Improvements For N93 New Fw

Just hope nokia listens to this one....after the LONG wait this shouldnt be too much.....
here are a few improvements i think should be in the next fw for the N93
64mb RAM
Definitely better algorithm(???) for still pictures
Better night mode algorithm for still pictures
Better night video (and no more b/w)
text to speech capabilities (which i think should now become standard on all nokia phones kinda like visual radio lol)

The software part, is about Nokia which... but the RAM, how the chip increases capacity??? N93ii maybe ;-)

  • Got an idea for a new feature or feature improvement?

Our FAQ contains a list of in progress and unfinished features, so please check that out.
We're interested in hearing from you on how we can improve Parfait by improving or adding a new feature. Please provide as much detail as possible, and make sure to tell us why it is important to you. If your idea is for a new feature, it would be helpful to understand how you get it done now, and how the new feature would make your life better.
    Thanks!

    Helo Kieran,
    • Integration with Creative Cloud or LayerVault (LV would be nice for versioning etc.)
BB> We're working on integrating with Creative Cloud. You'll get versioning, commenting, sharing (file or folder level), and sync. We expect to be able to roll this out later this year.
    • Importing guides from the .PSD as well as having the rulers on the sides
BB> Good idea, and we're considering this. For now, some people are creating guides on a layer in Ps, then toggling that layer's visibility in Parfait.
    • When doing a Shift + Click on two elements, depending on the circumstance, spit out the margin or padding values into the CSS panel
BB> This is also something we've considered. We think this should be done in combination with adding support for guides or another temporary measurement aid, so you can position the container around an item to make sure you get the info you want. Still working out design and details on this one, and no ETA.
    • Having something like a marquee tool to measure between two points (I know this can be done using the Shift+Click but some elements aren't accurate eg. images inside clipping masks)
BB> Yes, we're considering this, as I mentioned in the point above.
    • The tags that are created when you select a font in the right-hand-side panel are black with a white "T", it's quite hard to see (not really a feature but I thought it was worth mentioning )
BB> Thanks for the feedback, and we'll take another look at them to see if we can improve.
And thanks for offering to help with testing - we are improving Parfait and pushing out new builds frequently, so please check back often and let us know what you think.

  • New Features or improvements for Bibeans

    Hello,
I ask what should be the major Enhancements/New Features
for Bibeans and a approximate date for the new release.
    Thanks

A major enhancement is a series of JSP tags that will simplify the thin development. Also, you will have the thin version of the Querybuilder and Calcbuilder.
The next version will be available this summer.
    Thanks

  • ArchWiki: suggestion for a new page layout

Finally, I have some time to spare for ArchWiki improvement.
I have modified my article on CMYK support in The GIMP as an example.
Please take a look at it here:
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CMY … n_The_GIMP
The code to produce the box on the right is here:
    {{sn|'''Article summary:'''
This article will show how to enable rudimentary CMYK support in The GIMP using the Separate plug-in, and explain how to use color proof filter to soft-proof your images.
It will also cover more general topics on CMYK colors and DTP.
    '''Required software:'''

    *[http://www.littlecms.com/ lcms]
    *[http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/iccprofiles/win/AdobeICCProfiles_end-user.zip Adobe ICC profiles]
    *[http://www.blackfiveservices.co.uk/separate.shtml Separate plugin source]
    '''Related article:'''

This is the best we can do with current ArchWiki setup. It would be even better if we could list categories in the box, as well as i18n links.

I've been tinkering with the templates. It's fixed now, I think.
Anyway, the templates used for the job can be seen from the code:

As you can see, it's a bit more typing than before, but it sure looks better. I might shorten the names for the templates. I wanted to make them memorable so they are a bit long.
As you can see, the problem of i18n links integration was fixed, so you can use existing i18n template and combine with the new "Article summary" set.
I will modify the article about writing summaries to include those templates and examples.
EDIT:   the i18n links in the article are just examples. Don't use them, since they lead to non-existing pages.
EDIT2: Okay, I've played around with the appearance of the summary box, but I'm at work now, so it's going nowhere. I'll play with it some more when I get home.

  • Looking for a new toy to help your editing workflow?  Try this!

