Importing photobook pages into a new photobook

I've got a lot of experience working with PSE project files but I can't figure out how to take a page from an existing PSE project file and copy it into another project file. I've tried dragging and dropping (doesn't work), and can't seem to find a menu command for importing a page from a PSE file. does anyone have any advice?

Here's what I've figured out....
For me, there's no real reason to have an Event called "Photostream May 2012" (or whatever the case may be). I think it just ends up taking up hard drive space and kind of ruins the flow of photos events I have in iPhoto.
BUT, I do like the ability to take photos on my iPad and then import them into iPhoto without having to connect my iPad physically to my iMac.
SO, I simply go into Photostream and select a group of photos that I would consider one "event" and drag them to "Events" at the top left section of iPhoto. This imports the photos into the "May 2012 Photo Stream" event (or whatever the name of the Photostream even may be that month.)
I then create a new event (Event-->Create Event), and drag and drop that Photostream into the new event. The new event is now a separate, individual event, not a Photostream event which can cause issues when you want to later import additional Photostream photos into iPhoto.
If you have multiple events you want to import, basically do the same thing. You can either split them in the Photostream event or split them from within the new event.
Until Apple changes the functionality of how a new event is created when you drag a set of photos from Photostream into iPhoto, I think we will have to use these additional steps. (I also think this is one of the reasons why the there is a function called "Create Event". At this time, I can't think of any other reason why that command exists.)

    You’re going to have a very big problem and very soon. These missing pics are the beginning of trouble.
    the total size of all my folders on my 60gb internal drive is 46.5 gb, yet only 1.9 gb is available,
    OS X needs about 10 gigs of free space on the hard drive for normal OS operations such as virtual memory and temporary files. Without this space the machine slows down as the OS hunts for free space, files become fragmented and applications begin to crash. The risk of data corruption increases exponentially.
    You must, as a matter of urgency, make space on the drive. I cannot stress this enough.
    You may be able to recover the pics from your camera card using an app such as MediaRecover

    Yes I have looked at the Muse code and also looked at it in a plain html editor, (Been using Arachnophilia for about 15 years)
    and the code is a mess.
    You are dead right. I figured I would start with Muse to get some of the concepts sorted out, and that has worked, but I know I will need to use DW for my main site
    CanLaw has about 1500 pages all done in html with tables….
    time to play catch up
    Ton of work, but I have a masochistic bent anyway
    But in the long run life will be simpler if I make the effort now.

  • How to print photobook pages into A4 paper

    how do we print the photobook pages we made from Aperture after saving as PDF format. The PDF file when open in Adobe PDF is showing each single page only and it does not show 2 pages spread out like we saw in the Aperture photobook layout. do i need to use another program to do the layout beofre printing out in an A4 paper? I intent to do a layflat photobook which require the sticking of the pages for binding later. someone pleeas help. thank you.

    I have give a several try to your new instruction but the gap is there no matter how i set the paper size. I gave an example of this page layout of 2.5in x 2.5 in . If i read your article correctly , my total page size is suppose to be 5inx5in.
    Just look at the image and i had try out 2 custom setting in the paper size . You will notice the difference of these two layout after i open the preview for PDF.
    the first one, the paper size remain as original as it is (2.5inx2.5in per page) .The image is pretty close side by side but the gap can still noticeable.
    The second image is using your instructions earlier (When you export your book define a custom paper size that is exactly the size of two pages of your open book. That you define in the "Manage Custom Sizes"-entry of the "Paper Size" selector of the Print panel) - the result = it shrank to smaller size and left a huge gap in between those image. The paper size was set as 5inx5in per page.

  • Import full events into a new iPhoto library

    I want to divide my iPhoto library into two: one personal, one work.  In creating the new iPhoto library, I exported the events I wanted and imported them into the new library.  Much to my surprise, they were all imported into one event.  I did split the events by the dates but would prefer not to go through and have to reorganize and rename each event.  I have 4,000+ photos here so I want to make this easy.
    Is it possible to import multiple, separate events, with their current names into my new iPhoto library?

  • Can I import an existing topic page into a new topic page?

    I'm working in RH HTML 9 and am working on a project where there will be at least 2 versions of help documentation. One version for basic functionality, to be used by a novice user and another for advanced functionality, to be used by a advanced user. The basic functionality needs to viewable by both the novice and the advanced users with the advanced user being able to find help on a few more windows/fields/options. The programmer asked if an existing topic can be imported to another topic. I am already using conditional tags to exclude certain topic from the novice user version. Another way I could do this is to provide a link from the advanced user page to the novice user page.

    Thank you Rick. Another question, if you have time-In my case the topic I am putting in the iframe is fairly lengthy, so I don't see any advantage to the iframe over just cutting and pasting the text. Is there a way an iframe can open in another browser window? In the alternative, I think I'll just use links so the advanced user can link to the novice user help topic, for the shared functionality.

