Impossible to access catalogue due to unexpected error
Hello eveyone,
I have been using LR 5 for quite some time.
Working just fine.
I got a new I Mac in replacement of my old one but since I changed I cannot access my catalogue (xxx.lrcat) usually located in a special dedicated desk external hard drive.
When I tell LR to load this catalogue, I get the following error message:
"impossible to open catalogue due to unexpected error"
Anybody knows that the problem could be?
Thank you for your help...

yogeshHi Yogesh - when you say "i don't think the file is corrupt, because it works fine in eclipse", do you mean, you are actually able to publish them to a server and test those out?
Dont know your exact scenario, but when you say that you took the sbconfig from another machine and used it on your local system, cant we just go ahead with that? I mean, clean up your code base, and then import this latest "working" sbconfig and start afresh?

I am unable to open Lightroom 5 catalogs due to "unexpected error"
I cannot currently open Lightroom. Each time I try it tells me that the catalog could not open due to an "unexpected error". I get this error for every catalog and every backup. I can't even seem to create a new catalog successfully. Any help would be great.
Did a site search for "unexpected error" not turn anything up?
What about the linked posts to the right of this page under "More alike This"? -
EMC initialization failed due to unexpected error

I am worrying like anything since morning. I do not know what happened but my EMC is not opening in Exchnage 2010 Sp2.
ERROR:
unexpected error [0x78D6DC13] while executing command 'Get-LogonUser'
Please suggest us something.
Though exchange working fine, i have to work through EM Shell. :(
Regards, Jay.Hi,
You can try the following solution and check the result:
Simple solution: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Bin\CmdletExtensionAgents\ScriptingAgentConfig.xml" was defect.
Repair it (I copied a working one from another node) and all works fine again.
If you do not need it, delete it and then run >>Disable-CmdletExtensionAgent “Scripting Agent”<<
Hope this helps!
Thanks.

After Effects doesn't start due an unexpected Error.
I downloaded & installed After Effects through the Creative Cloud client in my macbook pro 15" (Retina), but the program doesn't start. There's always the same error message (sorry, it's German): "After Effects kann nicht fortgesetzt werden: Unerwarteter Fehler beim Starten der Anwendung", which means something like there's an unexpected error while starting. I deinstalled it, downloaded it again, always the same - its that a known problem and how can I solve this?
Kein Plan. Unerwartete Fehler sind eben genau das - unerwartet. Was sagt das Crash Log zu dem Thema (auf Report klicken, wen ndie entsprechende Warnung kommt) oder rausfischen: Working with your Operating System’s Tools?

Lightroom V3 unable to import catalogue due to unknown error
Mac OS X 10.6.4
I have Lightroom V2.6 and V3 beta 2. I have just purchased Lightroom V3 upgrade.
I installed Lightroon V3 and upon first start up imported my V2 catalogue (only one catalogue on V2 exists) - this has worked fine.
I also have a single catalogue on V3 beta 2 that I need to import.
V3 began importing Lightroom catalogue V3 (beta 2) but stopped with the following message:
Lightroom could not import this catalogue because of an unknown error.
I understand from trawling these forums that Lightroom V3 may have a bug in relation to importing duplicate files from previous catalogues but in my case I cannot see any files or folders that have been imported from Lightroom V3 beta 2 - the majority of the folders or files catalogued in V3 beta 2 have never been catalogued in Lightroom V2.
Any ideas for a fix? It'sa bug. Duplicate folders prevent the import. You'll have to wait for 3.1 along with the rest of us.
The folks at Adobe know about it, but you can file a bug report if you wsh. -

Unable to open catalog due to "unexpected error"
Anyone else see this error message? Rebooted, checked disc, etc. Other catalogs open just fine, but this is my main/current catalog.
OS 10.9.5
Using an external GTech drive for LR catalog and raw files.
I fortunately back up each time I close LR, so I used the last backup and was able to load the catalog. Looks like the last import didn't make it, but I recovered the files from the camera card.
Looks like I am ok, but it is unnerving to say the least. I'd love to know what caused it, so that I avoid the minutes of terror before I figured out the work around.
Backup, backup, backup.
Thanks for responding, Geoff.

The setup process failed : your setup not started due to unexpected error
I have Windows 7 / Outlook 2007
removed all old versions of iCloud
downloaded it again
ran setup
signed on
selected Calendars / Contacts / Reminders
Step 1 of 7 started - copied outlook calendar
Step 2 failed with error message as above
I have checked on line and iCloud has all of my Reminders and correctly updates to / from my iPad
Contacts added in iPad and in iCloud don't sync at all
calendar updates in iPad don't get updated in iCloud neither does it work the other way roundI found a "solution" in amongst the discussion threads of downloading iCloud v1 which I did and it seems to work now. The issue does indeed seem to be with v2 of iCloud. I'll waste no more time now...

I can not access iTunes due to 0x80092013 error
I have tried everything to get rid of this error... Including having the geek squad take a look at it. Their last resort recommendation was to reinstall Windows 7. Apple support has sent me information, but nothing has worked. The advisor I spoke with yesterday told me this was a window configuration issue and I needed to call Microsoft. Has anyone else had this error and been able to get past it? I did try loading a previous version (back to 11.0.0.2). That got rid of the error, but it became unresponsive once it tried to connect to iTunes store.
Home Screen in iTunes... do you mean the store?
if so, help you with this problem, this article may

After windows 8.1 update catalog can not open due to unexpected error
after my windows update the lightroom app will not open. i'm not tech savvy at all and don't know what to do to have this taken care of and being that I bought the product 112 days ago and not 90 or less I cannot speak to someone directly to help with the issue please help anyone if you can.
Try holding down the Ctrl (Win) / Command (Mac) key while launching Lightroom. This should get you the Catalog Manager. From here, create a new catalog and see if that opens. If it does, import your old catalog into it and it will most likely continue to work after that.

Hi all...
Suddenly, I'm getting this error message when I try to open ARD. It was working a week ago and I'm not aware of changing anything. Any advice?
This is the 3.6.1 version of the ARD admin and I have the 3.6.2 Client installed (that was the way it was before, too, when it was working).
Note: I did try a fix from the forums that was posted in 2009, which required deleting the ARDAgent from the RemoteManagement folder in System/Core Services... and then reinstalling again using the Apple ARD Admin download for same. It worked for one run of the program, then the error came back.

Hmphf.
You may have to reinstall the Remote Desktop SW. See if that helps.
I don't think it's a coincidence that this update "fixed" the Remote Desktop SUID warning, and it also removed the potential update from my computer which I had placed on "Ignore" since I did not need it and did not need the warning, either. So there is a connection between this update and the Remote Desktop SW.
