changing the dates to 3/24/00.  The funny thing is, Aperture will not let me manually correct the dates.  To me, it seems that after every major update, the dB gets "reset" and forgets files already imported.  I'm not saying pics/vids imported in the last month, but say six months to five years or more.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
I do not think this matters, hoever, my Ap is set up with referenced original on an external drive.
    Thank you!

    WOW!
I'm REALLY impressed by your exhaustive and detailled description!
How long did it take to write? Sure longer than the import itself...
Thank you so much. I got a working import of Ap2 lib before but your description have me various hints for handling problematic or faulty projects.

  • Unreadable Files: cannot import files error message

I am trying to import old photos from a previous hard drive and get the following message-
    Unreadable Files: (# of files)
The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data).
Then it will have the files and their locations that I am trying to open in the box below. These files can be opened with no problems using Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, Canon's Image Browser as well as Preview. They originally came in as digital photos from a Canon digital camera. They used to be able to open in iPhoto with no problem. They either have a [.JPG] extension or none at all. There are a lot of them. Could it be they were used by an older version of iPhoto and are unrecognizable in this one?
I am running iPhoto 4.0.3 Any suggestions?

    David:
You just reminded me of one more thing you can try. Log in to another account on your iMac and see if iPhoto will import as it should. If it does then it's a problem with your primary account. One cause might be another preference file that's in conflict with iPhoto. You can use Preferential Treatment to check for any corrupt or damaged user or system preference file. It's not foolproof however. If none are found and it sill won't import, then you can try the following method developed my another user:
    Trouble Shooting Preferences
Go to HD/Users/Your_name/Library. Move the Prefs folder (in its entirety) to the desktop. Start iPhoto. Determine if problem is fixed.
If the problem IS fixed, then go to the new Prefs folder that the OS will have created and open it up. Except for those items that are obviously not related, move the contents to the old Prefs folder on the desktop, replacing what had been there. When in doubt, move the item. The worst thing that can happen is a harmless "alert" message. Then, trash what remains of the new folder. Finally, move the old (but modified) Prefs folder back to the library.
If the problem is NOT fixed, trash the new Prefs folder and move the old one back to its original location.
If stlll no go, I'd try reinstalling the 10.2.9 COMBO updater followed by a permissions repair.

  • Unreadable files (may not have valid data)

I posted this message on the MacOSX forums website. Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
    Hi
I am trying to import some photos from my 7.2 mp Sony Cybershot camera onto iPHOTO. When i click import, it prompts me to "skip over" those i have already imported and, when i do, it pauses and an error message comes up.
    Quote
The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data).

This question is posed to those who have either a) used and is familiar with the Cybershot system and its troubleshooting and b) received the same error message and have troubleshooted or fixed the problem.
Thanks much for any future help. I hope someone can come to my rescue!
    Sedukai
please note that this has only recently began to occur. I have about 100 pictures in my library that I have successfully imported into my library. I read the help section on this problem located in iPHOTO help and it told me that "the files may not be picture files." In my experience, .jpg is a picture file so i sort of rules that out (and also the fact that the help was directed to those with iPHOTO 2.0).
Thank you so much for any help!
    Sedukai
p.s. also note that when i try to eject the camera (put the desktop pic into the trash) it says that it is in use and i should "quit the program".

    Sedukai:
To rule out the files themselves use Image Capture, located in your Applications folder, to upload those files to the Desktop first. Then try to import from there.
If they don't import from there are there any setting on the camera that might have been changed, i.e. file type or the like. Also make sure there's an extension on the file and it's not been left off for some reason.

