Impossible to log into icloud anymore from just 1 device

i can no longer log in to iCloud from my mac air. it won't let me

Thanks for responding. In both System preferences and iCloud.com. It just says that it is unable to log in and to try again. This is the only device that has the problem, all the rest are fine and connecting perfectly. Other problem i am having which i do not know if it is related is i get messages all the time about safari not able to verify this or that certificate from every web page, even apple sites.

    If you activated the Find My iPhone service (in System preferences>icloud), then you can try to track it.  Using another computer's browser, log into icloud.com and look at the Find My iPhone page.  On a device, invoke the Find My iPhone app (get it for free at the itunes app store) and log into the icloud account.  Note:  The Find My iPhone **app** does not turn on the service, you can only do that through Settings>icloud.
    If the mac is listed as "offline", then you can't track it.

    if you have a laptop just transfer them that way

    Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
    Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
    That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.

  • My documents on pages have been deleted from my ipad. I have logged into icloud from a windows computer and can see all my lost documents, but cant seem to get them back on my ipad. HELP!

    I opened up my pages app and the document i needed opened up automatically, i turned away from my ipad to log onto my computer only to find when i look back at my ipad that ALL my documents have been deleted!! It is very important i get these back as i have an assignment to hand in tomorrow and ALL my revision is on their for my exam in 4 days time. please please please help me get my documents back onto my ipad?     If you had Photo Stream enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone, photos in the Camera Roll should have been transferred to your photo steam automatically when the iPhone was connected to an available wi-fi network.
    Your photo stream is not available when logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on a computer.
    Why were the photos in the Camera Roll deleted?
    Photos/videos in the camera roll are included with your iPhones backup. If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the photos were deleted from the camera roll, you can try restoring your iPhone from the backup.

    You should be importing all pics taken with your iphone to your computer as you would with any digital camera.  Have you failed to do this?

  • TS3992 I have made a backup, but when I log into iCloud from my PC it does show the backup. Why?

    And it does indicate on my iPhone that the backup has been done?

    I am backing up my data (contacts) on iphone to icloud, but when i log in icloud.com from a PC, i cant see any contacts being saved in icloud.com.

    Hello comunity: I describe the problem as follows (sorry for my english, not a native speaker):
    Background: Macbook air OS X 10.9 Mavericks (just updated), but changed my Apple ID just after that.
    -When I try to log into Icloud through System Preferences, and write my Apple ID and password, it says "the login keychain is not found" and then it tells me that the server is down and can´t connect. (I have verified my Apple ID and password and can login through the website with no problem, and I have verified that the Icloud server is fine).
    -It won´t let me go any further than that, It means I cant use Icloud in my Mac. I can access to Icloud online, but when online I don´t see my mac but I can see my Iphone and Ipad 2.
    -I have read many (a lot really) about keychains and similar problems and cant find the solution.
    I would appreciate your help!
    PD: Other information that might be related: When entering to First Aid Keychain, I provide my password and when I hit "repair" it will tell me "...library/keychains/login.keychain is not a valid keychain file and that repair stopped unexpectedly"

    I think that  is likely why you're having the problems with signing in. My keychain has been added to over many years. It has email addresses from 1997. I don't know how to clean that up. It would be nice if Apple redesigned Keychain Access to be something that actually allowed you to envisage their network. That's what bothered me about iCloud Keychain. There are so many places to change settings, type a password, and think about what that setting means. Knowledgable people who can manage a network from the Terminal, good for you. I want to launch software that finds all servers, and paints a good connection green and trouble yellow, etc. Hover your mouse over a red drive, it tells you the password needs. I think this is good enough implementation, except it is difficult for people who've never had a cryptography class to get a good idea of what their network topography is. Tell me, can you log on to iCloud.com on Safari?
    I'll hang around here to see if somebody else gives a suggestion. Sorry I can't do more.

  • Cannot log into iCloud via system preferences on MAC

    I am trying to enter my icloud password on my mac and it seems to just be thinking.  If i enter the incorrect one it tells me that I've entered the wrong one.  Not sure what is going on.  I even went as far as changing my password, I then updated it on my iphone, it was accepted, I went to icloud on the web and was able to log in but once again when I try on the mac it just contines to think.  Suggestions??

