Importing Render/Export Options into CS6

Hello,
I am now working in CS6 and require a number of render settings that I have used in CS5. I was hoping for an easy fix to be able to utilize my (10-15) different settings from CS5 in CS6, but I have not found a solution just yet. Does anyone know of a quick way I can import these settings (either through the Finder on OSX or from within AE)?

If you are referring to Render Settings templates and Output Module templates, yes, you can transfer them between versions.
In AE CS5, go to Edit > Templates > Render Settings or > Output Module. Click the Save All button in the lower left. In AE CS6, do the same but click the Load button and choose the file you saved from CS5.
You will likely get a warning message about duplicate template names, due to the default templates from CS5 being a part of the package.

Trying to import PP1.5 project into CS6 on Mac

Working on some 2 minute product videos in PP1.5 because I had it on our PC at work. The project crashes at random points on export and always during editing if I scrub the video too often. I am trying to export with huffuv or lagarith and then ffmpeg convert to suitable size/formats for the web.
I have tried a number of things to help it export. Sometimes it works but not always. Anyway, it is difficult to finish the edits because I can't view it in Premiere (long enough to finish) and can't export it conveniently (It does export using Cinepak codec but the quality is not good enough and it takes about an 1 hour/2min of video).
I have installed CS6 on my Mac, thinking the project files "are just XML or whatever" and should be compatible. But no. No project import and no sequence import.
Is there anything I can do to get the project into CS6?? I am even willing to edit the project file.

I doubt that you will have any luck. Premiere 6.5 was ported for both Mac and PC. When it became Premiere Pro (several different names at that point), it was PC ONLY>
PrPro CS 3 was the first version to be X-platform.
You might need to befriend a PC user, with say PrPro CS 3, to Open that Pr 1.5 Project into their program, then Save_As, and use that on the Mac.

In Earlier version Firefox use to have Import & Export options under File menu, but in the new version 7.0.1, I cannot find Import & Export options, as I was trying to save my Bookmarks. Kindly help.

Hi Subodh. I have encountered the exact same problem. It seems that the Import & Export options under the File menu are now removed starting from version 7. This leaves another exact (yet longer) way to do this.

Import and Export Option

When we exit from the local Developer Studio, in the next attempt to start the Developer studio we are not able to import/export the DC, because the import and export file system options are not available in the popup window.
To achieve it we are reinstalling the JDK as well as NWDS.
What could be the reason and please send the suggestions to resolve this issue.

Close the project when exiting from the studio. So next time, you open studio, open the DC and check if you get the options.

How do we import a font (Japanese) into CS6 for titles?

We want to buy the English version of CS6, but we want to put Japanese subtitles on our videos. How do we get Japanese characters into CS6?

You install fonts into the Operating System by right clicking on them and choosing Install.
Installed fonts should be available to any software on the system that allows font selection.
The bigger issue, I think, will be typing them out using an alphanumeric keyboard.

Any ideas why I can't import some AVI files into CS6?

The file is coming up as H.264/MPEG-4 AVC and imports into CS3 without any issues,plays fine in Bridge CS6 too.(Cretive Cloud User)

How to import Hana exported package into Hana cloud portal?

Am new to hana cloud portal, But I have followed open sap courses,
We have developed hana project in hana server using eclipse.
Now this project we want to move into hana cloud portal,
I have exported the project and views into delivery unit and schema exported separately.
We have account in the cockpit(https://account.hana.ondemand.com)
In this i want to import the project, Please provide me the steps to follow.
Is there any possibility without adding system in the eclipse, I want to import the project in the cockpit itself.

Is there Anyway to Import XDCAM EX1 videos into CS6 without Conversion ?

I have to edit some footage which was shot on XDCAM EX1. Im using CS6 on an IMac. Whenever i try to import the footage i get the error " the file has no audio or video stream". So i went to google for the solution. I came across a few posts (all of them were exactly the same) which said that I have to convert the footage. The problem with this is that no matter how expensive or professional the converter is, there will be some loss in quality. Please advice me what should I do ? Quality is the highest priority for me. I do have FCP X as well which picks up the EX 1 footage but it does not recognize the footage from my Sony FS100 ( i need to edit footage from both these cameras in one timeline and sequence ). Other than this i do have windows available as well with Adobe Premiere cs4,5,5.5. and 6.

Copy the BPAV directory and all subdirectories from the SxS card to a harddisk. Open the BPAV directory in the Media Browser and import the clips from there. The EX1 creates MPEG2 clips in a MP4 wrapper.

Lightroom 4.4 cannot import files exported from CaptureOne Pro8, but LR5 can??

I am a recent new user to PhaseOne's CaptureOne Pro8 software. I am using it for some RAW conversions, but still want to use my LR4.4 product to catalog, and further edit, those conversions.
I have tried exporting TIFF, DNG, and JPG from Pro8, but NONE of those files can be imported by LR4.4 I can selected the file, and then LR hangs on "Importing files...". Oddly enough, I can move to other LR modules, like Develop, and the software still works, but the import never completes.
I downloaded a trial LR5.6 via Creative Cloud, and that version of Lightroom imports the JPG files just fine. I have not tried to see if TIFF or DNG can be imported.
So my questions come down to :
Are there any LR4.4 users here who also have CaptureOne Pro8? Can you import Pro8-exported JPGs into LR4.4?
Is there any insight as to how LR5.6 handles files differently than LR4.4 that could explain why LR4.4 cannot load these files?
I have no other issues with any other software package that can read JPGs, only LR4.4. Keep in mind LR5.6 works fine, as well.

