Importing to LR and Moving Source Files?
Is it "bad" to import to LR and then move the source files? AKA I want to import to LR from files stored locally on my machine and then move that local folder at a later time to an external drive. Will this cause problems and or is there something specific to do so it won't (cause problems?)
Thanks.

Why don't you just import to that external drive and eliminate a step? Seems to me that eliminating the step of moving the photos at a later time makes your work simpler.

I bought a new laptop and used Windows Easy Transfer cable and moved all files from one computer to another. I installed iTunes and found my iTunes music Library. However, when I plug in my iPod it says it is already synced with another iTunes Library.
I don't see anything in Help that shows when you already have transfered all the files over. Why would it want to erase and sync when I already have all the music folder copied over? I didn't have an issue when I had another technician copy from one laptop to another. Home sharing is also on but not being recognized.I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

i downloaded a program and moved the file from which it was orignally downloaded now everytime i open it it says repair now...what do i do to get it to stop doing that...i hit repair now every time and it still says it everytime upon the programs startup
Photoshop needs to be in the folder within Applications in which it was originally created. Put it back where you got it.
Did you actually complete the download process or were you maybe running from the .dmg that you downloaded? -

jpHello,
You should type JAVA_CLASS and JAVA_SOURCE (use underscore instead of space).
impdp john1/john1@me11g22 directory=datadump dumpfile=DEVF2WAR.DMP remap_schema=devf2war:john INCLUDE="JAVA_CLASS","JAVA_CLASS"Best Regards,

RH8 Moved Source File - Moved it back and now can't access...Yikes
I was upgraded to Windows 7 and asked to move all my folders/files to a shared drive so IT could wipe my laptop clean, install W7 and then they reinstalled all my software.
I was careful to move files within their folders. I moved "My RoboHelp Projects" folder with all my projects to our Shared Drive..
When I moved them back to my Laptop, I am unable to open the robohelp project source folder originally created as an .xpj. I receive the following error messages, one saying it can not open the .cpd file. When looked at the file extension of the folder it is a .cpd. How could it change from .xpj to a .cpd???? I'm confused....
Any idea why this happened and how I can recover these projects, other than a kick in the head for moving them???? Thanks!Just to add to Amebr's reply, when the 802 patch was released it had to be treated as an upgraded version for technical reasons. Before the reinstall of Windows you obviously had that patch installed and equally obviously IT did not apply the patches when they reinstalled RoboHelp. Thus when you open a project it knows it is from the "upgraded" 802 version and tells you just that, it then also says it cannot open the CPD, which is what the XPJ does.
Apply the patches and all should be OK.

Import of Prospects Error Message "Source File Not Found"
I have just rebuilt our demo webtools CRM server and am having an issue importing Prospects.
I have tried the Excel option and the CSV Option, but get the same error each time saying "Source Not Found" and a back url (which doesnt work).
I have completed the same functional process and am using the same file to Import the Prospects via (Prospecting > Import, choose Excel, select the file, then click the Upload File & Continue icon) on my old server and this new one. I have also done the same using the SAP Vertical Demo's site and it works fine there so it must be some type of permissions issue.
I am logged in as Administrator and the file to upload is on C:, have also attempted the same with the file in a share with 'everyone' having full access but no change.
Thanks in advance for your assistance with this.
Regards,
Brodie.Hello Brodie,
It could be one of two issues.
1) As you have guessed, it could be a permissions issue. This permissions issue comes from Webtools not having permissions to temporarily store the file while extracting it to the database. Take a look at this thread: [Re: New theme for download - WebCRM theme!] and apply those permissions to the whole assets folder (prospects get uploaded to assets/temp/)
2) Is this an excel file or an CSV file? If it is an excel file, make sure the "Sheet" name matches what is in the box (e.g. Sheet1) if this doesn't match it could cause similar problems.

SQL Loader and weird source file structure
I am familiar with using SQL Loader to process comma or tab delimited text files into proper table data. But how do you process "positionally delimited" files?!
I mean, I have a text file which looks like this:
Item A
---attribute1
---attribute2
---attribute3
---attribute4
Item B
---attribute1
---attribute2
---attribute3
---attribute4
Item C
---attribute1
---attribute2
---attribute3
---attribute4
And so on. How do I tell SQL Loader, 'rows 1, 6 and 11 are the first column in the table; rows 2, 7 and 12 and the second column; rows 3, 8, 13 are the third and so on? I want to end up with data in the form
Item A Attribute1 Attribute2 Attribute3 Attribute 4
Item B Attribute1 Attribute2 Attribute3 Attribute 4
Item C Attribute1 Attribute2 Attribute3 Attribute 4
Is such a thing even possible with SQL Loader? If your data is exactly in that format like in sample provided by Enrique, you can try to play with that certain data pattern. Again, based on previous example:

