  • Do we have a in-built CLOCK in LC pls.?

    Hello
I am a newbie to LC, am developing a form, where in I need to place a DATE field and TIME field. So, from pallette I got the DATE field and am seeing the calender for date selection, well, but I thought its the same case with TIME field that user gonna hv a clock / digital clock provision for time slecton, but its not?
    Pls. let me know
    1) Do we have a in-built clock function for TIME selection in LC?, if so, how can get it onto my form
    2) If there is not such thing, what is the PATTERN i need to maintain so that users will not enter junk?
    3) If I want to do any validations against user entered data, pls. let me know the JS and the EVENT name pls.?
    Thank you

    Hi MSR1306,
Please download the document (https://sendnow.acrobat.com/?i=UkrpBFvh552UiwrbWl5WFA ) in which I used a datetime control to enter and display time.
I have applied patterns in the datetime control to validate the input. For date and time patterns description, please navigate to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/designerHelp/index.htm?topic=000404 .
You can also use a dropdown list control, so that user can select from the entered values.
    Thanks

  • Where is the built-in iOS world clock on the iPad?

i have an iTouch and i use the built-in iOS world clock, alarm, stopwatch, and timer app often.  i want it on my iPad 1 with iOS5.  why can't i find it anywhere or why isn't it just part of the base system?  lucas

Well, I am sorry; that is a deal breaker for me, at least concerning the iPad.  I have been using the itouch for a few years and I program Xcode for ios.  My job gave me this iPad to test and frankly I wanted the base itouch apps and then some.  There is absolutely no reason why apple can not extend those base apps to iPad interface, especially since it is the same os and object model.  Even my students agree that these base apps are best on the itouch.  So what does it take to convince apple to extend these base apps to the iPad?

  • Disable the built-in clock app?

Is there a way to disable the "Clock" app built-in to the iPad?  Or at least the alarm function?  We have several iPads available for student use in a public school, and while we can restrict most things to keep them from causing mischief (cannot add accounts, install apps, etc...), I see no way to prevent them from seting the alarm with custom messages and such.
    Any possibility of disabling this?

Sorry, there's no way I know of to restrict or disable the Clock app. Probably all you can do is put it in a folder to make it a bit less obvious.
    Regards.

  • I downloaded a application to my iphone5, however when i open the application i receive a message stating that my device clock apperars to be incorrect as a result you may experience problems using this application. How do i fix this issue?

Im trying to watch a show but because of this message its not allowing me to do so. Again the error message im receiving is " Your device's clock appears to be incorrect as a result you ,ay experince problems using this application" how do i resolve this issue?

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
    *Firefox 26.0: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Installing+Firefox+on+Mac
Your personal data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data when you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.

  • TS2784 I have set my iphone5 time settings to automatic New York time. Throughout the day the clock keeps changing times on its own by hours. Sometimes in is correct. Sometimes it is wrong.

I have set my iphone5 time settings to automatic at New York time. Throughout the day the date and time on the phone keeps changing on its own and often by a few hours. Sometimes it goes to the correct time. Sometimes it is way out. Is there something wrong with my settings?

This is a known issue with the iPhone 5. Turn off the automatic time setting for the time being. It will most likely be corrected in an upcoming update to iOS if the tech press is to be believed.

  • Built in camera not showing up in devices

I have installed Skype but it can not find my built in camera (when I go to select the video device it doesn't find anything).  My system is a Dell Studio 1458.
    uname -r -s
    Linux 3.16.3-1-ARCH
I have searched and can not find anything useful.  I can't even seem to locate my camera.  The Arch Webcam Setup has some information but I can't even find my device listed.  This webcam has worked in the past (on other operating systems) but I have never tried to get it to work on Arch until now.

  • Alarm clock not working in iOS 7 with multiple alarms set.

I usually have two alarms set on my phone, both using the stock clock app.  One about an hour before I need to get up (so I can turn the heater on and crawl back under the covers), the other for the time I am supposed to get up.  The second alarm works just fine, but the fist one has not gone off for several days.  They are not recurring alarms because I need to change the time each day due to my work schedule.
The phone is *usually* in a speaker dock which is plugged into the wall, and works just fine for the purpose of playing my second alarm or any of my music.  When not in the dock, it is still plugged in to the charger but uses the built in speakers.
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know of a possible fix?
    iPhone model:  iPhone 5
iOS Version:  7.0.2 (will be updating to 7.0.3 when I return home from business on Nov. 1st)

Use IHome Sleep. It is great!! You don't need an IHome either!!

