iWeb can't import published files. You need the Domain.sites2 file to open your site in iWeb and publish it...

Error while importing Web Analysis reports using LCM in 11.1.2.1

Hi,
I am trying to import Web Analysis reports using LCM in 11.1.2.1. But while importing the reoprts I am getting the following error:
" The following object couldn't be imported:EPMRAF-31040:Provisioned user couldn't be found in target system."
FYI: Security is already imported successfully in the target system. Including reporting and analysis.

How to use generated code from "Import Web Services" with Cairngorm Framework

I recently downloaded Flex Builder 3 beta 2 and tried out the
wizard that lets you import web services. The code that is
auto-generated makes if fairly straight forward to consume web
services using the object types defined in the WSDL. No longer does
the developer need to decode the XML payload! The only problem I am
having is how does you integrate the auto- generated code with the
Cairngorm framework? This seems like a huge question for anyone who
might want to leverage Cairngorm and the auto-generated proxy code
in the same project (like me).
Here are the problems that I see so far.
1) How do you configure the generated service class to work
with the Cairngorm service locator? The service constructor only
accepts a “LCDS destination string” which implies that
you must use Lifecycle data services. Unfortunately, the project I
am trying to retrofit currently uses a WebService and does not use
data services. All I really need to do is change the endpoint URL
(ie from local to a development server). This issue is noted in the
bug https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-8456. What I think is
needed is a way to set the endpointURI in the Services.mxml file.
2) Even if I come up with a hack around #1, I do not receive
a callback to my IResponder even though I register it immediately
after the method call. I can register and listener function within
my business delegate and receive the callback, but my Command
object, which implements IResponder, does not receive the call back
even though it is registered. From what I read in the ASDocs it
should but it doesn’t for me!
These are the issues I have observed in 3 hours of messing
with this. I hope this makes sense. I would love to integrate
auto-generated web service proxies into Cairngorm but I don’t
see a straight forward way without re-architecting Cairngorm. Has
any one else run across this issue? If so, do you have any insights
on how to proceed? Any help is appreciated.

Since I posted this question, I have abandoned the notion of
auto-generated web services and embraced the good old FDS concept
where the RemoteObject meta-tag does all the conversion work for
me. We are now using the Granite DS package and it is working well
for us. I would love to consume web services, but it just isn't
worth the hassle when all you have to do with Granite (and FDS) is
cast your return objects to the proper object type.
BTW, since this posting, I have investigated competing Flex
app frameworks. After my research, I checked out the PureMVC
framework. Wow!! Cairngorm always left me with an uneasy feeling
and I guess I am not alone. Apparently, Cliff Hall felt the same
way. That is why he started the project. I like his approach alot
more than Cairngorm especially since it includes notifications
which allow me to broadcast my own app level events independent
from the AS Event framework. Check out PureMVC. For what it is
worth, it has my humble endorsement. Cliff was even gracious enough
to acknowledge the other Adobe Consulting guys for their work. Good

Import Web App error

Trying to import web app items, but i get 'An Error Occurred An error occurred processing your last request. Please go back and try again.' Is there something I'm missing?

All I can say is check the file format is right and your web app items do not have any errors.
Ensure URL's do not have any illegal characters in them, ensure ID's not duplicated or in right format, headers untouched etc. You sure it is not giving you any other error note?

Import Web Service Problem

I am using LabVIEW 2011, and I am trying to use the import web service function. I tried to follow the instruction in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4728 When I got to the select method to import section, no methods appeared, unlike the tutorial. Am I doing something wrong? Below is the web service that I tried to import. I didn't enter any authentication or proxy information, since the tutorial didn't say anything about it, and I didn't know what information to enter.

HI, when i import web service into web dynpro model, it asks me to create service group or if i choose no service group configure, it ask me the destionation for metadata and excution. i import service from service registry. what does the service configuration mean? and if i choose no service group, where should i configure the destination?thanks

The metadata and execution destinations are relevant for runtime. On runtime you web dynpro application will access the web services you imported via these two destinations.
You can configure the metadata and execution destinations in the following location:
login on the CE system Netweaver Administrator: http://hostname:portnumber/nwa
On NWA navigate to SOA Management --> Technical Configuration --> Destination Template Management.
In this section of NWA you can define the Metadata and Execution destinations for your web services.

CAF service: import web services using Remote Location / File System

Hallo Experts
I use the NetWeaver DevStudio 7.1 SP5.
I have a CAF project and in this project I want to import one WebService as external service. I have chosen the option "Remote location/ File System" in the import web service wizard, then I enter the URL in the following step. But at the end of wizard I got the error "WSDL could not be downloaded because Server returned HTTP response code 403 for URL". The web service I've deployed and tested on the server. It runs well. Any Hints?

I found out: if I enter one URL "http://xxxx.xx.ch:51000/ExampleService/ExampleBean?wsdl&mode=ws_policy". Afterwards I got the error "http://xxxx.xx.ch:51000/ExampleService/ExampleBean?wsdlmode=ws_policy". & ist not correct displayed. Is this the problem that I got 403 Error... It is a bug in SP5

Pulling Data from an imported web service into a data grid - Flex 3.0

I have created a web service from Oracle using JDeveloper and imported it into my Fex 3 project, and I am trying to populate a data grid with the data from the web service. I was trying to emulate the example found in my Adobe Flex 3.0 for Dummies book (see http://dougmccune.com/flexfordummies/chapter14/srcview/index.html), and while the code from the book with that data service works fine, I can't get my application to work. My issue is with the part of code mx:DataGrid dataProvider="(service)" - I do not know how to specify what to use for the data source to populate the data grid from my imported web service. Can I import web content to keynote

Can I import web content to keynote? I want to use existing content including colours, fonts, pictures etc. Eventally I will probably also go generate webpage from keynot, but thant is another question!

