Impossible to download the Windows Software for Mac
Since a month Im trying to have my windows 7 partition on my mac pro, Ive tried everything...the most I got was to install windows but couldnt do anything, I had no wifi , etc because I couldnt load the Mac software for windows ...impossible to download from Apple, had always the server error. I dont have the Mountain Lion CD either.
Does anyone have a tip for this...

There is no Mountain Lion CD.
The only way to get the Windows Support Software is from within Bootcamp Assistant. When you run Bootcamp Assistant select only the menu item to Download the Windows Support Software. Be patient. The download servers are extremely slow. It may take several hours to complete the download. Do not interrupt the download.

After being hassled just about to death, I downloaded the new Firefox for Macs (3.6.13). Now I cannot download anything. Not a thing. The help files suggested resetting the download folder (didn't work), clearing the download menu (didn't work as there was nothing to clear)

What version of Photoshop are you running? You will need at CS5, CS6, CC or CC2014. Each version needs a different ACR-plug-in to open files from that camera.
If you are on CS4 or earlier, you'll need to upgrade—or, in the alternative; look for, download, instal, launch and run the free, stand-alone DNG Converter 8.6 on each file of raw NEF files to convert them to raw DNGs first so you can open them in your version of Photoshop and ACR plug-in higher than 2.4. -
Downloading the latest upgrades for Mac 10.8.2 keeps stalling. I still have Firefox 17.0.1. the system has tried many times but the process just hangs.
Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

I actually interpreted this as a carrier lock issue. If that is the case the OP needs to contact the UK carrier who owns the rights to lock the iPhone. Only that carrier can unlock it.
Was the iPhone unlocked by means of jailbreak software? If that is the case, then the reply from Phil McCafrey would apply to this as well. -

I have Mac OS 10.4.11. My Mac Laptop Pro has a new hard drive and has been completely refurbished by Apple. However ever since, I have not been able to obtain the correct Firefox. Prior to the replacement of my hardrive, I had Firefox and used it for many years. Not being able to download the correct Firefox is frustrating. Firefox 4 will NOT work on Mac OS 10.4.11. But every time I click on a download of 3.5 or 3.6 the download turns out to be Firefox 4. I cannot use Firefox 4, do not want Firefox 4 but it keeps trying to plant itself on my computer even though it will NOT work on my computer. YIKES!!!!

I have a new macbook pro and unopened versions of Photoshop elements 8 and Serif pageplus and Serif webplus. I am wondering if I should
1.buy windows 7 to run these applications (serif don't have a mac compatible version)
2. Return the elements for a mac version
3. Return all and swich to mac based software as I am about to start new business requiring website and publishing and that is what MAC is renonwed for. Am I missing a trick trying to use windows programmes for what MAC is specialised in? Would appreciate any help as fairly new to thisWebsites: you probably will NEED to run Windows in a VM just to check out how it looks and that it works in Windows anyway.
And no one can really answer, though you are locked into Mac software that supports 10.6.
So run both. Run each off its own partition, and run Windows concurrently in a VM. -

The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available at this time from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If you wait to long and they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.
