Importing swc file (created in FB4.5) in Flash CS5.5

Hallo. I am trying to create a library inside flex. This library includes as files and visual mxml files. I am trying to make this swc communicate with my Flash CS 5.5 application but i can't do it. I just wish to ask you if i can import swc in flash cs5.5 if the swc has been created inside fb and contains mxml files... Is that possible??
Thx
Max

Nobody understand my question or nobody knows the answer?

  • How do I import SWC files created with Flex info Flash CS4?

I've created very nice UI component using Flex 3 and I have exported it into a SWC file.
How can I import it into Flash CS4 to use it there?

Hmm... if you happen to be familiar with C#, then you may probably know about the problem of P/Invoke (this is a command that lets you access Windows API through C# code, which will apparently prevent it from functioning on other OSs).
What happens with Flex framework is somewhat similar to this. I.e. it relies to much on the features of Flex compiler and the components of the framework create a lot of cross-dependencies, which makes them barely usable outside the framework.
So, if you have time and doing this just as a matter of learning, I'd suggest you start an AS project in Flex builder and advance with it compiling it both with Flex and Flash to see if there are any differences (basically, once you see it doesn't compile / doesn't behave as you'd expect in Flash, you'll know you used something that is specific to Flex). These would be mostly meta tags, like [Bindable] for example.
And, if you need any tutorials on how to code in pure AS, then, well, there are really to many So that you can even choose what's appropriate / goes better with your learning habits.
If you like video lessons, there're tons of them at gotoandlearn.com, if you prefer reading documentation, here you go: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/ActionScriptLangRefV3/class-summary.html
if you prefer forums / written tuts, then, kirupa.com, actionscript.org, flashkit.com as well as Adobe forums will provide you with a lot of information.

  • Importing movie files created with SONY HDR-TG5

Having trouble importing movie files created with this camera. Have had success importing direct from the camera using streamclip, but struggling with old files imported from our PC. These files have these two extensions; .modd and .m2ts

    Eric:
Thank you. MPEG Slipstream worked great.
Do you know if there is software available that would let me see what is in/copy the files in the Sony folder so that I might be able to copy the disk directly instead of having to copy the files off of it with Handbrake? Would having the QT add-on for the MPEG-2 playback component be helpful?
    Thanks again

  • Address Book -- Importing CSV File created by Numbers

I'm trying to import a csv file generated from MS outlook into address book. When I attempt to import the csv file that Outlook created, Address Book is able to recognize the file. However, I need to modify the file before importing. To do that, I opened in Numbers, deleted some columns and renamed some columns. Then, I exported from Numbers as a .CSV file. However, when I try to import the .CSV file created by numbers, I get the error that I have modified with Numbers, I get the error "Text file import failure".
Does anybody know why address book can't import a CSV file created by Numbers?

Many people have run into this problem, including myself. I had worked many hours on a spreadsheet in Numbers, exported to CSV, and received the error message when trying to import into Address Book. The answers to this dilemma are out there, but tidbits of the whole answer are spread around discussion boards. So I hope to consolidate those answers here.
The main problem for me -- and it's reasonable to assume that others receive the "Text File import error" for the same reason -- is that 1) I had commas in my spreadsheet, and 2) I had hidden RETURNs in the spreadsheet. Once I got rid of those two things, I had no problem importing into Address Book.
    Deleting Commas>
The problem with commas in your spreadsheet is that the CSV format uses commas to distinguish when a new cell is formed. So having other commas will inevitably confuse Address Book during the attempted import. I didn't have too many commas in my spreadsheet, so I was able to quickly remove them. Yet, if you have dozens or hundreds of cells with commas in them, you'll need an easier solution. I imagine opening Number's Inspector>Cell Inspector>Format will have the solution of removing commas from, say, currency amounts or something else. Yet, how many commas arise in contact information? Perhaps the easiest way is to use the same method of removing those hidden RETURNs. Read on...
    Deleting Hidden RETURNs>
You can't see them, and I couldn't find a "show invisibles" option in Numbers. So you need to search and find them. Yet, how do you search for something hidden? Do the Command-F thing to bring up the search field. The search bar should automatically be ready to search what you type. Hitting the Return key will do nothing for you, but hitting Shift-Option-Return will (you'll likely need to hit Return again to actually perform the search). Numbers will point out how many times these hidden returns are in your spreadsheet, which cells contain them, and give you the option to automatically replace them with something else (a space is a safe option). You can do the same search and replace with commas too.
Save your spreadsheet, export it as CSV, and -- as long as the only errors stemmed from commas and hidden RETURNs -- you shouldn't have a problem having Address Book import it. Good luck!
PS- After importing my spreadsheet, I noticed that some of my Smart Groups in Address Book were not showing some people who should have automatically been in there. The problem was that the Smart Group search had straight apostrophes in it, but the imported contact had curved apostrophes. The computer saw these as two unrelated characters. After some copying and pasting, the problem was solved.

