Importing multiple sequences from Premiere (CS3)

I've got the hang now of exporting a timeline to Encore to add the DVD menus etc. But is there an easy was of exporting a lot of timelines in one go from premiere into encore without having to export 1 at a time ?
Thanks

I created a tutorial for frameserving from Premiere to Encore so that you don't have to do an intermediate render.

  • Encore CS3 Is Stuck Importing As Timeline from Premiere CS3

I just purchased CS3 as an upgrade from CS2 and Exported to Encore from Premiere CS3. I've gotten to the screen that says Importing at Timeline and have been at 49% progress for over 30 minutes. The .m2V, .m2v.xmpses, .wav, and .xmp files were all created but I'm stuck here with the Import.
I'm running on a Windows XP SP2, 4 GB RAM, 2 Dual Core processors machine. I loved CS2. It worked great but there have been multiple problems with CS3.
    Please help with Encore.
    Thanks

This is aimed a Premiere Pro, but may help - First, work through the steps here http://ppro.wikia.com/wiki/Troubleshooting
If your problem isn't fixed, report back with the DETAILS asked for in the 15 questions at the end of that link... for question #1 you may use the FREE http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

  • Exporting multiple sequences from Premiere with Match Sequence Settings...

If I individually select a sequence in Premiere and Export Media I have the option of checking Match Sequence Settings but with multiple sequences selected the option goes away. So I have to individually select the sequence, check the Match Sequence Settings box and add to the queue for every. darn. sequence. All I want is to export multiple sequences to Media Encoder with Match Sequence Settings (or add multiple sequences to the Media Encoder queue, same thing). Am I missing something? This seems like it would be used a lot...

For PC users, of which I am one, the Preview Render codec in the Sequence is usually MPEG so best to avoid it. If you can actually use ProRes, then it's understandable that you'd want to "Match Sequence" if possible.

  • Transitions don't work after importing a project from Premiere to AE

I've imported a project from Premiere CS3 to AE CS3 and all my transition (fade + wipes) are now solids and they don't work on timeline or on exports, but they still show in my sequence.
How can I make AE use those transition again so I don't have to go through all project and keyframe transitions.
Notice that I use Cineform and that those transition are Cineform's one; hope that doesn't cause the problem since AE uses CF too.
Thnak you for your time and interest in my problem.

Exactly the problem. AE is only to able to translate a few transitions, which include the normal cross-disolve, linear wipe, dip-to-color and a few others, but since those routines are hard-coded in the Premiere Pro Importer, they have no way f doing the same for third-party products. So more or less you will have to rebuild your stuff, either by using the proper transitions in PPro or in AE.

  • How best import a sequence from PP2.0

What is the best method to import one sequence from a project with many sequences in PP2.0? Do you need to import the sequence and all of it's assets (music, sound effects, clips) that are in the project panel, or just the sequence itself? I'm not sure how to do this. I want one of a dozen sequences to import into Encore, but not the other sequences. Should I export the sequence as a move/ISO?
    Thanks!

Encore can't import a Premiere sequence. It will only import assets - DVD compliant MPEG files, or DV AVI files.
My preferred method is to export out of Premiere as DV AVI, and let Encore do the transcoding. I like it's Automatic setting.

  • Importing keyboard shortcuts from PS CS3 into CS4?

Is it possible to import keyboard shortcuts from PS CS3 into CS4?
    And how?
    m

Mmh, you could possibly simply copy over the respective files from your preset directory (Documents and Settings/Matjaz/Application Data/Adobe/Photoshop CS3/Presets/Keyboard Shortcuts). Not sure if it's safe, though. Never tried.

Is it possible to import a title from Premiere Pro into AfterEffects?

    Thank you,

You can render the title out of Premiere Pro as a movie and bring it into After Effects as a video file. Titles aren't automatically converted when you copy and paste from Premiere Pro to After Effects or use Dynamic Link to send something to After Effects.

  • Can I import a menu from Premiere elements 7(the Popcorn menu) into Encore CS4?