I recently ditched my simple 2-button + scroll wheel mouse for a mouse on steroids: the Logitech G700.  What a difference!  It has 11 customizable functions that can be automatically activated depending on the program you're in!  So you can have a completely unique set of functions for Premiere, Photoshop, AE, Windows, etc, and each set will automatically/instantly be activated whenever that specific program/interface is the active one!
Here are my 2 layouts to give you some ideas:
    Premiere Pro Layout:
    Windows Layout:
You can even assign multi-step macros to keys.  For example, I set one of the keys to: Deselect clips + Add Default Video Transition.  So now, a single keypress will always apply my default video transition to the CTI, even if any clips were selected, just the way it worked in CS6 and I wanted it to keep working in CC!
If you're looking for a simple inexpensive way to improve your editing work, I highly recommend getting a programmable mouse like this one!  If anyone has any other hardware devices that help their workflow, please share so that we can all benefit from the knowledge.
    Cheers!

I am in the market for a new PC for my wife, and she will be inheriting the keyboard and mouse I am using now so I can get new ones. She picked these out to begin with since we were sharing a computer for a while so she will be happy with them.
That looks like a really great mouse. I may just have to take your advice on this one.
Although the newer version looks even cooler: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=dp_ob_tit le_ce
My wife would HATE that mouse, but since she will finally have her own again, I can get any mouse I want.
    Very cool. Thanks.

  • Improvements for Siri?

Voice recognition in general has come a long way however it's still got a long way to go.
Siri so far has shown itself to be quite superior but I have a few ideas how it could improve.
For the new next generation iPhone (i.e. iPhone 5) and iOS update Siri should be enabled with being able to store voice files.
The problem with voice recognition is that an accent can change if you are either from the city or the country from whichever country you come from.
So within your contact list there should be a record option.
For names that require a special pronounciation you can record they way it should sound and store it as part of the contact's details so that the next you tell Siri to call this person with your voice it will recognise and repeat the name (in it's own voice not yours) the way it is supposed to sound.
This works much the same way as making custom defaults for Keyboard shortcuts, if you can do this with words why not do the same with voiced words?
I know some of us who have friends with names that can be hard to pronounce become frustrated with and a little left out that our names mean that we can't indulge with the same convenience as someone named Simon or John.
Apple prides itself on personalising your device for the way that you want to use it and incorporating voice files as part of Siri would only prove this point. Plus programmers would not need to program all the different accent and words of the world into this possible new version of Siri.
I think that if this does become a reality then customers who have bought iPhone 4S should be allowed for this iOS update as well. I don't say this because I have one of my own (I only have a 4 at the moment ), it's just that Apple has 100's of millons of loyal customers millions of whom have already bought the 4S. They should not have to get a brand new product to enjoy the new software.
Apple has done this sort of thing before with the iPhone 3S when they introduced the iOS 4.0 and this sort of service I think should continue.
Anyway what do you guys think?
    Any other ideas?

Maybe you should start your own thread and actually ask a coherent question instead of trying to latch on to one that's been dead for almost 3 years.

  • Is there an update for N93 ?

Did Nokia release an update for N93 ?
    I have V20.20.0.58

I experience these problems with the phone.
    1. The menus are VERY slow, it takes up to 10 seconds for contacts to open or write new sms after pressing the buttons.
    2. People are complaining that my phone is very often switched off, (I never switch it off).
    3. The phone shuts itself off.
    4. Calls are hanging, and when that happens the phone get's very hot and the battery drains in 30 minutes.
    5. The still camera gives very poor pictures.
    6. The sound dissapears and the motorsound from the zoom can be heard when you use the movie camera.
    7. If I call the phone from my landline, I rings in the landline handset for 4 times before the Nokia rings.
Everytime I go to the Nokia service centre, they say that this is normal for N93 and I should not worry about it.
I was suspecting that there was no update available since they keep on giving me new handsets, but what is the point since it is probably a hardware problem.
The engineer told me they have plenty of phones to give me since we have a big stock after the mass withdrwawal of this model from the market.

  • Nokia N93 new firmware

When Nokia will provide us a new version of firmware for N93 whit A2DP – Bluetooth Stereo ?

