Importing GroupePartners with dtw : Type of BusinessPartnerGroups

Hello,
when i try importing BusinessPartnersGroups (code, name, type) I have to put a GroupType (S for Supplier or C for Customer) but it is not S or C but others value which are not into the SDK object browser.
does anyone know these values ?

Error importing oBusinessPartners with DTW 2005.0.16

I can not import BusinessParters with DTW 2005.0.16. For objects like Items ... it works as usual. With oBusinessPartners the Source data is shown empty, resulting in 0 imports and in 0 errors. If I open the dialog "Maintain Interface" to see the field database, it is empty within the oBusinessPartners.
How can I correct this?

Franz is right with his interpretation: It is about participating in the Ramp-up program for SAP Business One 2007 A:
Customer upgrade projects will not be able to participate in the 2007 A Ramp-Up if PL23 (or higher) on SAP Business One 2005 A SP01 have been applied. This is because Enhancement Package content has been introduced with PL23 which, due to compliance rules that SAP must follow, SAP can only add to SAP Business One 2007 A once this new release has been assigned general availability status.

Data with "," overflows to the next field when importing data with DTW

Dear all,
When I tried to import data with DTW, for the data that includes ",", the data after "," all jumps into the next field after import.
E.g. Column A(memo): bank, United state
       Column B(project code): blank
       Result in SBO: Memo field : bank
                              Project code: United state
I have tried 2 ways.
1. Save the file as csv, and adding double quote(") at the beginning and ending of the data. However, it didn't work. It didn't work with single quote as well.
2. Save the file as txt, without amending the data at all.
It worked, however, in SBO, double quote is auto added, it becomes "bank, United state".
Please kindly advise how to handle such case.

Importing InventoryGenEntry with DTW

Hi experts!
I am trying to import an inventoryGenEntry with DTW and it sends me this error:
IGN1.WhsCode,Line: 1, Fractional quantity in row XXXX aplication defined or object defined error 65171
The document only have one line, the item have batch numbre managment.
I test this and whorked fine:
I create the item on another DB without Batch number managment an it works.
Header:

I check the linenum field remark:
It should be an integer which begin with 0 ,it is just for update, keep it empty when import.
But I need decimal quantities to make this entry because I'm working with "chemical" materials, could you recomend me something diferent?

Error while importing data with DTW

Hi Guys,
I received an error when i try to upload data with DTW

When i click on run simulation again,
I received another error 65172.
There's two different error.
Can anyone help?

This error means that your Obscommon user is corrupt and you cannot connect to the SBO-Common database to download the OBServer.dll that is stored in the temporary directory.

Importing Pricelists with DTW

Hi All,
I'm trying to import pricelists to be created I'm using the oPricelists template in the DTW.
If I import 1 new pricelist it is fine and imports correctly but I'm now trying to import another 80 new pricelists and DTW is giving an error on the first line. Error reads:
"Internal Error (-5000) occurredApplication-defined or object-defined error65171"
Is there a limit to how any pricelists are allowed in SBO?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Wyk,
There is no limit to the number of pricelists which can be added into SBO.
However in the OPLN table there is a field called ListNum which is defined as a smallint.
In the Online Books the length definiton is as follows:
Use the smallint data type to store numbers in the range from -32,768 through 32,767 only (requires 2 bytes of storage per value), and the tinyint data type to store numbers in the range from 0 through 255 only (requires 1 byte of storage per value).
This may give you additional indication of storage size of the OPLN table. There is also the possibility of deleting pricelists after they are no longer in use as they might cause performance issues. This must
however be done manually and the price list cannot be connected to any BPs or Payment terms when being deleted.

Updating import declarations with duty types and message types

Hi All,
I am a GTS developer. There are configuration changes in the system . As a result, the import declarations and presentation documents created in 2014 and 2013 have to be updated with :
1.) Replace old duty types with new ones in the logistic costs tab.
2.) Replace old message types with new ones in the communication tab.
Any pointers on how to go about , regarding the table links between the duty types and declarations, message types and declarations , Function modules would be very helpful. Thanks much in advance.

That's a strange request. Of course the configuration changes invalidate the old Declarations, but your attempt to re-write history isn't likely to achieve much.
Since the messaging cannot be repeated, it makes no sense to update the documents. And similarly, since the Declarations cannot be re-sent, updating the Duty Types will have no effect.
But if you must do it, here are some tips:
For the duty calculation, you need to update entries in table /SAPSLL/LEGCULC. Assuming the the Duty Types haven't been re-named, you should loop through the entries and use MOVE-CORRESPONDING to copy the values from the configuration tables /SAPSLL/TLC_ASC (key = LAUNR) and /SAPSLL/TLC_AAR (key = TLC_AAR, matching /SAPSLL/LEGCULC-TLC_AART). First check that all relevant fields have the same name, considering the Data Elements involved.
For the messages, you need to update entries in table /SAPSLL/LEGMES. However, I have no idea which fields your esteemed Application Consultant might have changed there, so can't immediately advise what should be copied.
In both cases, the link to the Customs Declarations is that GUID_MOBJ = /SAPSLL/CUHD-GUID_CUHD, and MOBJT = 'O' (that's the letter, not number zero).

