Importing iWeb solutions???

Have a big problem. I created a site for my work on iWeb due to our IT/webmaster's huge workload.
My work loves the site and wants it imported to our server, but they use Dreamweaver and are PC-specific across the board. Any way to import iWeb material to Dreamweaver? I'm supposed to manage the site on a weekly basis but do not have experience with PC-based web building and would much rather just use my iWeb on my Macbook somehow.
If anyone knows how to do this I would be indebted for life. I believe the idea was to just create a secure folder within our network or server and upload those files to the website address we choose. The reason they don't let me do it on my own is because my personal laptop isnt accesable to my employer and they want to have administrative control, access to this site I built, and keep our already swamped web manager from having to take any more responsibility.
Is there a solution?

You cannot import the iWeb file since it is Mac specific and does not include HTML anyway.
But since the published pages are standards-based webpages, you can open and edit them in any HTML of your/their choice.
I opened the pages in Dreamweaver 2004 and they look horrible in Design mode. But in HTML mode they are editable as any other page. Not really Mac or iWeb specific.
I read that the new Dreamweaver will have the Webkit rendering engine included. Hopefully the pages will then render as they should. [Link|http://www.tuaw.com/2008/05/29/tuaw-review-dreamweaver-cs4-beta>

  • What type of Business Processes can be imported in Solution Manager 7.1?

    Hello Together,
currently i deal with the topic: BusinessProcessMonitoring.
My question: what types of businessprocess can be imported in Solution manager 7.1?
    - exported processes out of the NetWeaverDeveloperStudio?
    - processes out of the CE?
    Some else....???
I would be happy about some answers.
    Thanks and kind regards
    Henry Radziwolek

    Hi Henry,
Today in Solman 7.1 onwards creation of business processes is really very and you can use the content upload interface which means you can upload the processes via excel file as well.
so you can download it from other system into a flat file and upload the same in solman to quickly do the same.
    http://sapinsider.wispubs.com/Assets/Blogs/2012/January/Introducing-Content-Upload-Interface-in-SolMan-7-dot-1
in terms of importing from another solman ...if you have a transport route ...definately you can create a TR and import the project with processes into your new solman system
or if it is Solution in another system then also you can use solution transfer function/feature to import it.
Also, if you are talking about Netweaver BPM tool this requires integration setup with solman (BPB) etc to do that like ARIS integration etc.
Integrate your Business Blueprint with SAP Netweaver BPM
    hope this helps you further.

  • Import of Solution Manager reference data to ARIS

    Hi all,
I would like to import SAP Solution Manager data to ARIS.
Is it possible to perform that simply importing a SolMan file including reference data to ARIS or do we need to create an interface between SolMan and ARIS?
We would like to do this in the most simple way as possible since it is for demo purposes only.
So if you have any idea please let me know.
    Thanks,
    //Anders

    Anders,
I have done similar demos in the past. based on my experience I am giving a quick step by step procedure for doing this.
Create Project in SAP Solution Manager and define system landscape by choosing the
SAP components based on the selected scenarios.
(ii) Analyze and Select the content from the Solution Manager BPR based on the
    finalized Scenarios/Processes.
(iii) Establish a Project Database on the ARIS Server and merge the As-Is Scenario/Process
from the existing ARIS DB into this.
(iv) Synchronize Solution Manager Project with ARIS and establish the link between
    ARIS Project DB and SolMan.
    (v) Perform analysis of the As-Is Process in conjunction with selected scenarios from Solution
Manager reference content and define the structure and scope.
(vi) Align the As-Is Process with the Reference Framework from Solution Manager and
    add/delete steps as required.
(vii) The Business process architecture is adapted to the SAP Reference Content aligned to the
structural layers of Solution Manager (Scenario, Process and Process Step).
(viii) Synchronize the Business flows created in ARIS  with Solution Manager and update
    structure on both ends.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if you need anyother information.

  • Can roadmap imported into Solution Manager

    Hi, friends:
i know there is HTML format roadmaps can be downloaded fron SMP.
can this /or other format imported into Solution Manger? and how?
    Br,
    Chrina

    Hi,
There is an ST-ICO support package that generally transports roadmaps and other Solution Manager content like BPR. It is however, may not be possible to import each and every roadmap separately. You need to check in which SP of ST-ICO, your required roadmap is released and then implement that in your target system. I hope it helps.

  • How t:  import iweb sites into go live?

seeking urgently a solution to fix my iweb created website to run on Microsoft IE as well.
Is it possible/ easy to import the iweb domain file into go live and then publish it with go live without deeper knowledge of go live?

Is it possible/ easy to import the iweb domain file
into go live and then publish it with go live without
    deeper knowledge of go live?
You can't use the iWeb Domain file with anything but iWeb.
You can probably edit published iWeb sites with GoLive and modify and save them. Whether that would make your site more acceptable to IE I have no idea. I don't think GoLive is a simple program. You can probably download a trial from Adobe and play with it and ask questions on the Adobe forums.

