Improve Image after Scan with Adobe Acrobat 9.3 ?

Hi folks,
I frequently scan multiple documents directly from the scanner using an ADF - so I often have piles of docs of many pages. I can adjust the scanner settings to make most of them look good but sometimes there are pages that should be improved after having created the pdf. Is there any possibility to do that ? Do I just need another software - maybe from Adobe ? I just want to adjust contrast, brightness, gamma etc. to make the doc look good.
Cheers and sorry for that "stupid" question :-)
Oliver

Thanks!!! It is version 9.3.1. Should I upgrade for better?
But WHen I tried again changing the parameters as below: trying to print a few pages
l_oCAcroPDDocPrint.PrintPagesSilent(0, 2, 0, 0, 0) - 0 first page and 2 last page. It works fine.
In 7.0 I used -1 in place of last page and it printed all pages of that particular PDF.
I did not find about printing all of these pages from Acrobat 9.0 API. Can you please let me know?

  • Cannot get C7280 to scan with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0. Can you help?

I know this may not be the right place to post this, but here goes. I'm using 10.5.2 along with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0, a HP C7280 AIO connected to network via wireless. The normal software I use is HP Scan Pro.
Here's my problem. When I try to scan from Acrobat it will either open the scan pro software, show acrobat as the place to scan to in the bottom, but not do anything. If I "accept", it crashes Acrobat OR it will say it can't communicate, so either way it doesn't work. Any ideas how to make this work?
    Thx

Any idea what this bug could be or any solution for this problem?

your input seems quite good but unfortunately i still have this problem - this seems not be the solution for my problem - . By the way, I also have a problem with the direct mail from Acrobat to Outlook (Office 2011)...

  • Wireless scanning with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

Can anyone help me with this kind of problem. I have All-in-one printer Lexmark X6575, and the wireless printing from my laptop is doing just fine, but when I try to scan a document in Acrobat it says that "Either scaner driver is not installed or scanner is not connected". Scanning in Lexmark via wireless is doing fine, but doesn't have features like scanning reverse sides etc. I've downoaded latest drivers for printer, reinstalled Acrobat and the problem still remains. The same printer is used via USB on other computer and scanner is workin with Acrobat just fine...

Quite frankly this is something very difficult to trouble shoot from a distance.
If you aren't technically oriented, perhaps you should bite the bullet and get a "consultant" in to look at things. This isn't an Acrobat problem really; It works on one computer that apparently has the same setup as the one that doesn't work. So obviously something is different and that is something you'll have to track down -- How can we help do that form here ?! Impossible unfortunately.
Be  sure that both computers have the same OS, Service Packs, same 3rd party applications, same Acrobat updates etc.; That's where you start.
Usually in situations like this an IT guy images one computer and then applies the same image to every workstation. That way such issues shouldn't happen, because one is sure that all computers are running the exact same software, without any exceptions.

  • How to scan legal size document with Adobe Acrobat 6.0?

How do you scan legal (8.5 x 14.0) size documents with Adobe Acrobat 6.0.0 ? There is no option for that size paper in the scan menu. And I can't find the answer in either my help file or on-line with Adobe.com. Can anyone help me?

I use a HP OfficeJet G85. I have no problem copying/printing legal (8.5 x 14) size documents with that all-in-one unit. So I assumed it should be able to send the image it collected to my Adobe Acrobat program instead of to the printer. Am I missing something? Or should I put the question to HP instead of Adobe?

I don't know if this is the right section but I experience the following issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI installed on Windows 8.1. When I start Acrobat the related window opens normally but, after some scroll up and down along the document, it blocks, Acrobat doesn't respond to any command I can give and, in place of the pointer arrow, a vertical bar, as the one of the text editor appears. The only way I can stop Acrobat is by means of the task manager. I tried to de-install and the re- install Acrobat but the behaviour is always the same. What can I do??

Have you opened Acrobat and gone to Help>Updates to get an updated install?

  • "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. if it is running please exit and try again. (523.523)

We are getting the following error "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. if it is running please exit and try again. (523.523)" and a gray screen appears (Image not viewable) with multiple users. We are using Adobe Reader XI (11.0.05) and (11.0.06). The current workaround is to log off the website and log back in. Once the user logs back in, the pdf will appear. However it occurs anywhere from 2-8 times in a day. Anyone else having this issue or know of another workaround? Any suggestion with how to fix? Please help!!

    Hi Valerie,
Please let me know the version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader & operating system installed on your computer?
    Also, try this:-
    Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
From the menu, choose Edit -> preferences -> General
Uncheck the option for "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
Restart the Adobe Reader and web browser.

  • Can't open any PDF file with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I have tried to open multiple Acrobat files but none will open. I get a FATAL ERROR message saying: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server."  I've created documents in word and publisher and am able to convert to pdf format but after the pdf file has been created I cannot open to view and I get the error message. Please help! Thank you!

No I am thinking that the problem is with Acrobat XI Pro. Because as previously noted I can create a Word document and save as a PDF, the PDF document will be created by Acrobat XI Pro but will not open with Acrobat XI Pro, which normally happens automatically upon creating the PDF file from say Word, Exel, Publisher, etc. When I try to open with Acrobat XI Pro it give me the FATAL ERROR message saying: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server". Since I could not open any of my PDF documents with Acrobta XI Pro, because I had Acrobat XI Pro as my default PDF creater and reader, I installed Adobe Reader, hoping that it would allow me to view the PDF documents that I had just created with Acrobat XI Pro and it did. The problem is that I cannot open Acrobat XI Pro to creat or edit or add PDF restrictions on  a PDF document straight from Acrobat XI Pro, but I can create a, say Word document, and save as a PDF file. Before installing Adobe Reader I could not open, see or edit the just created PDF file created through Word it is just now after installing Acrobat Reader.
    Also worth noting.
I have been told that this same problem happened sometime ago with Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Vesion 10) and that the problem was fixed by editing something within the registry. Does anyone know anything about that? Thanks!

  • There is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader.

I have XP professional, IE 8, and Adobe Reader 9.3.  When I try to open any pdf files from a web page I see the following error: "These is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again. "
Although, the web pdf rendering returns an error, I'm able to open pdf files locally.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

I had similar problems with Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Reader 9.3 and I uninstalled AR 9.3 and went to:

I keep getting that message when I try to open a PDF link from a webpage. When I open the Windows Task Manager under the Applications tab I do not see Adobe Acrobat/Reader listed at all.
How do I fix this problem?

I may as well answer my own question.
After typing "patch" and reading a few threads I found out how to fix it.
