Importing of Material

Dear Experts,
My problem is related to Importing the Material and Custom duty through GRPO. How to add the GRPO entry with the Bill of entry scenario. How I can pass the entry of Importing the material through custom duty of Bank or Custom duty by DEPB.If any one has any idea about the importing of Material please suggest me.

Import of material groups into hierarchy not possible (note 432339)

Dear All,
I am trying to replicate material groups (DNL_CUST_PROD1) from R3 system. Prior to this our SRM system configured as standalone and Material Hierarchy is already defined. When I am trying to replicate the material groups in SMQ2 I am receiving status as "sysfail" and further I am getting above message. In the message the OSS note also mentioned. In the OSS note they have given following solution
Error message "Import of material groups into hierarchy &1 not possible":
In transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT, you specify that the hierarchy specified in the error message is to be used for application 'Purchasing' (02). This means that the material groups would be created in this hierarchy. Delete this setting in Transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT. If hierarchy R3MATCLASS already exists, assign
hierarchy R3MATCLASS to application 'Purchasing'. Then the material groups are created in hierarchy R3MATCLASS. If you want to import the material groups into the hierarchy specified in the error message, you can also keep this hierarchy
assigned to application 'Purchasing' and deactivate the error message. Error message "Import of material types into hierarchy &1 not possible". You can do this in Customizing under 'Customer Relationship Management -> Master data -> Basic settings -> Define system message characteristics'.
My problem is I am not able to find out the path given in the OSS note ( i.e, Customer Relationship Management u2013 Master data) . Any one can help me in this regard ?

Materialized view:Aggregate table are called as Materialized view/opaque View
Steps to create Materialized view/opaque View
Physical layer itself by creating view.
Right click on the your RPD physical table -> Select Properties -> from the properties windows choose 'Select' as Table type -> here you can write the SQL query.
Note:Make Sure 'Features' tab and from the available option select 'CREATE_VIEW_SUPPORTED' is checked or not. If it is not checked then check the option.

Importing the material directly to Depot through Import PO

Hello,
We are Importing the material directly to Depot.
We are directly procuring material to Depot through Import PO.
We are creating the Import PO from Depot with Inventrising Conditions , then we will go for MIRO for Customs,
We are cleared the Customs through MIRO
While GO for MIGO to Create RG23D entry, system is not Popup the Commercial Inv no ,so in MIGO we are not getting any duties.
Plz can you suggest how to go for Import the materail in Depot with Import PO.

Importing of material revaluation using DTW problem

Hello,
I tried to import a material revaluation using DTW because i want to make amendment in cost price so i use the 2 templates (material revaluation & material Revaluation_lines). Uploading was successful because i received this message "75oMaterialRevaluation" however i've checked in TEST database but still the original cost price didnt change. Please can you advise me on this? See the details below

Try two changes:
DocEntry should be blank. Linenum should be 0 to start.

Automatic import of material data (csv file) from FTP directory

Hello Experts,
We created a Scheduled Task -> Data Import Monitor -> from a FTP directory.
We loaded the .csv file with material data in the FTP folder but it is not getting imported.We have created the .csv file with the format of fields defined in Company quick start Work book -> Material tab. We also tried with a .csv file having first Field as CLASS_NAME with a value of masterdata.Material and rest of the fields same as defined in the Company quick start-Materials Tab still it did not work.
When we load the .xls work book in FTP directory (xl having the Configuration tab and Material tab) the data import is working fine and the data is getting loaded automatically from the data import monitor job.
Is there any specific format of .csv file in which the material data needs to be loaded to the FTP server for automatic import of data using Scheduled task?

Are there any errors appearing in the FPA logs?
Have you checked the permissions on the folder/file that you are uploading from?
What type of scheduled task have you created?

Import purchase Material Invoice Problem

Dear All,
In Import Purchasing after GR Itried to post the Material Vendor Invoice with referance to Delivery Note no,But in MIRO item level system not capturing the GR Qty and Value.That two field is Empty.
Then I tried to post with referance to PO ,But in the Pop-Up Box Material Import Vendor Code not appearing.can Anybody tell me the reason?

Please be confirmed in above screen of MIRO there is transaction here did you select invoice and above layout there is one more selection did you select here Goods/Service items.

Importing of material master from SAP to MDM

Hi all
we are working for a scenario where we need to import data from SAP R/3 to MDM using IDoc and XI.MDM already provides standard T codes for collective generation of IDocs for vendor and customer master( what i mean is single IDoc is generated for a selection of mastres) but no such option is there for material master.
This means in the READY folder in case of material we will have say 1000s of xml files in case we are importing 1000 records from R3.
What is the way out??It becomes difficult to import all files one by one.What are different options we have?

Go to the transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR.
Select Extraction Object:MATERIAL_EXTRACT
Give Target sytem ( XI Sytem)(This should create with SALE transactio, ALE IDOC Settings)
Distribution Mode:I
Create a variant for this and save
Come to the same transacction again, select the saved variant.
Press ENTER button
Click 'Start Extraction ' button.
Then this program will send all the material from SAP R/3 system to the target system.

