Impossible to verify a .co domain email account
Hi,
As you all know you have to verify any non BT email accounts. However for some reason BT are unable to allow .co domain to be registered.
When I go through the process of adding an email accout via My BT for verification; when I enter the email address It assumes that the .co is a .com / .co.uk that is misspelt.
Cant you fix this with a drop box to selct the domain name from a list. It's very annoying and a big FAIL if BT cannot do this.
I find it particularly annoying as I use this for business and can only have BT as broadband supplier.
Please resolve.
Thanks.
Hi,
Just wanted to say I found out the answer. I should have looked first to see if anyone else was having the same problem but I didn't.

Validating a user at a domain (email account) in PL/SQL
I have seen code in .NET that can validate an email account and I attempted to port this over to oracle and could not get it to work. I do understand that oracle 10G has a function utl_inaddr.get_host_address that can be used to validate a domain; however, I would like to validate a user at a domain (email account).
my code I am using is:
DECLARE
conn utl_smtp.connection;
rply utl_smtp.reply;
smtp_error EXCEPTION;
mail_conn utl_tcp.connection;
BEGIN
-- open SMTP connection
conn := utl_smtp.open_connection(smtp_host, smtp_port);
rply := utl_smtp.helo(conn, smtp_domain);
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE ('Helo Response:'||rply.code||'/'||rply.text);
rply := utl_smtp.vrfy(conn, my_recipients);
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE ('vrfy Response:'||rply.code||'/'||rply.text);
rply := utl_smtp.quit(conn);
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE ('quit Response:'||rply.code||'/'||rply.text);
END;
The output I get is:
Helo Response:250/OK
vrfy Response:252/Cannot verify user
quit Response:221/closing connection
Can anyone assist me in getting this to work?
ThanksI'm afraid I can't help with that. I assume it's something in the configuration/setup/capabilities of the SMTP server, but I don't know the specifics. What are you using? Is there an admin you can request help from?

Submitted PDF form is not delivering to my Domain email account
Submitted PDF form is not delivering to my Domain email account
What exactly is not working ? As you have mentioned form submission notification is received in your email account so form process is working I believe but you want the notifications to go to another email account I think.
Have you added the email address in "Email to" field in form options ? If yes and then also you are not receiving the form , then please provide me the site url and post a screenshot or form with option box open.
Thanks,

My iMessages that I write on my iPad are not showing up on my other device, the iPhone 4. I went into the settings and tried to add the second cloud email address, however, I keep getting an error message saying that it cannot be verified because the email is already in use. What do I need to do get it working. I have two iCloud email addresses. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Hi,
Just wanted to say I found out the answer. I should have looked first to see if anyone else was having the same problem but I didn't. -
I'm having an impossible time setting up a second email account on Mail. Seemed as though it would be simple but after I've done all the basics, it sets up the account on MobileMe instead of iCloud and there it stops. Can't send or receive messages. I'm lost! Advice?
I do have an iCloud account and have since October. I am trying to set up a second email address. Perhaps I'm asking Mail to do more than it's equipped to do.
I have set up an alias with the new email address through my existing iCloud account. However, when I test sending and receiving, the emails to and from the new address are in the same list as my regular Mail. Not sure this helps with my desire to separate the two! Perhaps I'm still doing something wrong.
I do appreciate your help. -
Google domain email won't send mail though apple mail
I just setup a new goole domain email address and have been fully varified with my domain. I set up the account on my imac & macbook pro, both running off Mavericks. I can receive email but not send and I keep getting asked for my email password. It's been entered in correctly. The mail just sits in the outgoing mailbox. The strange thing is that the same email account send emails perfectly from my iPhone. I have searched the issue and it seems to be a common issue with Mavericks however I haven't been able to find one solution that works. Can someone please office some advice? Feeling very frustrated right now! Thanks
I just fired up a new macbook air and had the same issue - set up my google domains email account and received emails but could not send. Strange as we have many Apple devices and they all work fine. Here is how I sorted it.
In summary the username used in the STMP server list (which was automatically populated with data on set up) was incorrect. It needs to be set to your full email address - mine just showed my name and no @domainname.com . See below if you need step by step instructions on how to change it.
Open mail and in the main menu bar at the top of the screen click on mail then preferences. Click on accounts in the menu at the top of the panel that opens and then select the offending account in the list on the left.
In the section labelled Outgoing Mail Server there is a menu which is usually defaulted to gmail - click and open this and then select Edit STMP Server List.
In the new page that opens about half way down you can select advanced. When you click on this there is a panel near the bottom marked username. This was the problem. It had automatically set itself to the first part of my email address without the @nameofdomain.com. When I reset this to read my full address all worked fine.
I hope this sorts your problem as I know what a total pain in the *ss this can be! -

How can I verify my iCloud account when my email account was deleted?
Hello,
I would like to know how to verify my iCloud account after it being "not verified".Also, my previous email was deleted and it asks me to check my email in order to verify the iCloud account. I am worried that if I delete my iCloud account and create a new one, all my data will be wiped out and I will not be able to transfer important data among multiple devices.
Please find a solution for this problem,
Thank you!But I can't complete the verification because it asks me to check my email (which was deleted)
But I have an idea! Do you suppose I can reset my iPod touch to default>Have all my data on iTunes/folders>Set iPod touch as a new device> Create a new account with my fresh email>Connect to iTunes>Back up!
Reply if you think this would work so I can actually do it
Thank you -
The email address I had set for my Apple ID when I had originally signed up was through my college. I have been out of college now for a few years and the email account has been deleted. I was trying to set up iCloud on my iPad and iPhone but it says I need to access the account to verify through email. I have tried to change my Apple ID email to my current email address but it tells me I can not do this either because that email is set up as my rescue email. How can I change my primary email address for my Apple ID or get my iCloud verified in this situation I'm in?
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your account'. You will be able to change the non-Apple email address you use as a login. You will then need to log out and in again on all your devices.

The iPad's Mail app has no provisions for creating groups. However, you can use a third party app that many users recommend.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Hi all
The title basically states the problem - Outlook 2013 wont set up with a Domain. This only seems to affect Windows 8.1 pro, Win 7 Pro has no problems. If I log on to the computer itself (not the domain) Outlook runs no problem
If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful
Thank you
FionnbarrHi Fionnbarr,
When you say "...with a Domain", do you mean login to the computer with a domain user account?
Does this happen on all your Windows 8.1 clients? What's the error message in full? At which exact step will you get this error?
So you have observed that "This only seems to affect Windows 8.1 pro", it could be an issue with this specific system. I would suggest we first check for Windows updates and install any available ones, then try again.
