Are you looking for how PCA is linked in AR and AP?
If so the profit center which you define in the material master under the Sales General tab and Costing 1 tab will link when ever you pass any transaction in AR and AP.
If not please elobarate you dought clearly.

  • CRM and GWI: Where to define an account team?

    Hey experts,
I´ve a question about the clientbased gwi, where you´re able to set several profile parameters. one of such a parameter  is DonwloadContactsFromCRM.
in the sap description is it described with: "Contacts of Account: Download Contacts for which the logged-in SAP CRM user belongs to the account team to which the contact is assigned."
so, actually it should be possible that a sap crm user is referred to an account team and this account team could be assigned to some customers.
from my point of view, the gwi checks if the sap user in an account team followed by the check if an account team is assigned to an account. the result is, that the account is transferred to outlook.
but, where can I define such an account team in sap crm???? or isnt it possible? but, why is it described in that way?
hope someone is able to help me.
    thank you very much!

  • Revenue account issue.

    Hello all,
I am currently stuck on an issue. I would be extremely grateful for any thoughts or feedback.
My client sells a certain product as well as accessories for that product. Currently, the US company code has a Revenue acct for the Product and another revenue account for the Accesories. The client has approximately 8 Resellers (who are in effect also customers) in 8 different countries. Each Reseller sells the product in their respective country. Currently all the revenue from individual customers as well as these Resellers goes into the Product Revenue A/c and the Accesory Revenue A/c. Each Reseller sells the Product in their respective country.
<b>The client wants to maintain <u>individual</u> Revenue(separate) A/c for each specific Reseller.</b>They want each Reseller to have a Revenue A/c for Product and for Accessories. They also want all the individual Revenue accts for Resellers to roll up into ONE main revenue acct for the US company code.
    Eg. US company code
400000 (main revenue acct for product) $12000 (CanMalaysiaFrance)
400001 (Reseller Revenue acct for product sold in Canada) $4000
400002 (Reseller Revenue acct for product sold in Malaysia) $4000
400003 (Reseller Revenue acct for product sold in France) $4000
    Etc.
410000 (main revenue acct for Accessory) $6000 (CanMalaysiaFrance)
410001 (Reseller Revenue acct for accessory sold in Canada)) $2000
410002 (Reseller Revenue acct for accessory sold in Malaysia) $2000
410003 (Reseller Revenue acct for accessory sold in France) $2000
    etc.
Keep in mind that regular sales to US customers (web, phone orders) need to go into the main Revenue accounts (400000 and 410000).
<b>Is there a way to configure this in SAP?</b>
Sorry for the long question, but I was trying to be as detailed as possible. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
You can Account Assignment Group in Customer Master - Sales Area Data - Billing document.
In Transaction code, you need to define Revenue Accounts for each of the different Account Assignment Group Combinations.
As your SAP system is already live, this needs to be taken up as a mini project and plan it meticulously / test it and then move to Production system.
    Thanks
    Murali.

  • Help needed-Revenue account categorization

    Hi
We have a requirement. A Sales order has 3 different lines. There is a different item on each of those lines. There are 3 different revenue accounts on each of those lines. One is Sale of Goods Account. The second one is Rental revenue account and the third is Maintenance revenue account.
We need to create a single invoice from the three Sales order lines which show the 3 different revenue accounts. Currently we are getting 3 invoices lines for the 3 sales order lines.
I would like to know how this requirement can be statisfied with Oracle applications. Can the autoaccounting engine be modified or is there any way using subledger accounting by which we can achieve this objective.
    Regards
    Prashanth

To derive the Revenue account from the lines, setup autoaccounting rules for Revenue and for your Natural Account segment, specify 'Standard Line'. That means the natural account for the revenue line of your invoice will always be picked up from the revenue account of the item that is been used for the sales order line.
Normally, all lines of your sales order should go in one invoice. If they are spltting into three different invoices, you will have to check the grouping rules. If there are no grouping rules, there might be some mandatory column that has a different value for all those 3 lines.

  • G/L Account and Revenue Account determination

    Hi all,
What is the difference between G/L Account determination and Revenue Account determination?
    How to configure them?
    Regards,
    Ajit

    Hi,
The account keys ERL , ERS, DIFF which are related to revenue and sales deduction in your pricing procedure are defined in transaction VKOA. Here the account key, chart of accounts, your sales organization and G/L accnt combination are maintained.
Whereas all the tax codes G/L accounts get picked from transaction OB40 , So in your pricing procedure where ever you see tax account keys, make sure you go to OB40, input your tax code and then you will see all the G/L accounts against each respective account key. This is nothing but the calculation of tax on sales / purchases.
Alternatively you can check transaction FTXP based on chart of accounts and tax code which proposes automatic G/L accounts configured by FI consultants
Hope this will solve your query.
If it does, please dont forget to reward points for contribution.

