Here are the documents to help you get setup with you laserjet.
    1. Install the printer on a wireless or ethernet network: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02518011
    2. Do a firmware update for the hardware: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=ca&dlc=en&docname=c03128485
    3. Setup your eprint: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03128416
    4. Try an Android HP app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hp.android.print   https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hp.printercontrol
Good luck, I hope those help

  • Sharing p4014n printer on windows 7 machine with XP machine

I have installed a Laserjet P4014n on a new Windows 7 machine with the USB connection - I allowed it to detect and install the drivers automatically.  The printer works great on the Win7 machine.
I shared the printer and would now like to have an XP machine also be able to use it for printing.  However when I add a printer and I browse out to the shared printer on the Win7 machine,  the XP machine gives the error:  "The server for the HP LaserJet P4014/P4015 PCL6 printer does not have the correct printer driver installed.  If you want to search for the proper driver click OK.  Otherwise click Cancel..."  I tried to find the correct driver (.INF) file on the CD that came with the printer, but it does not seem to like any of the files on the CD.
I have tried to install on the XP machine the drivers using the CD that came with the printer, but because there is not a printer connected, it will not install.  I have also downloaded the XP drivers (PCL6 and Universal Printer Drivers for PCL5 and PCL6)  for the printer from the HP website, and tried to browse to those when installing the drivers but it still cannot find a file it likes.
What file should I be looking for on the CD or downloaded files for XP?
I also tried to add additional drivers on the Win7 machine but again can not find a file that installs from the CD or downloaded files.

i am having the same problem. the printer is installed on a new windows 7 computer and we are trying to share it to a windows vista computer. did you figure out how to get it to work?! we r getting very frustrated!!

  • P4014n Will Not Printer From Tray 2

I have a HP Laserjet p4014n that will not print from tray 2 as normal it takes between 20 -40 attemps before it prints the test page. I have replaced the feed roller but that was not the fix. This printer prints fine from tray 1 (manual feed tray)

  • Why is printing from Acro Reader X so slow?

I have Windows 7, an HP laser printer, and Acrobat Reader X. It seems to me when I've printed previously the pages alway came out at about 2 pages per second; right now I have a 117 page PDF that's printing only one page every 30 seconds - so slow that the printer engine starts up and shuts off between each page. Is there some setting I need to be aware of so documents will print in what I consider the 'normal' way, or at least what I'm used to, i.e. faster?

I started getting the same slow printing problem within the last month when I replaced my previous PC.  The previous PC had Vista Home Premium 32 bit, and the new one has Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  I use Acrobat X Pro.  I have a LaserJet P4014n which is a 45 ppm printer, and it used to print pdf files at that speed.  Now, it prints about 4 pages, pauses for a few seconds, prints 4 more pages, pauses a few seconds, etc.
I can only assume that the printing slow down is from having Windows 7.  Windows 7 apparently has a lot of drivers (for printers and other things) built into the OS, whereas earlier versions of Windows were designed so that you downloaded drivers from the web.
I have found several instances where this new method of providing drivers inside the Windows 7 OS provides less functionality than the old drivers did.  Another example is with my LaserJet 3390 which is an All-In-One.  It used to have functions that HP called HPToolBoxFX that had a lot of functions where the AIO would interact with a connected PC.  Windows 7 does not support or have any of those functions, so the functions from HPToolBoxFX are now gone.
I think that Adobe and Microsoft and HP need to get together on the printer drivers for Windows 7 so that those drivers allow a high speed LaserJet to print at full speed when printing a pdf file from a PC with Windows 7.

Nunca a impressora imprime no sentido do papel.

I too bought one of these printers and as with the other posters experienced colour misalignment.Being told to 'replace the toner cartridges' every time it misaligns is really not acceptable. It seems that this printer is just doomed to go out of alignment and there isn't anything that can be done about it. It would be nice if HP acknowledged this and came up with some sort of resolution but I doubt that it will happen. Having also experienced problems with the previous HP colour laserjet it looks like HP have lost the quality that was a trademark of their laser printers.

  • HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M602 driver issue

    Hello,
I've got issue with 600-series printers. We use the latest UPD drivrer ver. 61.175.1.18849 and print from XenApp 6.5. The error occurs every time when users try to print jpg files from XenApp session. It only happens with 600 series printers and UPD.
Also I've tried to assign native 600-series driver ver. 6.3.9600.16384 and it works good. But with that driver system says that it's color printer and it brokes our printing reports. These reports are very important for us. So we can't use printer and that driver as well.
Printer installed on Windows Server 2012 R2. All clients are Windows 7 x64. XenApp Servers are Server 2008R2.
Is it possible to get fixed UPD driver or correct native driver for Server 2012 R2?
    Regards,
    Anatoly

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

  • HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 color M551dn - Optional USB Device port

Hi, I'm hoping to buy the optional wireless print server (HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server J8026A). There is one problem though, the optional USB device port seems to not exist on my printer. I only notice that the USB logo is present where the port is supposed to be. The plastic in the area is squared off as though it is some sort of break away tab and the port is underneath maybe.
There is no reference to this in the manual anywhere and I am really unsure how to proceed. I don't want to damage anything.
If someone experienced with this model (preferably an HP Employee) can confirm the availability of the port and tell me how to access it (Is it a break away tab?). Part of the reason why I bought this printer is the optional Wireless N print server.
    Thank You in advance.

