  • Linksys PAP2T Voip adapter

I am using the Linksys PAP2T Voip adapter, how do I configure it to work with Skype?

You cannot. PAP2T is a SIP client (SIP is an open VoIP protocol), while Skype uses its own which is proprietary and not compatible with SIP.
I now see that there is a service named Skype Connect (previously known as SIP for Skype) which enables a SIP device, such as PAP2T, to connect with Skype using SIP trunks (trunk can be considered as a connection). However, it is a service oriented to businesses, so I suppose it won't be cost effective for a home account.
Another option is to buy a Skype enabled ATA, like Connect Me by FREETALK, which is an adapter similar to PAP2T but is directly compatible with Skype.
    Hope this helped.

  • Delete existing profile in Linksys PAP2 phone adapter!!!

Can any one please let me know how to delete the existing profile from the Linksys PAP2 phone adapter. It is not allowing to save the new profile. after updating the new profile, it will be there for couple mins then old profile is overriding the new one.
    Please help me with this.
    Thanks,

check if there is something on the Profile Rule paramater under Provisioning tab other than the default /init.cfg then delete it...it is possible that device resyncs to that profile which then brings back the old settings...

  • Configuring IPCop with Linksys PAP2 Adapter

I want to configure my Linksys PAP2 Adapter with the IpCop.. Any thing regarding this can be very helpfull....
    Thanks

Hi… I think IpCop is just another router, so just go ahead and install the PAP2 as per instructions. Only thing is that IPCop have only one Ethernet port, so get a switch and connect the IpCop to the switch and connect the PAP2 to the switch. Revert back if have any specific error while configuring the PAP2.

  • Port forwarding feature in Linksys VoIP adapter

    Hello,
I tried to use the port forwarding feature (in the Application tab), but could not get successful. I need to telnet to a Cisco router behind my Linksys VoIP Adapter, uses starting port=23, ending port=23 and ip is the Cisco router ip.
Let me know if I am missing anything. I tried the DMZ feature too, but still the same result.
When I am trying from outside I get this:
    termserver>telnet 75.156.137.224
    Trying 75.156.137.224 ...
    %Connection refused by remote host
If I configure the Cisco Router with NAT, I have no problem connecting from outside. I want the Linksys as the gateway, not the Cisco router. Any help would be highly appreciated.

What is the model number of your Linksys router? Make sure that you have the latest firmware on the device. Also make sure that you forward TCP port 23 for the IP address of the Cisco router coming from the DHCP server of the Linksys router or if you have a static, it has to be on the same subnet as Local IP address of the Linksys router.

  • E4200 - SIP ports blocked to/from Linksys SPA2102 VoIP ATA

The E4200 seems to block UDP ports to/from a Linksys SPA2102 ATA VoIP adapter.  I tried enabling SIP ALG and still lost dial tone by morning. I tried looking at the Admin logs to see which inbound / outbound ports are being blocked but the log functions on this router only seems to display outbound information with no specifics as to what ports or protocols are being blocked by the E4200.
Does anyone on this forum know what configurations to change on the E4200 to allow the transparent operation of the SPA2102 VoIP ATA behind it?
Any hope Cisco will fix the log functions to display useable and meaningful information needed to setup Application specific configurations?

  • Configure Linksys SPA3000

    Hello to all,
I am a newbie to Linksys VoIP Adapter, SPA3000. I recently purchased it with below in mind.
I want to have a DID for ABC country and configure it with this device such that anyone calling me on that DID number, it gets transferred/forwarded to my Local Country number. I have some idea about things but am not able to figure out things.
Can someone please guide me how to configure this device ? Options as below,
To have a DID for my home country.
Anyone calling from my home country to the DID number, i want to get that call transferred/forwarded to my International Mobile number.
    Please guide. Thanks in advance.
    Sid.

Here is one way to do the above.
I assume you have a PSTN line attached to the Line port of the SPA3000 because you are going to forward the call out the FXO (Line) port.
You configure your voip account with the DID on the PSTN Line tab.  You make sure it registers and it isn't the same account you have registered under Line 1.  Under voip-to-pstn gateway you set VoIP Caller Auth Method to none, you set VoIP Caller Default DP to a Dial Plan number where you have a dial plan with the PSTN number you wish to dial to forward the call.  In the dial plan field that corresponds to the number you set you put the number you wish to dial, for example (<:19253554567>S0)
If the SPA is attached to a router and you have audio problems read up on NAT traversal.

  • Bought Linksys PAP2 firmware 3.1.9 need to unlock

I bought a Linksys PAP2 with firmware 3.1.9 with the understanding that it was not locked only to find that it in fact is locked. I'm not sure which provider it's locked to but I cannot do any administration on the web administration page of the PAP2. Any help would be great, thanks.

where did you purchased the device? try to look for pap2-na so you can be sure that it is unlocked (unless the device was preconfigured by another user).  you may try to reset the device by pressing ****73738 from the analog phone connected to the device. if it will ask for password then there is no other way to access the device,

  • WRT-610N and my VOIP adapter

So I've got my WRT-610n hooked up, replacing my WRT-54g, and so far it's working fine, with the one exception that my VOIP adapter doesn't work? If I unplug the router and the cable modem and re-plug them in, it works great, for about 5 minutes, then it doesn't recognize the phone anymore. I'm pretty sure it's not the VOIP adapter, although the power and internet lights are both lit on it. (voip is Linksys spa2102)
    Thanks for any suggestions.