  • Times in system.log different than server's clock

    Hello,
The time that an event is recorded in system.log is different that the current time in the server's clock. For example, there is the entry:
    Dec 7 02:22:42 XServe DirectoryService[52]: Failed Authentication ....
but the time on the server is Dec 7 12.22:42.
    I use Mac OS X Server 10.4.3.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to make the times appear correctly in system.log.

    I've tried this:
I've put log4j.jar to the lib dir of the logicalhost and log4j.properties to another jar (my own) and put it to the lib dir too. I deleted the PropertyCOnfigurator.configure() line from the apps. Built it, manually deleted log4j.jar from the EARs. Then I deployed EARs, restarted the domain and ran the apps. They both logged to the same and correct file, but again the rolling didn't work. How is this possible? I thought that this way the IS should have one and only one instance of Log4j...

  • It is possible to transmit voice from a Headset Microphone to Iphone5?

I am planning to run Yoga classes in the near future and will need a headset microphone so my class can hear me clearly. I would like to use my Iphone5 in a speaker dock and was wondering if I could transmit sound from a  (preferably) wireless headset with built in microphone through to my iphone and out of the speaker dock?
    Many thanks for any help.

    What is the movie format?
Pad2, the new iPad Supported Video Formats & Movie Formats
    H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
    MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
Copy the movie to your computer, Then you can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • MAC PRO REFUSES TO BE CLOCKED BY EXTERNAL WORDCLOCK!

I used my Apogee Rosetta 200 as AD/DA and Wordclock going direktly into optical input on a G5 ...
    worked perfectly together for years.
pretty much what i loved macs for.
alas! those times are gone. with my new built mid 2010 machine and os 10.6.8 running, i get these
tiny clicks all the time, whatever they mean now... in the past on G5 and Tiger that meant: forgot switch to external clock in
the AMS (audio-midi-setup), done it, and ::: wow!!!
nowadays: total fail! i can set the Rosetta or the mac to whatever settings there are offerd, i ALWAYS get these clicks
and the sound is dull ...
i wonder, what has happenend here ... and after a month of research i´m getting really angry, too ...
Apogee claimed that Apple is known for changing the specs of the built in internal soundcard
every now an then. (not much help from there, either, but still better than no help at all from Apple)
Dear all: please,  i don´t need any of those "get a firewire-card/new interface, sth with a driver" - comments.
I just want the mac pro to live up to it´s name. and i need someone at Apple to tell me, that i really have to
completely rearrange my trustet & expensive equipment and spend another 2000 EUR to let a MAC PRO
sound as good as a 5 year old G5 machine ... (or be as fast, talking about 32 Bit modus!!!)
this whole development scares the **** out of me .. we surely do
not want to change the plattform, but one gets the notion that not before long they just want us to ...
    sorry for bothering ...

    Hi louie!
thank you so very much for caring!! I´ll try to provide as much information as possible:::
    sorted it into ABCD
    A: THE MAC
Machine is a MAC PRO5,1 built mid 2010, Quad Core Intel Xeon 2,4 Ghz
System is 10.6.8   (had the same issues under 10.7.x, too)
i get those clicks every 10 - 15 Seconds, some left, some right,
i get them in every audio, e.g. quicktime movies., itunes songs ... no so frequently, but they are there ..
Sound is otherwise ok, no fuzz or other artefacts than the clicksies ...
borrowed a Fireface UC just to be sure ... no clickies at all.
    B: AMS
in AMS i created a "Hauptgerät" (Main Device or whatever its called in the US System)
    it shows:
    DIGITAL INPUT (with a Clock-Icon)
DIGTAL OUTPUT (With a wave icon)
With MAIN DEVICE highlightes, the puldown menu on the right says: "Source for clock : Digital Inpit (inegrated)"
In the list of audio-devices below Digi-Out and In boxes are checked, AMS puts a checksign into the "resample" of Digital Output ... don´t know why ...
If beneath MAIN DEVICE i highlight the "digital input" it shows on the right:::
    Master stream
    source: Internal Clock
    Format: 44100,0 kkz 10 Channel, 24 Bit
But AMS crashes everytime i highlight "digital input" (thats a new "feature"!)
    C: ROSETTA 200
says Wide/Narrow , meaning "clock locked"
    Sample Rate 44,1
SRC is not on, neither on DIGI nor ANALOG outputs
WC/IO ist not set to external
(i don´t know the rosetta so well, it just always worked, so i never had to dig deeper)
    D: LOGIC
as far as i know and reseached there is no place in Logic where you would talk care of
    clocking (apart from MTC)
I/O Buffer is 256 Samples, but anyway, i have the clicks on every audio from every application
so, thats all i can offer you ... can you think of whats going wrong here?!?!? i do hope so ...
thanks for offering your help ,,, much appreciated!!!
    best
    bernd

I did not find facetime in iphone5. How to install please help me to install facetime

What country did you buy the phone in?
What iOS version does it have?
As has been said, Facetime is banned in some coutnries and so is not available on iPhones and cannot be insatlled.
Also, before iOS7, the iPhone had no Facetime icon, it was built into the Contacts App.