Can I import a menu from Premiere elements 7(the Popcorn menu) into Encore CS4?
If so how do I accomplish this act?
Are their additional menus available for Encore CS4?

The Menus in PrE are in Menu Sets. Each set is a Main Menu and a Scene Selection Menu. As PrE does the authoring semi-automatically, there are many "extras" in those PSD's, in the Button Layer Sets. All you have to do is make a Copy of your two Menus into a separate folder, so that you do not worry about messing up your Menu Sets in PrE. I'd do this in a new sub-folder in the Encore Library folder hierarchy. Then, Open each of these two Menus in PS. Go in and clean out all of the other languages for the Text and Button Text. Match the Layer Set/Button Layer Set names to those naming conventions in the Encore Library Menus, as you will not be getting any semi-automation. Where you do not need, say a Next Button, just eliminate that Button's Layer Set. Remember, PrE will do this semi-automatically, plus will give you the number of Scene Selection Menus, that your Project calls for - Encore will not. You must count the Scenes, divide by the number of Buttons on that Scene Selection Menu, and do Copies of that Menu, to accommodate what you require.
As for Encore, it comes with a full compliment of Menus, Buttons, and other Assets, like EM files (Templates), with Motion and Audio Assets. All can be completely customized in PS. Note: in PSElements, I do not believe that you can create Layer Sets, so that will be a limitation. The full PS has no limitations, with the single exception that to change Button Sub-picture Highlight colors, this must be done in Encore's Menu Editor, unless it's been added to PS CS5.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - remember, work on Copies of the two Menus in the PrE Menu Set, and NOT on the originals, or you will be doing a Repair Install to get those back.

  • Render quality drops when importing sequences from Premiere Pro CS4

    Hello,
I have both AE and Premiere Pro CS4, and, because my Media Encoder doesn't work (a common problem, apparently), I import my sequences into AE to render. However, I've noticed a marked drop in quality in the sequence when imported into AE as opposed to when it's in Premiere Pro. It's comparable to a "Full" dropping to a "Half" when changing preview render quality in AE. What am I doing wrong? Is there some simple way to match the quality of the AE Comp (that has the PP sequence in it) to what the original Premiere Pro project has? Should I not be putting the PP project into a new comp in AE before I render it out? Is there another way that can retain the quality of the original Premiere Pro project?
This is urgent, as I need this rendered by Monday. Any help would be appreciated! Obviously, this is the first major project I've done this "workaround" with. I wish AME worked, but it doesn't for me.
    Thanks!

By default, the Ram preiew resolution is adaptative and not full quality, as it's just to "preview". You can switch this behavior to full quality, and by default, when you render, it will always be "Full quality" before being compressed by your output module.
You can check the Ram preview doc and the rendering doc from the AE help.
    Hope that helps,
    Seb

  • Exporting from Premiere CS3 to Encore CS3

Hi all, I wonder if anybody has the answer for this. I have been really excited about the new feature that lets us export from a Premier timeline and open straight into an Encore project.
But what I want to know is, is it possible to perform this type of export for multiple sequences or timelines so they all open in the same encore project?
What I am doing at the moment requires 2 films on one authored disc. I am currently exporting straight to Encore which creates a new project each time, closing the unused projects tghen importing the exported video into my main Encore project manually.

More of a Premiere question, but no, it's not possible to do this with multiple sequences.
Instead, let Premiere create the Encore project for you from one sequence, then export your extra sequences to AVI or MPEG-2/H.264 from Premiere and import them as assets into Encore, where you can then add them to timelines and link to them.

  • I'm trying to import a sequence into premiere pro and suddenly a few sections are 'media offline'

I'm trying to import a previous premiere pro sequence into premiere pro and suddenly a few sections are 'media offline' (it has always worked up until now).  I would be able to relink the clips but the offending ones aren't showing up in the project's clip bin. To make things worse I can't drag and drop the corresponding clips from my finder into the clips bin and then 'replace clip with' in the timeline, as the clips in the project have been renamed, and are synced up to audio (this is a 90 minute feature film).
    Can anyone help??!!

