Importing Metadata from wsdl returns errors - (BODI-1112015)

I  am using DI 12.1 and am trying to create a web service data store.  I tried using both the native web service datastore type and the adapter for web services. Neither worked but I seemed to get further using the adapter.  When using the adapter I can see each of the operations in the service, but when I try to import the metadata for the operations I get an error BODI-1112015 with a message that the namespace is referenced without <import> declaration.  The wsdl does have an import reference corresponding to the schema so I do not understand the issue.  The referenced schema does import other schemas (could that cause problems?).
Thanks,
Paul

I will have to look at the WSDL to see why the import is failing. is this a Public WSDL ? if yes, can you give the URL
have you tried using the WSDL using some other tools like SoapUI ?

  • Importing metadata from other catalogs

    Can aperture import metadata from any programs except iPhoto? If not then is the only way to get data on old files into Aperture via embedded IPTC metadata? iView Media Pro and Extensis Portfolio can export metadata databases. I've got about 3000 keyworded photos in a Portfolio catalog - the keywords have not been embedded into the files and I was hoping to import the database into Aperture

    Aperture imported basic metadata (Byline, State, etc.) that I had entered on some jpegs. However, it did not import anything on the thousands of DNG's I imported. Also didn't import anything one several test CRW+xmp sidecar files.
    I'm guessing Aperture is taking the stance that the RAW files should never be modified... and if one follows that rule to the extreme, how would any RAW file have any IPTC metadata to import in the first place? So it doesn't bother to check for it, at least in my case.
    I'm guessing any program that has a scripting interface that accesses metadata fields will be able to be scripted so one can transfer metadata. They basically work like this:
    tell application Iview to get "city" metadata from "picture 1" and put this metadata in "city" metadata in "picture 1" in application Aperture.
    This obviously isn't correct syntax, but there is no reason why you couldn't ask for a specific field of metadata from one program and store it in a completely different field, thus making up your own "custom" mapping. For example, you could ask for the "city" in one program and map it to the "Byline" in another program, if both programs expose these fields and the ability to read/write to them via Applescript.

  • Problems when trying to import metadata from SQL server using OWB

    Hi,
    We are using Oracle 11.2 EE on AIX and OWB: 11.2. We are in the process testing Oracle Transparent gateway for SQL Server and have installed and configured it on a standalone windows server. We and have run the ORACLE_HOME\dg4msql\admin\dg4msql_cvw.sql on SQL Server side, in order to query the SQL-Server data dictionary. We have created a DB-link and can pull data correctly without any problems. When trying to import metadata in OWB Client on win xp, we have created a non-oracle SQL Server Module and are able to connect and start the import, but the displayed table names look strange and can not be imported. In front of every letter there is a square box, so instead of ADDRESS (the address table in the source system) , it reads "squarebox"A"squarebox"D"squarebox"D"squarebox"R"squarebox"E"squarebox"S"squarebox"S and subsequently the import fails with :API0413: Illegal name [<tablename>] Name with preceding and trailing spaces is not allowed.
    The gateway have been configured with the following parameters:
    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO=<connect string>
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=OFF
    HS_FDS_RECOVERY_ACCOUNT=RECOVER
    HS_FDS_RECOVERY_PWD=RECOVER
    HS_LANGUAGE=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252
    Any ideas ?
    This topic has been posted in the Heterogenious Forum as well, but as the problem is within OWB, I also post it here.
    Thanks in advance!
    Henrik
    Edited by: he**** on Nov 15, 2011 1:29 PM

    Henrik,
    I've found other problems where OWB adds a space between all characters returned from SQL*Server which is what is happening in your case, although it is being displayed as a square box.
    In one of these cases the problem was fixed by using the 11.2.0.2 OWB so would it be possible for you to try with that version ?
    Also, as the problem is not with the gateway itself as you can select successfully using a database link then it would be better to follow up in the OWB forum -
    Forum: Warehouse Builder
    Warehouse Builder
    as they will be able to help with the OWB side of the problem.

  • How to import metadata from hyperion essbase11.1.2.2 remote server

    Hi all experts ,
    I am trying to create a rpd into obiee 11.1.1.6 from a VMWARE based hyperion essbase machine,
    I am able access its console via url on my remote machine but not able to connect with essbase server via admin tools essbase connection to import metadata of essbase.
    The os are different, OBIEE on 64 bit win 7 ultimate and hyperion essbase 11.1.2.2 on windows server 2003 64 bit enterprise, inside vm ware.
    Thanks in advance

    thanks for the reply, but MY os is win 7 awhere I am not able to install hyperion essbase 11.1.2.2 client.
    both the ARBORPATH and ESSBASEPATH are not available with this release, as they are coming with 9.3.1 and 11.1.3
    the link http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/hyp/OBIEE11g-Essbase/index.htm
    is about with OBIEE 11.1.1.5 and Hyperion 11.1.2.1,
    MY versions are different as OBIEE 11.1.1.6 adn Hyperion 11.1.2.2 .
    so in this case if any user who want to access essbase 11.1.2.2 database on OBIEE 11.1.1.6 with WIN 7 or XP platform will not able to do this,
    I tried to run the install essbse client tool using hyperion 11.1.2.2 install tool cmd . but it fails with prerequisited,
    can you please suggest me any other with get connected or to install essbase client 11.1.2.2.

