Importing Oracle Designer Processes into BPEL Designer

Hello,
We have several business processes defined and documented in Oracle Designer 10G , we were looking for a way to import these brocesses into Oracle BPEL. Is there any utility /tool to do this?
Thank you.
Syed Ahmad

I think your problem is caused by the fact you do not have a TEMP directory on your C: drive.
Windows NT has a temp directory under the drive C:\ but Windows 2000 doesn't.
The import creates a parameter file for the import in the Temp directory.
Hope this helps,
Didier

  • Import Edge Animate compositions into In Design

    Hi, how do I import Edge Animate compositions into In Design..? Cheers
    p.s. perhaps i should have added: my main interest is to have the animate project imported to have it load in the adobe viewer for digital publishing. up until now I'd linked the html overlay from the standard Edge app. One of the things that caught my eye under the features for Edge animate was:
    Digital Publishing support
    Import Edge Animate compositions into the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite with Adobe InDesign CS6, or into Apple iBooks Author.
    How I proceed: as per the help/resources:
    Publish as Animate Deployment Package (.oam)
    Select this export option to create a package file of your project for use in other Adobe tools. The following tools support Animate Deployment Packages: Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS), InDesign CS6, Dreamweaver CS6, and Muse.
    Select File > Publish Settings.
    In the Publish Settings dialog box, make sure Animate Deployment Package is selected as the publish target.
    Note or change the target directory.
    (Optional) Specify a poster image.
    Click Save to save the publish settings, or click Publish.
    but all i get is
    Content generation error.
    [Error: Invalid URL for Web Content Overlay]

    Here is a walkthrough on Adobe Dev Connectings - http://www.adobemarketing.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/enhancing-your-dps-fo lios-with-edge-animations.html
    The only difference in that walthrough is the reference to in the Publish Settings: in Adobe Edge Animate v1, its now called 'Animate Deployment Package' instead of 'Indesign/DPS'.

  • Need help for importing oracle 10G dump into 9i database

    hi, Someone help me to import oracle 10G dump into 9i database. I'm studying oracle . Im using oracle 10G developer suite(downloaded from oracle) and oracle 9i database. I saw some threads tat we can't import the higher version dumps into lower version database. But i'm badly need help for importing the dump...
    or
    someone please tell me the site to download oracle 9i Developer suite as i can't find it in oracle site...

    I didnt testet it to import a dump out of a 10g instance into a 9i instance if this export has been done using a 10g environment.
    But it is possible to perform an export with a 9i environment against a 10g instance.
    I am just testing this with a 9.2.0.8 environment against a 10.2.0.4.0 instance and is working so far.
    The system raises an EXP-00008 / ORA-37002 error after exporting the data segments (exporting post-schema procedural objects and actions).
    I am not sure if it is possible to perform an import to a 9i instance with this dump but maybe worth to give it a try.
    It should potentially be possible to export at least 9i compatible objects/segments with this approach.
    However, I have my doubts if this stunt is supported by oracle ...

  • Import an xml file into adobe designer field using javascript

    Adobe javascript experts ,please help me.
    I need to load the data from an xml file into a text field in designer
    using javascript and then go through each node in the loaded xml and compare that with form fields in designer and if matching fill the value(node's value from the loaded xml) in form fields.
    Please give ur suggestions.
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Thanks for the fast response.

    Just by giving this alone how do I access the values in the xml???
    Just by giving the above javascript, my value is not getting populated when I see in pdf preview.
    But apart from that you have done dataconnection also and binding in all the columns.What is this for??

  • Importing an Image (png) into a designated (Coordinated) location.

    Greetings,
    I'm currently developing a TicTacToe application. I am using an array to store the points (Coordinates) of where I would like an image to be input when I call a paint method. Eg An O in position 1 would use the coordinates associated with the grid element (Stored in the array) for 1 to paint the image:
    1|2|3 O|2|3
    4|5|6 --> 4|5|6
    7|8|9 7|8|9
    I have all of the x1,x2,y1,y2 coordinates, and this is a two part question...
    1. Will one of the createImage methods create an image using an existing png but resize it to fit between the desired coordinates?
    2. And if not, could you suggest an alternative method to accomplish this?
    Regards,
    RakeOne.

