Importing "source" from web?

I'm new to Dreamweaver... I'm trying to import the source
html from another website to view in Dreamweaver. When I do this
the page does not look like the page on the internet very much. No
pictures or colors can be seen. Just the dotted positioning lines
and some text show up. How do you open an existing website into
Dreamweaver correctly?

Patty, I use Site Import from WebAssist, it does a nice job.

Import source from 1 workspace to a new workspace

There appears to be something missing when I import source files from 1 project into a new project contained in a new workspace.
The source files compile indiv. with no errors in both workspaces. The old workspace compilies fine.
However when you try and run or compile the new project or new workspace I get tons of wierd errors about duplicate classes.

you can also get a memory stick and move the files but it will not save your ratings or playlists. I do not suggest a stick that uses compression. I did it that way and Vista does not have a way to decompress the files so they are useless. The third way is to back up of your files if you have a cd burner. you can do this through itunes by going to file/library/back up to disk. After recording the back up. you can restore from disk on the new computer.
But I will warn you, Vista *****! I have the 64 bit version and everytime I close Itunes it erases my music. I still have the music on my computer, it just wont stay in itunes. Still dont know how to fix this.

1. I havent heard of BD2 i only know DB2(if thats what you are referring to).
2. Create a repository under NON-ORacle ==> DB2 in design center.
3. create setup locations in connection explorer(under non-oracle).
4. Import the metadata.
5. create mappings.
6. create a control centre location
7. deploy mappings
8. execute your mappings(if required use schedules and process flows)..

How to import images from web via CSV in Indesign CS4?

Hi,
I am using Indesign CS4 and i want to import pictures from my homepage.
I have a CSV export from a database with products and the url to the
product picture. I want to import the information for the products and
the picture via data merge. I added the @ in the name of the column
where the url to the pictures is. Everything works perfect when I use
a lokal path, but I need to get the pictures from the website.
Is it possible to import pictures from a website via CSV data merge?
What steps are needed for that?

yes, it starts with http://domainnaime.... it's from an extern webspace
then i will backup all pictures and put them in the local network and try over ip-address if that also won't work then I'll copy then locally
altough, it would be great if it works via ip-address

SAPNET is basically the Destination of RFC SAPOSS or the SAP backend and SAPGUI is a graphical user interface?
You question, nor your requirement is clear. Are you refering to maintaining customer numbers as a VAR ort CCC?
Where you are running service desk and manage multiple cutomer numbers?
This is the only thing I can think that might possibly relate.
Please expand out your question with enough detail to know what you are trying to do and wht problems you are having trying to do it?

Import XML from Web

I would prefer to use Numbers for something a lot of people use google docs for, but i can't see hwere to do this.
Basically, I need to import a value from a web based XML source.
in google docs I do something like importXML("url","Value")
can't seem to find where to do it. Does the latest version of Numbers have a feature like this?

No, Numbers doesn't have that function. Yvan Koenig, who has contributed much in this forum, wrote a script to go out and get stock quotes, as I recall, but I don't know how flexible it was concerning alteration of the target URL. You can browse his folder at box.com if you want to look for it, or search the discussions for the topic.

Import audio from web

How do I import the music that is playing on a web page when there is no link there for the music?

I've figured out a way to track the file down by going into "View" and "Page Source" and tracking down the coding that links to the file, but what I was hoping for is a way to download it more easily... like other times when I can click on the music link and hold down control and have download as an option.
I tried using Audacity, but it, like iTunes is looking for a more specific source. My techy friend who has a PC is telling me his computer's OS has been able to download sounds playing on the web for years as there is a setting in his "mixer" to do that.

Import photo from web to iphoto not working

I follow the directions of Apples own design to download photos to a folder and then transfer them into an album in iPhoto. Each time I do so, I get the follow error message:
__Can't make «class impo» of application "iPhoto" into type boolean. (-1700)__

Thought maybe had a corrupt or something wrong with library. I decided to copy library to new drive and start fresh with a new library. Used the program iPhoto Library Manager to do this. Now I have deleted the old library under Pictures and have created new library. Still the same results.
I also try the contextual method where I can select "Add Image to iPhoto Library" but nothing happens there either. I don't get the error message.. iphoto launches but no added image.
This has never worked for me. Anyone have any ideas?

I have been sucessfully downloading linked photos from some web pages with Automator. I have been able to download them into a folder on the desktop with
out using iPhoto. It is the website that determines if they can be downloaded. If each page of the website has a different URL and each photo has it's own URL then they can be downloaded by the page with Automator. If the URL at the top of the page remains the same as you move from page to page or image to image then Automator will not download any of the images. I've got this great computer that I absolutely love but I still don't know how to use so many things and I can''t seem to find what I need to know in the tutorials and manuals.
I am still trying to figure out how to import pictures from web sources so that I can save them for reference or to share.
How do I do this and where can I find the printed info?
The only thing I can figure out right now is to print out the pic and then scan it back onto the desktop. I hope this is not the only way.

In most cases, it is much simpler than you would think.
In this case, all you need to do is click on the image and drag it out of the browser window to some location... your Desktop, or a folder on your Desktop.

What is the best way to import photos from an Android phone?

Hi. I'm running Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v. 4.3 to edit and organize my photos. So, after having shot a few photos with my camera - a Samsung Galaxy s4 - I will plug my S4 to my PC (USB), open APL, click "import" and start going, as I always do with my DLS. However, on the import page there will appear all sorts of stuff, not only my recently taken photos named Bestfit, Large, and so on, but also quite a lot of photos I could swear I never have taken, some of them looking like screenshots of some sort. Obviously, this isn't how things should be. So my question is, a) how do I get rid of all those pictures that of some reason seemed to already be on my camera, and b) what should I do to see only one version (the best) of those recently taken? Should I start using a third-party program? In case, which?
As this was the case also with my former HTC Desire, I suppose this is may be an Android case, but on the other hand, I guess several of you may have encountered this.