    You might try the following, you may be able to skip the first few steps depending where you are up to with your troubleshooting.
    1. Sign out of your account
    (If you are unable to do this because System Preferences has frozen, Force Quit System Preferences and try again)
    2. When prompted, opt to delete, contacts, calendars etc from your Mac.
    (You are only deleting this data from your Mac, not from iCloud, the data will be reinstated when you log back in. If you need to check that the data is in iCloud before deleting it go to iCloud.com and check each section for data)
    3. Having logged out, check that the iCloud accounts along with their data have disappeared from the Mail, Address Book and iCal Applications.
    (If necessary, delete the iCloud accounts from each of these application separately from each Applications Preferences)
    4. At this point it may be worth trying to log into iCloud from the System Preferences iCloud settings again, if this works, all well and good, if it doesn't continue to step 5.
    5. Open your User Library folder in the Finder. (When in the Finder, go to the Go menu, hold down the option key (alt) and choose Library when it appears in the Go menu)
    6. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iCloud and drag the iCloud folder to your desktop. (This action only copies the folder and will provide you with a back up)
    7. Select the iCloud folder again in Library > Application Support and drag it to the trash, enter your administrators password when prompted.
    8. Restart your computer.
    9. You should now be able to enter your ID and Password in system Preferences > iCloud and log into your account. Check the services you wish to use and once you are satisfied it's working as it should, trash the iCloud folder you copied to your desktop earlier.

    i frequently have a hard time logging into Icloud. ID and password have not changed but getting past log on screen is a challange. Any suggestions?

    Issues when accessing iCloud.com from a Windows PC and logging in (sporadic problem), using Contacts, Calendar, Notes, etc., or sending error reports when errors occur seems to be a common problem.
    My recommendation is to download Apple’s Safari version 5.1.7 for Windows to access iCloud.com. It consistently works for me!!!! To make things easier with Safari, I made iCloud.com its Homepage. I’m using it to access iCloud.com from all of my PCs.
    On my Windows 7 systems it appears that some add-ons are causing problems when you try to access iCloud.com with the 32-bit version of IE9, but the 64-bit version seems to work fine, more than likely because there are few add-ons that are 64 bit and the 64-bit version can't be the default browser in IE9. Norton Internet Security’s “Browser Protection” is what caused my iCloud.com issues when using IE9 32-bit.
    Also, I just updated to IE10 on my Windows 7 Pro computer. Unlike IE9, IE10 seems to work well with iCloud.com, but IE10 does have a few issues in general. So, as mentioned, I’d use Safari as my dedicated interface to iCloud until all Windows and Internet Explorer issues are resolved.

    Hi.  We just recently purchased a family iPad and I am trying to login to my iCloud Account which is connected to my phone.  I only want to login to my account from my iPad, I do not want to connect my iPad to that iCloud account or any iCloud account at this time.  Normally from my PC, I type in iCloud.com and the login screen appears allowing me to log into my iCloud account.   But when I type in iCloud.com from my iPad, it directs me to set iCloud up on the iPad. I do not want to do that I simply just want to login to my already existing account. Please help! How can I do this?

    iCloud.com is not a mobile site. You can log into iCloud in Settings>iCloud on your iPhone or iPad. How you do what you are looking to do will depend on what you want to do :-)

  • I can not log into iCloud

    Please help - I've upgraded to ML 10.8 (and also 10.8.1) and i can not log into icloud.
    I get an error saying "You can not log in at this time".  I have no hair left on my head because I've pulled it all out!
    Now, there are many published fixes for this, but NONE work. I've tried everything I can find:
    Yes, I have an AU and US apple ID, and both dont work
    I installed ML from a fresh disk wipe + install.  No baggage from previous OS's.
    Everything is standard, no tricky fixes or apps
    No Little snitch installed
    Have deleted the ~/Library/App Support/iCloud folder
    Have deleted any preference files
    Have opened up the permissions on the ~/Library/Caches/iCloud folder
    Have reset keychain
    Have deleted all references of any @me or @apple accounts
    Have re-installed the ML OS from a DIFFERENT bootable USB stick
    No proxies, SOCKS, or mods to network
    Plain old home WIFI network, never had a problem
    Have icloud successfully set up at work (QC 2.8GHZ Mac Pro 2010), on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro - Zero issues
    The mac having problems is a 2008 iMac, Core2Duo 2.8ghz Intel w 4gb 1067mhz ram) - Runs well, use for design.
    Is it a problem with the iCloudHelper process not having sufficient permission to write to the iCloud user DB? or the Accounts folder?
    Have looked into console, and when I try and log into iCloud, I get these three errors.  Same every time, no matter which apple ID account you use:
    1: AOSKit ERROR: (System Preferences[352]) AOSKC ([email protected]): Failed to store key, couldn't add kc item, error 100013 (service=iCloud, dsid=146089737)
    2: AOSKit ERROR: (System Preferences[352]) AOSKC ([email protected]): Failed to store account info key (dsid=146089737).
    3: AOSKit ERROR: (System Preferences[352]) Failed to store account info for appleID=[email protected]
    Please help!  Is this an incompatibiloty with the iMac problem, or a ML problem?

    Where EXACTLY are you trying to log in to it?
    Through your web browser at iCloud.com?
    Or through the iCloud system preferences pane on your Mac?

Maybe you are looking for