It looks like there's not going to be any further firmware update for our n93. I wrote to Nokia Care Spain and this is what they answered me:
    Dear Mr. Parra:
Thank you for contacting Nokia Care.
There's no scheduled firmware update for this device. It was designed as a mobile phone that featured a videocamera, but it doesn't have any 3D acceleration chip, so it's not designed to be used as a gaming console.
Please, don't hessitate to contact us for future asking
    Yours faithfully,
    Christian B.

    The original in Spanish:
    "Estimado Sr. Parra:
    Atentamente,

I can't believe it!! Nokia has decided to completely abbandon the users of the device that once was his flagship phone, and one of the most expensive ever!! I hope he isn't well informed, because the n93 does have a 3d hardware graphics acceleration chip...or not?

  • N93 new firmware after V20.0.058

Do u think dis will hapn?...
I dnt think so. Now Nokia hav launched N93i, so no more production of N93 which has noise problem in optical zoom, ppl wont buy, rnt buying N93.
So no more firmwares for N93 after V20.0.058
Nokia introduced V20.0.058 so as to save itself frm d angry N93 customers who were facing so many probs wid N93
You cn see the firmwares for N80 n keep a look at N93i,N95's also. Firmwares for N80, N93i n N95 will com but there wouldnt b ny new firmware for N93

  • Searching for my new telephone

    Hello.
I'm sorry for my english. I'm looking for a new telephone, maybe will be 9360.
I need a phone with a good reception and with an address book that synchronizes all outlook fields including categories.
I have several contacts with 2-3 email, 2-3 cellular numbers, office address and phone, home address and phone number etc....,  and I like to have all the fields on the phone.
I hope that there is the possibility to have different ringtones for each category.
I read that the battery has a short life, but I don't use internet and mail: this improves the duration?
    thanks for the replies

  • I'm trying to upgrade my iCloud storage for the new price.

I'm trying to upgrade my iCloud storage for the new price, but it doesn't gives me the option of 20G for $0.99 a month.
    How can I get 20g for $0.99 a month?
    Thanks!

    Katherine,
have you read the message in the panel? Something is wrong with your credit card. Perhaps you have to enter a new date of expiration.
In the small print it says, there is still a purchase, that needs paying,"Ugly Heart" with an amount of R 9.99. And "We were unable to authorise your credit card for this purchase".  You will first have to update your Billing Information before you can proceed to make a new purchase for upgraded storage.  Click "Account Details" in the iCloud panel.
    -- Léonie
If you cannot fix the account from the iCloud panel, open iTunes and sign into the "Store" menu, Then use the "Store > View account" item there to check for problems with your Billing Information.

  • If I wanted to exchange my iPhone 5 for the new iPhone 6 (no additional cost after $199 gift card from selling iPhone 5) do I have to pre-order online or do I just have to show up at a Verizon store Sept 19th?

If I wanted to exchange my iPhone 5 for the new iPhone 6 (no additional cost after $199 gift card from selling iPhone 5) can I pre-order online now or do I just have to show up at a Verizon store Sept 19th?

scodaddy, that is a wonderful question. We are super excited about the new iPhone. You can always pre-order your new iPhone online and then start the mail in rebate by following this link: http://bit.ly/GGnDDC Or you can always go into the store location and do it all in store on the 19th when the phone is launched. That would depend on if the store has them in stock when you go in. I hope that this was able to address your concern.

  • Error while generating DDL commands using startSQLRepository for a new Repository

    Hi,
I am trying to generate DDL Commands using startSQLRepository for my new repository SubashRepository so that I can use them to create new table structure.
All the repository related changes looks good. i can see my repository in ACC
    When I run the command:
    startSQLRepository -m SupremeATG –repository /com/supreme/SubashRepository /com/supreme/subashRepository.xml -outputSQLFile C:/ATG/ATG9.3/SupremeATG/config/com/supreme/subashRepositoryDDL.txt
    I get following error:
Table 'SUBASH_MEMBER' in item-descriptor: 'member' does not exist in a table space accessible by the data source.  DatabaseMetaData.getColumns returns no columns
    Note:
    * errors related to definition file were cleared as the same command threw relevant exception while trying to store a array property with out creating a multi table.
    * Now this is the only exception i see
    * Some DDL are getting generated in the output file, but those are related to inventory repository (I am not sure why this is happening as I have specifically gave the path to my definition file).
Any help in resolving this is highly appreciated.