  • Import error when importing .psd file created in Photoshop CS3

I have a file that was created in Photoshop CS3. I am trying to import this file into Catalyst CS5, but I keep getting an input error. I created a file in Photoshop CS5 and I was able to import this .psd file successfully into catalyst. So I guess my question is this; Does Catalyst support .psd files created in Photoshop CS5 only? If this is the case, how can I convert the CS3 .psd to a CS5 .psd

I am now building my files using photoshop CS5. A few challenges I have experienced while trying to import into Catalyst:
    - If I do a straight import into Catalyst, I loose all my colors in Catalyst. That is, catalyst imports all my vectors without any of the colors I had in Photoshop. My understanding is that Catalyst has libraries to support Photoshop files, so your import from Photoshop should not look any different in Catalyst.
Work Around: I have had to rasterize / merged all my image layers for the different components I have built in Photoshop CS5. Then when I start the import process I click the Advanced button on the catalyst import dialog. From the advanced dialog, I have to flatten (to bitmap) all the images I intend to import.
This process takes about two hours because I have a lot of components on the page.
Is there something  I'm not doing right here? I'm not seeing the value add to Catalyst, if it's taking me this long to just import .psd files

  • Can't Import Quicktime Files Created in FCP

    FCP: Version 4.5
    Mac OSX 10.4.7
When finished editing a sequence, I exported it using FILE > EXPORT > QUICKTIME CONVERSION > and selected Quicktime Movie, Broadband Medium. I was very pleased. However, I want to go back and make a minor edit to the footage, but FCP wont let me import the file that was created back into FCP. (It says "Error: Unknown File".) I no longer have access to the original tapes, so these exported files are all I have to work with. Any suggestions on how I can get it back into FCP and do some editing? Thanks.
    G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

It will cost a bit of picture quality, but seems to me you should be able to open these in QT Pro and export them in an editable format like DV, uncompressed, etc... edit them then recompress.
But keep in mind that theory states there will be a digital generation loss doing this. Better to have kept the media or tapes, but then the loss may be OK...

  • Importing OMF files created from Final Cut 4.5

    Hi Guys,
I'm trying to import an OMF file created from Final Cut 4.5 and I'm getting a message saying "skipping audio part- edit point 190316987 too big." After I hit OK, I get thrown out of Logic 7. Has anyone had a similiar message, and if they did what did you do?

  • Importing PSD files create a black line to the right of some images

I am importing PSD files into Framemaker 11 and they keep giving me a vertical line on the right side of some images. I already know that other image file formats don't cause this, but I prefer the practicality of PSD files and not having to deal with duplicate files of the same image. I figured that native Adobe files that are supposed to be cross platform compatible should work without any issues. I get lines when converting to PDF documents and when I print them out also. I’m getting ready to publish our catalog and would like to prevent the printer from cleaning them up again.  Does anyone know how to fix it or if Adobe is currently addressing this issue ? Who can I contact to let them know about the issue, since it has been around from the time Frame started accepting PSD files?
    Thanks,
    Tomas