How to import layouts with live type and vectors?

I seem to have run into a stumper on basic AE workflow. I want to set up a workflow where I can lay out designs in one app, and then bring them into AE to animate, and fly the camera around. My intent is to do infographics like this: http://vimeo.com/25123730 (OK, well, not nearly that slick...yet)
The difficulty is, if I lay out my design in Photoshop, after I import it, it will let me convert the type to live type, but the vector shapes are all rasterized, and I can't get them as vectors. If I lay out in Illustrator, the shapes are all crisp vectors, but my type is rasterized! I'm thinking that there's something I have to be missing here.
What's the solution?

There's actually a very simple solution that I use all the time. You simply convert your type to outlines in illustrator. I do this kind of stuff at least once a month. That's the only way to go. A side benefit is that you get to work with much smaller file sizes and much faster rendering times when you're doing really big 3-D moves on a really big piece of artwork.
The only catch is that some typefaces do not convert to outlines very well. You just need to make sure by carefully examining the conversion.
Another trick is to duplicate the type layers before you convert them. I move all of the duplicated type to a separate layer that I keep at the bottom of the stack in case the client wants, and they always want, changes. That bottom layer is simply kept hidden.
If I really need to use a text animator on one of the lines, I will use the illustrator layer as a placeholder and just simply type in the word or words. Most of my designs do not involve heavy use of text animators. These tricks will work until After Effects has the ability to import LiveType from Illustrator or vector shapes from Photoshop.

Error importing VAT Groups with DTW

Hello,
I have a problem with importing with DTW VAT Groups. The error I am getting is:
"" is not a valid value for field Category. The valid values are 'O' - Output tax and 'I' - Input tax. This error appears even if in my csv in the Category column I have set up O for outputs and I for imputs.
If i don't put anything in field Category, it imports them fine, but all of output type.
Am I missing something or this is a bug?

The DTW uses the same properties as the SDK objects. If you look at the VatGroups object in the DI API help documentation for the SDK, you do not use an "O" or "I", you use and enumeration to signify whether the tax is for input or output depending on the document type. You will want to look at the VatGroups business object in the SDK help and specifically for the Category property the BoVatCategoryEnum Enumeration.

Import from database an internal table with generic Type : Web Dynpro ABAP

i have a requirement in which i'm asked to transfer data flow between two frameworks, from WD Component to another. The problem is that i have to transfer internal tables with generic types. i used the import/ export from database approache but in that way i get an error message saying "Object references and data references not yet supported".
Here is my code to extract a generic internal table from memory.

I have to create 50 profit centers in a company, I cannot find template to import profit centers in the DTW:
Is it possible?
Another way to use copy express, because these profit centers are in another B1 company, but I cannot find the possibility in the Copy Express to copy profit centers. Where can I find?

Their are no ways... Even by programming, no interface exists in the DI-API for this object.
Your only solution is either to create them from hand or by direct import in the DB (which I don't recommend).

Import Strings with "newline"-Symbol by DTW

I try to import data from excel (*.txt - Unicode) with "newline" in text-Strings ("/n") with DTW Tool into a TEXT fiels in SAP B1 DB (items).
SAP Icnore the "newline" - Symbol, after the import.
How can I format the text?

The forum that you have posted your question in is for the SAP Business One integration for SAP NetWeaver. Your question is with respect to the Data Transfer Workbench as you should post this in the SAP Business One Form on this portal.
With respect to your question ... you would need to import item quantaties as Inventory General Entries. There is a sample of this loacated at ..\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Data preparation examples\10. Testcase1_Test Data for Import function. The issue here is that by doing this you will also create General Ledger Transactions which you will then probably need to reverse.

Importing Multilanguage Translations with DTW

Hi,
My issue is to import multilanguage translations with DTW. The import itself works fine, the problem is to update.
The scenario is:
- some translations to an item A were imported
- now there are some translations in other languages, that should be imported to the item A
It should be possible, but i just can't get it..

How do I set the UserLanguagesObject?
I use two templates:
1.) MultiLanguageTranslations:
RecordKey = 1
Numerator = ACME Item
FeldAlias = ItemName
PrimaryKeyObject = A100
TableName = OITM
2.) TranslationsInUserLanguages:
RecordKey = 1
LineNum = (empty when import)
LanguageCode = 9
TranslationsContent = this is german
When updating i tried to add an additional row in the second template or i created a new template only with the new record, setting the LineNum to 1. It doesn't work.
Or did you mean, that in the import i have to set all language codes, even if without translationscontent?
