Importing Worksets from another Portal

I have two portals Dev and QA. In QA I have the Workset Folder but no content.
I have tried exporting from Dev to QA and it seems to have worked and tells me that I have imported the Workset into QA.
However, when opening the Workset folder in QA there is nothing there.
Am I missing a step in the transport process?

Nothing silly!
Under system administration > export > portal content
Right click on it and select new transport package.

Use AIM for Mac and use the Export and Import features.
Other than that it is a question on making sure every Single Buddy has more than just their Screen name in the IChat Address Card so it is added to the Address Book and dragging them back from there

Import tags from another catalogue without develop settings

How do I import tags from another catalogue but not the develop settings of each image?
Here's whats going on:
I started with 5000 images on a hard drive. I gave a copy to someone else working on the project.
I physically moved images into real folders and edited all the shots.
She left all the images where they originally were and tagged each image.
I want to combine her tags with the edits that I've done, with the images in their new locations I've made.
I have a copy of her catalogue file.
I tried importing her catalogue into mine- which will pull her metadata tags, but only also with pulling her develop settings which resets all my work.
How can I import ONLY her metadata tags?
I can't open her catalogue and write the tags into XML sidecars because I've moved the images from where her catalogue says they are.
I realize we should have done this differently from the beginning, but with that being said- if I could import only her metadata tags then that should work. But Lightroom 4 only gives the options of importing BOTH metadata and develop settings.
Any ideas?

One option (backup your catalog first):
* Import her catalog (apply metadata and develop changes), which adds a "Paste Settings" step to the edit history.
* Restore previous develop settings using ScrewAutoSync, to roll back the settings by one step, to pre-"Paste Settings" state. - just make sure you *don't* do this to photos that weren't changed by the catalog import. One way to do that is to apply a no-op (do nothing) preset to all photos before importing the catalog (that way if you inadvertently roll 'em back one, they'll be the same as they were). You must create a no-op preset by hand, or use this:

Chrome missing in Import data from another browser

I use both chrome and firefox portable from site portableapps because mozilla doesn´t have a portable version.
My dilemma today is this:
I always had on firefox on menu "import and backup" > > "import data from another browser" listing chrome like this

today i want to import chrome bookmarks to firefox but chrome is missing on the list, in the past i always had it there listed now is just pointing to IE
Do i need chrome installed on machine to grab something from registry?
By what i can remember always had that option on portable versions, i am importating this with a fresh pc machine because i installed now windows where i previously wiped the disk from manufacturer erasing tool.
i digged the net and on questions here but cant find why its missing, can you guys tell me why?
P.S- i would like to say that this site, Mozilla and Mozilla support, forums and community are the best service i´ve seen in years over the whole web i believe its really the best one and am not writing this because of this question, only thing missing is having Mozilla apps portable, a online chat would be cool too for the community

Which that version you probably need to export the bookmarks to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.
You can open the Bookmarks Manager in Google Chrome (wrench icon > Bookmarks > Bookmarks Manager) and select "Tools > Export Bookmarks"<br />
This will export the Chrome bookmarks to a file bookmarks.html.<br />
You can import that file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML : "From File"

I would like to import my bookmarks from IE but the 'Import Data from Another Browser' is greyed out and not an available choice.

By following the directions on Firefox to open up the Library tool - import & backup - The drop down choice to 'Import Data from another Browser' this choice is greyed out and unavailable. I do not know how to proceed in order to import my favorites from IE.

My hard drive failed. I was able to restore my files from an external hard drive. I have my bookmarks saved but am not able to import them into Firefox as the only option is to import them from another browser. Any suggestions?

In Firefox the bookmarks are saved in a database file called places.sqlite in the profile folder. If you have got this file from the external hard drive you can restore the bookmarks by copying this file to your current profile folder. Import data from another browser - Only few IE9 favorites get transfered to bookmarks. HTML solution - HTML file all favorites correct, but same result

Win7 / IE9: First time use. Example: One favorites folder has 4 HTML entries - only 2 get transferred. Some have none transfered - folder empty. Others have random correct + some missing.

I can see complete IE9 Favorites HTML list in HTML file on Desktop with Firefox -> New Tab -> Open File.-> Open
In desktop HTML file, there are 37 IE9 folders with no more than nesting 3 deep in any one top folder. These are all correct wrt IE9 favorites.
All top folders + deepest nests are copied to FF ok. Contents random. Copied contents work ok
7 HTML web sites not allocated to IE9 top folders are also copied <- these 7 copy to FF and work ok
Example: First folder in IE9 list has no nesting., IE9 has 4 entries - Firefox has only 2. when either method of copying is used.
BTW - please advise how I can delete whole Bookmark list in Firefox in one keystroke to be able to retry with a clean Bookmark list
I am going to uninstall Firefox and start again with a clean copy and use HTML method only to try to transfer IE( files. I will report result.
BTW, I am in UK on UK time - hence delays in replying - need to sleep sometimes!!!!!

