Importing From Finalized Disk to imovie!!!Need Help Fast!!

I shot a video for my friend for his project, and I need to edit it. My Sony Handycam that uses mini DVD disks cannot import to my computer according to Sony Tech Support. The man on Sony Support told me to contact Macintosh and ask them how to convert a .VOB file into a different kind of file supported by imovie. imovie, apparently, does not support .VOB files. So, in one sentence, I need to know how to conver a .VOB file into one supported by imovie, and then how to import those files to imovie. Thank you very much for reading this. ok, I thought I could do a project in my new Final Cut Pro X. I got everything downloaded on Final Cut and I made my Project. The problem is is has taken so long to render that I don't have time. How do I download the video from Final Cut to Imovie?
Your media is stored in Final Cut Events folder > "name of event" > original media. The Final Cut Events folder is in your movies folder or at the root level of an external drive if you are using one to store your media. Simply open iMovie and under file menu select import movies. Navigate to the original media folder and import your clips to Imovie event library.

Import from Final Cut Pro not working correctly
I have a very simple project in FCP. (Ver 6) It is a HD clip that is about 5 min long with 7 chapter markers.
I exported the project as an XML file and imported that into Premiere Pro empty project.
I wind up with two assets, a .mov with same name as the .mov in FCP and a sequence with the same named sequence in FCP.
Right clicking on the .mov and selecting "New sequence from clip" creates a new sequence with the .mov on the timeline.
There are no markers.
Right clicking on the sequence asset and selecting "New sequence from clip" creates another sequence with the same name and the .mov on the timeline.
The markers are inside the .mov and audio tracks, not up on the top ruler line where markers appear when manually adding markers.
The keystrokes to move to markers do not work.
The "Clear all Markers" function is greyed out , like it is when no markers exist.
If a "Dynamic link to Encore is performed, there is no markers in Encore.
If you enter chapter markers manually and look at the project file (an XML file) you will see indexes with the chapter points , durations and names as children named "Markers" with attribute"ObjectID='22'.under "//PremiereData"
Following , in sequential order, are subsequent objects "Markers", ObjectID='23" through "ObjectID=n
However, if you look at the project file after importing a FCP project, this same function occurs, except that it is "Markers" "ObjectID=30 with the indexes and marker data 31 through n (further down in the file). This area is empty when adding the markers manually in Premiere Pro.
FYI , the project file is littered with the word "Marker" and "Markers" throughout the file, only their attributes make any node unique.
I am at 99.9 &% finished with a VB program to create / modify nodes, values and attributes, except that the XML date changes format at the node named "//WorkspaceSettings" so I am not able to edit values to make a file that will not crash when opening.
I would very much like the import from Final Cut Pro to work, or someone explain how to work with the nodes under "//WorkspaceSettings"
Thank millions for a solution.It's a 2007 iMac with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I had been using Final Cut Pro without any problems right until I upgraded to Yosemite. I'm hoping that upgrading to Yosemite doesn't mean I can't continue using Final Cut Pro - that would be extremely frustrating.

No I haven't formatted it, but don't really know how to either? I am a bit of a newbie at this and thought i just had to buy any memory stick and it would work. can you suggest how to format it for FAT32 ( I don't know what this is either ) as I will be using the memory stick for windows also at a later date.

Premiere Pro CC updated - crashes almost immediately on my mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. Crashes at startup, crashes with media import, crashes when creating a sequence. NEED HELP FAST> I have tried many troubleshooting solutions I found online nothing has worked.

I would like to remove a short gray edge from two images. I need help in that I am not yet able to use PhotoShop. Could somebody kindly help me with this?
I doubt it Doc Maik, but I am certainly happy to learn The image is this one (and a similar one). They would be beautiful portraits if not for the "extra mouth". The grey edge that I would like to remove is the excess of (grey) mouth that is actually my horse's chin, but that in the pictures looks like a wider, looping mouth. Practically, looking at the picture, the "extra mouth" to the left. What I would love it to be able correct that to look like a normal mouth, which means that half of the protruding edge should be removed. I am not sure I was able to explain myself, but here is one of the two pictures. I thank you for you kindness in being available to advise me.

