Importing. Please help.

I use windows media player and I am converting to iTunes and I imported all of my music but when I put a new song on Windows Media Player and went to import it to iTunes I accidently imported the entire Music file so now I have two of every song. How can I fix this? Is there a easy way?

You can also click on View> View Options> check Date Added, then sort the music files by the date they were added. From there you can delete all the files that were added on a specific date.

if i use OLEDB or DSN ODBC where to put the sever ip and stuff ? (dsn you put the server as the name of the database ex: MINE )

I should install the oracle client (is that right?) because without it there is no dsn for oracle .
and if I use dsn wich one should i use:

Sudden Change in CD Importing - Please Help!

Hi - I am new to iTunes, iPods and my new laptop. I just started adding CDs to my library last week and was very pleased with the process. The songs were downloading quickly and I was able to play other songs during the process with no interference.
I continued to add songs this morning then all of a sudden right in the middle of an import my download time dramatically slowed AND now when I try to play a song during importing it's very slow and shaky. I have not changed anything with my system, currently am not running any other programs (except for this window) and have restarted several times but nothing changes. Can anyone out there help me understand what would cause this annoying change with my system? Is there something I can do to get things back to where they were?

Much trouble with imports - please help!

Very frustrated here! When I put a CD into my computer drive, nothing happens at all. It's not recognised, not only in iTunes but in My Computer too. This has happened for a while. When, very occasionally, I find that the CD is recognised by iTunes only the first few seconds/minutes are recorded or the real time is overridden by something like 782:34:23 and the song doesn't play at all. I know others have had this problem too, but I just wanted to post my CD diagnostic in the desperate hope that anyone out there has a solution or suggestion.
I have re-installed iTunes and suchlike but this doesn't help so I assume it's something clever and technical that I have to do...
Anyway here's the diagnostic:

Crash during CD import - please help

When trying to import (Apple lossless in my case) iTunes crashes after a few songs quite randomly. This happens to all CDs I try. What a mess and how frustrating....
Does anybody have an idea, what could be the problem?

when i try to import new cd's to itunes ...the program crashes...the only new thing i've changed is upgrade the itunes program from 5 to 6....any help??

Itunes duplicates on import (PLEASE HELP)

I recently tried to move my iTunes to a GoFlex cloud and start a new iTunes library on there, my ultimate goal was to beable to get all my music from iTuens to my Android Google Play Cloud. However, when I moved the library and went to reimport it to iTunes using the File>Add Folder to Library then selecting the folder i put all the music in on the GoFlex cloud it would import it but I have duplicates of almost all the songs when there aren't any duplicates in the original folder. WHat is causing this?! I don't want to go through a library of 2,000 plus songs or say 70+artist folders with subfolders to check if there are duplicates when I know there are not. If you could help me ASAP-as I am trying to get my music library organized for college next year that would be great. Because right now I have NO iTunes, nothing on my Google cloud, and even worse a HUGE MESS with ALL my music.

I suspect something went wrong with the workflow when you moved the media to the drive or attempted to update it. I've written a script called DeDuper which may help remove unwanted duplicates, but for it to work properly all there must be no broken links, and all the media in the media folders should have been added to the library. In addition there is a risk of deleting the only copy of a file if the same media file has been added to the library from two different network paths, e.g. via both an UNC name and a mapped drive letter.
See this thread for background on the script.
Feel free to post back with details of what you see in the library vs. what is in the corresponding folder for a typical set of duplicates in case I can see an easy fix or a way to make sure my script can't make matters worse rather than better.

Problems with import, please help!

I have tried importing two different CD's and they are importing with presets. How do I turn this off?

I am importing .tif files. An aged preset is being applied. I see where it says presets to apply when importing and "none" is selected. I have uploaded over a thousand images in the last few weeks and these are the first two CD's that have started doing this?

into the jsp ,it throws me error stating

1)After this,added path to this jar file in classpath i.e D:\jack\samples\samples.jar
2)still,error appears.
3)Now,added this jar file to jdk lib classes. still,error appears.

Actually, I´m currently using JDeveloper 9.0.3.0 and Oracle 9iAS 9.0.3.0.
How can I update both (jdev and oracle9ias) to a version that have this bug already fixed?
I didn´t find any patch to update jdev 9.0.3.0 to 9.0.4.1 nor oracle9ias 9.0.3.0 to 9.0.4.1...
What is the right procedure? Do I have to download jdev and 9ias 9.0.4.0 and apply some patch to 9.0.4.1 ?