  • JAXWS Webservice from WSDL - Compilation errors in schemas

    Hello,
    I am creating a webservice (Java EE1.5 JAX-WS ) from wsdl .
    When I build the artifacts in JDeveloper, I get few compilation errors related to schemas.
    Error(5412,31): com.service.gsrl.FingEvntType.FINGEVNTENTR.ROLEPLYR is already defined in com.service.gsrl.FingEvntType.FINGEVNTENTR
    •     GSRL_Vers7_Rls21.xsd and DALGSRLService.wsdl both define a ROLE_PLYR and FINGEVNTENTR element.
    There could be a conflict when mapping this to Java class names.
    Not sure if there is a way around in JAX-WS and if this is a bug.
    Any one faced this ort of issue? How to resolve this??
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    There are few problems with your WSDL
    1. targetNamespace in schema section is missing trailing '/', it should be 'http://10.25.98.19:8080/dart/'
    2. in portType section 'fault' element is missing 'wsdl:' prefix, it should be '<wsdl:fault>'
    3. in binding section type is wrong, it should be 'tns:DartServicesImpl'
    4. Also fault element is wrongly defined in binding section it should be
    <wsdl:fault name="DARTException">
    <soap:fault name="DARTException" use="literal"/>
    </wsdl:fault>
    Hope this helps.

  • Import metadata from existing sidecars?

    Aperture 3 can import metadata created in Bridge/Lightroom from sidecar files when importing images.
    However is there a way to import the metadata contained in sidecar files for referenced images converted from an Aperture 2 library to an Aperture 3 library?
    The metadata contained in sidecars is not picked up during the the conversion process. It is only recognised when importing.

    William
    My images, mostly Nikon raw NEF files go back to 2000. I added extensive metadata using Bridge and Lightroom before acquiring Aperture in 2008 (Aperture would not run on my previous G4). After an initial flush of enthusiasm I became a little disenchanted with Aperture and continued to do most of my work in Bridge/Camera Raw/Lightroom.
    Now that Aperture 3 has bridged many of the gaps I am again flushed with enthusiasm. Considering the AP3 can read the metadata in existing sidecars on import, I have been hoping that there would be a way to read that same metadata after import as can be done in Lightroom with Save/Read Metadata.
    I understand that adjustments will never be interchangeable between these programs.
    Yes I have tried Metadata>Update from Master. That does not read the metadata in the sidecars.

  • Importing metadata from XMP sidecar files into Aperture 2.0?

    Has anybody found a way to to do this? It appears that the metadata stored in the XMP sidecar files created by Photoshop and Bridge is ignored by Aperture when it imports images. That is pretty much a show stopper when it comes to using Aperture for asset management.

    The XMP import capability is limited to metadata/IPTC type info - NOT ACR adjustments and such - those values are specific and make no sense to Aperture. This is true in reverse as well - ACR/Bridge/LR/NX2, etc, etc may pickup IPTC type metadata from XMP or embedded values but NO software will translate adjustment values from another piece of software that are stored ad metadata.

  • Importing Metadata from PowerDesigner into OBIEE 11g

    Hi, I've digging for any information without success so far. I'm a Co-op student, so forgive me if this a naive question. I have to import some metadata from our Data Modelling software: it has the descriptions in a business level to all facts, tables and important objects. I want to import this so the user can just hover the mouse on the Criteria objects and be aware of what that object really means.
    I could do it manually through RPD, by just writing down on the description field what I wanted to show on the front-end. My research showed me that there is a XML file that I have to create, which I did, by extracting the information I need from PowerDesigner.
    I really appreciate your help.

    Hello,
    You can put those 60 users in a group say OBIEE_Users and use this group in All Users Filter in WLS.
    User Base DN : DC=CORP,DC=NET
    All user Filter : (&(memberof=CN=OBIEE_Users,OU=BIUsers,DC=CORP,DC=NET)(cn=*)(objectclass=user))
    User from name filter : (&(cn=%u)(objectclass=user))
    Refer to this example on how its configured : http://paulcannon-bi.blogspot.com/2012/07/configuring-ldap-authentication-for.html
    Hope this helps. Please mark if it does.

  • How to export/import metadata from bw 7.0 to 7.4

    Hi guys!
    We want to move from BW 7.0 to BW 7.4 but the scenario we are considering is:
    Installation of BW 7.4 in a new server without copying all the models of BW 7.0. At the beginning, we want to copy only a couple of models from 7.0 and keep BW 7.0 as productive server running in paralell.
    I saw in a SAP Webinar this scenario is possible if the metadata of the objects are transported from 7.0 to 7.4 but they don´t explain how to do that.
    Could you tell me how to copy the model metadata from 7.0 to 7.4?
    Any other suggestion? or What is the best way to do that?
    Thanx in advance.
    Jesus Valero

    Dinesh, Thank you very much for the answer.
    If I'm understanding, what you are suggesting is to connect the transport system between bw 7.0 and bw 7.4 and then copy the objects betwwen bw version?
    I'm trying of clarify because my basis team told me that connecting transport system between 7.0 and 7.4 is not possible but I can undestand the basis team answer due to lack of experience.
    Or, What you mean is a kind of work around using transport system?
    I really appreciate your help
