Impossible to update ipod as the screen clears off everytime
everytime i try to hook up my ipod to my mac, it'll show that "do not disconnect" sign and then immediately turn off/the ipod screen will be blank. basically i can't update my songs on it because the "do not disconnect" sign clears off before i can even see the ipod icon in itunes. what's wrong with it?
i thought you couldn't restore an ipod unless you could plug it into your computer and have it successfully turn up in the Macintosh HD window?
and yeah, i tried resetting but the ipod doesn't stay on "do not disconnect" long enough to update ora nything.

Place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore. This should force a reinstall of the iOS.

Your iPod has dropped into Recovery mode. You'll need to restore it via iTunes on your computer.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

I updated my ipad 3 with the ios7 update. Now the screen shows the itunes icon and a pic of the plug in (as to plug into itunes) When I do this it wants to restore my ipad, which I have already done. I can't get out of this screen. Any hints on what to do next?

i want help, not the same comments that i will not be helped. i admit my fault as the owner that i had the accident, but i believed that i was secured with my warranty. otherwise i would ha decided to do not have it if i was going to be the one paying to be fixed... how can i still trust Aplee Corp if the are not helping me with a devise that i paid the price that they decided giving me a warranty to be sure that i am secure while i use my devise. now i would like to know if i can have a refund of the warranty because i am looking for a different way to fix it because i have to pay and pay. but i paid for this situation and i had such assintance leaving me aside telling me that i am hopeless and also that i have to pay more and more.

It never - ever has. The manufacturer's warranty covers you against faults due to manufacturing. (So if the screen did crack due to a manufacturing defect, Apple warranty would cover it, BUT - Apple would be aware and would be able to identify the cause of a cracked screen due to manufacturing defects, so ...)

im locked out of my ipod, and the screen isnt responding when i go to swipe to unlock it or when i swipe to turn it off. All of my notifications are there but i cant reply to any of them. My screen is completly unresponsive. But, in the top left hand corner, there is an outline of a box. how do i fix this?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
My Iphone 4s just stopped during the latest update and now the screen show the Apple icon and an white bar beneath. I can no longer get anything to work on the phone!! Where to from here??
You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

Need to display updated file on the screen

I have a requirement in which we take beginning date(say 5-May-2010) and end date(day 15-May-2010) as input and spawn a script which processes some jobs for all the dates between these two dates.Now this script writes a log for each date the jobs have run. The jobs called by the script can take around 2 min for each day processing.Now the requirement is that the page refreshes on its own displaying the updated log.I can refresh the page after 2 minutes in OAF but how do I display the updated log on the screen so that the user comes to know which days are processed?I would be grateful if someone can provide me the clue on how can I achieve it.

Thanks for your reply.The log of each request is going to be different.User should also be able to see the contents of the log.Actually for each date around 10 lines will follow which will give some data for that particular date and then next date will follow with its set of lines. -

Well I am having the same issue and I had not had to worry about getting a "licensed charger." The poster who responded offered not real insite and was rude to boot. I am also looking for the fix on this . My iphone will not even charge now on any charger. What the heck.