I recently downloaded acrobat reader dc. After download was complete, I could not open PDF files. Error read "Adobe acrobat reader DC could not open this file because its either not a supported file or the file has been damaged". Any suggestions?
HI davidd92392148,
Is this error occurring for all PDF files that you try to open? There is an issue where all file icons can change to the PDF icon after installation, so is it possible that the files you're trying to open have been affected by this issue (and aren't actually PDF files)? Please see Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon.
If that document isn't the key, then please tell us more about these files. Where are they stored? Did they open in previous versions of Reader?

How to download Oracle EBS patch to import source file into FDQM
Hello Experts,
I am not able to find patches for importing source file from Oracle EBS into FDQM.Actually I have HFM,FDQM,ESSBASE,Planning, erp, epm, calculationManager in my virtual machine.I didn't Install Oracle EBS
Please tell me how to import source file from Oracle EBS like Flatfile from HFM into FDQM and share me what I need to install regarding EBS to Import and register the EBS adapters. It's urgent please share asap.
Thanks in advance.....There are not any EBS Adapters for FDM.
If you are just importing a source file from EBS, you would need to setup an import format to parse the source file in FDm and then assign the import format to the location that will be used to load the target system and run the import process.
If you are looking to pull directly from EBS, you would need to use ERP Integrator (ERPi) to connect to oracle EBS and then use the ERPI adpater in FDM to pull the data from ERPI into FDM.
Can you be specific on what you are looking to do? -
I am trying to free up space on my pc and moving itunes files to external hard drive. I have followed instructions and believe I have file copied to new drive, but I am having trouble moving file to recycle bin as the instructions say. I am getting the following error message: cannot delete ituneshelper.dll:access denied, make sure disk is not full or write protected and file not in use. I know the file is not in use when trying to move. Any help would be most appreciated. I am on Windows XP.
Yes. And you should not have moved that folder. Put it back. To move your iTunes library move the folder from User's Music.

Picking source file A first if source file A and source file B both appear
I have a situation where two source file with two different data format. Hence I will need to create two different mapping
and then different parameters at file sender adapter FCC.
However there is such a condition where source file A will need to process first before picking and process source file B.
if both appear at folder at the same time else source B will be process if no source file A.
Beside using the scheduler at availiablity times at Runtime workbench, if there any other options ?
Regards
Fred
IThere are two different send file adapters involved due to different data format between source file A and B.
Beside using BPM is there any other method.
If doing at adapter module or operating command, how to do it ? -
How to save for web AND overwrite original files with Action?
Hello,
I want to compress a batch of images with "save for web" using a Photoshop Action, and I also want to preserve my folder structure and overwrite source files. The structure is important because it's complex and needs to be structured this way.
The Problem:
When I choose "save for web", I must define a destination. What happens is all optimized files from within the structure are saved in a single location.
Here's an example of the folder structure
Folder A
- Subfolder A1
- Subfolder A2
Folder B
- Subfolder B1
- Subfolder B2
-Subfolder B2.2
Folder C
-Subfolder C1
Summary
Is it possible for me to use a Photoshop Action with "save for web", and overwrite my files without moving them from the structure? No need to re-invent the wheel.
Just learn how to use the Image Processor, Image Processor Pro, or Dr. Brown's Services 1-2-3 in Photoshop and/or Bridge. -
Problem compiling source file in package
Hi, I have 5 source files which I have just packaged together and put in the same sub-directory, the problem is that when I try to compile the file with the main method I get the error message:"cannot read" then the name of the source file. I am compiling from the command line and setting the classpath as I compile with the statement:
c:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin>javac -classpath c:\directory\package directory source file.java
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong and the source files all compiled fine before I added the package statement to the files. Please any help would really be appreciated. It sounds like the java file your are trying to compile is not in the directory you are compiling from.
Is this basically what you are doing?:
Say the package name is mypackage.
Assume we are O.K. with keeping source and class files together.
Create a directory named 'mypackage' somewhere...C:\mypackage\.
Put all the .java files in it (these .java files indicate that they are a member of the 'mypackage' package).
At a command prompt, cd to the directory containing the 'mypackage' directory...'cd C:\'
Compile the source files: C:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin\javac mypackage\*.java
run the main class: C:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin\java mypackage.TheMainClass
Basically, this says keep the files where you want them and point to javac, instead of moving everything under java/bin. btw it will save a lot of typing if you add java/bin to your PATH.
Hope this helps.