It should ideally work, did you check the firmware on your router as it could a firmware problem...You should have Ver.1.00.02.10 Firmware, if not Download Firmware 7.27 MB, and Upgrade your router...See if this helps...Make sure you reset and re-configure your router after the Upgrade...

  • Dynamic configuration bean in JMS Adapter

    Hello Experts,
My scenario is JMS(Active MQ) to File. Its just Passthrough scenario and no mapping involved.
Filename will be coming in one of the JMS Property (say businessId) and I need to set this filename to file adapter.
I have refered the stefan's blog and used the Dynamic configuration bean module in sender JMS adapter.
    getFilename key.1 write http://sap.com/xi/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty4
    getFilename value.1 module.filename
    setFilename key.1 read http://sap.com/xi/System/File FileName
    setFilename value.1 module.filename
But required filename is not populated in the target File.Any other configuration is missing here?

    Hi Karthiga
Did you set the ASMA properties in both your sender JMS channel and receiver File channel?
For the JMS adapter, as shown below, you will need to enter the DCJMSMessageProperty4 into the table
Configuring the Sender JMS Adapter - Configuring the JMS Adapter in the Integration Directory/PCK - SAP Library
If you want to set additional JMS message attributes, select Specify Additional JMS Message Properties (Maximum of 10).
In the table, enter the names of the JMS message properties whose values are to be included in the message header of the PI message.
The technical names of the additional attributes are DCJMSMessageProperty0, DCJMSMessageProperty1, ..., DCJMSMessageProperty9.
For the File adapter, you need to check the ASMA FileName attribute.
Once you have this configured, in your message, you should be able to see that the value is in the DynamicConfiguration section of the SOAP header.

Clearly this is too late to help you, but since this is showing up on Google and there are about a thousand views, this answer might be helpful to another.
Once you access the Voice Admin menu and provision your device for your VoIP provider, access to the Voice menu is subsequently "Locked".
Your VoiP provider's system has set a new unique password for the Voice menu once the provisioned device has synced with your providers system.
You should be able to get that password from the control panel on you VoIP account profile under "equipment" or a call to support or an e-mail request should garner the password.
The Login will be "admin" and the password provided will get you back into Voice menu system.
You will also need this password if you want to reset the Voice features back to factory defaults.  Because of this system it appears that a WRP400 cannot be unlocked by merely using the reset button.

  • Linksys pap2 without router

    hi
i recently created account with iconnecthere.com and got broadband phone adapter from linksys PAP2t. I am using bsnl as my broad band service provider from india. Can i use pap2t without router? i mean that can i set connection as modem to pap2t withount router?
    thanks for cooperation.

It seems your modem is also a router since the IP address that you got was 192.168.1.3 and you also have a default gateway of 192.168.1.1. Now if it is really a router/modem in one, then you can connect your PAP2T and your computer to this modem/router and both devices should be able to get online. Otherwise, if this modem is just a modem and not a router then only one device will get online at a time; either PC only or PAP2T only.
Now for the PAP2T to be able to get dial tone, you need to make sure that all your VoIP account info from iconnecthere is properly configured in the PAP2T.
If you are not sure how to configure it, you better go to www.linksys.com/kb and select VoIP under products then pap2. Click on the search button and look for KB article 5198 which you can use as a reference on how to set your pap2t.

  • Unable to configure Linksys E2500 to use PPPoE connection

I am using the Ubuntu Linux 12.04 operating system and have been able to use the Linksys E2500 router with Automatic Configuration – DHCP setting and my modem in PPPoE mode to use my DSL connection. But I would like to be able to use my router with the PPPoE connection setting so I can use a firmware like Tomato which has more advanced features like bandwidth logging.
I was able to log into the configuration page of my SpeedTouch ST516 modem and set it to bridge mode according to the instructions here: http://www.speedtouch.ca/bridgemode.php
I then tried to set up the router to use PPPoE according to the instructions here: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&vw=1&articleid=3687
I get the message "Can not get an IP address from PPPoE" again when I try to set up the connection in step 4. Resetting the router does not help. I also tried running 'sudo service networking restart' and the 'sudo dhclient -r; sudo dhclient' in Ubuntu's terminal but still got the same message.
I double checked that I used right login information and vpi from my ISP. I used the same info to configure the modem to PPPoE mode again so I can connect to the internet. I had to reset the modem back to factory defaults using the reset button at the back to access the modem configuration page after I disconnected the ethernet cable from the router and plugged it into the modem.
Is there a possible bug with using PPPoE with this router? Is there anything else I can try besides what is stated in the instructions linked to above?

    jaymay
"If you are getting an error "Can't get an IP from PPPoE Server", that would mean that it's possible that the account information you've typed in is incorrect or the modem is not set properly to bridged mode. You can test this by connecting your computer directly to the modem and create a PPPoE dialer. If it will let you connect successfully then you are using the correct username and password. If not then you might have to verify the correct info from your ISP."
    > Again, "I double checked that I used right login information and vpi from my ISP. I used the same info to configure the modem to PPPoE mode again so I can connect to the internet." And yes I was also able to connect with a PPPoE dialer and computer directly connected to the modem.
"It could be possible that what you just need to do in the router is to change it's LAN IP address to a different range compared to what you are getting from the modem to avoid IP conflict. For more information about setting up the router with DSL connection, you may refer to this link: Setting up a Linksys router for DSL Internet connection."
    > That link is exactly the same link in my sentence: "I then tried to set up the router to use PPPoE according to the instructions here: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&vw=1&articleid=3687"
The router ip address used is set to http://192.68.2.1 which differs from the ip addresses of the modems I tried.
