Impossible to connect with a recreated account

Question

Hi !
I can't understand why I can not connect with a new account that I created, I checked all the datas and they're good.
But it's an account I used with succes before on this Mac, and deleted because I thinked not to have to use it anymore.
Maybe there is some "bug" in this specfic case (recreation af a deleted account), maybe it's because I have done some update (but which one ???)

I've experienced something alike, in my case the cause was an incomplete apex images directory.
In my case, there is a database server and an Oracle Application Server running apache, I'm assuming you have a similar setup with an apache server.
The issue you described was solved by deleting the old images directory and put a fresh copy of the images directory from the apex installation set into the apache directory.
The path to your apache images directory should be similar to this one
+<drive>\oracle\product\10.1.2.3\Apache\images (windows)+
+/u01/apps/oracle/product/10.1.2.3/apache/images (linux)+
Since there are a lot of images in the images directory I decided to create a subdirectory apex_images to place the images into.
So my path is +<drive>\oracle\product\10.1.2.3\Apache\images\apex_images\apex+
For the images, scripts, css etc to be available to apex, you should add an entry in your dads.conf, which can be found in your Apache\modplsql\conf directory
above the +<location>+ tags there should be a line like
Alias /i/ "<drive>:\oracle\product\10.1.2.3\Apache\images\apex_images\apex/"
I dont know why there is a forward slash in the path (especially because the path contains backslashes).
You need to stop/start you HTTP_server for the changes to take effect.
All this can also be found in the Apex installation manual, the section covering the HTTP server configuration.
Another thing coming to my mind, is that javascript might be disabled in your browser?
