In a new session of firefox, the initial download of a file is slow

In a new session of firefox, the first file downloaded on that session is slow to start. Almost like a pause before it bring up the where to save window. I have the "please ask me where to save" selected. Every subsequent download after the initial download, firefox brings up the where to save window quickly. Firefox 3.6.3.

How do I create new sessions in Firefox with no add ons ? Need not be logged in user sessions .

Hi, From our integrated desktop application,We launch web applications .On using firefox to navigate to the webpage which is depending upon the context of the user's page opened,new session has to be created for each user.However I could not find the support parameters in about:config. FF version being used is FF 3.6 .No possibility to include external addons to support this feature.Is there a way to create multiple new sessions ?

What do you mean by "multiple new sessions"?
Firefox 31 is the current release version, Firefox 3.6 is over 2 years beyond being supported by Mozilla.

When I create a new tab it always presents a Yahoo search engine rather than my home page (Google). A new session of firefox does not do this but acts normally

When opening a new tab, the 'homepage' presented in the new tab is a Yahoo homepage. If however, I open a new session of Firefox rather than a new tab, I get my normal Google homepage.

Need to enhace tcode FD32 to add new screen fields on the initial screen

Hi All,
I am supposed to add two new screen fields on the initial screen of TCODE FD32,
I am unable to find any screen exit for that. Is there any screen exit present for that or is there any way to do this.

Upon downloading a file I can open it only after the initial download. If I try to open the file later it won't open. What can I do to get the downloaded files to open?

The download can be any type of file video, word, etc. After the initial download I can view it, but if I try to open the file later I can't.

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

When i open a new tab in Firefox, the yahoo website will open automatically in this tab. How can i prevent any website from opening in my new tabs? I just want to open an empty tab.

You click on new tab, a new tab opens, but the tab is opened as the yahoo homepage.
I accidentally downloaded the yahoo toolbar as malware the other day. This toolbar is really imposible to remove. It's not in the sofware add/remove menu, i've tried with several anti-malware sofware, they didn't succeed.
Now, i already made the toolbar invisible, but it still has a place in the firefox menu at the top of the browser, and like i said, it keeps opening itself in a new tab.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

The window where Domain Name, Edit, Modify doesn't show up to access my Fatcow website on my new iMac in Firefox (the only browser Macs can use). Help!

Just got a new iMac. For the first few days, I was able to log in to, then access the window in Fatcow web host that allows me to make changes to my website. Now, the window that is supposed to say "Domain Name" and "Edit" and "Modify" is blank, so I cannot access my website to make changes. Firefox is the only browser available to Macs through Fatcow. In the two weeks before getting the iMac, I had the same problem on an Acer laptop. Hughesnet is our internet provider, since we live in the country. I have worked with several Fatcow techs, and they do not believe the problem is on their end. When I open Firefox, there is now also a message that says I'm missing plugins, yet when I follow the plugin link, no plugins are listed as missing. I have removed/reinstalled Firefox, to no avail. I have turned off the clear-cookies-automatically add-on, cleared the cache and history, etc., to no avail. I have printed out the HTML script for the Fatcow window from my Mac at work (from which I can access the window) and compared to the one at home. There doesn't appear to be any script missing, but I can't say for sure. I have read several articles, hoping for clues to fixing this problem. Now I need your technical expertise. HELP!

When I have tried since to access all areas in Business Banking
I'm unable to do so, namely download next day forecasts.
I've rung HSBC and they have assured me it is not a problem with
their service as they can read my forecasts. It is very important that I can access this witout daily phone calls as cashflow is very tight.

How to restore data on new iphone without using the initial setup

I bought a new iphone 5s today but the guy in the shop skipped the initial setup to activate the sim meaning I didn't get to restore the data through iCloud from my old phone as the wifi in the shop wasn't working. I have now got home to a wifi connection and have signed into my iCloud account but how do I restore my data? Or how do I get back to the initial setup?

On your phone: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You can now restore your previous phone's backup to your new phone.

and tried to click on one of the 3 More Info boxes (Just Broadband, Broadband and Phone,... etc). Each time I click the More Info box, a new instance of Firefox is opened with a blank page showing and 'Untitled' in the tab heading.

Start new session automatically after the current one is expired

Hi Guys,
My application should be displayed on the screen 24/7 . The information there is being refreshed every 5 minutes. When the APEX session is expired the refresh stops working and the page has to be reloaded.
I'm looking for the solution that would allow to keep the application always on and to start new session automatically without a human being involved.

Being impatient, I've already found a solution. I created a JavaScript function the reloads the page. Instead of current session ID in the url I use 1. In this case apex generates the new session.
The Timer Plug-in runs the function every X minutes.
The function code is the following:

When I downloaded new version of firefox, the feature where when I open a new tab a page loads that contains mini-windows containing my most visited sites. where is this feature now!?

So with the new version of firefox I lost the feature where, whenever I opened a new tab, instead of a blank tab page, a page would appear that contained mini-windows containing pics of all my most often used websites. I could then simply click on one of maybe six windows to go directly to my most used sites. What happened to this? I really, really, really miss this feature. How can I get it back?

The Google Toolbar and other extensions for Firefox include a list of compatible Firefox versions. Currently, the Google Toolbar only goes up to Firefox 4. However, people have tested and it actually works on Firefox 5, so there are two workarounds:
(1) Edit a file to revise the range of compatible versions
(2) Install an add-on that lets you ignore the range of compatible versions
