Improve ControlExecFlow user subproperty documentation

The TestStand documentation describes the ControlExecFlow user subproperty as follows:
"User can control the flow of execution by setting breakpoints, single-stepping, and using the Set Next Step command. User can use the Run Mode command in a user interface. User can use the Run Mode command in the TestStand Sequence Editor but only if the EditSequenceFiles subproperty is also True."
This description should be amended to include the fact that the value of this subproperty also enables or disables options in run-time error dialogs (Retry, Ignore, Abort, and Break). TestStand users will see run-time error dialogs with different options based on the value of this subproperty.
NOTE: The ControlExecFlow user subproperty description can be found in the online help under NI TestStand Environment Reference Help>>TestStand Sequence Editor Menus, Panes, and Windows>>Windows>>User Manager Window>>User and Group Privileges.

We have two different types of support offerings for NetBeans and until recently, both included 'Standard Subscription' in their title and hence the possible miscommunication. One is for developer support in using the tool and the other is for production support.
I checked the queue for the developer support offering but did not find a match with your user name....please advise how your service request was submitted.

User interface documentation

I am looking for some user documentation for iTunes (Mac) that is more comprehensive than the Apple tutorials. In particular, the user interface isn't always intuitive, and I keep coming across things that take a while to figure out.
For example, I am trying to put the movements of a classical work in order in the main window so that they will play in the right order; in spite of numbering the tracks in the Info window, it still doesn't happen, and I can't find a way to do this.

I find the iTunes Help accessed from the iTunes > Help menu to be really useful. You can browse the contents, or use the search bar at the top right to go right to what you want. For example, I searched for Edit song and CD information and found this:
To edit song or CD information:
Select the song or CD you want to edit, and choose File > Get Info (or press Command-I).
Click Info and make your changes.
Tip: If you’re changing the same information for multiple items (genre, for example), you can select all the items and change the information for all of them at the same time
Here are other ways to customize song and CD info:
You can edit information in the Info window to make it easier to find and sort items in your library. For example, you can:
Group individual movements on a classical CD into one work by indicating the movement (for example, “Piano concerto in A Minor, Op. 54”) in the Grouping field.
Group songs that are part of a compilation together in your library by clicking the Info button and selecting the “Part of a compilation” checkbox.
Identify the individual artists on a tribute album in the Artist field, and type “various” in the Album Artist field.
Create your own genre category by choosing Custom from the Genre pop-up menu.
Change the order in which tracks on a CD play by changing the numbers in the Track Number fields.
Try it. You'll find a lot of good tips.

It will populate the documentation window.

Does Apple ever actually do anything to improve re: user complaints? Wits end with Macbook Pro 15" wifi dropping constantly.

I bought a 15" Macbook Pro nearing a year ago and I've regretted it since about after a week of owning it. It's on 5.1.7
The wifi is terrible. Drops out daily. When it does, it usually takes at least a good 5 minutes and moving it to another position for it to work again. Sometimes longer. Often it'll do it back to back all night. I wish I could leave it most of the time, but I bought it to use when I wish and to work on. I also have to be about 20 meters or closer to the router to even have a chance at a connection. This is not the case with the Windows laptop in the same house. I can no longer use a laptop at my desk because it is too far away (about 5 metres further than the area it sometimes works)!
Moved the router. Done all that nonsense. Still crap.
It also struggles when I have as little as both Illustator, Photoshop and Safari open. Literally going insane with it.
I am constantly looking up ways to fix it. This forum pops up on every search. What I don't understand is, SO many people have the same problem yet there seems to be no real solution. Does Apple ever answer? This forum seems to be pages and pages of the same problem with the same amount of 'help' from other members that in many cases either you have to be techy to understand what they are even talking about or they've tried it all and are left with the same problem anyway. Square 1.

How can I improve the response time of the user interface?

I'm after some tips on how to improve the response time to mouse clicks on a VI front panel.
I have data acquistion application which used to run fine, but after spending a couple of weeks making a whole bunch of changes to it I find that the user interface has become a bit sluggish.
My main GUI VI has a while loop running 16 times a second, updating some waveform charts and polling about a dozen buttons on the front panel.
There is sometimes a delay (variable, but up to 2 seconds sometimes) from when I click on a button to when it becomes depressed. I have wired the iteration terminal of the while loop to an indicator on the front panel and can see that the while loop is ticking over during the delayed response to the mouse click, so I know that the problem is not that the whole program is running slow, just the response to mouse clicks.
Also, just for debugging purposes, I have indicators of the iterations of all the main while loops in my program on the front panel, so I can see that there are no loops running abnormally fast either.
One thing I've tried is to turn off multi-threading, and this does seem to work - the response to mouse clicks is much faster. However, it has the side effect of making the main GUI while loop run less evenly. I was trying to get a fairly smooth waveform scrolling across the screen, and when multi-threading is off it gets a bit jerky.
Any other suggestion welcome..
(I am using LabVIEW 7.1, Windows 2000).