    1. Will one of the createImage methods create an
    image using an existing png but resize it to fit
    between the desired coordinates?I don't know about this.
    2. And if not, could you suggest an alternative
    method to accomplish this?I would do this by manually drawing X's and O's on the canvas,
    since you already have the coordinates, this shouldn't be hard.
    Or by having three images, one for X, one for O, and one empty.
    Every image would have the background color you wish and a
    border, which will become the grid when the images are next to
    each other. First fill the canvas with nine empty images, and
    when X or O is inserted in some location, replace that image with
    corresponding X/O image.

  • Import oracle apps dump into oracle database

    Dears,
    Is it possible to import the dump taken form oracle apps to oracle 11g.
    If it is possible could anybody list down the steps.
    Thanks
    Janani.C

    from oracle apps (64 bit) to oracle 11g (64 bit).The source of a dump is a database, not apps. The source may be 11g or 10g or 9i.
    If this "apps" environment is an Oracle EBusiness Suite you must follow the instructions on Export-Import of EBusiness Suite which are detailed in a few notes on support.oracle.com Not following the instructions will leave you with a not-working, unsupportable environment.

  • Import a pdf into Output Designer

    Hey all.  I have been struggling with this for a while and I'm thinking there has to be a better or more effeicient way to do what i'm doing.
    Here it goes...
    I have files that originate from Microsoft Word files that I am converting to pdf's, I am then using the image tool in acrobat pro to take a snapshot of the form and then I paste it into paint, save it as a bitmap.  Paste the bitmap into output designer save my ifd file and then compile it into a mdf file.  mdf is the final format that I need.  Is there an easier way to get from word or pdf to mdf?  Or is there a way to import the pdf files into output designer to save myself a few steps?
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks,
    Drew

    What we typically do, is take a pdf, and run it through Formbridge.  So, open formbridge, click Translate, then browse out to the file you want to convert.  It'll ask you where you want to save it (usually in the same folder you picked the file up from), then click ok, and it should convert it.  Once the conversion is completed, open Output Designer, click file, import.  Browse to the folder you converted the file to, and select the fif file (that's the extension it names it once it's been converted) and click open.  It may prompt you to choose a font or two during the import, but just select whatever is closest to what was on the original artwork.
    Once the import is completed, you may need to touch it up, but it shoud come over pretty cleanly.  Hope this helps!

  • Eclipse BPEL Designer with Oracle BPEL Process Manager

    Gurus,
    I am tryting to develop a BPEL 2 process using Eclipse Helios BPEL Designer (v0.5).
    Request your help with a problem that I am facing, which is as follows:
    I am trying to create a Partner Link (PL) in my BPEL process, using the Partner Link Type (PLT) provided by TaskService (for user interactions) in BPEL Process Manager 11g integration services.
    However, the PLT is not recognized by Eclipse BPEL Designer. The Port Types in the WSDL show up but not the PLTs.
    I noticed that the PLT namespace being used in the TaskService WSDL is BPEL v1 namespace (namely, http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/). I am able to work with PLTs from WSDLs with BPEL v2 namespce (namely, http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsbpel/2.0/plnktype)
    Is there anyway I can work with v1 PLTs using Eclipse BPEL 2 Process?
    Many Thanks,
    Pulkit Sharma

    Hi,
    I believe the Eclipse BPEL Designer is not a supported tool to create SOA composites. I suggest using Oracle JDeveloper 11g as it is a supported tool for development and is Oracle's go-forward IDE strategy.
    Hope this helps!

  • Does Oracle BPEL process manager ships jdeveloper bpel designer

    I had downloaded Oracle bpel process manager and installed on my desktop but I am unable to find jdeveloper bpel designer shiped with process manager.
    Could any one update me regarding the same

    Hi,
    Follow the steps which I have mentioned.If you want to start with BPEL you can do either of the two things.
    1) If you are interested in only BPEL then download and install BPEL server from oracle site. For coding you need to have Jdeveloper.
    or
    2) If you want to use all the components of SOA then download version 10.1.3.1 and install SOA suite. Apply Patch to upgrade version to 10.1.3.3.
    After installation of server, download Jdeveloper 10g and Unzip the file to use it.
    Hope I clarified your doubt.

