Importing movie to Flash 8 and error message appears
I have tried to import a movie into Flash 8 and the message appears "The operation could not be completed as an error has occurred". It will not pu the movie on to the stage. Do you think there is something wrong with the movie file or am I missing a step? This is what I do:
1) open a new flash file
2) file - import video
3) browse to find the movie file and then click next
4) Click the option 'progressive download from a web server'
5) I dont change any of the default settings and I don't want a skin on it
6) It runs through like it is making the file and then the message appears "The operation could not be completed as an error has occurred".
Any ideas what I am doing wrong??

Now that I have restored my pc to the time before installing Autodesk, the
import facility now works again.
If you have installed programs that you do not really need, the best thing
to do is either uninstal them, or restore your computer through the control
panel. If you do need them you could try using another flash encoding
program, encode it through that and then open the file in your flash
program.
There is also a program called "Super" that enables flash encoding. It
sounds good, and I am going to check it out as it is a freeware.

I too have very little knowledge in computers, but I like the creative side
of using flash.

I have tried a few things but iTunes closes right after i click okay. Anyone know anything?Look in your Home > Music folder. There should be an iTunes folder there and it should have a number of files and folders including one called library.itl You want to guide iTunes to that file. If you don't see that file or folder then in your next post you will have to be very specific as to what you do see or how you have your iTunes set up because that's where it should be according to default settings.

Screen will start to pixelate and error message appears to restart
I have a iMac G5 17". It will boot up, apple start up screen, Mac OS X screen, and then finally Desktop. but about 20 seconds the screen will start to pixelate and kinda "wig out" then it will tint a dark grey and a error message in multiple languages will appear saying " Push the power button to restart". at this moment the screen is completely frozen. all I can do it power it off.
What could this be? Maybe a bad hard drive? Screen? Power source?Hi...

Finder jumping up and down, icons flashing and error message
Hi guys,
I upgraded from Lion to Yosemite a couple of days ago. Since then I'm finding that the problem I am having is called a Finder Crash Loop ! (can you tell that I'm not very technically minded !?) I've Googled this problem and all I can find are suggestions to Terminals and lots of strange coding that I don't understand. I did use Dolly Drive a while ago and I'm finding some suggestions that this could be causing the problem. Would anybody be able to give me an 'Idiots Guide' as to how to solve the problem. As it stands I'm unable to open Finder while the icon is jumping around !

SalgirlHave you uninstalled Dolly Drive using the developer's uninstall instructions?
Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Re-launch Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

OK Error code - 2125 usually indicates that the movie is to large.
It use to pop up when going to iDVD !
iDVD - DO NOT CARE ABOUT Gbs at all. I got movies on 500Mb that do not fit and 50Gb that fits nicely.
iDVD - ONLY CARES ABOUT - Duration. Duration is Movie time + MENU TIME. Choice of
menu and animation of this can take lost of "DURATION" 15 minutes or even more.
Choice of encoding method and use of SL or DL DVDs determine the DVD limit.
iDVD 08 & 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities.
iDVD 6 has the two last ones
• Professional Quality (movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST
• Best Performances (movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD
• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6) (movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
DL DVDs can store about double of these times.
ALTERNATIVE - The Error Code can indicate that free space on Start-up (BOOT) hard disk is
less than 25Gb (my minimum)

If you are getting OSStatus error -2125, I've seen this caused by the computer display sleep settings.
Try changing the sleep settings to never and see if you are able to export.

Bought Lion online, downloaded, when finished an error message appeared and 3,7GB vanished... Anyone with a similar experience???
All I know is that once it is installed it is erased, the Lion Installer is erased from the applications folder.
You won't have to pay for it again if you have to download again. Remember to move it out of the applications folder, then you can trash it when you are ready or even burn a startup DVD.

Movie fully downloaded but unable to view. Un known error message appears
I fully downloaded a movie rental in HD, however, when I wanted to view it an unknown error message appeared saying that there was an error in the iTunes store, and to try again later, which I have done multiple times with the same result each time. I downloaded the movie in both HD and SD but the result was the same with either one. I cannot figure out what is wrong. Anyone else have this experience?

Can anyone help me connect my Macbook Air to a SAMSUNG TV. When I follow the basic instructions (Thunderbolt to HDMI connection) the screen on my computer goes grey and an error message appears inviting me to press any button to restart the Macbook. When I do this nothing happens. Only when I disconnect the computer from the TV does the Macbook allow me to login. The TV does not receive any signal from the Macbook even though I know the HDI port works fine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Do I need to enable something on the Macbook?
An update...
I downloaded Apple's (rather large!) list of software updates today, and I was finally able to recognize my iPod again. I did a restore using the iPod updater from 06-2006, and all seemed to work OK. (I'm afraid to try the new one again!)
Then I tried to re-load my music library from iTunes, and got stuck. It froze up after a while and wouldn't go any further.
When I disconnected my iPod from my computer, I find 2 podcasts and nothing else, though iTunes told me it had transferred 600+ songs. Those 2 podcasts do play fine, and the basic iPod software all seems to be intact.
So -- anyone get through this connection problem and have any ideas to share??

please help i need to fix my itunes it will not launch on my computer . no error message appears it simply will not run. the icon on desktop has changed to a white folder and it still appears in programmes in start menu but will not open. it appears in task manager but disappears when the programme will not open
You music etc should not be affected by problems with the iTunes program, nevertheless it is always a good idea to backup your data.
You haven't said if there was any error message when you tried to start iTunes. If there was one please give it in full.
Also check to see if QuickTime works, iTunes can not work without it. If QuickTime doesn't work, it has to be fixed before worrying about iTunes.
Then restart your PC and open your Task manger and select the Processes tab.
Try to start iTunes, does iTunes.exe appear on the processes tab? If so does it disappear again or remain although the programs does not open? -
My iTunes opens fine if it is the first time I have opened it since turning my computer on. If I close iTunes, however, it won't open again unless I restart my computer. No error message appears. Clicking on both the shortcut and file in iTunes folder does nothing. I unistalled iTunes and reinstalled it but the issue hasn't gone away. A virus scan has come up with nothing. I would appreciate any ideas that might help to fix this issue.
Having the same problem - am running Win 7 Pro 32 bit. Discovered that when you close iTunes task manager shows that iTunes.exe is still running and will not close unless you reboot. I have also found that after starting Win 7 that if I launch iTunes by inserting a CD, the CD plays and displays all tracks correctly. However, if I eject the CD and insert a different one neither Win 7 or iTunes recognises the CD. These problems seem to have started with the release of 10.5.2 - prior to that no problems at all. Have tried reinstalling and it does not make any difference.