  • Where we have to open and close posting periods in asset accounting

    hi sap gurus
can anybody give where we have to open and close posting periods in asset accounting
    thank you
    venkatareddy

    Hi Venkatareddy,
You make specifications for fiscal years and posting periods in the SAP R/3 System in Customizing for Financial Accounting. This is done in the fiscal year variant in the global parameters of the company code. These settings are, in general, also binding for Asset Accounting. The depreciation periods in Asset Accounting then correspond to the posting periods in Financial Accounting.<b> It is usually not necessary to create a separate fiscal year variant for Asset Accounting.</b>
The period control in the depreciation key determines the start and end of depreciation when asset transactions are posted . The period control determines the relationship between the calendar period in which the asset transaction is posted and the depreciation period.
These calendar periods are independent of the posting periods in Financial Accounting. The only restriction is that the beginning of the first calendar period and the end of the last calendar period defined in a period control have to match the start date and final date of the fiscal year in Financial Accounting.
Kindly let me know if this useful for you

I want to create the shared services security import file. Do anyone knows where to define the group or user roles for it. Earlier we have to changes in CSImportexport.

I am taking export only first and this is what i got from export, if you see below under role id there are some codes generated internally, if I have to give any group different roles like planner, application creator, interactive user... where in csv file I can define those.

    COBL-HKONT IN R_HKONT2
My question is where and how do we define the R_HKONT1 and R_HKONT2?
Anyone keen to show the steps?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Alexander,
    These are nothing but Sets.
You need to create the Sets in Transaction Code GS01.
For change: Tx. Code is GS02
For Display: TX. code is GS03.

    Hi Prasanna,
SQL Trace Locate the document in its SAP Library structure
    Use
The SQL Trace function is an on-demand log of selected SQL statements that are issued against the database through the Open SQL Engine. The SQL Trace can be switched on or off dynamically. The log format is database independent. Besides the SQL statement text, each log record contains information about the point in time when the statement was executed, its duration, its input parameters and results (where applicable) as well as context information.
    Features
The SQL Trace is especially useful for:
    ·        Development
SQL Trace can help JDO, enterprise beans, servlet and JSP developers to learn which kind of database accesses their code produces.
    ·        Performance analysis
Typically, performance issues are caused by inefficient database accesses. In this case SQL Trace can be used to show the issued SQL statements and their duration, thus helping to identify inefficient SQL statements.
    Activities
Typically, you should use the SQL Trace when you need to check the behavior of a particular application. This is the following scenario:
           1.      You launch the SQL Trace application.
           2.      You activate the SQL Trace.
           3.      You run the application that you want to trace.
           4.      You deactivate the SQL Trace.
           5.      You set filters optionally.
           6.      You evaluate the trace.
You can also evaluate a trace that already exists.
The SQL Trace also provides functions for file administration.
    Note
SQL Trace is less suitable for detecting general performance issues. Therefore, we do not recommend that you keep it constantly activated, as it consumes additional resources.
Performance Measurements Locate the document in its SAP Library structure
    Runtime Analysis
If you want to monitor the performance of your system, or compare its performance at different times, you can perform a runtime analysis.  You usually start the runtime analysis (after performing certain activities in the system) with transaction SE30.
You use transaction SICF to activate the runtime analysis both for ICF runtime and for applications that run using ICF runtime. You can evaluate the results with transaction SE30.
You can start these functions from the menu in transaction SICF by choosing Edit ® Runtime Analysis, and then measure the performance. Choose Activate and enter the request paths for which you want activate the runtime analysis.
You can set the option User-Dependent to activate the runtime analysis for a specific user or client (that is, all users in a client) You can also implement a measurement variant. To do this, you must enter the variant user (owner of the variant), the variant itself, and the precision.
This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Any active runtime analyses must be deactivated after the requests have been executed. You deactivate the requests in transaction SICF by choosing Edit ® Runtime Analysis ® Deactivate. This deactivates the corresponding paths and users.
You can evaluate the recorded runtime measurements in transaction SE30. The measurement results are saved under the user defined in the settings in transaction SICF. If you select the option User-Dependent, you find the entries in transaction SE30, under the user with which you executed the requests. If the option User-Dependent is not active, the entries are saved under the user SAPSYS. You can find the measurement entries for specific users in transaction SE30 under Performance File ® Other File… Enter the relevant user name.
In the following section, you can read about Transporting ICF Services.