My ex is on my family plan with our child and my exes mom. I have no problem keeping the family plan, in fact i have to due to new phone.
My ex needs to monitor our daughters call and texts, nd the only way to do so is through my verizon so i have to give her the account info, however, she also checks my calls and texts. I can't have this happening.
Is there a way to spin my daughters phone onto another login where only her phone info will show up?
Please, any suggestion are greatly needed and appriciated.

As you can set up a separate My Verizon login for each line whereas the daughters login would be for that line only, why don't you give your 'ex' access to that login (username & password). Just make sure that login account DOES NOT have Account Manager privileges or any other freedoms to either view your line information or make unauthorized changes to your account.
I am guessing this would also have to be agreed upon by the daughter as she may already be using that login. In that case, just make this a rule of her continuing cell phone service on your plan to allow this monitoring.
I recommend trying this out on your own before giving your 'ex' the access to insure it meets your security needs.

hello, i have a HP computer a pavillion g6 with a GPU Ati Radeon 6470M and windows 10 as operating system i tryed every single roubleshooting web site that speaks about this issue for now. in my opinion windows 10 isn't made for this kind of Graphic cards (by that i mean ATI mobility graphic cards)... for now !!!. a lot of people offer alternative solutions to the driver provided by the official AMD website, try this web site "http://leshcatlabs.net/". may be it'll work. but they didn't work for me, try them may be they could work for you if u happen to try windows 10. the thing is and my question is : Will there ever be any fix from HP (or microsoft, or AMD) for this issue ?. because it's not worth to wait if i will never use my graphic card on windows 10... i'm seriously thinking about downgrading back to windows 7 where every thing was stable over this issue. it's a temporary solution, but at least i can use my GPU. thx for answering, let's hope we all find a solution soon.

Error during import. Please HELP!

We want to export / import some page groups and are faced with the following situation.
We were able to get the transport set of the page group from the source and create the dmp file using the command:
File.cmd -mode export -s portal -p <portal_schema_pwd> -c iasdb -d pqr.dmp
We also created the transport set in the target system by executing the command:
File.cmd -mode export -s portal -p <portal_schema_pwd> -c iasdb -d pqr.dmp -pu <portal-user id> -pp <portal password>
Browsing through to see the transport sets, we could see the status of the created transport set to be "EXTRACT_COMPLETE"
But when we tried to import it, the status changes to MERGE_FAILED and the log shows: MAPPING NOT FOUND AT PAGE ID:xxxx SITE ID:yyyy.
We are not using any web providers. All are DB providers. Our page groups do not share any object. And we are using release 9.0.2 .
Someone must have come across this error. Please help.

I have spent the last two or three days trying to do what you suggested. I uninstalled Adobe 6 from Windows. Some files that CS6 placed on my system during installation remained, including fonts and .dll files.
I had to abandon the Cleaner Tool you suggested because in one screen it allowed me to specify removing CS6 only, but on the following screen it only gave on option to remove ALL Adobe programs. I could not do that because I didn't have the serial number handy for CS3 in case I want to reinstall it at some point.
I tried to get technical help with the Cleaner Tool problem but no definitive help was available, so I reinstalled CS6 again without having the benefit of the Cleaner Tool. I tried to get the serial number for CS3 so I could use the Cleaner Tool but spent 2 wasted hours in chat. Even though I had a customer number, order number, order date, place of purchase, the email address used AND 16 digits of the serial number, in two hours the agent couldn't give me the serial number. After two hours I had nothing but instructions to wait another 20 minutes for a case number.
Illustrator CS6 is still trying to open some backups as Text and otherNone of the problems have been fixed. I have tried to open/use the .ai files in CS6 installed on another system and am getting the same result, so I don't think the software was damaged by the cleaner. The hard drive cleaner is well-known and I've run it many times without any problem to previous versions of Illustrator or any other programs.
When I ordered, the sale rep promised good technical support and gave me an 800 number, but after I paid the $2000, I learned that the 800 number she gave me doesn't support CS6 and hangs up on me. Adobe doesn't call it a current product even though they just sold it to me about 3 weeks ago.
Would appreciate any help you experts can offer. If I can't solve this, the last backup I can use was from June and I will have lost HUNDREDS of hours of work and assets that I cannot replace.
Exhausted and still desperately in need of help...
