Unfortunately, as recommended by the lady from CA, as long as the Mac is still associated with the Apple ID of the original owner, you can't even buy those iLife apps with that Mac. You will always get the alert to download them with the original owner's Apple ID.
As suggested by the chavo from España, you need the original owner to contact Apple Care* and request that the OS and the iLife apps be disassociated from his Apple ID. Then you should be free to OS X Recovery to resinstall the most recent version of OS X that shipped with the Mac and install the iLife apps. Afterward, before using any of the iLife apps you need to open the Mac App Store (MAS) to the Purchases pane and Accept these apps into your MAS account's Apple ID. If you use any of the iLife apps before you have accepted them into your account, as per the app's Terms of Use, they all become one-trick-ponies that can not be downloaded onto another Mac or updated.

What do you mean by "power surge alert"? What exactly does it say when you try to connect it? If you're talking about the message about a USB device drawing too much power, that can sometimes be caused by a bad cable or something stuck in the port. Do you have another cable you can try?

I just moved to Germany, I want to know if an adapter and converter is needed to charge my iPod, iPhone and MacBook Air is needed or can I simply use an adapter? Will the voltage automatically change?

I am having a really hard time with keeping my charger on the adapter/converter that I bought for my trip but I also bought an adapter and with that my charger doen't fall and my apple products would be able to charge withought me having to hold the charger in place. I want to know if the converter is needed or if I only need the adapter. I do not want to blowout my iPhone, iPod or my MacBook Air.

All that is requried is an inexpensive plug adapter. Apple's power adapters themselves will work with any utility power on Earth. Non-Apple power adapters may not.

How do I prevent my iPhone 4 from turning off randomly while charging and connected to MacBook Air?

My iPhone 4 randomly powers down while charging via USB to my MacBook Air. This has happened twice while I was sleeping and always makes for a great morning. Here's what happens:
I keep my iPhone 4 ON and connect it to my MacBook Air - battery charge level is typically around 20%
I keep my MacBook Air connected to AC power
I go to sleep
I wake up without my alarm and find my iPhone is now OFF
I turn it on and find the charge level to be at 100%
It seems to only happen when connected to the MacBook Air. Has anyone else seen this or have a potential remedy to this issue?

Après avoir assuré une charge de batterie sur mon appareil iPAD 32GB, il m'est impossible d'allumer l'écran. Il reste noir avec par moment un petit halo bleuté.

Generally, the blue screen or blue halo is not a good thing. If you tried resetting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons wit bout favorable results, the next step would be to restore the iPad.

What happens when you tap "Ouvrir dans iBooks" instead? Does it still crash?
You can also use a different PDF document (sent via Adobe Send) to see if the crash is file-specific.