  • Import third party designs in an Oracle BPM Process

    Hi,
    Is there currently any capability in the BPM suite to import third party process designs?

    Thanks,
    I was asking more in terms of a general 'import' feature that used to be available earlier (rather than BPA to BPM in particular - which is also probably enabled by XPDL)
    see this: http://blogs.oracle.com/ptslad/2008/12/hi_folks_i_would_like.html
    PS: ARIS is a product in its own standing and not called Oracle BPA Suite now.
    http://www.ids-scheer.com/en/ARIS_ARIS_Platform/3730.html
    BPA Suite is 'based on' ARIS (and always has been, AFAIK)

  • How To Integrate BPEL Process Into Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3

    Hi All,
    I have bpel process which which has db adapters and Human Work Flow. I need to integrate this bpel process [ created using Oracle SOA Suite 10131] with Oralce weblogic portal 10.3
    Please let me know how to achieve this.
    Thanks,
    Irfan Khan

    Hi All,
    I tried to call my BPEL Process thru JSP.
    This is how my JSP looks like:
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"
    pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.Locator" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.NormalizedMessage" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.dispatch.IDeliveryService" %>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <title>InvokeHelloBPELProcess</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%
    String name = request.getParameter("name");
    if(name == null) name = "HelloBPEL";
    String xml = "<name xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com\">"+name+"</name>";
    // Connect to the default BPEL domain using Locator
    // Please set the password (bpel is initial password)
    Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "welcome1" );
    IDeliveryService deliveryService =
    (IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService
    (IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME);
    //Construct the normalized messaged and send it to the oracle BPEL PM
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage();
    System.out.println(" -=-=-=-=-=-=-= XML: "+ xml);
    //attach the payload to the NormalizedMessage
    nm.addPart("payload", xml);
    //Post the message to the HelloBPEL process
    deliveryService.post("HelloBPEL", "initiate", nm);
    out.println("The BPEL process HelloBPEL initiated!!!");
    %>
    </body>
    </html>
    Now once i invoke this JSP page I am getting the 500 internal server error.
    The error message is :
    java.lang.Exception: Failed to create "ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean" bean; exception reported is: "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to lookup 'ejb.collaxa.system/DeliveryBean' didn't find subcontext 'collaxa'. Resolved 'ejb'; remaining name 'collaxa/system/DeliveryBean'
    Here I have some doubts:
    1) If xml payload that I am passing is correct?
    2) In Locator, do I need to pass 'domain' along with 'password' as my password or it will always be "bpel". i.e.,
    a) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", <password> );
    OR
    b) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "bpel" );
    Please let me know how to solve this error. I doubt that my xml payload constructed is wrong. could you tell me what is the correct xml payload for below BPEL process WSDL file:

  • BPEL designer default relative URI when importing wsdl

    I'm using BPEL designer 10.1.3.1.0 The designer generated a reference service wsdl file "MyServiceRef.wsdl" that imports the service "MyService.wsdl" I intended to use.
    The import line reads like:
    <import namespace="http://my.namespace/" location="../public_html/WEB-INF/wsdl/MyService.wsdl"/>
    When deploying the BPEL project, I got error that "Failed to read wsdl", in which the deploying process looked for the wsdl file at location
    <BPEL HOME>\domains\default\tmp\.bpel_ProjectName_ff8d276f54525c078b0828ce6f764002.tmp
    I tried to modify the line to use the full URI to point to the correct location but it wouldn't compile. Can someone help point out what is wrong?
    Thanks,
    Wen

    1. The web service "MyService" was generated using BPEL designer's wizard: New -> Business Tier -> Java Web Services (There's one java class compiled within the project.)
    2. When I was adding the service into my BPEL flow, jdeveloper automatically generated the reference "MyServiceRef" as mentioned in the first post. This reference service imports MyService, at relative URI as correctly described in the import statement.
    3. Compiling the BPEL ->success
    4. Deploying BPEL, somehow it looks for MyService.wsdl at a wrong location
