Importing graphics without background color

hi, i was trying to import a symbol to DSC's Image Navigator; but it seems that the whiteground is always imported as well ; as a result the symbol inserted into the front panel has always the "white" background ; pls help/advise

One way to do it is to create a 'Transparent GIF' this is the technique that I find most robust.
I usually use an old version of Paintshop Pro for this although there are thousands of other tools.

  • Import logo without background

    In Adobe Illustrator I made an logo without a background. I import the logo in InDesign. Now I get a white background. My framework is empty. How is it possible? I want a solution

  • Exporting swf without background color

    I am exporting from CS5 to a swf - which all works fine except when I load the swf as an external file into Flash it shows a grey background during pre-loading, does anyone know how to make it transparent or change the colour without losing the interactivity?

    AFAIK you can´t remove or bypass that default preload.... when we were designing eDocker2 we faced that problem too. We worked-around it by creating our own non-transparent preloader which was placed on the top of loaded SWF until loaded was finished....

    Hi,
    CSS is interpreted by your browser, so server cache seems unlikely in htis case. There is however some hierarchy in CSS, so parts of the APEX CSS, theme CSS or page CSS might overwright or block yours.
    Does changing the CSS on runtime affect your page? Eg, run the following in your browser console and see if your page turns black: $('#uBodyContainer').css("background-color","black")
    Also try moving up your css in the hierarchy labeling it as important:
    div#uBodyContainer {
      background-color:#000000 !important;

  • I can't print background colors

    I have tested every combination of checks in the colors section of options in tools. There are puzzles I like to print out. Without background color they are not useful. I have to go to Internet Explorer for this purpose where this is no problem.

    Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?  What program are you using for email?

  • Background-color:transparent !important; is not working in IE

    Hi,
    In my sharepoint site i have used "background-color:transparent !important;" css. It is not working in IE but in Mozilla is working fine.
    And I am using IE 11. Please let me know is there any thing wrong in the syntax. If that is the case please provide me correct solution for that.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Saya

    Thank you for your reply.
    I have checked given links. Those are not use for this issue.
    Actually in my sharepoint site the same code "background-color:transparent
    !important;" was working fine before installing sharepoint 2010 service pack 2. After installation we got this issue. And if i change "transparent"
    with any color, it is applying that color. Only "transparent"
    background css is not working in IE.

  • Can change work-space background color without effect on HTML?

    I'd like to have a dark work-space background-color (for the
    design part of
    the interface) when I work in my included files, instead of
    the default
    white. Can I have it without setting a true CSS that affects
    the real
    appearance of the page?

    > But... can I apply this to all my files (the entire
    website) in a single
    > shot, or should I have to set it file-by-file?
    file by file.
    Or- there is this pay for extension:
    http://www.communitymx.com/abstract.cfm?cid=61265
    The info about the stylesheets for a given filename is in a
    hidden
    filename.mno design note, so an .mno design note has to be
    created for each
    file.

    Hi,
    We almost had the same requirement, but we just needed to color a specific column.
    Here goes the solution to that, you might do the same for your row highlighting
    Changes are required in jsff and one method to be added in backing bean
    1. JSFF :
    <af:column headerText="Amount"
                     id="c4" width="100"
                     inlineStyle="#{backingBeanScope.BackingBean.cellColor}">2. Backing Bean
    //searchResultTableVO is Table's VO
    public String getCellColor() {
          FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
          ExpressionFactory ef = ctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
          ValueExpression ve = ef.createValueExpression(ctx.getELContext(), "#{row}", FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding.class);
          FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding node = (FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding)ve.getValue(ctx.getELContext());
          Row row = node.getRow();
        if(row.equals(searchResultTableVO.getCurrentRow())){
    //You can add your inline style for font-style too
          return "background-color:Red;";
             return null;
      }Hope this is helpful :)

