Impossible to "Allow guests to log into this computer"

Hello,
In leopard 10.5.4 : I want to create a "guest user account".
In the "prefpan" : I select the line "Allow guests to log into this computer" by clicking the checkbox; then the system (the prefpan windows) freeze with the "propeller" turning arround.
After I must restart the system, by pushing the start button behind the iMac, because it's impossible de shutdown by the apple menu.
Could you help me to create my guest user account ?

Did you already activate iCloud on your iPad, Settings > iCloud.
Then on your computer you can go to https://www.icloud.com/

Ditto. Guest accounts shouldn't have a password. No way to enter one in System Prefs...

My password only works to log into the computer, but not to make admin changes, even though I am the admin account on the computer. This happened after I tried to change the computer's name. Is there any way to fix this?

Bought my laptop off my room mate and he had master reset it to default. This still left his name as the computer name and I wanted to change that. Tried to rename it under the advanced changes section, and now it isn't recognizing my password for anything more than logging in. I can't unlock the settings to make further changes (or change it back). I have had my room mate try all of his old passwords and usernames, to no avail. Is there a way to reset this? Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Going out on a limb, try deleting Cookies and Website data from Safari.

How would I create a screen with links after a person logs into their computer?

I have been asked to create a custom welcome screen that would load after a person logs into their computer . This screen is to have links to a couple of items.
but I need this to show after they log in and before they see their desktop.
How do I do this or even accomplish this?

According to your description, it really seems like a start screen in Windows 8\8.1, after user logs on to the system, he will first see a "start screen" with tiles (links to an App) on the screen, then he can manually swith to the classic desktop if he
want.
But in Windows 7, I never saw this kind of settings, for VB6 and HTA page, seems more related with development, if so, I suggest you post in this forum

Test after taking each of the following steps. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved.
2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly."
3. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.

Due security concerns we need to disable an option "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" on our laptops. Unfortunately we haven't found a way to do it. Is there any possibility to configure this with group policy, registry value or script?