  • Import iweb site in a new macbook

hi, i'm french sorry for my english
so my macbook hard disk broked last week, i buy a new macbook pro
but how can i do to continue my web site with iweb09 ?
i have no data just on my idisk and iweb says "open problem with the file ....iweb/Domains.sites2.
    how can i do ?
    thanks

Welcome to the discussions. Only iWeb's Domain file can be opened in iWeb. See this Apple doc on How to back up MobileMe data. It says:
Any websites you have published with iWeb should still be available within iWeb. iWeb stores everything in a Domain file, normally located in the ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder (although it can be moved). If you no longer have this file, you can view your currently published pages and manually recreate them within iWeb, but there is no way to import published pages back into iWeb. You can manually back up the Domain file, or use Backup to back it up.
Paragraph 2.3 of this FAQ page gives some tips on how to use published files, graphics, photos, etc., to help rebuild the site from scratch:

  • Importing iWeb site to dreamweaver?

Is it possible to import my iWeb site to dreamweaver? I want to do this because i find that iWeb is too simplistic and i find the options are limited. To be honest all i want to do is put the website on dreamweaver and fiddle around with the HTML code and maybe do a couple of extra things. Anyway is it possible?

Publish the site to a folder and then open the published files in Dreamweaver.

  • Importing iWeb Blog to Blogger

It seems impossible to export my iWeb Blog feed and then import it to Blogger... are there any work arounds? iWeb has limitations that aren't good for the blog set up. I'd like to use it for something else and move my blog to blogger. Thanks in advance.

If you want to be able to transfer your blog comments from MobileMe to another blogging platform, there is more support for doing this via the Wordpress blog.

  • Importing iWeb site to my computer

Our website was created with iWeb '09 and published to our site via FTP. I need to be able to collaborate and edit the site also. Is it possible to download the site to my computer and import it into my iWeb '09 on my Macbook Pro? Or, is it possible for the original creator of the site to send me the iWeb file for importing to my iWeb? Thanks for any help on this issue.

The original creator should send you the domain file that is, by default, located in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb.
Make sure the file is given read & write permissions before transfer.
This file can be stored in the default location or a new folder. If the latter, double click the file to launch it in iWeb.

  • How do I import iWeb files from a different mac?

I have a black macbook from 2009.  The screen is shot.  That's the laptop I used to create my website.  Well, now I have a spanking new 27" iMac and I want to use that to work on my website.  I backed up the files to an external harddrive.  That works fine.  But when I open iWeb, I can't figure out how to get those files imported into iWeb so I can work on them and publish them.  Help!

If you used timemachine to restore from your macbook to your iMac you should be able to find your iWeb Domain file in your library/application support/iWeb folder.
the Library is hidden now in Lion.
Click on the desktop, then use the GO menu then, hold the "option" key on the keyboard.

  • Import iWeb project from Dropbox

I have recently rolled back my MBP from Mountain Lion to Snow Lepoard and reinstalled all the iLife programs. As such the iWeb project for me website no longer appears when I open the program. I was publishing the website via Dropbox and all the files are still there in my Public Dropbox folder.
Is there any way to re import the files (from Dropbox or the websit) and rebuild my Project in iWeb or do I have to start and re build my website from scratch..?
    Ped

Try doing a Spotlight search for Domain - or Domain.sites2 if you have file extensions turned on in Finder prefs.
If that doesn't locate it, try the freeware Find File...
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file
This will find files when Spotlight fails. If/when you find the file, double click it to launch it in iWeb.

  • Importing  Iweb website back to  my computer

My computer crashed and I lost all my website files
They are on .mac but I would like to get them back on my computer so I can edit them again with Iweb
This seems to be a problem, one can not import a website from .mac to iweb.
    What do I do now

I doubt that you will be able to import your site. If you do not have a back up of your domain file the only thing that I know to do is to rebuild from the starting point.
I know that is no consolation but at this point nobody is going to give you a better answer. Sorry!

  • Importing iWeb files from one computer to another

I have created a new website on my laptop and have my other sites on my desktop and want to transfer the site on my laptop to my desktop. I don't see where we can import files from one computer's files to another computer's files. Is there a way to do this?

    Mark:
You can copy the domain.sites2 file from the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder on your laptop to the Desktop of your desktop Mac, rename it to something like "site name.sites2", and put it in the iWeb folder with your other domain.sites2 file.
If you want to merge the sites in the two domain files into one new domain file you can do so with iWebSites.

  • Importing Managed solution into 2015

    Hi all,
We just went through an upgrade of our DEV and QA environment to 2015, and I am having problems importing one of our managed solution into our QA environment.
I have incremented the version number and the export from DEV works without any problems. When I look at the solution zip, it all looks good. All the changes (mainly JS files) are present. The import in QA also runs without errors.
When I use the application however, many (all?) of the javascript libraries did not get published and are not in use by the system.
Any ideas what is going on here?

I don't believe that is it unfortunately (I have seen that issue before).
The issue is with our custom libraries. In QA, I had version 1.1.0.0 of the solution installed. I updated with version 1.2.0.0, which included a new set of custom JS libraries. The import was successful (no errors and the version number of the solution in
    CRM now shows 1.2.0.0).
However, when I access the solution using a browser, I get served 1.1.0.0 libraries AND that is what I see when I open in CRM too.
The JS was correct in the solution file and the import seems to be successful. Where is the new Javascript?