Yes you can do that. You can either merge the two Domain.sites files into one with iWebSites or use them independently by renaming one of the to SiteName.sites and then use iWebSites to open them independently and publish independently.
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

Importing webi reports outside BO

I'm thinking about importing webi reports outside of BO server -- and I need some help.
I know how to import webi into pdf, excel etc but they remain on BO server unless you save them on local machine.
I also know how to send reports to people using scheduler inpdf, excel formats.
I'd like to know if there is way to schedule multiple reports (say 100 reports) and generate them in excel and then store them on external server (or maybe on same BO server machine but in a folder).

Before you can see FTP or Unmanaged Disk (fale share) destinations while scheduling, those have to be enabled in CMC for the Job and Destination Job servers.
Please review Admin guide on how to do that in CMC and User Guide that explains how to use those while scheduling.

I can't use "Import Web Service".

Hi, I can't use "Import Web Service" in LabVIEW Web UI builder.
I write IP:8080 and click on Connect.
And it says "No Web ervices found on the server".

So ... I've tried this building web service from tutorial and when I'm on the step when I have to deploy a Web Service to the Web Server I have a problem.
I rightclick on My Web Service under "build specifications" and click to deploy and I get this message in attachment.
My question is how can I start the web server ?

Importing Web Service in SAP CPS

Hi everyone,
Build version M33.104.
We are trying to import web services using the WSDL url.
When i use a URL, that doesn't prompt for userid/password, it is possible to import the job definition.
When i use a URL, that prompts for userid/password (when access through browser), the import fails at initial parsing.
I maintained a credential with SOAP protocol and endpoint URL same as the WSDL url.
Still no luck. Please let me know what am i doing wrong?
To make sure i'm not missing any per-requisites:
I do have an empty slot in WebServices.OutboundServer.limitdoes that mean i have to create a process server? is yes how?
Maintain the credentialI have maintained the credential, but how does the import web services job definition know to use that credential. In other words, how does the credential and Import_Web_Service job definition are linked?

Hi Nanda,
The endpoint s/b the hostname, for example https://hosti23csd01.company.com:50001, could you ask the middleware expert what the valid authentication protocols are ? As Gerben said, we need basic authentication. The "endpoint" is only used to count the outbound web services ... it has little to do with the code.
You can get NTLM/NTLMv2 to work, but that requires external libraries (JCIFS) and it requires you to hack support into the Java code. Means you have import the JCIFS jar file into a library, and write the authentication code yourself in the redwood script job definition.
You do not need a web services process server, web services are supported via RedwoodScript (the Java-like language).
Oh, and the error you are getting is because CPS does not support importing WSDL's for which authentication is required, this is the error you are getting.
Can you download SOAPui and test with that ? If you can get the web service to work in SOAPui, we would need to know the authentication protocol used. Is the remote server running on Windows or UNIX ?
One other thing, you might be able to configure the web service if you go to https://hosti23csd01.company.com:50001/nwa/ssadmin.
You can go to https://hosti23csd01.company.com:50001/wsnavigator to test it.

I wanted to know whether we can import Web Dynpro DC in 2004s that was Build n Deployed using 2004 . As we are upgrading from 2004 to 2004s.I tried to do the above test for a sample local DC of web Dynpro which i had developed in 2004 and deployed it on WAS 6.4 ,I then Imported the same DC in 2004s and tried to Rebuild the DC for deploying it on WAS 7.0 but it gave following ERROR !!

Importing web project into Workshop 9.2

Hi,
I'm trying to import an existing web project into Workshop 9.2.1 from my Subversion source. Unfortunately Workshop doesn't recognize this project as a valid web project.
I imported the code project using 'File>Import>Existing Projects' into Workspace.
Unfortunately, I get the following errors:
- "The library module reference : beehive-netui-1.0 is not allowed from the classpath of a non-web project, only JAR,EJB, and EAR module types are allowed."
- "The library module reference : jstl is not allowed from the classpath of a non-web project, only JAR,EJB, and EAR module types are allowed."
How do I tell Workshop that this project is indeed a web project?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Wow.... I figured out a workaround (aka Ugly Hack). It seems that Workshop doesn't properly import Portlet projects. Here's how I got around it:
1. Checkout the code from Subversion
d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\
2. Move MyComponent to a temp directory
d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\ --> d:\tmp\MyComponent
3. Open Workshop and create a new Portal project and PortalEAR project of the same name as the MyComponent projects
File>New myComponentPortal
4. Copy over the src and WebContent directories in the SVN directory with the files from tmp.
d:\tmp\MyComponent\src -> d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\src
d:\tmp\MyComponent\src\WebContent -> d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\WebContent
5. Refresh Workshop and let the spooky voodoo happen. Viola! Now I've got a running portal project with a SVN connection.

Web Dynpro Import Web Service Model - not a valid NCName

Hi people,
We are having a problem while importing a WSDL as an Adaptive Web Service Model in Web Dynpro (CE 7.2 SP03).
The error is the following:
"Definition of qualified base /schema/element[5]/complexType/sequence/element[4] is not correct. The value of property is not a valid NCName."
We tried importing the same WSDL in other tools (XML Spy and SOAP UI). With these tools it could be read without errors and were able to successfully call the service.
The point is, why the import fails in Web Dynpro if the WSDL can be read in other tools ? Can we do something in WD to import the WSDL that is supposed to be "not correct" ?

Hi Pranav,
I was facing this issue sometime back and i figured out that the ABAP proxy namespace in my case had a '/' in it, because of which the internal name of the service had a '/' character too.
And this was unacceptable for the endpoint binding name in my case.
Since it is occuring for you in case of the service name (i figured it out from attribute definations/services@name), check if the proxy name have a special character like '/'.