  • Clock and sometimes weather displaying wrong location

I have had the Incredible since June, up until yesterday I have not had any issues with the built in clock/weather display on the home page.  Yesterday, Sep 27th, it no longer was displaying a local town for the clock but saying Los Angeles with the weather for there.  I first clicked the weather part and did the refresh which did change the weather to say my local location; however the clock still was displaying Los Angeles for the time.  At this point I just turned off the phone then back on and it was all back to the correct listings.  It stayed correct after that.
Then today I was going to check the time in the afternoon and it said the time and temp for Shanghai China.  I am thinking this is the same issue as yesterday so I turn off the phone again, turn back on and it is the correct time and temp location.  This lasts for about 30 seconds and goes back to Shanghai.  I try the refresh on the weather part and it changes but not to my location but to Hong Kong.  I don't know if Shanghai and Hong Kong are in the same time zone or not but the time stayed the same 5am time when it changed.  I try the weather refresh again and it does then change the weather location to my local location but the clock remains on Hong Kong time.  I then went into the settings and location and then proceed to try every variation of VZW Locations Services, Google Location Services, and then Standalone GPS Services.  The last one does change my time back to the correct time but I would prefer to leave it on one of the others as the GPS one I can literally watch the battery drain.
It has been a couple hours since this occurred and I am now home and it is still giving the time as Hong Kong, with the correct weather for here.  Currently I have switched to GPS as the phone is plugged in so I don't need to worry about draining the battery.  I am hoping tomorrow morning when I switch it back off of GPS it will keep the correct time and weather.
Has anyone else suddenly had this issue, and if so what fixed it?  I have not had any updates on the phone for any apps in several days so I assume nothing else on the phone was changed/altered as I was not playing with the settings lately.

While I like the phone the battery is horrendously bad and when I have had the GPS on in the past it has a noticeable effect on the battery, as in at work I end up having to connect it to my computer to charge the battery a bit.
Either way that still does not really fix the very sudden issue of "phone having a new locationitis".  Why would both the VZW Locations Services and Google Location Services say I am in Shanghai and then Hong Kong.  I did open Google Maps to see where it said I was and that was correct which I would really think would agree with the Google Location Services so that doesn't make much sense why Google does not agree with itself.
It is currently about 3 hours after my initial post and currently the phone is saying with the default weather and the clock I am at the correct location, so it does appear to have corrected on it's own.  But it did the same thing yesterday so I am now thinking it could happen again tomorrow at some point or really how reliable it is to keep the correct location.  I do suppose someone can track me but think I am in China so I can do all kinds of local shenanigans and then say it wasn't me I was in China, check my phone location.

  • Is it possible to send a cancellation meeting to multiple users from my iphone5

I am away from my PC/Laptop and want to send a cancellation to all members of the meeting from my iphone5 (iOS8). I use Outlook for email and calendar.  When I delete event, it just deletes the meeting from my calendar and does not send a cancellation to others in the meeting.

Not with the built in Mail app or the Contacts App. Look at alternative mail apps like Group Email with Attachments and MailShot.

  • Can buffered digital edge detection only be performed using an external sample clock?

I am working on an application where I need to measure the speed (rpm) of a motor as it starts up using the output of its built in hall effect sensor.  The sensor should output 2 pulses per revolution of the motor.  My plan is to count the pulses from when the counter (counter 1) is armed to when it is up to speed. Looking at the M series manual, the CVI (v8.5.1) help, and the examples it appears that this can only be done using an external sample clock.  Is there a way to route an internal sample clock to the appropriate terminal on the counter so that I do not need to add additional hardware?
I am currently using a PCI-6289, but the final application will use a CDaq-9188 chassis (using one of the the built in 32-bit counters).
    Thank you for your assistance.

    Thank you for your input.
However, I did forget to mention one detail of the application.  I need to buffer the edge counts so that I can graph the speed of the motor as it starts up.  I need to be able to acquire the edge counts at reqular intervals so that I can determine how fast the motor was rotating at each point.  So far I have not been able to find an example of doing this without and external sample clock.  As I mentioned, in the final application I will be using the 32-bit counters on a CDAQ-9188 chassis.  The only thing I can think of at this point is to generate a pulse out of the second counter and use that as the sample clock.  Will this work?