Right click on the offline clips and select Reveal in Project.  This will call up the bin they're in, where you'll be able to relink.

  • Exporting sequence from Premiere CC to Audition CC opens completely wrong clips in multitrack

I export my sequence from PP and Audition opens 100% incorrect video and audio!  Nothing is the right clip, totally wrong files are being opened.  I have no clue at all what is going on.  Can anyone help?
Footage is DV PAL.  Audio is single stereo audio file (made in Audition CC) on dialogue track and single stereo music track, both 48KHz 16bit. All audio is going into Audition at 0db with no effects (ie untampered).
I've done plenty of other mixes with the same project in different sequences with no problem at all (starting in CS6 and now working in CC - it's a feature film project with many tracks and over an hour long).  The primary feature mixdown has been done and worked beautifully last week.  Now I'm working on a trailer which is only 3 minutes long, using the rendered movie as my primary source, so it should be quite simple.
I have had a look at the xml (of which I only have the most basic understanding) and the document clearly references completely wrong files, so I think you are right and it's a PP issue rather than Audition, which just seems to be fed crap to start with!
    My specs are:
    Mac Pro 5,1 - 6 Core 3.33GHz
    48GB RAM
    GTX 680 Mac
    OSX 10.8.5
    Adobe CC - up-to-date
playout via Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 (FW400)
    Thanks for any help!
    Dominic
    PS
This is a copy of a thread I started in the AUdition forum but was advised to ask here instead.

Not a direct reply to your question but...
I have only exported video to Audition as a reference track- preferring to use the PP timeline for the master export.  I somehow feel it's less prone to image quality loss (codec dependent!)
To that end, I add the imported Audition mix-down either as a single or multiple stems, depending upon the project requirements,  and place them in sync in the original timeline.

  • Export from Premiere CS3 Dimmed.

I just installed Premiere CS3. I've compiled a simple sequence of about 200 jpegs and I'm trying to export them to Encore to burn the little show on DVD. The "Export to Encore" option is dimmed in the export menu. I have ran the sequence through the media encoder according to the tutorial on the Adobe website. What I am doing wrong?

If you installed from a download, so you don't have an install DVD, read the FAQ article

  • Transferring Sequences from Premiere CC to AME CC takes FOREVER!

In Premiere CS6 I could drag hundreds of sequences from a Premiere project bin to the Media Ecoder interface and they would load in seconds. In CC it literally take 30 seconds or more per sequences.
Am I seriously the only one experiencing this? Adobe doesn't really seem to care as no one ever responds to my queries to them.
    Anyone???

No, its not just you! Ive also got a super high end system and today needed to re-render out a bunch of sequences, replacing the intro and out, simple stuff. When I drag the 120 sequences over to AME with the proper destination folder and preset already defined correctly, the thing sits and then crashes, every time. I can do about 20 at a time, but every one of those takes much too long to load up into AME. Using the ctrl-m dialog makes a single sequence queue up faster once I click the queue button, but that only proves that something is wrong with the drag and drop, as there is obviously a serious TIME SAVER when I need to export a bunch of sequences at once.
Adobe, IF you cant fix the drag and drop, then add the ability to select multiple sequences in project, and then export movie and apply the settings in the dialog to all, gray out the export now button if you have to so only queue is possible with batch...
Paul, submit a real bug report using their system if you have time, its what Im always told in the end.
Lets get this memory issue sorted out in the batch export sequence to AME FIXED tomorrow!

  • How to import effect plugins from Premiere Pro CC to Premiere Pro CC 2014

Many of the Premiere Pro CC plugins I've been using since subscribing have disappeared from the effects panel in Premiere Pro CC 2014. For example, under Video Transitions/3D Motion, the only two listed are Cube Spin and Flip Over. None of the others are listed. I tried importing the Factory Presets.prfpset file from CC into CC 2014, but that didn't do anything. How can I import the effect plugins into CC 2014? Thanks.
