  • I cannot download photos from my apple iphone 4

I cannot download photos from my apple iphone 4. I rang apple who took me through some instructions and talked me through to what to do. We tried both a laptop pc (windows 7) and an apple macbook pro and tried two different cables.
Cannot seem to download any photos at all, both laptop do not seem to recognise the device.
Apple told me to email the photos, this is impracticle as there is such a large quantity.
My issue is still not resolved.
    Can you help??

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

  • Problem with downloading photo from iCloud to iPhone's Photo Stream

    Hi Apple Support,
I have two apple device, one iPad and one iPhone. For iPad, I turned on 'My Photo Stream' and 'Shared Photo Streams' function before, but iPhone not, and I installed iCloud client at my Win7 PC, so any photos which created by iPad will upload to iCloud and iCould will post them to my Win7 PC, it's perfect!
But.. Here is the problem, I turned on 'My Photo Stream' and 'Shared Photo Streams' function at my iPhone now as well, however the previously photos which created by iPad cannot download to my iPhone's 'Photo Stream', thats mean I cannot download any old photo from iCloud to iPhone's Phone Stream, can I know is this a problem or not? Thanks!
AFAIK, Microsoft's Skydrive could download any files from cloud to end user's device, cant Apple make it as well?

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though a rolling collection of up to 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted.  When you enabled photo stream on your phone you would have only received photos added to photo stream in the last 30 days, as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
If you want to get your older photos from your iPad to your iPhone, you can either import them to your computer and sync them to your phone, or use an app like PhotoSync or Bump to transfer them.

  • HT4908 Just purchased iPad 2,want to download photos from MacBook.we have different e-mail address. Does this cause a problem?

Finding my way around my new ipad2. I have an iCloud account to transfer photos from our MacBook to my iPad. Having problems doing this.

    Hi
    1. To download Photos from your Macbook to your iPad you use iTunes to sync photos. And to download photos from your iPad2 to your computer you use a USB cable and iPhoto on your Mac.
    2.  For Photostream both devices need to be on the same iCloud Apple ID to allow Photostreaming to work.  Is that what you mean by downloading?  Photostream ismore commonly used to share photos bwteen devices
iCloud is only supported on newer versions of OSX - what version is your Macbook running?
What is the exact problem you are having??
    Cheers

  • How to download pictures from macbook to iPhone

I just got a new iPhone 5s and I want to download some photos that I have on my macbook air onto my phone but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I have tried using icloud but that doesn't seem to work and I can't seem to find out how to do it manually does anyone know how I can get the pictures onto my phone?

and I want to download some photos that I have on my macbook air onto my phone
There are two easy ways to get the photos to your iPhone:
If your photos are in a folder on your MacBook Air or in iPhoto, you can sync the the photos using iTunes Photo Sync:  See this link:  iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support
Or use iPhoto or Aperture and share the photos to "My Photo Stream":  See  iCloud: Get help using My Photo Stream
However, none of the above will work, if you enabled iCloud Photo Library (Beta) on your iPhone.  If you upgraded to  iCloud Photo Library (Beta), iTunes Photo Sync is no longer supported, and My Photo Stream will not upload to your iOS 8 devices.  In that case, disable iCloud Photo Library again, or   use the Photos Beta app on the the web interface https://www.icloud.com   ( https://www.icloud.com/#photos  )  to upload photos from your Mac to the iCloud Photo Library.  There is an upload button in the toolbar.

  • Can I download photos from my sons iPhone to my computer, without "syncing"/

My son got a new iPhone and gave me his old phone to sell(iPhone 4)
He did not back up his iPhone photos onto his new phone.
Is there a way I can "copy" these photos and email them back to him?
Can I "sync" his phone to my computer to get the photos, without messing up my iPhone status?
    He does not live nearby
    Paul

You are using a Mac?  If so, use Image Capture to download the images.  It will treat the phone as if it was just a camera.  We do this to download photo taken from our iPhone to our computer that runs a version of iTunes that does not support the camera (and we don't use iPhoto).  The 7 year old Image Capture still works with an iPhone4s.

  • Download Photos from iPhoto to iPhone?

When I switched over from my old iPhone to a new iPhone 6, I synched on iTunes, but none of my photos on the old phone came over, and they all disappeared from iTunes.  THey are all still on my old phone, and I was able to load the old photos into iPhoto.  But now I cannot figure out how to gett hem onto my new iPhone?
    THanks for any help!

Thanks - but that didn't work.
They are not on my new phone.
They are on my old phone.
    And in iPhoto.
SO now I have all my photos in iPhoto, and shared them all on my account in iCloud.  But they show up nowhere on my iPhone.  I have gone into settings, and in iCloud have turned on sharing, have "Upload to my Photo Stream" turned on, and the iCloud photo library turned on, which says that it is suposed to automatically upload my photos & videos.  But they are nowhere to be found in my Photo stream.  AND when I tried to upload videos to the cloud I got a message saying that I can only upload jog's, not videos.
SO I've still been unable to see my old photos that were on my iPhone 4S.

This solved my questionRe: ios update problem - 7.1 11D167 iphoto not picking up new photos
Mar 20, 2014 7:15 AM (in response to JdinPa)
I figured out the fix for the Mac users having this problem. I connected my iPhone to my iMac and started iTunes. A dialogue came up in iTunes, I OK'd that and then OK'd the usual "Do you trust this Mac" that comes up on my iPhone.
Suddenly Image Capture launched itself and there were all my photos, ready to be downloaded.
It's a long shot but, then, any port in a storm.

  • How to download photos from iphone 3gs to iMac

How do I download photos from my 3GS iPhone to my Mac? I have tried to let iPhoto do it but the phone never shows up as a device in the left column.

First connect your iPhone 3GS to your Mac via the USB port, then open iPhoto if you see a label in the left panel that says Devices but no label for your iPhone point at the Device label a Show should appear to the right, click on Show. Note: your iPhone must be unlocked.

  • How do I transfer photos from macbook air to iphone 4s?

I have a macbook air (mid-2012) with have the new itunes version (11.0.1), and can't figure out how to transfer photos from macbook to iphone.  There is no "Photo" tab in itunes in this version, and it doesn't appear in the pulldown choices. Help!

    Connect your iDevice.
It should show in the left hand sidebar or in a button to the right of the iStore button
You should see the summary page for your device with other buttons for Music Apps etc
Check the box to enable syncing of photos.
Then either select all or choose selected playlists
When selection is made click Apply at the bottom left

  • How do I transfer photos from computer to IPhone?

I have downloaded photos from my old IPhone 4 to my Mac desk computer and I want to transfer these photos to my new IPhone 5 - how do I do that. I have connected the IPhone 5 to IPhoto on the desktop but it doesn't give me a choice to do that.

Start iTunes 11.1 or later on your computer and connect your phone. Select your phone in iTunes and select Photos in the row of tabs presented. Select the option to sync photos from your iPhoto library. You will then have the option to select sync all photos or select the photo albums you want to sync. Once you have made the selections click on Apply or Sync at the bottom of the window.

  • Connectivity Cable CA-53 to download photos from A...

I am finding it impossible to download photos from my A6230i phone to my PC via Cable CA-53.  Nokia Phone Browser in Nokia PC Suite does not show any photos in Gallery and yet the phone says there is no room left for any more shots.  Can anyone advise, please?

The easiest way is to get 'WiFi File Transfer' from the Google Play Store:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smarterdroid.wififiletransfer
It will give you a local web address to access the file system and download items using your browser (this is purely local).
