Importing photos from Mobile me gallery.

I created a Mobile me gallery. Shared the gallery with a friend who added his photos to my gallery.
Now, I want to import his photos in my iPhoto library, not just view them.
Thank you.

Hey rmillsync -
I am having the exact same issue and of course am having to put together a highlight video based on the pictures that I am waiting to finally "sync". I tried to just move pictures over and it told me I had to import them. I keep clicking on the specific mobileme gallery, and it just continues to say "pending" and tries to update the sync. It's ridiculous. I let it run all night and nothing.
Here's my issue:
Mobileme gallery contains some of my own iPhoto library for others to download
Same gallery has doubled in size from others uploading their own pictures
All I want to do is grab all of these (that I don't have) and import them since it forces me to import before working with them
If I try to bring them all over, will it recognize the ones that I originally uploaded as gallery as a duplicate? I am going to try and pick the ones that aren't mine, but if iPhoto would handle this it would be easier.

  • Getting photo from mobile me gallery to contact

can anyone tell me how to get a photo from the mobile me gallery onto a contact in the address book.?

You are extremely helpful!!! Thanks. I went into my Free Agent peripheral hard drive and searched for the domain files and, sure enough, they were there. I clicked on them and all of my old websites opened up in iWeb 08 (I also saved that entire program on this hard drive). The only problem I have now is when I click on the iWeb icon in my dock, iWeb 08 opens and iWeb 09 is no longer there with my newer sites! I'm sure I can open that by clicking on the newer backed up domain files and I assume it will automatically open up iWeb 09. Again, many thanks for your help. One of my sites I use for my business and it is quite a complex secure site with about 50 downloadable documents on it. If I had to rebuild that, it would have taken a long time!!!

  • Import photos from mobile phone

I swear I did this sometime ago... Motorola V551 with Bluetooth (although I have to use a cable!) -- How do I get photos from the camera over to one of my Macs?
G5 Dual Core and PB12   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   Airport Extreme and lots of nodes...

    Thank you for your ideas.
Unfortunately the cable attached Motorola phones do not appear on the G5 desktop nor do they appear to Image Capture. Only iSync sees the Motorola phone on the G5.
On my PowerBook, Image Capture sees the phone via bluetooth but waits forever for the lame Motorola software to respond.
I'm afraid that Motorola does not want to sell any more phones to Macintosh owners. I'll go find a blog of phone recommendations and pitch these Motos.

If you use LR Mobile to import photos from your phone to your desktop, are the images full res? And what happens if you let your CC subscription lapse - do they stay on your desktop or are they deleted?

  • How can I import photos from photo stream to windows photo gallery? These photos are not on the camera roll on my iPad but are from another iPad on the same iCloud account.

I work at a Learning Center that has 12 iPads on the same iTunes and iCloud account.  Each classroom uses an iPad assigned to their room to take photos.  Each of these photos then shows up in the Photo Stream in all 11 of the other iPads.  I have no trouble importing photos that are in the Camera Roll of any individual iPad, but I have not been able to import photos from the Photo Stream if the picture was not taken on the specific iPad I am using.  It is not feasible for me to collect all 12 iPads everyday to import everyones photos, so how can I use one "master" iPad that will let me import photos from the Photo Stream since it has all the photos that everyone has taken?

You downloaded an iCloud backup to your PC?  I assume you mean you downloaded your photo stream to your PC.  What you may not know is that photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days.  After that, they are deleted from photo stream but not from any device that already has them (such as your phone).  When you enabled photo stream on your PC you only had access to photos from the last 30 days since the others are no longer there, even though they remain on your phone.
To transfer these to your computer at this point you have two options:
Save them to the camera roll on your phone (by opening the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  (You can only import photos to your computer from the Camera Roll album.)  Then import them to your computer as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083; or
Use an app like PhotoSync, which can wirelessly transfer photos from any album between your devices/computers, including the my photo stream album.
In the future, always import your photos from your camera roll to your computer via USB before deleting them.  Don't rely on photo stream or your iCloud backup to save your photos.

All the instructions on the internet demonstrate a different blackberry link to the one I have, I have the newest version of blackberry link. • How do you import photos from the photo library on an iPhone using iPhoto?

Hello,  I am trying to find a way to import photos from the Photo Library on my iPhone using iPhoto.  It seems that the default setting only allows for photos in the 'camera roll' section to be imported and not the full photo library.  We recently had to replace a hard drive and only had our photos backed up on mobile devices (iphone and ipad), but would like to import them on to our computer.  Thank you.

No, iPhoto can't access these files. There are several apps that will recover the material from an iOS device and bring them over to the Mac.

  • Import photos from iphone to iphoto

I've been able to easily import photos from my iphone to iphoto by connecting my phone to the computer via USB cable.  However, it does not seem to be working.  I have the older version of iphoto (I believe it's version 9), and when I connect my phone it is not automatically asking if I want to import.  I've checked my preferences in iphoto, and have it set to open when a mobile device is connected.  When reading other posts similar to this issue it seems that there is a "device" section over to the left, which I do not have in my iphoto.  I know the USB cable is working because I can see my phone is connected to my itunes on my computer.  I would like to take my photos off my phone to free up some space.  Thanks!

