Importing gpx files

Which app do i use for importing GPX files from my laptop onto my iphone and then running the GPX files for route directions ???
Any help much appreciated .............

I don't know much about GPX files, but the problem seems to be in the Sport Tracker website.
When I edit the GPX file using a tool (i.e. GPX_Editor), it will show the route on Google Maps with correct speed etc. So the GPX file seems to be correct.
Nokia Sports Trackers (web) should be able to do the same and should import/display the correct data.
Hopefully this will be fixed. For the moment we just have to wait...

Importing GPX file into BlackStar issue

This is similar to the Cacheberry issue mentioned elsewhere. I can download the file onto my device just fine. However, I can't get it imported into BlackStar, it counts down from 100%, then just hangs. Have worked with, and received outstanding help from BlackStar, but seems to be isolated problem. Anyone have any ideas? SD card issue?

I strongly advise against using MPEG audio files in Encore.
Instead, use an uncompressed WAV or AIF file, and then let Encore transcode it to AC3, which is universally supported by all DVD players (some players can't playback MPA streams). Don't recompress the MPA to AC3 in Encore as MPEG-1 Level 2 compression in MPA is already lossy, and recompressing to AC3 will involve further lossy compression.
If you have a good AC3 encoder, you could also use an AC3 stream in Encore.
But avoid MPEG audio - if not for the reason of the trouble your seeing, then for player compatibility.

A3 Can't import GPX Data from MacGPS Pro

I'm on a trip trying out A3 for the first time. I have a Garmin 76CSx and normally import my track logs into MacGPS Pro 8.6.0 I same the track logs as GPX files and then import them into A3. Early in the trip, I could see the track in the Map in A3, but now I only see one point on the track. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong now?
I'm back to writing the EXIF data to the photos with Houdah Geo and then getting them into Aperture, but this is a very slow process when I take hundreds of pictures a day.

I had not used Aperture before, so I downloaded the demo of version 3 and gave GPX import into "Places" a try. What I found out is that if a GPX file has multiple track logs in it, Aperture ignores all of the track logs except the last one. So, it you read in a GPX file with only one track log in it, everything is fine. If you read in a file with multiple track logs in it, you may get unexpected results.
This is what happens with your Garmin 76CSx: It has the track log you want recorded in its track memory. When you get home and turn it on to transfer the track to your computer, it starts recording a new track log at your home location. If you do the transfer fairly promptly, that new log will have only 1 or two points. When you then transfer the track logs into your computer with MacGPS Pro, it will show all of the track logs. Since you see the track log you wanted, you might not even notice the additional small log the receiver has just started. When you save the tracks to a GPX file, all of the tracks are saved, but the tiny new track is the last track in the file. When you open the file in Aperture, that is the only track you see.
The solution: Transfer the track logs from your Garmin 76CSx into MacGPS Pro. Then select and delete the tiny last track log. Now save the GPX file and open it in Aperture, and you will have what you expected to have.

Some .gpx files not fully loading in Aperture 3

I use the MotionX GPS iPhone app to create a .gpx file which I can import into Aperture 3. Some of the files do not completely display the tracked route despite multiple attempts. I have uploaded the same track to Facebook and it does display the entire track.
Does anybody have any insight into troubleshooting this issue?

I don't know about the iPHone and MotionX, but on my Garmin Forerunner, I noticed that if I hit the lap button (and maybe the waypoint button), then Aperture imports the whole .gpx file but splits it into multiple tack files for each section of the whole course (which can be selected in the GPS menu).

Are u trying to import with .bak extension ? If so please rename the file and remove .bak extension and try.
x.par is enough to import not x.par.bak.

How to Import XML file into SAP B1

Dear All,
I have a scenario like,
I am receiving a XML file from a 3rd party application for the daily Creation,Update of Item Master,BP Master, Marketing Documents. I want to import this file into SAP B1 through its approp objects. I understand DTW has limitation in its file types (Semicolo,Tab,Comma,ODBC). How do i do this ? Please guide me.

I´m frim Brasil and I've been studying the tool EFM (Eletronic File Manager) to learn more about it!
There I saw that we can extract to XML "any" infomation from the database we want, mainly through the GEP.
However, as I've seen, this Add-On can not import any XML file into SBO, unless for the BFP wich can be imported in conjunction with the BTHF Add-on.
So I ask: how is it possible to import XML data into SBO database? Is it possible to be done through the EFM? or it´s really necessary to write a code specifically to do that?
Besides, I know that de B1iSN fit to this necessity... but when I tried to use it, by the custom "object" for BP, for example, there are some data wich the mapping conteined in this custom "process" that can not be imported... I tried to understand how to map those other fields not imported by the custom but this has been dificult to me as I am a implementation consultant focused in administrative process not on development...
Could you please help me with this subject!

How to include preset in RTF import option while importing RTF files?

I created a script which will place text from rtf files present in a folder to an active document on different page based on match. I am using a preset name "myRTF" which i will use when i import rtf files without script.
Is there a way to include this preset in script?
I have checked many places....... but did not found.