    I am sorry for not explaining my situation clearly.
    This is my situation
    ・I am a teacher putting annotations and marking papers as my daily job.
    ・The paper consists of multiple pages which has variety of questions.
    ・Each question has sub-questions (Ex. Q1 having 1a 1b)
    ・I have to add each sub-question's score (Score(1a)+Score(1b)=ScoreQ1)
    ・Also I have to clarify the full mark for the  sub-questions by putting (Ex if the full mark of 1a is 12.  I have to write ／12)
    ・I always did this work by using the importing the comments by FDF files. (In the function of comments section)
    This is what I want to do
    ・Sometimes I make mistakes doing the additions so I realized that I could use the form summation function to reduce my work and mistakes.
    ・However I couldn't import the FDF using the import function in the forms section.
    ・I want to paste all the forms into the correct location at one instance
    Excuse me for my grammars, I am not a native speaker.

  • Noob Needs Help - Importing Html Pages into "My Site"

    Greetings
    I am sure this is a noob question that may have been asked, but I couldn't find it by searching so here goes.
    I jumped right into Dream Weaver, following an online tutorial... and have a decent webpage but I must have skipped some steps or missed something and I would hate to backtrack and do it all over again...
    When I began, I just started working on a HTML page... and now that its done, I want to make it a template etc...
    But I never created a "site" as far as SITE > NEW SITE etc.
    So now that I have, I need to tell DW that "These pages are included... these images are included, all that neat SPRY stuff I have done needs to be "in the site".
    I am looking for a button that says, "Hey dummy, you need to select the pages that are included in your site" but can't find it...
    Any help?

  • Importing predesigned pages into Aperture

    I've been intrigued by some of the discussion about creating properly designed pages in Apple's Pages, Adobe's InDesign, etc, and then saving them as PDFs, opening them up in Photoshop, saving the pages as JPEGS, and then importing the whole thing into an Aperture (or iPhoto) page. Before I spend any money on this, I'd like to know what kind of loss one might experience in terms of both the type quality and image quality by going this route. Anyone have any experience along these lines? Thank you.

    After reading month after month a lot of (bad) things about Aperture or iPhoto book quality, I decided to never try this.
    But finaly, last month I had an opportunity to try. I designed my 70 pages book within aperture with a lot of pages designed in Pages or iPhoto, exported to PDF an converted to JPG again with Photoshop.
    What I can say is that the received book was really amazing.
    Don't hesitate to try this as Pages or iPhoto offers features you don't have in Aperture.
    Anyway, I think print quality in europe is better than in the states.

    Is it possible to copy a web part page (homepage of a team site) to a new wiki page on a team site?  Can this be accomplihed without SharePoint Designer?  If it is possible, how do I go about it?

  • Imported iTunes library into my new Mac but covers are only shown from down

    i can only see the covers from my downloaded music from itunes store. all other cover from imported music wont show.
    what can i do? my cover folder is devided into two subfolders: local and download. the files from local wont show up in the finder but the ones in download will. they are all .itc

    and will the covers import from Cover Artwork files into the m4a files or will they be shwon from the cover artwork files directly? because if i delete the cover artwork folder, the cover from downloaed songs are still there!

    You don't import, you just open the library with the new app.
    Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch Photos. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'

  • How can I Import CA Certificate into a new user profile when it's created

    I need to deploy a CA Root Certificate to new firefox user profile when it is created in windows. I Seen somewhere that you could place a working copy of cert8.db in %programfiles%\firefox-installation-folder\defaults\profile and this would get added when a new firefox profile is created. However, the profile directory doesn't exist in the defaults folder and when I created it this method still didn't work.
    Is there a way to get firefox to create new profiles with preconfigured Certificates?
    Right now when new users open firefox for first time it is unable to connect to any SSL sites through our proxy server until the user adds the proxies ca certificate or it gets added later via logon script (at next user logon).

    Update... For anyone looking for a similar solution:
    I ended up adding more to my logon script I have it check for a user's mozilla profile first and if not found it will use command line "firefox.exe -createprofile default" to make one. After that I just copy a working cert8.db to that new profile. Then when the user opens firefox for first time, it will detect this new profile, and it will load it along with the correct CA Certs intact...
    Also, for existing profiles my script just uses nss certutil to add my proxy CA Certificate to the users profile cert8db.

  • I can't import portal307 application into a new machine, why?

    i export application using the Navigator(Oracle9iAS102 Portal307 -> Navigator -> Applications tab -> Export next to APP_CRM), and then i save this sql file to app_crm.sql. After i have installed another machine with win2000server, oracle816, and oracle9ias102, i import this application as followings:
    appimp.cmd -s portal30 -p portal30 -t SCOTT -a APP_CRM -f app_crm.sql -c crmisp
    it works very well, and then i login to portal, but i can't see APP_CRM application(include in wwv_module$ table)!
    so i decided to use CREATE option as followings:
    appimp.cmd -s portal30 -p portal30 -t SCOTT -a APP_CRM -f app_crm.sql -c crmisp -m CREATE
    and then i get errors SP2-0642, it's over!!!

    Im also having the same problem here. i run first the check mode, and its ok.. but when i try to run the create mode, it did import some components but not all. then it raises an error message

    ORA-24323: value not allowed

    If you're using PSE9, you've run into the infamous "Calendar Year Bug".  You need to select a year one greater than what you really want -- choose "2013" to get a "2012" calendar.
    There's no way to change the year and dates of a calendar.  You'll have to start over.