I uninstalled Firefox. Re installed and loaded IE9 favorites from HTML file.
All seem copied correctly
First time I started by using the "import data from another browser". Partial copied.
Then I tried "Import from HTML file" without deleting whatever favorites had been copied. Still partial copied.
All seems well.

Why the "Import Data from Another Browser" option cannot be chosen

I click on History on the menu, then, Show All History option, a new window appears called Library.
I click on the button: 'Import and Backups', a drop down menu appears with the option 'Import Data from Another Browser'; however, this option in my browser is light gray, i.e. I cannot choose it. Why?

Are you in the Private Browsing mode when you try that Import menu item?

Connecting a KM repository from another portal to KM via WebDAV - meda data

we are evaluating the option of connecting a KM repository from another portal to KM via WebDAV in our Federated Portal Scenario (in fact, we wish to get rid of the the remote roles as soon as possible).

One question : in case meta- data properties are set, where are these stored? In the consumer portal, or in the source system, the producer portal?
I.e when I set properties on documents of the WebDav repository, and I go to the source system, will the same meta- data properties be set there?

For testing I've integrated the remote KM repository as WebDAV and enabled the properties repository service :
- custom meta- data defined on the source (producer) KM system is not visible in the consumer portal if no value has been set on the source system :
Let's say you have a property 'country' on the source system, define a value for it + save, you can view the property in the consumer system.
- if you define both the same properties in consumer & producser system, you can view the properties in both system, and the value set in either one of the systems is displayed in both of them.
In short : the custom meta-data properties need to be defined on both systems

Sorry for the long delay. I have Windows 8.1 and using Lightroom 5.7 I have organized my unedited RAW format photos in files on my hard drive in folders in My documents/pictures. Once I edit them I move them to another folders on a separate drive and discard the rejects.
When trying to access my documents by selecting .File - Import from another catalog- my documents/ pictures; I see the folders, however when I select it, it says No items to match your search When using the drop down menu on the lower right I can only see the images if I click on "all files" and when I click on the image I want to import, it says "Lightroom cannot import this catalog; "The catalog does not appear to be a valid Lightroom catalog"
All of this happend when I loaded a Cannon Pro 100 printer plug-in. I tried to disable the plugin, but It is still happining and cannot access the images.

Viewing the content from another portal

there are 2 portals portal A and portal B. In portal A i have certain worksets. now i have to view these worksets from portal B.
i have created a system for this in portal B. but how to view the worksets?

Can't import photos from another machine???

I have downloaded a few albums on another machine and then brought a copy home to put on my iPhoto library but every time I try to import I get an error message saying:
'+The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data).+'
All the images are in Jpeg format!

they are in my iPhoto Library
How did they get there? iPhoto will not import pics from the active iPhoto Library Folder - a protection against duplication. There is never a need for the user to enter that folder and anytime you do you risk damaging your Library.

Importing variables from another page in jsp

Hey.
I want to make two pages. I want the first page to include the variables from another page or POJO.
I did this but i cant use the variables in index.jsp without initializing them first. But when I initialize them i get an error when trying to initialize them two times.
if i use the variable in index without saving i get an error in eclipse.. but it works if i save and deploy.
Is there any way to make eclipse see that i have imported the variable?
The pages look something like this:

Print the number from the extra page
<%= number %>extra.jsp
int number = 32;I plan using this in a much greater system so I would appreciate any help.

Import file from another CMS (SharePoint) repository

Given:
Documents reside in various SharePoint Site Collections.
Book is saved to Site Collection #1
Using FrameMaker's CMS functionality, I am able to easily browse multiple repositories (each repository representing a connection to a different SharePoint Site Collection).
How can I import, via reference or copy, a file from Site Collection #2? The options to browse to another repository, by URL, or by local file system are grayed out. It would appear that I am only able to import files from within the same site collection that my book exists in.

Is this a bug or limitation of the software? Any chance this will be fixed in an upcoming update?

Photos aren't "in" Photoshop. They're in the Finder and has just been set to use Photoshop to open them.
You can import files into iPhoto by
The File -> Add to Libary command
Drag and Drop to either the iPhoto window or the iPhoto icon.