I'm making a DVD for our class reunion. A fellow classmate has some video on a mini cassette that he said he could put on a dvd. Will I be able to import from that dvd to imovie to use in my dvd? Or does it have to be in another format, maybe flash drive?
Ask your friend to supply you the DVD as a data DVD using either DV or AIC as the video format, burning the DVD as a DVD for a DVD player will degrade the video quality.

iMovie works best with uncompressed audio. If your track is MP3 or AAC, you may get better results by converting your track to the AIFF format and then using that in iMovie.
You can do this in iTunes. Go to iTunes/Preferences and click the General button. On the General page, click the Import Settings button. Choose IMPORT USING: AIFF ENCODER.
(note: remember what you changed it from so you can change it back later, before you import another CD)
Now, in iTunes, select your track. Then click FILE/CREATE NEW VERSION/AIFF VERSION. -

It sounds as if you don't really understand what "using data" means. Data is not something different from WiFi and 3G, it's something sent over WiFi and 3G. Think of data as water and WiFi and 3G as types of pipes. Some apps need to send and receive data to work. That data can be sent or received in different ways. It can be sent over WiFi or 3G. Both official iPhone carriers in the U.S. have metered data plans. It's sounds as if you're talking about AT&T's 200 mb data plan. WiFi is not provided by your cellular carrier. You can have WiFi from your Internet Service Provider at home or you can access free WiFi at places like McDonalds or Starbucks or paid WiFi at places like airports.
If you have WiFi turned on on your phone and WiFi is available, the phone will default to WiFi. WiFi is faster than 3G and generally not metered, and is sometimes even free. If you are out of range of WiFi, you would be using 3G to send and receive your data. With a metered plan, you need to keep an eye on how much you are using because if you go over your allowance, you will be charged additional fees. -

Need help fast!- I suspect that he went to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. For 1G or 2G iPod that can take hours and it will likely stall out if not connected to a charging source.
Try the following:
- A reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The connect to computer and try to restore via iTunes.
- Id something is still showing onthe screen, disconnect from computer/charging source and let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour, Try the reset and restore.
- If you can turn the iPod off, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovey mode:

Why does this code not do what I want to happen?

Need help fast with a buying decision - Leadtek 6800 GT
Hi there, I have the opportunity to swap my Club 3D 6800 GT for a Leadtek 6800 GT. The reasons I would do this would be the cooling and the games bundle.
I just wanted to know if anyone knows how the cooling is on this particular card and if it would be better than the reference design?
My other concern is that it has a huge copper heatsink on the back of the card, this would sit directly under the CPU HSF. There really would only be a few millimeters between them and due to the position of the socket on this board, the heat sink fins go up vertically. Would the heat from the card's copper heat sink rise up into the CPU HSF grooves and raise the temperature of the CPU?

I kind of need help fast as someone said they were gonna buy my other card of ebay today, there's still time to stop them if this is gonna be a bad ideai would definately take the leadtek one over the club3d card, the cards themselves are all based on refrence designs just different cooling solutions and bundles
and the cooler on the leadtek is a lot better, and it isnt more noisy then the club3d one at all
it has better cooling, and they seem to be the ones which are the most available, and they overclock very well due to the better cooling -
Need Help Fast! Page is dispalying twice in quiz
I have created a quiz using tips from another post in this
forum. I insterted a regular slide with a continue button before
the quiz questions. I insterted another regular slide at the end of
the questions with a re-take button that points to that first
slide. This part is working great. When I take the published quiz,
I click the continue button, and instead of continuing, the slide
redisplays. I click the button again, and it moves forward like
it's supposed to. Any advice?
