  • How do you move photos from iPod to new computer?

Just got a new computer with Windows 7 (I think) after using an old (really old) one. All my photos are on my iPod and the FAQ says they can be moved from it to the new computer if I enabled disk use (which I did). But it doesn't say how to actually move them. Can anybody help?

1.Turn on your computer. Close any applications that might slow the photo transfer.
2.Connect your iPod to your computer with the cord that came with your iPod. Make sure you have turned on the iPod.
3.Open iTunes. Wait for iTunes to register that your iPod is connected. If the screen does not register that a connection, disconnect the iPod and try again.
4.Click on the "Photos" tab below your iPod on iTunes. Look through the photos stored on your iPod.
5.Drag photos from the photos folder on your iPod to the desktop. You may also drag these pictures to a photo editing application, like Photoshop or Photosmart. Move any other images from your iPod to your computer.

Do I need to connect a wire to import photos from iphone to a computer?

    you definitely do
use the USB to 30 pin cable that came in your iphone box, hook it up the USB port of your computer
now go to the start menu for your PC and click on 'computer'
you should see your iphone as a device on this page, and you can right-click on it to choose 'import pictures'

  • HT201302 Is there no way to import photos from Ipod which were earlier synced from Itunes?

    Hi,
Is there a way to import photos from Ipod which were earlier synced from Itunes? If there isn't any such feature on itunes then please refer to any apps/softwares that can do the job...

    No.
You can e-mail them to yourself.
Have you failed to maintain a backup copy of your pics?

Trying to import photos from iPhone 5, windows explorer present many icons of local disks which cannot be deleted
for some reason there are many folders in the iPhone for pictures

I have been having the same issues with my devices (iphone4s & Ipad and Ipad mini) NOT importing photos to my PC via windows 7. Too be honest, i am sick and tired of looking for a fix. I have spent days on this and now realise via forums that this issue is widespread. (deja vu - remember notes vanishing?)
I have tripled checked everything but the platform just simply does not work.
So, i will get offered various 'hunches' as to how to fix this...but hold on..after paying over £1,000 for the equipment why should i have to go find a fix...basically ...yet again...Apple products not delivering what they promise and are flawed. Gather im pretty p**sed about this...you betya...will i buy Apple again...?? take a guess.

  • Can i import photos from ipad to windows based computer.

my ipad is losing charge very quickly and I have been told by apple genius bar support that the battery is working fine. They say I need to back up the ipad and then reload from scratch. But they say that if I simply use the back up I am likely to have the same problem, so what I really need to do is make sure that my photos are safe and then can choose what to reload. But I have a windows pc not a mac and I cant see how to transfer the photos on the ipad to the computer. Apple say they know nothing about windows computers. Any easy, non technical ideas please?

First of all, you can use iTunes or iCloud to backup your data on iPad. If you have no idea on how to make a backup, you can go to :http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
Then, to import photos from iPad to computer,  there are two ways:
Way 1: If you have enable iCloud, you can see and copy the photos you took in the last 30 days on Windows iCloud panel which you have installed on your computer. However, there is an advantage that you can not import all photos.
Way 2: You can use iTunes to copy the photos on iPad to your computer. Install the latest iTunes and connect iPad to the computer. Then, you'll see your device on the "Computer (disk)" list , click it, you can see all your pictures on the iPad and import or copy it to the computer.

  • How do i import photos from iphone to windows pc without the autoplay

My phone doesnt have space anymore for me to upgrade IOS7 and would really appreacite if someone could help. i have to import pictures to my computer and somehow that autoplay option is not coming on and also the phone is not showling under the removable options.