I am doing both DAQ board and serial data acquisition. I am using NIDAQ traditional for the DAQ board, and VISA for the serial. I have other similar versions of this program that do only DAQ board, or only serial, and these work fine. It was only when I combined them both into the same program that I ran into problems.
The multiple while loops are actually in separate VIs. I have one VI that acquires data from the DAQ card, another VI that acquires data from the serial port, another VI that processes the data and saves to file, and another VI, the GUI VI, that displays the data in graphs and charts. The data is transferred betwen the VIs via LV2 globals.
The GUI VI is a bit more complicated than I first mentioned. It has tab control, with 4 waveform charts on one page, 4 waveform graphs on another page, and 3 waveform graphs on another page. The charts have a history length of 2560, and 16 data points are added 16 times a second. The wavefom graphs are only updated once per minute.
I don't use the value property at all, but I do use lots of property nodes for changing the properties of the graphs and charts e.g. changing plot colours, Y scale range etc. There is only one local variable (for the Tab control). All the graphs and charts have data wired directly to their terminals.
I haven't done any profiling yet.
I am building arrays in uninitialised shift registers, but this is all well under control. As the experiement goes on, more data is collected and stored, and so the memory usage does gradually increase, but only to the extent that I would expect.
The CPU usage is 100%, but I thought this was always the case when using NIDAQ with DAQ cards. Or am I wrong about this? (As a side note, I am using NIDAQ traditional, but would NIDAQmx be better?)
Execution priority of the GUI vi (and all the other VIs for that matter) is set to normal.
The program is a bit large to post here, and I'm not sure if my company would be happy for me to publicise it anyway, so I suspect that this is turning into one of those questions that are going to be impossible to answer.
Just as a more general question, why would turning off multi-threading improve the user interface response?

Dear EHS gurus,
It seems there EHS module is very niche and the documentation is not that huge compare to other SAP module.
I am wondering if anyone of you out there can sent me a copy of UAT document which I can practise by my myself on the following areas:
1 - Product safety,
2 - Hazardous substance management,
3 - Dangerous Goods
I know this is not allow on the forum rule on this action, however is there a way that you can show me any UAT document on the above topics on the website.

first I can not confirm that documentation regarding EH&S is bad. SAP has improved the documentation in the recent years and it is quite good in my opinion. Because of REACH and other legal topic EH&S is no "niche" product any more but is an important module in SAP in chemistry and similar industries. SAP has changed there strategy here. Now the have defined the "SAP Chemical Compliance" package. The integration of EH&S in other modules of SAP has been improved too.
second: the documentation you are requiring depends on SAP release you are using or would like to use and which functionality you would like to activate
third: the three modules PS, HSM and DG are the "core" modules of EH&S module. Such a document (an UAT document) will have a high number of pages; here the highest amount of work has to be done to my experience in the blue print phase, implementation and set up phase before you can use EH&S without problems
fourth; any company is using SAP EH&S a little bit different; therefore such an UAT document you are requiring does not exist
fith: to use EH&S you need good knowledge in these further modules:

SD
and may be in
PP (if you would like to use thE BOMBOS interface)
and in some SAP Basis modules (e.g. class definition classes and characteristics) and Document Management etc.
sixth: installing EH&S: after installation of the SAP software the system is "empty" (therefore from user perspective not useful). First you need to define the business needs and depending on these needs there is a change in customizing required and a lot of programin etc.; furthermore with higher releases SAP has decided not to support sime user exists which there available in the past (example: calculation of the so called Status of registration). A number of company exists who are able to help you in preparing the se tup and content of EH&S.
So I am sorry: such an UAT document you are requiring is not available or if it would be available I would assume that nobody will pas it on

You will find documents regarding Bulding blocks (that means you will find information regarding the seqeunce of SAP moduöes you need to customize and to prepare before you can use EH&S. You will find more help regarding EH&S in the recent EH&S help at SAP (ECC 6.0 with may be Enhancement PAckage 4 if you would like to install this). A number of documents are still available describing lower SAP/EH&S releases.
Furthermore a high number of important information is available if you check the EHS& customizing (transaction spro) . Per topic there are a lot if hints you can use. And it is of high importance that you have discuess with you customer the business needs before you start to configure EH&S

FI-CA events to improve performance

Hello experts,
Does anybody use the FI-CA events to improve the extraction performance for datasources 0FC_OP_01 and 0FC_CI_01 (open and cleared items)?
It seems that this specific exits associated to BW events have been developped especially to improve performance.

No. Table,Index,LOB,LOB index uses the same TS. I missed adding this point( moving to separate TS) as part of table modifications.

By moving the CLOB column to different block size , I will test the performance improvement it gives and will share the results.
We dont need any data from this table. XML file contains details about finger prints and once the application server completes the job , XML data is deleted from this table.
So no need of backup/recovery operations for this table. Client will be able to replay the transactions if any problem occurs.

We are not performing XML parsing on DB side. Gets the XML data from client -> insert into table -> client selects from table -> Upon successful completion of the Job from client ,XML data gets deleted.
Regarding binding of LOB from client side, will check on that side also to reduce round trips.
By changing the blocksize, I can keep db_32K_cache_size=2G and keep this table in CACHE. If I directly put my table to CACHE, it will age out all other operation from buffer which makes things worse for us.
This insert is part of transaction( Registration of a finger print) and this is the only statement taking time as of now compared to other statements in the transaction.

Hi all,
When I keep a breakpoint in the exit EXIT_RMMR1MRB_001 and run the transaction MIRO, it is not going to this user exit .
The field entered are
Invoice date,posting date,reference ,amount,purchasing doc number,baseline date ,payment terms,payment method and NF type.
But it is not trigerring the MIRO. In the user exit documentation ,it is given that this user exit will call only if EF_CHANGE = 'X'.
1) So can you please mention which field does it corresponds to in MIRO transaction?