    Hi ais007,
This is gonna sound really crazy, but this happened to me a couple of years ago. Below is the answer....hope it helps for you!
Found the answer to this in the framers digest mailout (framers Digest, Vol 71, Issue 9). Hopefully it wll help you too.
I am not sure about the Illustrator files, but for Photoshop, resize your images so that the last number is an even number. (example: change 3.25 to 3.24)
This worked for me! I couldn't believe it!
If you don't receive these emails, below is the link to subscribe...they are really helpful. I hope that is the correct link, it has been a while since I signed up.

  • How do I prevent imported Illustrator files from have the jaggies in Flash.

My imported illustrator files have straight angled pipe lines and these have the jaggies when exported from Flash to Premiere or QT.
I have imported them as both vector and bitmap with no success.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.  I'm on a Mac running 10.8.2 and using Flash CS5.5.

Here is a list of caveats from Adobe concerning Flash & Illustrator vector art.

  • Using the recovered files folder in the Trash for Flash CS5 files

I'm creating a complex animation (hand drawing every two frames on a Cintiq) in Flash CS5 and, despite saving, lost the day's work upon my Mac freezing - over 300 drawings, just gone.  The recovered files folder contains /tmp and .dat files, and I've found no guidance online as what to do with these.  Please help!

Those files in the recovered files folder happen when an APP crashes with unwritten data/files.
It's not very likely those tmp or dat files will be of any use, but if critical get HexEdit and open those files for a look...
    http://hexedit.sourceforge.net/
We should work on why the crashes & loses are happening.

  • Is it possible to create a contact form via Flash cs5.5 and package out app for desktop?

I need to create a desktop app for windows.  Im using Flash cs5.5 and I wanted to know of an easy to way to create a simple contact form that would work once installed on a desktop/
    Thanks guys for any input!

If you want a contact form you can either use StageWebView or HTMLLoader to show an HTML page in your web server with a contact form.
Or you can create the form with Flash textfields and then send the whole thing with a POST request to a PHP script in the server, for example.

  • Error while importing WSDL file created in JDeveloper inside BS

    Hi All,
I am facing error while importing WSDL of the DBAdapter service created using JDeveloper inside my business service in OSB.
The error in OSB is 'The Resource Mapped Does not exist'

Which version of OSB are you using? You need to upload schema (.xsd) files as well. WSDL has references to that schema(s) but they are not uploaded hence this error. On sbconsole, if you click on a WSDL name to see it, a button comes with name "Edit References". Click that to point to the xsd's you uploaded.

  • Importing *.avi files created in Audition 1.5

Any of you Adobe boffins taking notice here? Hope so, cos here's a job for you.
Get any *.avi file you like, then load it into Audition (any version, doesn't matter, I've tried this with all of them)
If you are, in fact, lucky enough to get Audition to open the file you've chosen, muck around as much as you want with the audio stream, then export the entire Multisession as an avi, with mp3 audio codec. What I've essentially done here is recreate the audio stream as a 192kbps 48000Hz 32bit mp3, and interleaved it back into the video.
Next, try to get that to import into Soundbooth CS4, or Premiere CS4, or Adobe Media Encoder CS4. I've had nothing short of a pain in the *** to get it to work. It just keeps coming up with, "Unsupported audio rate in file".
Now, remember what I've done. I created this file using Adobe Audition 1.5, and now your super duper mega-expensive piece of **** Soundbooth won't let me work with it, and the other video-editor/creator programs in this 'suite' won't work with the file either!
I've been working with this type of software since the days of Syntrillium's Cool Edit - the program you used as the base for Audition. I've also been remixing music as a DJ for over 20 years, doing video editing for almost 15 years, plus I'm not exactly running a piece of **** machine here. I have all the latest codecs and Windows Updates installed. With that in mind, I will be offended at any such lack of respect, like the, "Have you tried, (Basic no0b-level ******** thing to do)" that you self-proclaimed 'tech-heads' usually reply with. This 'Creative Suite 4 Master Collection' of applications has just cost me $5000, so you can believe my disappointment that it doesn't work!
    System specs:
    Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 motherboard
    Intel E6850 Core2Duo CPU @ 3.2GHz
    4096MB Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 RAM
Twin ASUS EAH2900XT VGA cards (in Crossfire)
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro sound card
Twin Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA-II hard drives in RAID(0)
    Operating systems (dual-boot): Windows Xp Professional X64 SP2 / Vista Ultimate X64 SP1
CS4 Suite installed on Xp X64 SP2, with all latest updates/codec packs, etc. fully installed and activated.