Importing picture material from Adobe Lightroom

Dear iBook Author Community,
I am creating quite some photo and textual content materila and intend to start my own series of iBooks just now. In order to enhance user experience for my travle photo collections, I intend to import my photo material to iBooks Author directly fromout Adobe Lightroom. Does anybody out there have an answer on how this might work?

Not all dng-formats are compatible with Aperture. If you cannot import the dng, use the software that came with your camera. Afaik, the Leica Vlux-4 digital camera comes with Lightroom. You could develope the raw with LIghtroom to tiff and import the tiff to Aperture, until Apple - hopefully - will provide raw support for the Leica Vlux-4.

Importing p2 material

I am trying to import (log and transfer) some material shot on a fs-100 disk.
It is dv/dvcam format, but it will not show up in the log and transfer window. I have organize p2'd it before importing, as usual.
This has worked before, and I don't understand why it shouldn't now...
Any ideas?

"organize P2" is a function on the firestore disk that preps the footage in a folder hierarchy that conforms to P2 format. without that step on the firestore you'll never get the footage unwrapped. for those who neglect this step and copy the contents to an external disk, the only fix is to get hold of a firestore, copy the material back to it (painfully slow) then "organize P2" then copy that back (your master backup) then import or log and transfer.

Importing HDV material error message

This is my workflow. I have shot some footage with my Sony z1 in 1080/50i (I work on the PAL format). I want to down convert this with my camera and edit in FCP 5.0.4. I am using a Power Mac g5 quad. How should I import this into fcp? What should my sequence presents be if I want to down convert from HDV (in camera) to SD? Right now, I am using the easy set up 1080i50. When I go to log and capture, I can't import any footage! Its says VTR ok and I can play the footage with my camera connected via firewire but when I hit capture now I get an error message saying that "capture now had to abort because no data was being sent." Please help

FCP 4.5 does NOT support HDV as HDV was released quite a while after 4.5. You'll need FCP 5.0 or higher to work with HDV. DVCPro HD is not the same as HDV at all.

*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows.*
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disk is untidy. Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Garageband-fix. Start it, Play a note and Close it. Re-try (Corrects an audio problem that hinders iMovie)
• Delete iMovie pref file - or rather start a new user/account - log into this and re-try
iMovie pref file resides.
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences and is named. com.apple.iMovie.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08 or 09)
• Program miss-match. iMovie 5.0.2, up to Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK
• Program miss-match. iMovie 6.0.3 or 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• Program miss-match. iMovie’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)

From LKN 1935. (in this case = iMovie HD (5), I tried it all, but nothing worked.
Your answer (above) has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that
there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled
iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos)
to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before.

Importing HDV Material in Final Cut Pro 4.5

I'm using Final Cut Pro HD (4.5), quite an old version,
and I want to import HDV footage, shot with a "SONY HDR-HC7E" camera.
Is it possible?
Are there any settings to use?
In the "easy settings" section, I see there is DVCPRO HD, but I guess it's not the same thing.... or is it?
I'm not an expert.

I have 8mm family footage now on a DVD how can I import this material into imovie

Can anyone help I have old 8mm footage of the family which is now on a DVD how can I import this onto imovie?

You need to convert the DVD .VOB files. This can be done with Apps like Handbrake or I prefer MPEG Steamclip.
Basically what you do is insert the DVD into the drive. If DVD Player opens, quit the player. Then double click the DVD on the desktop. There you will find a folder called Video_TS. The .VOB files are there. You do not need the Audio_TS files or Folder. So what ever App you use, point them to that Folder and convert them to highest quality conversion.
One thing to point out though about MPEG Streamclip, you need to have Quicktime 7 installed and additionally you need a file called QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component. Make sure you read about it at the Squared 5 website under "Requirements". It may sound like alot of work, but once you set it up MPEG Streamclips works nice.
Hope that gets you started.
Additionally, if you have another machine around with Leopard or earlier, you may already have the MPEG-2 Playback Component. It would be located in /Library/Quicktime folder.

Importing DVD material to FCP??

Hi,
I am editing a wedding video for someone but the only format they have the footage in is a burned DVD (vob files and the like)...How can I import this into FCP? I tried downloading the program DVDxDV, which converts DVD's into quicktime files and it works fine on my computer, but whenever I import the converted file into FCP and then burn it onto a DVD (to view it on a television) the quality is terrible (choppy and shaky). I don't have a DV deck, but is my last resort to get one and copy all of the footage onto miniDV tapes and then re-import them into FCP via a deck? Is there any other way to go about it?

WEll, you are taking an MPEG2, truning it into a QT and then recompressing into MPEG2 again. Not a good workflow for preservation of image quality. If you have to do it this way, there's not much you can do about it. The technology is what it is...