Problem Importing CR2 Files in Aperture 1.5.6

I recently shot a number of pictures at my sister's wedding using my Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I am now trying to import the RAW files into Aperture (ver. 1.5.6). Aperture will recognize the compact flash card and display the files on the card. When I try to import the files, however, Aperture seems to go through the process of importing the files (the little timer dial runs etc.) but at the end of the import process the pictures do not appear in my project. What could be the problem? I am able to copy the files onto a folder on my desktop but Aperture will not import these files even from that folder. Help!

formatted flash drive on camera.
downloaded photos from a file reader via flash drive.
camera = canon mk3ds eos
can see previews in apeture (2.1.2) but large image on browser is unsupported.
error message "unsupported image format".
have tried downloading them again and importing them again etc.
both straight into apeture and via hard drive folder.
but it worked last week?
bit upset i love aperture and my new camera now nothing is working well
for info i loaded up canon photo professional which is canons own brand image processor (which is a bit rubbish imho) and the images worked on that.
they will not import to photoshop (an old version)

Tempo problems with imported wav files

Hey everyone, sorry if there's a quick fix for this in the forums that I couldn't find, but I've been having some tempo problems with imported .wav files.
Long story short, my system couldn't handle playing all the tracks for a song while recording drums, so I bounced out an mp3 of the song and put it in a new Logic file so my drummer could just play along to that as I recorded him. Unfortunately, the original song is at 167 bpm, but I forgot to change the bpm in the new Logic file with the .mp3 file of the song to 167 bpm, so it was left at the default 120 bpm.
So, the drums were recorded at the correct 167 bpm, but Logic thinks that those new drum .wav files should be played at 120 bpm, so when I import my drum tracks back into the original file, they do not play correctly at all.
I could get record it all again, but I wanted to check if there was a way I could salvage what I already have, since my drummer lives about an hour away right now and can't just come over whenever he wants.

First, do not use MP3 in Logic, the sound quality is less than AIFF, WAV or CAF, and Logic has to decode it for playback, making it a heavier burden on the CPU than an uncoded audiofile, such as AIFF, WAV or CAF.
Secondly, audio files are independent of Logic's tempo. If you bounce down an audio file in any format (other than Apple Loop), it will play back at the same speed, +regardless of Logics' tempo setting+, either at recording or playback. Logic doesn't 'think' anything. The BPM is only important to MIDI tracks, or to the spacing between audio files. The audio files themselves *are not affected* by the tempo setting. If you import an audio file of tempo 167 into a 120 BPM project, the file will still play at 167, only Logic will indicate the wrong bar positions.

I would like to know this too. I imported a lot of files, then Imovie crashed. I went back in and they are not in imovie at all.
I reconnected the camcorder to import again and though they are still on the camcorder, I no longer see them in the available list of files to import. I'm sure there is some sort of simple setting somewhere that reveals all files even if it thinks they are imported.

Digging up an old thread slightly, but is this still definitely the case? Last week double-clicking a folder definitely just opened up a folder for me to explore its contents, but now I'm constantly accidentally importing huge folders into things like After Effects and Mail... it's very annoying!

I get an error when trying to import MP3 files in iTunes?

When I try to import mp3 files into iTunes (version 6), I get an error message of:
The file "song file name" can not be imported An unknown error has occurred (-50).
I have already imported these files into iTnes on my old computer, but run into this problem with my new laptop. I downloaded a new version of iTunes just like I installed all my new programs on this new laptop.
For some reason, I run into this problem when trying to import any mp3 files (as mentioned, even mp3 files that I successfully imported into iTunes previously).
(I've tried a complete removal and re-install, but that didn't help)
Anyone know why I'm getting this error message and how to correct things?

Uploading Importing text file & crosstab display

 I want to upload a text tab delimited file into our db, currently we
are uploading it to a temp table in the db, do some validation checks and write
to a table when done. I have two questions:
 1) Is there a more efficient way of upload/importing flat files into
the db via forms, like loading data into a non db data block and working on the
data via loops rather than sql in a temp table.
 2) I want to present the data to the user(for verification) via a form
screen as they have read it in, the only way I can think of doing this, is
populating a temp table and then using a data block based on a stored procedure
that contains a dynamic pivot query package since I don't know the
number of columns that the file will contain. Data blocks can do either
vertical or horizontal alignment but not grid.
 File will take the format of: 
 col1 col2 col3

1) It's a utility for users and so it has to be through forms
Presently I think it is better to read it in to a temp table then I can use sql for validation which would be faster than looping through blocks. But with this approach I'm just a little worried about Lost Updates e.g. what if someone is changing scores in the regular update screen while another person is trying to import them via the import utility.
2) I have to use a stored procedure because I don't know how many columns a user will want to load in, sometimes it could be 2,3 or 5 etc. So basically I am looking at a way of presenting the data from it's stored format in it's read in format i.e. file format