  • MathScript Nugget #19: Sharing Data With Other Applications

In MathScript Nugget #18, we looked at ways to transfer data between MathSript and the rest of LabVIEW. In today's nugget, we'll see some of the different ways that MathScript can share data with programs besides LabVIEW.
The most common way to share data between programs is by reading and writing files. MathScript supports several file formats that are recognized by other programs. The ones we'll touch on in this nugget are MLV, MAT, CSV, TXT, TDM(S) and XLS.
The easiest way to bring data into MathScript is with the 'load' function. The help topic for this function does a great job of explaining it. The load function will bring in a group of variables that have been saved to a file earlier. The most common formats that load supports are:
MLV files created with MathScript save function
MAT files created with  version 6.0 or earlier of The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software
TDM and TDMS binary measurement files created in LabVIEW or DIAdem
The load and save functions are great for storing off a group of variables to be used again in a future session of MathScript. You can do the same thing using the Operate>>Load Data... and Operate>>Save Data... menu items in the MathScript Window. These support the same file formats as load and save.
The best formats to use if you want to share data with other applications are TXT, CSV, and XLS. MathScript has special funcitons to read and write each of these formats. The functions, such as fread_csv and fwrite_xls, are all members of the support class.
The last way to read and write data files with MathScript is to use a custom file format. MathScript supports common file operations like fread and fwrite. You can use these functions to create or import files of any binary or textual format.
There's one last way to move data out of MathScript without using files. You can copy data from the MathScript Window or MathScript Probe as tab-delimited text to your OS clipboard. You can then paste this text to a text editor or spreadsheet program.
Hopefully now you have an idea of the many ways to move data into and out of MathScript.

TDM and TDMS are also excellent file formats to share your data with other applications. National Instrumenst offers free libraries and add-ins to access TDM and TDMS files with e.g. Excel, OpenOffice Calc or The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software. Have a look at this page to

If you've run recovery over the drives already and they've recovered some files, I'd be guessing anything no recovered isn't likely to be recovered.
Since all the working drives have since had significant amounts of data written over the data you want to recover, I'd be guessing it's well and truly gone.
Short of sending the damaged drive to recovery specialists who can physically rebuild / repair the broken parts within the drive, I'd say those files are gone forever
Even sending it to the professionals is no gurantee -- if the platter itself has been scratched/damaged, then there's nothing anyone can do.
The hard drive that is now ext3 should not have had the data written over yet. It used to have XP on it, so it should just be the XP files written over, hopefully. Can I still recover data from when the partitoin was ntfs now that it is ext3?
The recovery tool has only gone over my external drive.
    I'll try system rescue CD.

  • Problem with Save data with report

    Post Author: ramprosoft
    CA Forum: General
    Hi,
I am new to CR and using Crystal Reports XI with SQL Server 2000.
I'm not able to remove the saved data in a report. I have played around different options, but unfortunately I'm not able to remove the data. I have checked variouse places in web above this issue not able to find a solution, so decided to open a new post. The problem is :
I have created a simple report and saved with-out data (1st version) the file size was 16KB. After few changes I have saved the same report with Data, the file size become 1065 KB. Its perfect and I can view the report in Report Viewer. Great Stuff!. Now the Testing completed, I would like to move this report to production environment, I notice that I'm unable to remove the data. I have played around various tricks like below, but it didnt work well.
    Trick 1:
Uncheck: File->Options->Reporting (tab)->Save Data With Report.
Check: File -> Options -> Reporting (tab)->Discard Saved data on Open,
Uncheck: file-> Report Options -> Save Data With Report.
File -> Save Data with Report (Not selected)
Opened the report and try "save" and also tried "save as", still the size is 1065.
    Trick 2:
I enabled all "Save Data with report" feature. Deleted all the rows in the table related to the query, previewed the report and Saved the report with "Save Data with report" featuer. But now, the funny part happen, the file size increased to 1070kb, instead of reducing. Worst Stuff!!!
    Trick 3:
Updated the latest version of Patch and tried above tricks, still i'm not able to remove the data.
Appreciate, if you could help me to fix the problem.
    thanks in advance

  • Can PE9 import files as frames?

    Hi
I'm wondering if it is possible to import files as frames as you do with VDub.
I do a lot of animation and I use VDub to convert the frames into avi files.
It would be nice it I could do this directly into PE and cut out a step.
I did some research but I couldn't fine anything that discussed this.
    Mike

I'll give it a try though I usually work a lot bigger then that, at least 1600 by 900 and most of the time 1920 by 1080.
I can probable go smaller my last animated title only lasted 12 seconds and was just under 1 Gig for the file size.
I ordered PE10 and it will be here in two days so I'll wait until I have it installed before I get into this.
I started doing the animated films a year ago and now that I have new software to do the animating which lets me produce better output I'm doing them over.
I'm finishing up the first one today.
Then I'm going to work my way through the 7 I have done before I do any new ones.
I've learned a lot in a year so they have improved since I did the first one.
    Thanks again for the help

As the previous poster stated, you need to export using resource assignments not activities. The only changes that P6 will accept will be to information about activities (Description, duration, etc) if you choose activities. Choosing Resources will allow changes to information with resources and resources asignments will allow changes to information pertaining to the interaction of the activities and resources.