    Hello Lady MC,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone.  It sounds like you are trying to import photos from your iPhone, but the AutoPlay dialogue box doesn't automatically appear.
You may need to enable AutoPlay on your computer:
Connect your iOS device to the computer. If the AutoPlay window appears, click "Import Pictures and Videos using Windows", then skip to step 4. If the "Import Pictures and Video" dialog appears, skip to step 4.
Note: If the AutoPlay dialog box does not automatically open, you may need to enable the behavior.
That excerpt is from the section titled "If you have a Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC" in the following article:

If your iPhone is not appearing as a connected device at all, I recommend reviewing the following article:

  • Import photos from iPhone to Mac Computer using iPhoto

    Hi there,

  • Transferring ipod photos from ipod back to computer

Had to get new hard drive. Back ups were copromised. All 1100 photos from years are on ipod. Support says they cannot be transferred back to computer even thought music and videos transferred. Any ideas how i can save years worth of photos back to computer before i lose ipod or it crashes. PLEASE HELP. I have photos of family member who have passed. Cannot lose photos.

You can try a program such as [touchcopy|http://www.was-systems.com/touchcopy>, but be aware that any photos transferred to the ipod touch are reduced in size and resolution, so you will not get back the same quality as the originals. Probably a better bet is to take/send the drives to a [recovery company|http://www.drivesavers.com/plans/service-plans.html] who can retrieve the files even from a supposed dead drive. This will cost you, but if they're that important...

  • Photos From iPod to New Computer

I need to know how to get the photos from my ipod on to my new computer. I have Windows XP and do not have iPhoto or Image Capture. I haven't found a place to download eitehr program.
If anyone else has experienced this problem and has a solution please share as this is the main reason I bought the iPod when I knew I had to buy a new computer.

If you did not save them to the iPod's harddrive directly or if you did not check the option to transfer high-resolution photos, you can use something like this...
    http://www.copypodphoto.com
If you had checked the option to transfer high-resolution copies of the photos in iTunes, then enable the iPod for disk use...
Using Your iPod As A Hard Disk
Then go into My Computer, find the iPod, open the Photos folder. Your pictures should be there.
(That only works if you set it to transfer high-resolution photos)

  • How do I import Photos from iPod?

    Hi.
I've had some computer trouble recently, and it deleted all the photos off my intel iMac. And for some reason, my older mac decided to corrupt it's iPhoto Library (Thanks, Apple!) at the very same time. There are backups on the iPod, but is ther any way to import thr photos from it?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

For photos in the iPod Camera Roll (or Saved Photos for iPod without a camera)
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
For other photos (synced to the iPod) you need a third-party program like PhoneView or TouchCopy

  • Getting photos from Ipod into my computer

I had all my pictures and music on my Itunes, and synced them to my IPod. My computer however recently crashed, and I lost all of my songs and my photos. I found a program that allowed me to convert all of my songs from my Ipod back onto my Itunes, but I haven't found a way to get my photos back on to my computer. Does anyone know how I can get my photos from my Ipod into my computer??

    Check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2).
There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), there's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
The above methods may depend on what version of iTunes you are running.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • Computer crashed, how do i import songs from ipod to new computer?

I need to import songs from my ipod to my new computer. I know there are third party softwares to do this, but which software is free, and is COMPLETLY VIRUS FREE. please give me a specific name and where to download it. Thx

I can't recommend any of the free ones. They either wouldn't install, or had severe limits not present in the purchased version. My advice is to shell out the $20 bucks.

  • Import photos from Lucid to my computer

I have a Lucid, I connected my Lucid to my computer to import photos i had taken.  Now everything opens up okay, but, i expected a import box to pop up so i can import my photos to my computer, but it does not.
Can anyone out there in simple layman terms, tell me how to import my pictures from my LG Lucid to my computer.
    thank you kindly,
    RJGacek

You have to open up "my computer" on your computer. Notice the new removable disk with a letter. This is your phone. Now, on your computer, open the new disk up and scroll down to the DCIM file and open up "camera". Here are your pictures. You can also open up "Thumbnails." Now you have to drag and drop the pictures you want to export from here to whatever file you want to put them in on your computer. It's a simple drag and drop operation.