BKKDon - Thank you so much for the Photoshop Family route. I kinda found myself going in circles on the Adobe support pages, and thought this user-to-user forum was my only option for LR4 support. Appreciate the link.
And, I believe you have helped me greatly narrow the problem down. I was not familiar with JFIF, and now I am. I was able to find some utilities to essentially strip all of the APP markers within the JFIF, and now I can import those files into LR4. I suspect that CO7 did not utilize APP marker in the JFIFs, CO8 does, and LR4 stumbles when it sees APP markers. That's speculation based on how I made the LR4 import work, and not by doing direct inspection of different JPGs or JFIFs. Thanks for the tip on JFIF, that gave me a lead that panned out.
Now if I could just figure out why DNG and TIFF seem to be similarly afflicted, LOL.

Importing Actions from CS5 to CS6

I have written many actions for PS CS5 and recently installed CS6. I cannot figure out how to import my old Actions into CS6. I fould the Load Actions dialogue, which tells me to locate the Action(s) I want to load. That's where I get stuck. Tried and tried but cannot locate the CS5 Actions I wrote. I am using OS X 10.7.3. Suggestions?

I am a dullard when it comes to some of these things. Couldn't find a SET NAME command. However, it occurred to me that my Acrions were just in the default set in CS5. I created a new set, moved all of my actions into it, and then was able to do Save Actions without a problem. Of course, that loaded easily in CS6. Problem solved. Just wish that there were a much simpler way.
Appreciate your help. Now all I have to do is figure out the rest of CS6.

Import and Export to Memory

hi guys, im currently making a program that imports and exports data into a memory so that when the user logs out that would still remain in the memory. The data would be use for the slection screen but i can't seem to make it work. Could you please help me. Or if you have other ideas on how to store data that would also be ok. The thing is when Im running the program through se38 its working fine but if i run it through its transaction code the import does not work. Please help.

Im trying to do same thing as you described in the post.
My main purpose is to IMPORT variant contents from cluster table VARI for all the selection screen variables dynamically.
I can IMPORT individual screen variables :: For ex :
st_key-report = 'ZNIDHS20'.
st_key-variant = 'TEST_VAR'.
IMPORT slsin_p TO TMP_VAR FROM DATABASE VARI(VA) ID ST_KEY.
This will get me the contents of slsin_p parameter in variant TEST_VAR of program ZNIDHS20.
But If I use same statement in a loop, im not able to get the data. : see below

Option in properties panel: render - export a bitmap

Hi - just come across this.
Therefore should we always use render - export as bitmap - it will be kinder on all CPUs of all platforms.???
When would I not use it then?
I suppose I can - but can I code this in ie: character.exportAsBitmap at design time or is it ONLY for mcs on stage. ie: Can I import mcs an apply that???

I understand that you need the newest version (InDesign CC 2014.1) to accomplish what you want with EPUB.
But if you have a Creative Cloud subscription, you can download BOTH that version (the current one) AND also install InDesign CC (which came out in 2013), as well as InDesign CS6. All can be installed simultaneously!
As I described above, I think you unintentionally muffed it by installing a trial on top of your installation. Both should be uninstalled.
Then with Creative Cloud install the latest version and make sure it's working.
To download an older version from Creative Cloud, select the Apps menu in the CC application. Scroll down till you see "Filters & Version" In that section, you will see the older versions which you can also install.

Cannot import .mxf into PPCC2014, but can into CS6 on same laptop.......huh?

Just bought a new Asus laptop.
i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz
16 GB ram
64 bit Operation
Nvidia Geforce GTX860m
I installed PPCC2014. I cannot import .mxf files from a Canon XF300. I CAN import them into CS6 on the same laptop.
I've been editing .mxf files on my desktop for years in PP, and for the last year on CC2014
I tried taking the .mxf file out of the folder, (which contains .cif, .xml and .sif file) and importing alone and it doesn't work.
The message I get is "unsupported or damaged file."
I've tried importing by dragging and by using import in premiere.
Anyone know what might be going on?

Hi,
I have come across this before. Seems Premiere Pro isn't properly activated. I would suggest the following steps:
Sign out from the Creative Cloud app and Quit it (Quit option will be available after a few seconds).
Now move the following folders to desktop:
1) SLCache
Windows: OS Drive\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe
2) SLStore
Windows: OS drive\ProgramData\Adobe
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe
3) OOBE
Windows: OS Drive\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe
Mac: /User/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Launch Premiere Pro and sign in with your Adobe ID.
NOTE: Make sure your Anti Virus/Firewall is not blocking any Adobe activation servers. Alternately, you can also check your 'hosts' file for any changes.
If that doesn't help, i would suggest running the CC cleaner tool to uninstall Adobe apps and then reinstall: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
