Importing Query & Display Templates from 11.5 to 12.1

Hi,
I am importing a project created in 11.5 into 12.1. The Query and Display templates are imported as .xml files. Can somebody explain how to properly import the existing Xacute, iGrid etc. query and display templates from 11.5 to 12.1? Is the migration tool a must?

While you managed to get this to work, the migration tool should be used to get 11.5 project content into 12.0 / 12.1. For some of the objects your risk for problems will go up significantly, since the migration tool provides all sorts of object level modifications to catch up with changes, etc. that a straight Workbench import is not expected to do.

Can not create/open Query/Display template from workbench

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in my MII Workbench. From MII Menu page I can open the workbench. There is no error to open it. Now when in the workbench I like to open a display template, I can not do that and I get a error message - Error on Load For <object name>: Template file type iGrid and document type <object name> do not match. When I like to create one diplay template of iGrid type I get an error message Template type iGrid and Document type iGrid do not match. I get this error message to create/open any type of MII Object except BLS.
My guess is that - It is a problem of my local workstation (like problem with JREor IE), because when I do this from other workstation (using same MII user id) it works fine.
JRE of my local system 1.5.0_16
IE is 6.0
Any help?

Soumen,
There are a number of potential causes and this is not an unknown problem. I do not know your system configuration, so can't give any specific suggestions.
However, if you do a search on this message board with the three words "Open" "Template" "Workbench" you will get a list of recent postings from people who have both had this problem and gotten resolution to it.

Importing and displaying captions from Aperture to iPhoto

I'm using Aperture as my main photo library, then exporting select pictures with a copyright watermark on them. Then I'm importing those watermarked photos into iPhoto so that I can drag them into albums in iWeb (so the watermarks show).
I'd like for the captions to show under the photos in iPhoto, but instead the keywords do. I can't find a place to require iPhoto to display the captions other than the little caption window in the lower left of the window.
Problem is, I need the captions to chow up ultimately under the photos in the iWeb albums, but they don't. Instead, it's the keywords that show up, just like they do in iPhoto. My reasoning is that if I can get the captions to display under the photo in iPhoto, they will do the same in iWeb (I could be wrong on this).
So the ultimate question is: how to get iPhoto to import and display Aperture-entered captions and then pass them on to iWeb.
I've seen a few variants on this topic, but none that specifically address this issue.

There is no way to make iPhoto display the captions under the Photos in iPhoto. For specific help with iWeb, try posting on that forum.

SAP Query Display data from 2 internal tables

Hi ABAP Gurus,
I am developing a SAP Query.
I have created an infoset with the custom infotype 9050 and added the table ZPA9050 into the Infoset.
How do I input values to the ZPA9050 fields? A checkbox for making a Selection field is not available in the Query (SQ01)
For every pa9050 entry there exist multiple records of ZPA9050. I need to display the pa9050 fields in the 1st row and the corresponding zpa9050 fields in the subsequent rows.
Kindly advise how to accomplish this task.
A quick reply is highly appreciated.

Hi Deepika,
Your reqirement is to print data from the two internal tables ..and if u r not using interactive alv then u need to merge data into single internal table... if anycase u dont want to merge in the table itab as u told u can use another final internal table in which u can merge data from the two previous interal tables then u pass this final internal table to ur FM.

NO, DO NOT USE THE MODEL TAG! that converts your lovely XML
into a hideous tree of dynamic Objects. Do not do that.
Your problem is simply that you forgot to call the init()
function. Call it from the creationComplete event on the
Application tag and you will be fine.

Imported Video Displays "Play" from starting VHS Tape

I purchased an Canopus ADVC110 to convert old VHS tapes into Digital for editing in IMovie HD6. Everything works fine except the only way to get the VHS tape to start playing is to hit play on the VCR. The word "Play" displays on the screen for about 10 seconds after starting to play the tape. The on screen "Play" is then transferred to my digital video during import. Any workaround ideas? Or VCR's that won't display any on screen text? Thank you.

I would try another VCR. Mine flaches a small triangle in the start and I think that I do as follows:
• start play on VCR
• start import in iMovie
• press rewind on remote to VCR - then it ruches backwart to start - and after releasing it starts
to play again but now from very start and as I remember without trangle
• end import when done
• cut of the start of the clip with the very beginning and rewinding.

Import of a template from another site

I have a list that was customized and saved as a template on a particular site. I want to have that same customized list (template) used in an entirely different site. Is there a way to import the .stp file somehow? I've tried going to the template directly in windows explorer and copying the .stp file there, but get an access denied error. Just wondered if there was a quick way to import the .stp file into a new site.