  • Graphics.drawImage not using specified background color

    Thanks to everyone in advance -
    I have created an image resizing class, with a crop method. The cropping works great, the issue that I am having is the background color that i specify in the drawImage function of Graphics is not working correctly, it defaults to black as the background regardless of what I supply (in this case Color.WHITE). Also, the overlaying image or top most image (comes from a file) is being inverted(i think it is) or otherwise discolored. Here is the code below that I am working with:
    Thanks,
    Sam
                   public void Crop(int Height, int Width, int SourceX, int SourceY) throws Exception {
                        //output height and width
                        int OutputWidth = this.OutputImage.getWidth();
                        int OutputHeight = this.OutputImage.getHeight();
                        //create output streams
                        ByteArrayOutputStream MyByteArrayOutputStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                        MemoryCacheImageOutputStream MyMemoryCacheImageOutputStream = new MemoryCacheImageOutputStream(MyByteArrayOutputStream);
                        //Create a new  BufferedImage
                        BufferedImage NewImage = new BufferedImage(Width, Height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_ARGB);
                        Graphics MyGraphics = NewImage.createGraphics();
                        MyGraphics.drawImage(this.OutputImage, -SourceX, -SourceY, OutputWidth, OutputHeight, Color.WHITE, null);
                        // Get Writer and set compression
                        Iterator MyIterator = ImageIO.getImageWritersByFormatName("PNG");
                        if(MyIterator.hasNext()) {
                             //get image writer
                             ImageWriter MyImageWriter = (ImageWriter)MyIterator.next();
                             //get params
                             ImageWriteParam MyImageWriteParam = MyImageWriter.getDefaultWriteParam();
                             //set outputstream
                             MyImageWriter.setOutput(MyMemoryCacheImageOutputStream);
                             //create new ioimage
                             IIOImage MyIIOImage = new IIOImage(NewImage, null, null);
                             //write new image
                             MyImageWriter.write(null, MyIIOImage, MyImageWriteParam);
                        //convert output stream back to inputstream
                        ByteArrayInputStream MyByteArrayInputStream = new ByteArrayInputStream(MyByteArrayOutputStream.toByteArray());
                        MemoryCacheImageInputStream MyMemoryCacheImageInputStream = new MemoryCacheImageInputStream(MyByteArrayInputStream);
                        //resassign as a buffered image
                        this.OutputImage = ImageIO.read(MyMemoryCacheImageInputStream);
                   }

    Thanks for all your help!
    Here is the solution, notice the clear rect:
                   public void Crop(int Height, int Width, int SourceX, int SourceY) throws Exception {
                        //output height and width
                        int OutputWidth = this.OutputImage.getWidth();
                        int OutputHeight = this.OutputImage.getHeight();
                        //Create a new BufferedImage
                        BufferedImage NewImage = new BufferedImage(Width, Height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
                        //create new grapics
                        Graphics2D MyGraphics = NewImage.createGraphics();
                        //set background
                        MyGraphics.setBackground(Color.decode(this.BackgroundColor));
                        //clear rect
                        MyGraphics.clearRect(0, 0, Width, Height);
                        //draw image
                        MyGraphics.drawImage(this.OutputImage, -SourceX, -SourceY, OutputWidth, OutputHeight, null, null);
                        //dispose graphics
                        MyGraphics.dispose();
                        //resassign as a buffered image
                        this.OutputImage = NewImage;
                   }

  • Upload LOGO as is. Without the background color getting changed

    Hi All,
    I uploaded a LOGO using SE78. BMAP as a color image.
    I converted the .JPG to .BMP in 24 bit format.
    The background color was white in .JPG and even in .BMP after conversion.
    But, when i uploaded and used in my smartforms, the bacground color was not pure white. It was in light grey color. I want the bacground color as white which will fit correctly in the smartforms without any grey bacground.
    Can you all please suggest me a solution.
    Thanks,

  • How can I correct background color and graphics in Firefox?

    For some reason some background color images and fonts do not appear in Firefox. Other browsers are mostly fine. I've tried most common fixes to no avail. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.
    I've attached two screenshots. One is Firefox viewing Google. The other one may be relevant because I can't change the color of fonts in Word and other Office docs.
    Anyway, I'm stumped on the Firefox side. The browser has been uninstalled, re installed, and refreshed.

    Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
    *http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/turn-on-high-contrast
    Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
    Note that these settings affect background images.