I had the same problem. To prevent that, I change the import source from the default source that's already selected under "Devices" on the left panel, to the source lower in that same panel, under "Files" where you will see the Windows drive letter that the Android's storage was mounted under, expand that, expand the DCIM folder, and then select Camera. So mine is typically F:\DCIM\Camera. If you have a Mac, I have no idea how the import screen presents files vs devices, but I suspect you'll find it there too.
Sometimes I find that Windows takes a little while to list the Files drive letters, even though it already lists the Android under Devices. If you don't see anything but your computer's normal drive letters, try canceling the import, waiting a few seconds, and then clicking import again. That usually enough time for it to finish mounting/recognizing. I think this is a Windows process, not a Lightroom one, as the drive letters aren't fully accessible in Windows Exporer immediately either.

Since Apple's last Update on 6 June 2014, I have been unable to Import photos from any source. I receive a message saying, Importing photos but nothing happens. When I click on Stop Import, nothing happens. I must press the On/Off button to exit iPhoto.

Since Apples last update on 6 June 2014, I have been unable to Import photos from ANY source. When I attempt to do so, I receive the message "Import Preparing to inmport..." I've waited 10 minutes but nothing happens. When I click on the icon, Stop Import, nothing happens. When I attempt to Close iPhoto i receive the message, "Photos are being imported to the photo library. Please wait for import to complete." When I click on OK, nothing happens. The only way I can exit iPhoto is to press the On/Off button.

After loading this file I was sucessful in importing photos from a web site, my camera memory card and a CD containing photos.
That is a good news. We now know, that iPhoto is working as expected, when you are switching to a different library.
But this is puzzling:
I then see a box with two Librarys listed, both have the same name except for the following and are listed as:
iPhoto Library.photolibrary but one has (default) after its name which is the one which is always displayed when I load iPhoto.
Underneath the box is written:
/Users/paulfkardian/Pictures/iPhoto Library.photolibrary
Underneath this are three boxes titled: Other Library Create New Choose
I highlighted the the File without the (default) after its name and clicked on Choose. A Library was loaded which had my photos (about 9,822) from about 7 months ago. Underneath the box is written diferently than the file always loaded and says:
/Users/paulfkardian/Pictures (original)/iPhoto Library.photolibrary
You are having two "Pictures" folders in your Home folder, Pictures and Pictures (original)? And each has a different iPhoto library - one working correctly, and one not? Do you remember, when this second "Pictures" folder has been created and what caused it? Did you restore your Home folder from a backup some time ago?

Import data into Numbers from web?

Is there a way to import data from the internet directly into Numbers without programming/writing an applescript or using a different program?
Can you do this while using only Numbers and the web?

And how is Numbers to know how to extract the exact data you want from an external source, unless that source is in a format familiar to Numbers, which HTML isn't? For an automated process like this, you will need scripting, and that means learning to program/understand scripts.
For example, here's some HTML code from a web page that includes volume data for one symbol:

Numbers can't interpret this without being told exactly what to extract. Also, Numbers doesn't go out to the web on its own at fixed intervals (as I suspect you may want) without a program telling it what to do. This is just a spreadsheet after all.

Yes, the error message is exactly like that ("Database error: failured to persist version")
No photos will import at all. I use USB to import from iPhone 5s or iPad 2.
About the difference? iPhoto and Photos . Are there two softwares?
I also will like to merge and/or synchronize all my photos I had saved to iCloud backups, Macbook Pro, iPhone 5s and iPad hard drives using iPhoto. It's call iPhoto library. At one point I turned off streaming.

Hi,
Here are the basic steps needed to read data from excel spreadsheet using the Java Excel API(jExcel API).
jExcel API can read a spreadsheet from a file stored on the local file system or from some input stream, ideally the following should be the steps while reading:
Create a workbook from a file on the local file system, as illustrated in the following code fragment:
          import java.io.File;
          import java.util.Date;
          import jxl.*;
         Workbook workbook = Workbook.getWorkbook(new File("test.xls"));
On getting access to the worksheet, once can use the following code piece to access individual sheets. These are zero indexed - the first sheet being 0, the second sheet being 1, and so on. (You can also use the API to retrieve a sheet by name).
          Sheet sheet = workbook.getSheet(0);
After getting the sheet, you can retrieve the cell's contents as a string by using the convenience method getContents(). In the example code below, A1 is a text cell, B2 is numerical value and C2 is a date. The contents of these cells may be accessed as follows
Cell a1 = sheet.getCell(0,0);
Cell b2 = sheet.getCell(1,1);
Cell c2 = sheet.getCell(2,1);
String a1 = a1.getContents();
String b2 = b2.getContents();

It is recommended to, use the close() method (as in the code piece below)   when you are done with processing all the cells.This frees up any allocated memory used when reading spreadsheets and is particularly important when reading large spreadsheets.

The API class files are availble in the 'jxl.jar', which is available for download.

SSIS 2012 is intermittently failing with below "Invalid date format" while importing data from a source table into a Destination table with same exact schema.

We migrated Packages from SSIS 2008 to 2012. The Package is working fine in all the environments except in one of our environment.

But when we reorder the column in "Updated" in Destination table, the package is importing data successfully.
This looks like bug to me, Any suggestion?

Based on my research, the issue might be related to one of the following factors:
Memory pressure. Check there is a memory challenge when the issue occurs. In addition, if the package runs in 32-bit runtime on the specific server, use the 64-bit runtime instead.
A known issue with SQL Native Client. As a workaround, use .NET data provider instead of SNAC.