    Hello bbb34vball,
Since that article didn't help, I would suggest trying the steps in this article next:

If that doesn't resolve your issue, you may find more information by using another one of Apple's support resources - https://getsupport.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action.

  • How can i import photos from ipad to itunes, how can i import photos from ipad to itunes

How can I import photos from my iPad to iTunes on my Windows Vista PC?

I'm puzzled!  I had received a set of jpg files through an e-mail on my ipad.  For reasons unknown to me, they got saved to my (only) album, that had an irrelevant name.  When I tried to change the name of the album, I received a message that I could only change the name of the album after importing them to the computer where (as I recall) iTunes resided.  After much huffing and puffing, I managed to import the photos, to the Windows computer, but they wound up in a Windows Photo Gallery directory, where I put them into an appropriately named album.  Now, how do I get them back to the iPad.  (I also learned, I think, that iTunes will have nothing to do with the photos.

  • Is it possible....to save photos from the MobileMe Gallery?

I lost my hard-drive several months back & many photos. However, there are some photos in my MobileMe gallery that were not able to be saved from my old hard-drive... Is there an easy way to pull these photos from the MobileMe Gallery onto my 'new' hard-drive?  I have already changed to iCloud (if that makes a difference).  Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes. There's a new photo sharing site, ZangZing, that can import photos from MobileMe Galleries into albums.  The site allows 2 GB space free like Dropbox.
Just enter the URL for the gallery and import.  You'll get something like this for each gallery:
You can mount your iDisk and go to the iDisk/Web/Sites/_galleries folder on your Desktop and drag each numbered subfolder onto your Desktop.  All of you photos will be in those subfolders within other subfolders.  Each photo will have 3 versions.  If you setup the gallery so visitors could download the photos each photo subfolder will have the full sized image file in it. There will be 3 versions, medium, web and large.  The large.jpg will the the file you will want to keep.  However, you will have to rename each large.jpg file to match the actual file name.

  • Why can't i import photos from my Samsung Galaxy SII

In the past I have been able to import photos from my phone, a Samsung Galaxy SII. For some reason, I am no longer able to do this. When I connect the phone by USB, two "cameras" appear under Devices in iPhoto. One titled "NO NAME" and one titled "Untitled". Both appear to be empty, neither has any photos available for download. However the phone appears to be functioning properly in all respects. I can take new photos and see in the Gallery that there are any number of images which I have not yet downloaded to my Mac.
Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting this issue?

A couple of people have mentioned an issue with this device. It appears that the OS is not storing the images in the standard way. Can you use another method to get the pics to your Mac? Bluetooth?

  • How to effectively import photos from iPhoto

I had a pretty large iPhoto library and try to keep it under control by exporting photos into folders on an external HD. I also have mobile me albums from multiple computers live.
I tried importing photos from iPhoto into Aperture and encounter problems. Not only do events come in as projects, but a huge number of what I thought were deleted photos from those exported events, Mobile Me albums, etc were imported. It seems that this is clogging everything up because Aperture is running so slowly. Also, I feel like something is wrong because if I open up a photo in Aperture, it takes several seconds to become clear.
I do not understand why it is running so slowly. Any tips on how to organize my new library and how Aperture stores the files.
    Thanks for the help

I'm not an Aperture expert, but I would empty the trash in your iPhoto library (open iPhoto, right-click on the trash and empty), and then import. I believe that Aperture's projects are equivalent to iPhoto's events. It can take time for not only the import but for Aperture to process everything and generate previews, etc...
I imported about 12,200 pictures and 300 videos on a dual quad-core Mac Pro and it took a couple hours to import everything and finish all the processing.

  • Importing photos from my iPhone is incredibly slow or not working anymore

After upgrading from iPhoto to Photos, I can't import photos from my iPhone anymore after connecting it to my 5K iMac.
When I do connect my iPhone to my iMac, it takes over a minute or two for just the "Import" button to appear next to the global Photos/Shared/Albums/Projects navigation.
The next problem is that my thumbnails are loading incredibly slow, with just the thumbnail placeholder graphics appearing at a glacial pace without the actual thumb of the photo in question.
These issues are terribly annoying and killing the excitement of the long overdue and great upgrade.
Many thanks in advance to whoever can help me resolve these issues.
    SavJag

Ok, this is incredible, but within 5 minutes of posting this problem, and after 6 to 8 views (hopefully by Apple Tech Support), these issues seem to be fixed.
I just tried Photos again (my iPhone was already connected to my iMac) and boom, the Import button was already there in the global nav.
The thumbnail gallery of my already imported and new items showed up immediately.
When I hit "Import", my new items started importing immediately and turning up under the Photos section.
Apple Support Community / Tech Support, a big thank you to whoever fixed this. Hugely appreciated.
