Importing iMovie DV clips into iMovie without QT Conversion

Question

I have made several 3 to 5 minute shorts in iMovie HD, I now want to merge them all together into one continuious feature, without the QT import parsing. The DV iMovie files render so much clearer than when I convert to quick time and import. I know I use to could do this in older versions of iMovie. Any suggestions?

I tried the control/click no joy
I always hesitate to give this information because it's possible to 'muck things up' if you aren't careful - when you Control-click on a package, you should see a menu that lets you select 'Show Package Contents'. This will open the package and you need to look for the reference movie. (If you want to 'explore', you might want to make a copy of a small iMovie project file, and the 'explore' the copy, not the original.)
Then instead of using iMovie to send feature to iDVD
I dragged the stored .iMovieProject into the drop
zone and it looks like I didn't loose any quality. I
have found by using iMovie to send completed projects
I loose quality, where as if I direct drop in IDVD
they quality seems better, it may just be my
imagination
If you have things like slideshows that need rendering, doing what you have done (or simply saying 'no' when iMovie asks if you want the files rendered befor being sent to iDVD) such files WILL look better.