Now, make sure you read and understand
    i everything
    I've written in this reply.
(quote)"AVI is a very, um, "open" format, and heavily dependent on the OS (in your case Windows). "(endquote)
Tell me the truth. You're an American fresh-out-of-college no0b fuckwit, with no 'hands-on' experience at all. (actually, the 'hands-on' experience you
    i do
have is limited to your hands on your dick! For you to send a reply such as the one you have to me, it shows you obviously haven't taken note of my system specs, nor my level of experience with both computers in general and audio/video encoding.
If the correct codecs are installed, it then becomes heavily dependent on the
    i software
and whether it has the capability to 'read' the file. Thing is, even after exporting an 'uncompressed' *.avi, Soundbooth CS4 keeps coming up with, "Unsupported audio rate in file." Remember, this is a 'fully-fledged' install, straight from the DVD discs in the package box, and fully registered with all the Soundbooth CS4-specific codecs it puts in post-registration.
You ask what codecs were used in creating the file that Soundbooth won't open. NONE, you fucken idiot! Uncompressed means exactly that - NO FUCKEN CODEC COMPRESSION! This has happened
    i after
processing the *.avi through VirtualDub, the most widely used
    i codec-independent
program on the planet for uncompressing *avi's, irrespective of what codec has been used to
    i create
    the interleave.
What part of my message, "I've also been remixing music as a DJ for over 20 years, doing video editing for almost 15 years, plus I'm not exactly running a piece of **** machine here. I have all the latest codecs and Windows Updates installed" didn't you understand? I actually
    i re-write
my own versions of Windows, you fucken goose - that's from Windows '95 right up to Vista 64 Ultimate! Maybe you also didn't read the part of my message where I said, "I will be offended at any such lack of respect, like the, "Have you tried, (Basic no0b-level ******** thing to do)" that you self-proclaimed 'tech-heads' usually reply with"
When I say the program doesn't work, I fucken mean it! I'm 40 years old, mate, and haven't got time to be treated like a dumb ****! I've just spend FIVE FUCKEN
    i GRAND
on this software, based on what Adobe has told me about its' capabilities, and when it's not working due to you fuckwit tech-heads not getting it right for an operating system that's over SIX YEARS OLD now, you can expect blokes like me to go off their nut when you treat us like schoolkids!
(quote)"Auditions MP3 exporter, when working with AVI, does not allow 48k sample rate nor does it allow 32 bit sample depth."(endquote)
Well that's just fucken stupid, isn't it? When the program encodes and resamples audio at those bitrates, it won't export it? Honestly, grow a fucken brain and realise how dumb that statement actually is! There are a number of other audio/video editing programs that DO open, render and re-encode at these bitrates. Every other program I use for encoding *.avi's allows me open and work with the files that Soundbooth CS4
    i won't
open on the same OS, namely NeroVision 4 (for DVD-authoring) and other encoding software such as Cucusoft and ConvertX-To-DVD. Even your own program, Audition 1.5, has no problem in splitting 'movie.avi' into audio and video streams - both of which are fully viewable in the multisession.
Soundbooth CS4 is a ****-up, mate, plain and simple. Get a patch out that allows this piece of **** to open an ordinary everyday uncompressed *.avi file, or I want every cent of my money back!
