Imposible use new iphone 5
Hi,
have a very big problem with one new iphone 5.
In october travel to Chile for work and was the b-day of my husband and buy one iphone 5 in a Movistar market.
They tell me that all mobile seller in Chile are Unlock, for this reason buy this mobile, but the problem was for activate, because is unlock, but only for use in Chile ( Country Unlock).
I call many time to Movistar (operator in Chile) and they can`t help me, because they insist in that my iphone is completly unlock, but apple dont say the same and show me that my iphone continue with the country unlock.
Movistar say they cant do nothing, because dont have more option and have to contact with Movistar Spain ( this is not correct because is a diferent company) and the Apple Store and Apple Care tell me that movistar is the only can help me, and i`m in a continue loop without solution.
Someone have any idea for what can i do? in the apple store tell me that my best option, is sell this mobile because i never can use if movistar dont have a solution for me.

Begin to use new iphone after sostitution
Hi, the battery of my old 3gs swelled literally out of the case so Apple replaced it with a new one.
All data were lost but ok, not a big deal.
I wanted to use it, just to play some apps, but I cannot set it up.
I can set the language, set the country and choose country and my home wi-fi but after that, when it's said "activating Iphone", the answer is
"sorry we are unable to.." and it doesn't show me what the are unable to do, and it's written please try again later or contact customer care ( € 35,00 !!!).
I do not have a SIM for this old Iphone, maybe this is the problem?

FirenzeYou can not activate the phone without a SIM. If it is carrier locked, it must be from the correct carrier.
The SIM does not have to be tied to an active line of service, but it MUST be present. There is no way around this. -

Help! I have a new iPhone 5s. My husband just lost his 4s, so I want to give him my 4s. We want to use same Apple ID so we both have access to itunes/apps purchases. Want to separate contacts, messages, mail, etc. I cannot change iCloud address on 4s iPhone. Also, when I tried to change iMessage I got a message that if I deleted my id (which seemed to be the only way to get my husband's I'd there), I would not be able to receive iMessages on any device.

I would just follow the instructions from this article to give your unused 4s to your spouse. Since you have already started using your 5s, you will still be receiving iMessages on that phone and will have no need to receive them on a device that has been replaced. How do I replace someone else's Mac ID with my own?
Bought iPhone second hand on TradeMe.
Previous owner re-set the phone but his ICloud account stayed on now my phone. He uses his AppleID on his new iPhone now and, understandably, does not want to give me his password. Any ideas?? Please.
This issue is blocking my access to iTunes and any other file from my home computer. It keeps on telling me that I have to autorise my computer to pass on files, yet, it seems, for all this to happen, I need to get logged in through the phone's Apple ID. This of course is different to my one on my computer - and I have no password for it.
This phone is not stolen!! I payed still a fair bit for it. Am still in contact with the previous owner. He doesn't know how to fix the problem either.
Would appreciate any suggestion ????

I just bought a second iPhone 5. I want to back up my first one to iTunes and then wipe it so my husband can use it. Then, I want to reload everything to the new iPhone that was on the first one. Advice?

Turn off imessage in settings/messages
Turn off Facetime in settings/Facetime
Delete icloud account in settings/icloud
Erase all data and settings in settings/general/reset
Delete the phone from your profile in https://supportprofile.apple.com if you registered your phone there

Some advice from various locations on the web (use google). Each works for some users, not all. Give these a try.
Try to deauthorize the computer then authorize it.
select song or app. that's not authorized, itunes will ask for your password, enter password, click ok, and ok again. Done.
I had the same problem when I switched from my laptop to a macbook. What I figured out was that I had purchased applications under two different email addresses. You can click on one of the applications that is not syncing and go to "File" then "Get Info" to find out what email address you used to purchase those applications. Hopefully this helps.
Sometimes a reboot of either the computer or the iPhone or both fixes this, if you’ve authorized already. -
I upgraded from Iphone 3g to iphone 4. I had to update my macbook pro to Lepard just to sync. the **** thing with the new iphone 4. I bought and updated to lepard. Now when I try to sync itunes does not recognize my new iphone 4 as mine and wants to erase everything I have bought using the phone before it will sync! It says everything on the phone now will be cleared in order to sync it with my existing info on the computer from my previous iphone. How can I just get everything from my current iphone 4 into itunes, basically add it to the info from my previous iphone 3g that is currently in my itunes? I dont want to lose what I have on my phone currently....I paid money for half the apps for crying out loud.
I was so frustrated by this when I first bought the phone that I just pushed it out of my mind and NEVER synced it. Please help...Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

No, but you do not need iTunes to setup a new iPhone 5s. Create an iCloud backup for anything you want to transfer to the new iPhone.
