Importing Photos From PC To My Camera Roll

Ok here is my problem.
I had an iPhone with 16GB storage, and at some point, I had to delete some photos to free some storage.
Of course I have taken them to my PC.
Now I have bought a new iPhone with a 32GB storage, so I wanted to return my backed up photos back to my iPhone.
The only way i found to return them back (with the chronological order of date taken) is to sync these photos with iTunes.
But when I tried to use the new iCloud Photo Library, it gave me a message that it will delete the synched photos with iTunes.
I have tried some apps to import photos to my Camera Roll (like Documents), but unfortunately it imported the photos but without reordering them with the date they have been taken.
I know it is a ridiculous problem, but I do want to import the photos with the chronological order.
HELP!!

Do not enable iCloud Photo library, it is different. Just connect iPhone to PC, Open iTunes - Photos - then select the path where the photos are saved and sync. All photos should get synced. Hope it solved your problem.

  • Imported photos saving to top of camera roll.

When I directly import photos from the computer to the phone via the USB cable given with the phone they instead of coming up at the bottom of the camera roll show up at the top. Keep in mind only some of these photos show up at the top. I have tried changing the format from .JPG to .PNG and even changing the file name so it is lower down in the alphabet. (e.g. Len.PNG to zLen.PNG) other photos who were a part of the same file move show up at the bottom but there is a few that are stubborn and don't move. It is really an inconvenience. Had anyone else had this problem and have you/how did you fix it?

Open the multitask bar by double clicking the home button, find the photo app, tap on it until it starts to shake, hit the "minus" icon to close the app completely. Go back to your home screen, start the photo app again, it should work after that.
This is a known bug, it happened to me again today, hopefully Apple will take care of that in the next update.

  • Can I move photos from Google to the Camera Roll on my iPad?

Just bought my first iPad, I would like to import photos from Google+ and put them into albums and the camera roll...is this possible?

If you are using the Google+ App, you just need to tap on the settings "cog" icon at the top left corner of the opened pciture, and then tap on download.
This will put the image in your camera roll.

  • HT201302 how do i remove ALL PHOTOS from my iphone4, BOTH Camera Roll AND ALL ALBUMS??? HELP !!!

    PLEASE HELP ME !!!

that gets the phone off the roll, library, stream but if you have synced albums from your computer you need to unsync.  You also said "To remove Camera Roll, select all the photos in the Photos app and delete them." isn't that what I said but I get them off the roll in one go.

  • If all the photos from my iPhone 4s Camera Roll show up in iPhoto under Library- Photos, is it safe to delete them from the iPhone and not risk losing them?

I am getting messages about being out of space on my phone for taking any more photos. I am scared to delete anything with all the photo stream and syncing that happens cause I don't want the photo to delete in many places at the same time.
So, 1) when is it safe to delete from the iPhone? 2) I feel like I have multiple copies of photos stored between the phone, Photos Library in iPhoto and all my albums in iPhoto. Is there a best practice document on how to manage your photos for space savings?
I've looked, but can't find my answer clearly in the forums.

IF you have successfully imported your pictures to your Mac http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083  then it's safe to delete it from your phone.
If you want the pics back on your phone, just sync them back using itunes http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236

Probably be quicker if you use the camera's memory card and a USB card reader. Also saves batteries on your camera.

  • Can i import photos from my wifi enabled camera to iphoto over wifi?

Hi there. For anyone searching, here are the results of my research and corresponding advice back to Sony...
Thanks, your comments looked correct but did not solve my problem. You may be interested to know after much testing and research, I was able to ascertain that some of the camera's AVCHD settings iMovie cannot see at all (only some, which made it even harder to figure out!). Plus, if you have recorded movie clips in more than one format to the memory card (MP4 or any one of the AVCHD's), iMovie cannot see any of the AVCHD's.
Bottom line - forgo the benefits of AVCHD on the Sony NEX-5N and just use MP4 until Apple makes it easier.

  • How can I import photos from photo stream to windows photo gallery? These photos are not on the camera roll on my iPad but are from another iPad on the same iCloud account.

I work at a Learning Center that has 12 iPads on the same iTunes and iCloud account.  Each classroom uses an iPad assigned to their room to take photos.  Each of these photos then shows up in the Photo Stream in all 11 of the other iPads.  I have no trouble importing photos that are in the Camera Roll of any individual iPad, but I have not been able to import photos from the Photo Stream if the picture was not taken on the specific iPad I am using.  It is not feasible for me to collect all 12 iPads everyday to import everyones photos, so how can I use one "master" iPad that will let me import photos from the Photo Stream since it has all the photos that everyone has taken?

You downloaded an iCloud backup to your PC?  I assume you mean you downloaded your photo stream to your PC.  What you may not know is that photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days.  After that, they are deleted from photo stream but not from any device that already has them (such as your phone).  When you enabled photo stream on your PC you only had access to photos from the last 30 days since the others are no longer there, even though they remain on your phone.
To transfer these to your computer at this point you have two options:
Save them to the camera roll on your phone (by opening the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  (You can only import photos to your computer from the Camera Roll album.)  Then import them to your computer as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083; or
Use an app like PhotoSync, which can wirelessly transfer photos from any album between your devices/computers, including the my photo stream album.
In the future, always import your photos from your camera roll to your computer via USB before deleting them.  Don't rely on photo stream or your iCloud backup to save your photos.

  • Can't import photos from my camera since the update, says file is unrecognizeable

Since the recent photos update, I can no longer import photos from my Kodak Easyshare camera. Previously all I had to do was plug it into the Mac, turn it on and it would import with no problems. Now it is telling me that the files are unreadable or something. I don't know how to find the camera as a device on the Mac when its plugged in, to go at the problem that way. Not sure what to do at this point. Getting frustrated.

Then use either of my recommendations above. If you decide to get a card reader (I'd recommend this!) then simply insert the card into it, connect the reader to the Mac and use Photos import feature and import from the card. If you need additional help using Photos please use the Photos forum, you can get there by clicking Photos for Mac

  • I am unable to import photos into I Photo from my Kodak Z700  camera. any solutions?

I have tried over and over again to import photos from my Kodak Z700 camera intoI Photo.  I keep getting the essage that the format is incorrect.  Any Solutions?

There has been a problem between iPhoto and Koday EasyShare cameras for quite a while now, since Snow Leopard.  It appears to be something Apple can't fix so the problem lies with Kodak.  See the topic at the right under More Like This.
The workaround is to use a card reader with the memory card from the camera.

  • After importing photos from a digital camera the thumbnails are blank.

I purchased a new iMac a few months ago and had no problem with transferring (and viewing) my iPhoto library onto the new computer. However, now when I import photos from my iPhone or camera, the thumbnails are blanks (with little dotted lines around them). In order to view the picture I must double-click on the image. This makes it a difficult to locate photos! Help me please.

I just got the iPod Classic and I don't see anywhere in the manual that I can still do this. Is it still possible to import my photos from the camera to the iPod?
No, the new iPods do not have a camera adaptor able to do this. Why Apple have decided not to make a suitable adaptor available (the old one won't work with the Classic), I have no idea.

  • How to import photo from laptop to iphone? is it possible?

how to import photo from laptop to iphone? is it possible to do so?

    You're welcome.
The photos are imported from the Camera Roll, not synced.
    Mac or Windoze PC?
Which application on your computer are you using for the import?
With a Mac, both iPhoto and the Image Capture application include an option and a prompt to delete the photos from the Camera Roll are the import process is complete - as when importing photos from any other digital camera.
The Windoze Scanner and Camera Wizard includes the same.