Query: Displaying elements from different cubes using a Multiprovider

Hi Experts,
I am trying to report from 2 cubes joining via a multiprovider. For this case the let's focus on only one dimension as below.
Cube 1
Dimension 1 - A1, A2, A3, A4, A5
Key Figures - K1, K2
Cube 2
Dimension 1 - A1, B1, B2, B3, B4
Key Figures - K1, K3, K4, K5
The only common characteristic and key figure that I have is A1 and K1. Most of the KFs are reported from Cube 2. Whenever i try to query this, I will get A2-A5 showing value 'unassigned'.
It worked fine if the no KF are dragged into the rows/columns. I have also explored the constant selection and this doesn't work.
Is there a method that I can actually report on this apart from using a Infoset?

Rightclclick on Charecteristics>Restrict>Select Not Asssigned in Right Panel>Make it Exclusive>Click on OK

Import templates from older iPages

I would like to import my old templates from an older version of iPages (06) now that I have just installed 08. I can't find anything in the documentation that indicates how to achieve this. Is there a quick way of doing this?

Any template you created yourself will automatically show up in the template browser when you open Pages '08. You won't need to move anything.

How to import Montion 5 Templates to Final Cut Pro? The Template changes background in Final Cut. Why?

I am trying to import the "splash" template from motion 5 to Final Cut Pro X. It works well as I can find the template, but the background in the template has changed. Why is this and where did I go wrong?

I'm unsure what you're asking about.
The Splash compositions are available in FCP in Titles. If you want to modify them, you can open a copy in Motion and make changes. You can then "publish" your custom version in FCP and both the original Splash and the custom Splash will be available.
You can also begin the process in Motion from the Project Browser. You can publish a copy that will be available from the project browser and you can add it to generators in FCP.
Of course, you can also use the Share menu to export and then import a QuickTime movie (not the template) into
FCP.
The workflow is way different than it was for previous versions of Final Cut and Motion.

Read / Write Security from Query and Display Templates

When you assign a role to the READ access of the Security tab of either the Query or Display template, this means the user can only view the report on the screen.
My question is...
When you assign a role to the WRITE access of the Security tab of either the Query or Display template, DOES this means the user can enter information on the screen? Or is there another meaning to the WRITE section?

Writer Roles is a design time template editor permission to make physical changes to the template itself.

How to import and display an applet from JSP

i m using netbeans 5.0
i have class named myapplet.class
and jsp named myjsp.jsp
now i want to access(import) this myapplet.class from jsp
also i want to display this applet from this jsp
i am able to do either thing but not both
so please help me it is so urgent and important for me bcoz
i have to complete my project as early as possible

so problem is that if i want to use myapplet.class
then i have to put my class in D:\Reliance

location
but at that time i am not able to display this applet
on my jsp
if i put my myapplet.class in

able to display
applet but not able to access(import) this class

Access query strings in a search results page with custom display template

am trying to create a custom display template in my search results page , so i went to download the itemdefault html file and renamed it and saved as different file.and am started to updating.
the issue i am facing here is : in my search results page there are 2 query strings, which are passed by anotehr .net appln[ another asp.net appln will be sending the query string to my sp 2013 search results page]
but, how can i read these 2 query strings using jslink and new token _#- ?

when i run the page , i a getting the query string value as undefined! though the custom javascript is getting called.

i am able to get the results by implementing the below:

Import templates from Motion 4 into 5

Has anyone been able to import the templates from Motion 4, particularly the Broadcast Video ones?

I've come to a couple of decisions:
I am not buying FCP X until they fix the many issues...that is another story but very related to this one...Apple is actually refunding customers their money for FCP X...so you know that is bad for FCP X
I am using Motion 5 only if iI have to in certain project when need to.,.
The speed has not change in Motion 5, but I think you have to have the new Lion install to see the difference with that... will see...
The is no more Live Fonts in Motion 5
Motion 5 does not get along with FCP orFCP X (you can't send project to Motion anymore)
You can only have one project open at the time with Motion 5
The templates are there and you can get to them but is such hassle just to open them up with motion 5...
I have drag Motion 4 back to my apps bar and will continue working with it along with FCP7...
so disappointed...

I don't think you understand: I want to open Dreamweaver and build a brand new site, then when I am done I want to host the dreamweaver site on the Business Catalyst platform. I dont want to use anything in BC to build the site, I just want to use the hosting platform. I do not want to import a BC site into dreamweaver or anything like that. I just want to use BC the same way I would use godaddy, or uhost or any other hosting provider. Based on your response you said that "of course its possible to build a BC site in Dreamweaver" I dont want to build a BC site, I want to build a Dreamweaver site and host it on the BC platform. Like I said before it doesnt seem like this is possible. As of now we can only build a new site in MUSE and integrate it into BC without using a BC template. Can you understand what I am saying. I DONT WANT TO USE A BC TEMPLATE, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH BC WHILE I AM BUILDING THE SITE WITH DREAMWEAVER, JUST LIKE MUSE DOES.