Thank You for your reply. The port you are talking about is the front panel port for walk-up usb printing and firmware upgrades. This port is indeed available on the higher end LaserJet 500 (NON-MFP, printer only edition) as I just used it to upgrade the firmware. The port I am talking about is the one on the left side in the ports section which you use to plug in the optional print server (not the computer I/O port).
This is shown in the official manual and the spec sheet so I'm 85% sure the port is there, hp can't advertise and mention something that is not available as this would be a big problem and make the 2700w print server incompatible when it clearly states that it is. I just need someone to confirm the availability and clear my confusion (either from HP, or another owner who bought the wireless print server 2700w).

  • HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575 - Can't scan from Windows

We recently purchased and installed an HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575 to be used as a networked all-in-one solution for a number of offices. I have been able to get it set up on our network and have installed the appropriate drivers on the requested Windows 7 x64 machines, and network printing works perfectly. However, it seems that despite the fancy scanning features available from the all-in-one itself (scan to email, scan to a network folder, etc.), I can't find any way to do an old-fashioned scan from Windows.
I have installed the full software solution available on the driver download page for the device, and while Windows lists the device as a "Multi Function Printer; Scanner" it does not recognize it as an actual scanner. The built-in Windows Fax and Scan simply reports that no scanners are installed. The software installation did not include the HP Solution Center (which I am used to seeing from my experience with various other HP all-in-one devices) or any equivalent for direct scanning. The driver download page for the device does not include any separate scanning drivers, so I can't be certain if they were included with the full installation or exist at all. Some of our staff also use Adobe Acrobat to scan, and even that fails to recognize the MFP as a scanner.
We'll eventually be setting up the device to scan directly to a network folder, but we need a fallback while IT takes their time getting it set up; I can't imagine that the simplest option is not available at all. I must be missing something here, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: To add, I also ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Interestingly, it reports the device as a printer and only offers to "Fix Printing" without any sort of resolution for my scanning problem.

  • HP AiO remote doesn't recognize 3rd party toner as compatible in LaserJet M1217nfw MFP

    Hi,
I have a HP Envy 17 running Windows 8.1, a MacBook Air, an iPhone and a HP LaserJet M1217nfw MFP.  I recently replaced the toner with a 3rd party replacement cartridge and while the printer does give me a "supply memory error" I am still able to print just fine from the Mac and my phone.  I am unable however to print from my Envy.  The HP All-in-One Remote app in Windows 8 gives me an "incompatible cartridge" message and says there are no solutions availble.  Is there a work-around to this?
I am not very good at Windows 8....
    Thanks

    Hi Thaddeus,
Although the printer may resoponse to some commands, a supply memory error is an error state about the used cartridge.
Due the error message on the screen the HP AIO Remote recognize the cartridge as incompatible, that cannot be bypassed
with any settings, resolving the issue which cause the error message is the only key to resolve a such.
If the HP AiO Remote fails to print in such condition the only solution is to fully resolve the condition by following the steps listed in my previous post.

  • AiO Remote and LaserJet

I have a HP LaserJet CM1415fnw and the firmware is 20131028.
It prints perfectly from my PC Windows 7(64bit) and quarter size from my Ipad iOS 7.0.6.
If I use HP ePrint it prints but I get a dirty shadow repeat 56mm down the page for the bottom half of the sheet which is unacceptable.
I would like to use AiO Remote but the program cannot find my printer which is connected to my router by an ethernet cable any ideas would be appreciated?

    Hello kingfishers,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you are trying to print to your Laserjet CM1415fnw printer. You indicated you have a couple of different issues; printing from iPad is smaller than from your computer, you have print quality issues when using ePrint, and the AiO app doesn't find your printer.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
    1)       When trying to print from your iPad are you using Apple's AirPrint feature or the HP ePrint app? Are you trying to print a photo from your iPad when your documents seems to shrink to roughly 1/4 the size?
    2)      Are you getting the "dirty shadow" when you print the same document from your computer? Are you emailing the document to the printer or are you using the HP ePrint app?
    3)      You indicated that your printer is plugged into your router using an ethernet cable which would be why the HP All-in-One Printer Remote app cannot find it.  I've included The Printer Does Not Support Ethernet (Wired) and Wireless Network Connections at the Same Time for your reference.
